81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: May 02, 2024, 11:00:53 PM
We saw it fell under $20k, what's the idea of being afraid at this point? Its market price climbed the way up and the decline we saw recently is just a mere price correction. Problem is how people expects from a halving. Well, indeed the market price is expected to go up however nothing happens in an instant. Do try to check the pervious market price chart during having and look for how many months before the uptrend took place. Yes nothing guarantees that same thing will exactly happen but that's the only thing we could depend on at this point. What I know is that volatiity is in nature of cryptocurrency market prices and that no coin will have a consistent uptrend without any curves into it. What's best for now is to wait and to take advantage of the dip. It is still a good time to accumulate a decent amount of Bitcoin in preparation to bullrun.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamers using demo account on: May 02, 2024, 04:09:28 PM
Not surprising I guess. If they would use a personal account to showcase a gambling site, win rate will be the same and that means he'd rely solely on his luck. Take note that the goal of streamers is to promote a gambling site (most of the time), therefore if viewers would see the reality of how hard it is to win, they would associate the platform being promoted to other sites as alike. Some viewers are just so desperate or aware of the reality in gambling that they would be hooked up with a platform if they will see that the streamer is winning easily. This is why demo accounts are most of the time being shown because I think it has a higher winning rate which will aim to create an impression to audiences or simply encouraged them to engage on the platform being showcased.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You Submit KYC Before You Win Big on: May 02, 2024, 03:34:08 PM
That is how gambling sites are. Most of them will not demand for KYC from you as long as you are losing, but if you win and want to withdraw some money, they will go through your account and tell you to do necessary things before you can withdraw and requesting for your identity through KYC can be among the requirements.

My topics originates from the comment of this user above in this thread where the OP is writing to seek about KYC stuff. The link to it will be at the end of the topic.

I know casinos do this. I have experienced it too. It is also in their T&C. My question for casino lovers is that instead of waiting until we win big and are asked to submit KYC documents, will you do it before the casino management or administrator request of it? Is there anyone who has gone ahead to fill out and submit their KYC on their account or by asking their customer support for it way before they even start make a request.

Link to original post described in the OP - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5494948.0

Yes I would if the platform I am engaging my money with, will require it. It just happens that this procedure is being asked to players on withdrawal and not merely because of huge profit, which makes players to notice is later after they registered or before making a deposit. We already know the reason behind this procedure; to limit minors' exposure to gambling activities and laundering concerns. There are many platforms to choose from wherein this isn't required and with that, we're free to move from one to another if we would want to. Not everyone agrees with complying to KYC procedures and for sure providers know that as well.
If you intend to win big, you should already submit a KYC because that is necessary, at least if that happened, a casino has no more excuse not to pay you. I've read a lot of post about KYC being used against the gambler who win big money, so prevent that from happening, you may not win now but time will come when you are lucky, you can easily withdraw your winnings because you have already verified your account.

KYC is already a must nowadays, it's not required only if a casino is decentralized, or in short unregulated.
Are there any gambler who doesn't aim to gain good profit from gambling? I doubt. A gambling site will give your winnings if they are legitimate and this procedure is just there for a reason. Condition is simple, if you like a platform then you should follow these rules, if not, feel free to choose other gambling sites. Personally, I never encountered any issue so far from doing kyc, and I hope same goes with other platforms and bettors.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: May 02, 2024, 03:07:22 PM
I don't know about it, but if terms of achievement I doubt that he will become the next Manny Pacquiao, there are many similarities, but I'm not seeing him conquering the 147 lbs which is the creme of the crop so to speak of the boxing world. Most likely he will go as high as 126-130 lbs and after that he will have a hard time going up in weight classes.

Yes, he can fill Tokyo dome and other arena's in Japan, but still the big measurement for a boxer to become great or at least be recognized in the US. A good read:

https://www.boxingscene.com/naoya-inoue-us-exposure-validate-his-greatness--182798

People judge based on the current achievement of Inoue and that if he will continue to move up in weight, he will still dominate due to his quickness and the power of his punches. Though it's really hard to surpass the achievement of Pacman who is the only 8th division world champion, but let's see, Inoue for sure has a lot of time to make it happen, or at least try to achieve it.
Indeed this fighter is still young and yet we are seeing a lot of potenial from him. I'd say it is possible for him to conquer higher weight divisions if he won't be on a rush to do it. There's definitely more than stepping into higher weoght division; he has to dominate on it as well meaning,  experience would be a huge requirement before he continue to go up across division. I am not a fan of comparison between fighters because I see Inoue as a great fighter alone and same goes with Manny. Also they fought on different eras which is a factor to consider if people would insist comparison between these two great fighters.

But going back, Inoue as others have said would probably have a hard time against Nery, and that is already expected. Nery won't have such popularity for nothing and he deserved the spot as well. Will be surely exciting but my bias on this match will go to Inoue still.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 01:34:51 PM
Know your risk appetite. If you can let go the current profit and accept losing the amount you staked, then go for it. Been in such situation wherein out of my 5 bets, only one have failed which made me lost the whole wagered amount. Personally, it made me regret being greedy because to me, the profit was already decent and it was just me having desire to win more than to be contented at that time. Keep in mind how gambling works; no assurance of winning. If you'd be unlucky on the last match then be prepared to lose it all. Whether you pull out or push this bias, it all depends to you and no action will be invalid simply because everything relies on your decision as gambler. Just be mindful of the consequences.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving in this economy needs a new minds set on: May 01, 2024, 11:53:34 PM
Well yes, investment would be an option however not all people has the financial capacity to prioritize engaging to investments given that risks are present and that they won't afford the tendency of loss. Personally, best option I guess is to seek for part time or secondary jobs in order to cope up with the increase on the price of marketable goods and services. Not only that you would be able to afford paying those bills but could also create enough margin for savings or investment opportunities. What to do? You may learn new skills that could make other people pay you such as video editing and the likes, well ofcourse not all people are that in line with technology but for sure there are other services an individual could learn and make use of it for extra income. This is not representative to all people due to circumstances but that's something I guess no one has control of.. Another solution is for governments to increase the average salary rate but we all know what is actually happening on this aspect.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2v1 MMA fight? on: May 01, 2024, 05:01:30 PM
I would not watch or support such kind of activity, as this does not look like sport and be fair, to me. First of all it isnt fair have 2 vs 1 kind of fight. Secondly, if that guy, who fought alone is more skilled, then why dont he face someone who has similar skill level? Thirdly, should rules of this fight be fair for both sides? I mean that the guy who fights alone should have some kind of advantage.
I agree, it just pleases the audiences on this match but what if something bad happens to the mma fighter due to the imbalance on the number of fighters? Yes they're trained professionals but no one's certain of accidents and vicious hits that could end someone's career. This sport is meant to be played by two single parties and that simply means a one on one match unlike with other sports such as Basketball which are better being played by teams. I also agree with the idea of imbalance and possible inconsistencies of the match operations. This is the same with fighting someone on a higher level than you are.
A fight is a fight, anything could happen that can endanger a fighter's life. Quite against with the idea as well.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting for reality not club affection on: May 01, 2024, 04:32:45 PM
This has something to do with bettor's bias. There are times a bettor would go with his favorite team regardless of the odds simply because it would make him/her happy believing that much to what team or which player he truly believes to put the bet on. Sometimes I tend to do this as well, for fun. I enjoy the game more with these kinds of  bet and that includes accepting the tendency of losing. In sportsbetting, injuries come often. This is why some star players are not able to play on crucial match ups and there's nothing we could do of it but to accept and wait for the player to win and continue.
Most times we are caught in between placing our bets on our favourite teams to win and not there present form, this action according to analysis shows that it's one of the reasons some persons don't win a sport bet, no matter how hard they try, a team that's not in form or getting the results shouldn't be on your sports betting slip, because they might continue the poor run of form and hurt your ticket, a friend once adviced me never to put my favourite team on my ticket, unless they are in form, am a Manchester United fan but most times I bet against them as long as my ticket is concerned I don't have a favourite team.
The loyalty shown by the fans towards their favourite club is one of the thing that has been followed for very long which is also good as long as we are not losing any money for our love towards such sports. It's always important to think rationally and make bets based on statistics or just don't bet at all if the favourite team is not likely to win against the opposition, just show your support in the actual form not to some betting provider.
There's always a chance to lose unless you'd be pulling your Bets and just watch the game for 'til it ends. However there are people who enjoys handicap because it coud generate them big profit and that's the objective we all want.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest in Bitcoin because others are investing in Bitcoin on: May 01, 2024, 03:56:41 PM
I won't say that this isn't correct. Indeed, you should not engage into something just becuse others did the same thing. Much if better for you to study that particular thing, perhaps investment in this instance, and decide whether you would still continue or not. It is not bad to conform but always know what you are dealing with. If you'll just be one of those "I will become rich because of Bitcoin" kind of investors, then save yourself early. Why? If something happens, for example a huge decline in market prices, you'd panic and more likely do hasty decisions that could yield to huge and permanent loss. Unlike if you know what it really is, you'd be able to also know what to do and what not to. Bitcoin and investments in general has its own risk that you should manage in order to avoid unecessary outcomes. Profitable indeed but nothing will come fast and easy.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An aggressive gambler irrelevantly easing his Irresponsible gambling manner. on: April 30, 2024, 05:35:42 PM
You mean, losers in the match - the boxer himself, right? Because winner or loser, these boxers really can get their purse split. Sometimes, the loser has higher earnings than the winner, depending on their purse split arrangements. But if you talk about a bettor, definitely, he will lose the money.
But the boxer is still a loser and that is why I qualify him as loser. If you read what I posted, I also included that the loser is making money from the match.

He has forgotten or he did not know that in boxing, losers can also be paid. Not only winners make money in boxing.
Boxer will onjy lose on his record but not with money simply because they are professionals being paid on what they do regardless of the result. In every losing bet, then it qould only be the bettor to suffer the consequence of losing. It is not also right to think of a fighter in such way just to compensate your loss in a match. Accept things; you either lose or win and this will only be determined by your fate and luck. I guess this is not because of the amount he lost, but just his mindset of how he views every matches his money are involved with.

Can't say that he's being irresponsible 'coz if he really is, then he'd probably bet again to get the amount back. I am not saying that his statement is valid but we just have different manners and mindset in the first place right? And this one is not in someone's control.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you cashout or wait for the game to conclude? on: April 30, 2024, 04:48:15 PM
Whether you cash out in an instant or choose to finish the game, that's on you; eitherway would be fine as long as it favors you. What matters at the end of the day is earning rofit from every bet as much as possible. You may do either of these two but just keep in mind to avoid being regretful no matter what the outcome of your action is. Personally, it depends. If I'm up already and finishing the game will not create a damage on my bankroll then I'd probably just let things be. However, if I am chasing profit then settling for an amount would be my decision. Greed is something a gambler should not acquire. Be mindful of the logic behind gambling; you bet more, you lose more. Securing profit is the best thing to do here in general perspective; no one's certain of any gambling game outcome; you could be winning halftime but may still lose at the end of the game.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: April 29, 2024, 05:28:20 PM
Elderly I guess and probably because they have nothing much to do since they are mostly out of their jobs or retired from their profession. Many of them have their own monthly pension and some are from their children. On the other hand, there are young gamblers as well but unlike with elders, they have other things to do that will occupy their time such as school, or profession, or social relationships. The more you have time to gamble, the more frequent you'd be able to. But this doesn't represent any age, of course it will still depend on the individual him/herself whether to gamble or not despite of schedule and financial capacity. Gambling chooses no race, age, and gender. Exposure as well does not guarantee, although increases the risk, of addiction to a particular activity.
The age that is considered legal to gamble in our country is 18 years old, and the law strongly prohibits the youth from gambling, we have a saying in our country that our youth is the hope of one's nation, and it is considered a corruption of minor if an adult teaches a young one to gamble and the physical gambling platform that allows youth to enter their premises will get their license revoked and charged.
So here in our country, it's the elders who gamble the more because they are already mature and they have the means to sustain their betting
Gambling is just accessible to many countries even with small bets and place. I agree, they have the means to gamble including financial matter but not all elders are into this activity which is what I refer to, above.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you do if you find yourself in a similar situation like this? on: April 29, 2024, 05:03:39 PM

Assuming you find yourself in a similar situation as this, what will you do? How will you handle the situation to make your parents trust you again?

Assuming that things have already happened, best way is to accept my fault if I would be on his shoes. Crying and getting mad of what happened will not bring back the losses. At the end of the day, the only thing we could do is to move forward and to learn from our mistakes. The given situation is not that detailed. Does he have work or what? 'coz if he has then I guess it would be best for him to save from his salary to re-pay the amount he lost in gambling, little by little. Being ashamed and full of regret is a normal thing to be, in this situation. But as I said, you have to accept things if there's no way we could do about getting it back. What's more important is to avoid having desires of playing again to compensate what has already happened because it will just make the situation worse.

Take a rest from gambling and focus on what is there to start with. Your life won't meant to end just because you have done something wrong. If you're worried of what your parents think of you, embrace it and show them that you've learned. They will just hope for the best of you, and that also includes correcting your wrongdoings.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: Future occurrencies that can increase bitcoin price. on: April 29, 2024, 04:26:18 PM
Well most likely, big names from other industries adopting this technology, is what could increase the market price 'coz it can basically trigger a demand from non-crypto investors as well. However, same thing goes with the opposite. Binance as one of the biggest exchanger, is having issues at this moment regarding its accessibility in my country, which might be contributing to the current decline of not only Bitcoin but majority of crypto's market prices. Adoption of cryptocurrency is still struggling at this point which limits every uptrend.

As we can see here, there are many factors that could affect the market price of Bitcoin and that includes events inside and outside this industry, both increase and decrease to its value. But as we all know everything's temporary and volatility is a norma thing in this blockchain.
Basically what can increase the price of Bitcoin will be mass adoption, if countries where it's restricted will remove the restrictions and also countries where it's banned will unban it, and if it's been used more as a digital cash to make payments, instead of just hodling it.

Any evidence to back that up?
So far I can see more and more people use other Crypto to pass those on.
Reason being the fee, the time bitcoin takes.
The focus of the thread is on Bitcoin, and the future occurrences that can increase it's price, and these factors above that you quote are the few that I could come up with.

Ofcourse there are alternative means of sending Bitcoin to other wallet addresses, and there are other coins that can be used alternatively when Bitcoin transaction fees is high, but the point is that the thread is specifically talking about Bitcoin and it's price increase in the future.
Well, what he said is still right; Bitcoin will be affected by this whole industry's acceptance from the world. Fees on the other hand seems to be a problem for the new ones but for those who are long enough to be in this industry, it is something expected whenever the market value of Bitcoin is increasing. As I've said nothing's permanent and there's still a possibility for transaction fees to decrease eventually.
95  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the real bull run begin? on: April 29, 2024, 03:45:46 PM
Before this year ends, I guess. But I am not expecting for the uptrend to happen within a month after the halving. As we can see on the market, prices of crypto are still down and have low volume compared to previous months which is an indicator of a bearish tendency. Obviously, the best thing to do now is to patiently wait for further market confirmations. Things won't happen on a single snap which is an enough reason to avoid FOMO and FUDs. Just observe for now and fill your bags if there will be a better opportunity under your risk appetite.

How is everyone else feeling?

Has anyone ever suspected that bull season is coming? I mean there won't be a bull season like we expected and the game has changed. It changed because when people realized that the bull season will come after the halving, and people are holding tight to take profits. Think about it, if everyone is determined to hold and not sell and only sell when the price increases, who will be willing to spend money to buy at a higher price?
I am thinking about this scenario and I think we will no longer have a bull season or a bear season, instead bitcoin will grow slowly and sustainably, not increase sharply and decrease sharply like before. That also means there won't be an altcoin season like many people expect.
It was just a misconception and were just referred in such way because of the events which happened before after the halving. But if you would look closer to timeframes, there were a lot of accumulation stages on the previous halving before the increase became continuous. Altcoin season on the other hand happens after Bitcoin dominance, which happened numerous times in this industry.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why did the 1st Gen NFTs have to be so damn Ugly? on: April 29, 2024, 03:11:13 PM
Things are subjective when it comes to Art. It might be 'ugly' in your point of view but to others they are great. Proof? Check the price of those 1st Gen NFTs. They won't be paying that much for no reason. Maybe this assumption is simply because of the compaison with real life artworks but I think same thing goes with it. What increases the value of an artwork are who the artist is, concept, meaning, and more. Same thing is with NFTs; for example is with APE wherein many alike projects of the same concept followed.
To be honest, there are many things i will probably never understand about NFTs cos I couldnt understand the inspiration behind its ugliness. I think it was odd how the first generation NFTs, especially this ape club, were ugly as hell. Sure, the whole nft idea was bewildering really, but why was it all so ugly as well?

is there a hidden utility in ugliness or am i missing something?

NFTs are useless! So it really doesn't matter whether they look good or ugly. They are just the most useless thing ever happened in the world of cryptocurrency. I have noticed that the first generation NFTs were mostly pixel based images which got sold for million dollars to some unfortunate investors.

The entire NFT madness is pointless. So it is okay to not find any point at all!
But it is profitable to those people who invested on it, so I think it is not that useless. As long as it is being appreciated by some people in that industry, then that serves its purpose already. No one's forcing us to invest on it in the first place.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: April 29, 2024, 01:38:10 PM
Well, technology, robots, and AIs are meant to make our lives easier. These things have limitations and that is where humans wouldn't be replaced of, if that's what many people are worried about. Also, if it would be problematic to the economy then why would it be continuing right? Those things are created to at least help us and not replace us. Perhaps with few restaurants having robot crews, that is because employees are outnumbered by customers. Things are still on development and it is too early to conclude and panic about it. If it weren't for these advancements, we would still do things manually and without any tools.
To be honest I quite agree with you back then all manufacturers using human as the gear of the company to keep moving but if you got a modern factory in almost every country robots are being used as simple as rolling the dough.

not all countries will accept robots as workers in factories in their country, there will definitely be strict regulations regarding the use of robots in factories and employers are obliged to comply with that.

My concern actually same what happen with human later most the media news said that new job will emerge but in the world with AI robot and quantum computer I dont know if human would be needed

humans will definitely continue to be needed, in my opinion mass adoption of robots will occur in the next 50 to 60 years, for that we still have time to get better and try hard to get passive income from other sources.
That's indeed another thing to consider. These technological developments are not required and won't be easily implemented in the first place simply because they are too expensive for all businesses to afford. Same thing goes with some equipments being used at the present.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin the Dubmest Thing Ever Invented on: April 29, 2024, 12:58:11 PM
Crazy how Bitcoin is being hated but also being here in this forum. Like what you would achieve from doing so? I guess you're also an investor. I'd more believe that you're not if you posted this on other platforms like those people who doesn't understand a thing in this industry. What do you expect from this post? Conformity from people who are actually having an amount of Bitcoin on their bags or portfolio? If this is coming from loss due to an attempt of investing then this industry has nothing to do with it. Loss and profit will always be on the hands of the investor in particular with his/her decision making. This won't be of any use I guess. If Bitcoin is a dumb investment then I'd happily accept that one along with my profit, kidding aside.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: April 28, 2024, 07:53:49 PM
Regrets are there because you've learned. Learnings won't mean anything if you won't reflect and apply it. You saw how big the potential is for Bitcoin's market value; are you investing now? It is easy to tell other people to invest but if we don't have the courage to do so, simply because we saw the price on a decline at the moment, then what's the point? Take the risk if you want to achieve something or gain profit. If you know how to properly manage the risk then at least loss won't hurt that much. Taking the risk is different from being reckless, keep this in mind. It is Bitcoin we are talking about and we all know how capable this digital currency is, to be bigger in the future. Erase the idea of easy money scheme 'coz there's no such thing.
If you invest your 100% of what would have been your half of the capital, you'll get the exact sameprodit as if you both had invested and you shared the profit. You could have easily bought with the amount you had and held for as long as you would have planned to.

Secondly you never compel someone else to invest in anything. You're putting unnecessary risk on yourself as you'll take the blame if that investment goes south. Only give them information that can help them make up their mind on their own.

Thirdly, you still have the opportunity to take a risk now. Bitcoin still has a way to go in this bull run.
Waiting for a lower market value could still be considered. People are just being hasty of the market price simply because halving took place and yet no significant changes could be seen other than the temporary dump.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: April 28, 2024, 07:16:28 PM
For sure they are making decent to big amount however, if it is being most profitable then I guess it is not. There are exchangers, online banking, online shops such as dropshipping businesses and the likes. Bottomline is how popular an online casino or gambling site is. Take note of how many online gambling sites are there in the competition also the idea that there are more consumers than gamblers. Not all online gambling platforms are earning that much, again because of popularity. Same reason why online businesses which are more often used on a daily basis, are the ones which are most likely to earn more, however capital won't be equivalent with what's needed with online gambling sites which is also a factor to determine how profitable an online business is.
