81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to 2020, the year of cryptocurrency bull market. on: January 01, 2020, 06:10:14 PM
It's 2020 and what a time to be alive, bitcoin halving is around the corner and from history it has always favoured  the price of bitcoin and as altcoins mostly depend on Bitcoin rally to moon, we're in good hands. Try to avoid falling prey to scammers using fake giveaway to steal your coins. Increase your security and store your coins in private wallets not exchange. The market will begin recovery soon, don't be too smart wanting to cashout on every profit you see, it might make you lose future profits. Be patience, believe in the process. Cryptocurrency is the future.

Happy New year to every Bitcoiner and Altcoiners out there, 2020 is a year with numerous opportunities, don't let those opportunities pass you by but still apply caution in every decision you make in 2020. I wish you all a profitable year.

Hopefully, 2020 will really be the time when the prices of cryptocurrencies can recover well and profit many of investors. I do believe that the crypto industry will prosper this year. There are also big hopes for new updates regarding the support of many key players of society like government and big companies like Google. Blockchain technology will also hopefully be seen used more often by other industries.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoiners now is your chance on: December 31, 2019, 11:32:05 AM
Start buying altcoins before its too late, the red market you are all complaining about is a big opportunity for those who knows that altcoin time will arrive, all you need to do is ....

1. Buy altcoins that have real use cases or backed with real wprking product, they tend to always have value better than copied projects.

2. Take it or leave it, new good projects will bring better ROI than many old altcoins, feels like we've seem how far old altcoins can go already, now its new altcoins time.

Indeed, investors need to consider the usefulness and the uniqueness of the altcoin because these two characteristics can greatly help the project survive for very long time. Relevance makes any crypto stay in the market because they have constant customers or users that allows the investors to gain a long term profit. There are also other factors that can come to play so it's better to have realistic expectations only.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is It true youTube has started restoring of crypto related videos? on: December 30, 2019, 06:24:17 PM
Recently seen,
YouTube has started deleting videos of many users who speak on crypto either testimonial or introduction videos.
Many complaints about YouTube is deleting videos without giving any notice. giving shadow ban on videos.
For every action, google send notice, but this time without notice , google taking action on crypto based YouTube videos.

The subject of cryptocurrencies became a great tend on YouTube. And it's unfortunate to see how small mistake of scam accusation can affect almost all of the channels on the site that is about cryptocurrencies. Hopefully, things can work out soon and the site could really filter out which channel is legit and which is a scam. YouTube is a very influential platform so we all hope that it can succeed in implementing its rules to keep things run smoothly not only in the site but also in the crypto industry.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank coins vs crypto space coins on: December 30, 2019, 05:43:51 PM
I've been following the trend news of central banks creating their own digital currencies but a question have since then troubling my mind.

1. These new Central Bank coins are they going to be stable coins or not?
2. What will happen if they are not stable coins? If holding them will be profitable many will leave crypto space and focus on these new coins?
3. Maybe people will just use them as a plus since it's from the government?
4. Will regulations still come after this? I think other coins will be neglected and regulations will only be for coins from government?

Cryptocurrencies made by central banks are more likely to be easily be manipulated to favor their business over market. They might as well make amends with the government for favorable regulations. They will also more likely to be stable coins. The blockchain technology can revolutionize the market but it can also be used to make only some capitalist businesses take more control over the market. Hopefully, things can work out and they can be fair with their clients.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to patience even when it feels like wearing off on: December 30, 2019, 05:10:06 PM
Altcoins seem to be the ones taking the hits of negative results and they are not encouraging, i know its not a good time for every altcoin holders, the question you all need to be asking yourselves is how long will altcoin market keep declining? will it take forever cos nothing last forever, patience is all you need, if its not enough to calm you then look for other ways to sustain yourself for a while, do not run because of present condition cos it doesn't justified tomorrow. For whatever is going to turn out good will first go sideways.

The altcoin industry has experienced a lot of downs right now but the prices will soon recover. There's always risk in investing and the prices could change anytime. Try your best not to be easily swayed by emotions brought by the dull crypto market right now. Patience is indeed the key to succeed here because if you quit early, you already surrender every effort and time you have given into it.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on the blockchain - What do you think? on: December 29, 2019, 10:42:50 PM
I found this interesting article about the current gaming industry on the blockchain, what do you think about the gaming industry currently on the blockchain and do you think it will evolve and have a future? Or is blockchain not really for gaming? If you want to read the article, you can read it on the link below.

https://www.publish0x.com/interesting-crypto-projects/games-blockchain-2019-xdqjjz?a=GELe3POa69

On top of that, the blogging platform is a great way to earn crypto for free. You can earn crypto for voting on articles and also for creating content. You can earn DAI and BAT currently but it is a better way than to just do bounties where you have no idea when the token will become live on an exchange. You can sign up through the article. Hope to see you there!

The gaming industry is continuously expanding and blockchain technology really fits the core of it. The increasing demand of clients in gaming has lead to the advantage of blockchain over other kind of servers. Blockchain will also be a big part of the advancement of the future. Other industries like online shopping could also benefit well with blockchain.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: December 29, 2019, 06:07:45 PM
I have now some money but still earning to invest more in an IEO. I have heard celer IEO and investor get x6 of its investment. I was move away by this profit in an instant, i want also so i keep money, my question is after all good feedback of IEO, will IEO be like Ico which failed in the market or will IEO be last longer?

The most legit IEO does not usually promises to much profit unless they are really that successful. But I do not think that IEO will fall the same way ICO did. IEOs give more sense of security and could be traded easier. IEO also could open up more opportunities and could lead to the industry enter new era of cryptocurrency.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is dead these days, what next in the market? STO? IEO? on: December 29, 2019, 05:41:13 AM
In the last 2 years ICO has gone upto peak level with many projects.
Now ICO market is completely gone because of 90% projects fallen into scam category.
Many startups made huge money and in return they pay nothing.
So whats new these days as a trusted token offering model?

IEO is just ICO with exchanger. And whether it's STO or IEO, it is still not guarantee that the project will succeed if the investors did not support it well or if the dev team sis not manage it well or if the public community can't find it useful or relevant to them. There are a lot of factors playing not just the nature of the project. Very few survive the market because some only consider one facet of the project. ICO is indeed fading compared to IEO with more sense of security.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to the Crypto market? on: December 29, 2019, 05:02:03 AM
If we look at last year's track record, altcoin has seen a decline in prices in November. Maybe this is the start of Bitcoin and Altcoin to go to the moon.

The last quarter of the year is often the time when people are being so expensive because of the holiday season. Many did sold their crypto for fiat because there are more market for fiat than crypto right now. It is pretty much normal for the prices do go down and it actually opens opportunity for investors to buy them at low costs. This dull market of cryptocurrencies will soon recover as the new year comes.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think altcoins will be used for in the future. on: December 29, 2019, 03:52:28 AM
The only place I think altcoins has a future in is gambling, normal gambling but first and foremost e-betting.I can not see how it will take over  from normal currency's in the world of buying or selling any other goods then btc. The main reason I think this is that nobody wants to be that guy that bought two pizzas for 10000 btc 5 years from now, so i cant really see what else it has a real future in. But that is only my opinion, What do you guys think?

Gambling is a big industry and the use of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to fuel it have made the industry to expand more in the cyber community. Other future industries that can make use of altcoins are online shopping and games. E-commerce websites are continuously expanding and the gaming industry most likely won't fall because there are always clients.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Recap for the year 2019 on: December 28, 2019, 11:26:10 PM
I'm not asking recap on what's happens in the Cryptocurrency industry, but on how 2019 made an impact in your lifestyle, motivation and financial status, is it positive or negative, are you full of hope or losing it, what is your assessment this coming 2020.

2019 is not the best year for me, if you compared it to 2017 of course. But at least it was a better than 2018. There have been a lot of dull weeks but it was manageable and I still did profit at least. There still hope inside me and looks up to what else could happen in the coming year. As the new decade enters, I do hope that the industry will also enter a new era of blockchain technology and successful market.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: could it be most project don't succeed? on: December 28, 2019, 10:47:50 PM
hello everyone

I have came to think of something reasonable about some projects, today everyone just wakeup to create his project and introduced it to btt just for people to suffer and promote probably at last the project will not succeed and they will foldup why? everywhere and there having much projects trooping in the forum today but few succeeds.
today, tomorrow, next tomorrow came up with all such of tokens, or could it be they want to build their social media groups and pages then they will come create fuck token and disbursed to the people whose manage to follow them on their media page and at last such token has no value in the market. they will even stole some other project websites just to boost their pages. this is improper... We hear scam and thief everywhere due to not have a proper documentations about the ventures.
I think earlier 2010 to 2015 there were no scam project even if there's, is just 1% but now is +-50%

to me this are the interest of those fake project.
1. they want to boost their  facebook page
2. they want to boost their twitter page
3. LinkedIn page
4. YouTube, ETC

my Questions

Is there no other ways BTT can track and trace such people posting such project in the forum?
Is there no way we can run free and fair project in the system without us being scammed or tricked?

Let me rest my case here and I would like the elders of this forum to look into this
Please feel free to drop your comment

The community of bitcointalk itself is very observant in determining the legitimacy of the project. Every small detail that seems to be bogus is posted as early as possible. The ANN thread is full of them. But even the legitimacy of the project does not guarantee the success. The project can still fail due to other factors just like market conditions and dev team management.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Under supervision, do you think that anonymous coins have a future? on: December 28, 2019, 10:00:11 AM
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! According to the current situation, cryptocurrencies are about to be brought under government supervision. Do you think that anonymous coins have a future in this case? How should we choose, thank you for your proposal

A decentralized cryptocurrency and government regulation do not always mix well. Though almost impossible, there is still a chance that both can coexist without harming the other. It will be a difficult and long debate in how resolve this issue. But once we find the best answer, the industry of crypto will then enter a new era of successful market.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My New Year Resolution For Bitcointalk on: December 28, 2019, 09:06:54 AM
Investors must protect themselves with knowledge about crypto.
Much has been done by moderators to make this forum better but scammer are still scammer who can find ways to continue scamming.

For point number two, BM should also request from the project the reserve funds deposited by a trusted escrow to secure so that participants continue to get paid. regarding how to reduce spammers BM must work harder to minimize spammers.

Indeed, ignorance is really the main problem ever since before. To lessen this, knowledge is a great help against scammers and other fraudulent activities. Determining at first sight the legitimacy of the project or any sort of deal in the crypto industry is an advantage. Investors need must be not lazy to learn new things.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: December 28, 2019, 07:24:12 AM
ICOs have morphed into IEO and the change is for good. The number of ICOs/IEOs too have dramatically decreased as investors have become more concerned about their investments. There are some shady exchanges that are listing IEOs with zero research and analysis just for a small fee but most of the people are now aware of such practice. Only the IEOs issued from a promising exchange are getting attraction while other are not fully funded. This is making the project team more dedicated to make their project look promising and actually working to prove their authenticity. It doesn't mean it would filter every scam but it would filter the most of them.

Investors main concern right now is how they can secure profits. The usefulness of the project is just a bonus because if the project did not meet the expectations of the investors, it won't survive the market in the end. ICO is constantly dying while IEO can offer for sense of security for the side of the investors. These shift had lead to smarter investors and critical decisions. Hopefully, everything cans still work out and the prices will recover soon in the coming new decade.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different type of altcoins have their season which attract scammers be watchful on: December 27, 2019, 11:47:06 PM
The altcoin market is a very interesting market when it's operating at its best. When it comes to investing in them just to increase your chances of accumulating more bitcoin or short term investment, you have to understand there's a season for every type of coin. During the 2017 altcoins bull market I observe some interesting trends concerning how the market (altcoins) react which might be of use or serve as a guideline for future market and help prevent you from falling victims to fraudsters and scam projects.

We can't denied the fact the market is still been influence by emotions which you could profit from, that's if you understand how it works. Each type of altcoins had it's season, there was a time only lending tokens were mostly benefiting from the market via price appreciation. Sane with staking/masternode projects as they also had their share of the market. If you were paying close attention to the market you would had observe more and more type of projects based on trending Ideas starter popping up during their season meaning, scammers starts disguising themselves as startups to launch new worthless project just to scam innocent Investors of their funds.

Same observation happened when projects paying dividends started trending, same with projects crowdfunding through Selfdrop instead of ICO, privacy coins also had similar fate etc. Although the current situation of the market isn't encouraging, you still have to be very watchful as this trend could repeat itself at any given time. Understand that scammers are always active looking for new way to scam investors of their funds. When there's a new trend, always be watchful as the chances of getting scammed through that method becomes high. Invest wisely.

The market right now is indeed not encouraging for many investors. But with the low prices of cryptocurrencies right now, it might be the best days to buy and start investing. And in the midst of changing trends as the year changes, the one who can adapt the best will surely survive. We cannot always outdown the market but we could reduce the loses by carefully selecting which we should only invest to. I am not fan of multiple investments anymore for I experienced mistakes of my own. Other strategies can also work too as long as you understand and accept the risks it bare.
Furthermore, scammers are smart right now, and will appear to be legit as much as possible. So, never jump again to something you do not fully see or understand. Measure the fall and calculate the risk so you can hope for the best.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google banned ETH wallet and metamask android client on Playstore on: December 27, 2019, 11:11:08 PM
Google is showing signs of authoritarian decisions of late. Youtube was involved in removing crypto-related videos and now Google Playstore is doing its part in blocking another crypto-related app. This is going to be bad for crypto but worse for them. They seem to show that they do not like cryptocurrency at all. Google is replaceable; they need to realize that. They will certainly be replaced soon.

These issues might continue to expand and will cause some implications on some people of this industry. But as long as we can still use metamask in Chrome and other browsers, it could still thrive. Though the removal of the app seems to be a cocky move for me. If somehow even the plugins will be affected of these issues, other browsers might follow or remain the same, causing another rivalry in the browser preferences.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube vs Crypto on: December 27, 2019, 06:01:19 PM
YouTube finally recognised that the recent Crypto Purge was a "mistake" but the damage is done, what do you have to say about this? I think the damage will get fixed in time because really YouTube has been a very useful platform for crypto
im not sure about that until crypto will be free from the scammer.

Im believe if youtube is taking an action to ban all of contents related to the crypto caused by this news https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2019/12/309-ltc-fake-litecoin-foundation-scams-users-with-supposed-giveaway/

google is also banning crypto right now from its service.

The link is a good read and I am amused by knowing that even the picture of Elon Musk was being used to scam people. Really, this will put the industry into another roll of issues and social concerns. If even the Twitter accounts of verified users are not safe, where would this put us? People need to wake up from the dream that someone will just give them free crypto. It's almost 2020, and we're not prepared for the new set of issues. Hopefully, everything can still work out.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins on: December 27, 2019, 04:55:17 PM
I will start hating altcoins only when bitcoin raise up to 20,000$ and altcoins fail to move up as well, many people are putting blames on altcoins today as if bitcoin is not in loss itself, the ATH of btc was 20k and now it's trading for 7,000+ thats like 12,000$ lost please how will this not affect other altcoins as well? Top altcoins will surely lose value as well, to me this present loss of altcoins are positive, look at coins like LTC, EOS, BNB, these coins are doing fine. You will only have problem if you invest in crap altcoins

These dropping of prices of cryptocurrencies are pretty much normal. They're supposed to drop once in a while especially in this season where people becoming expensive so, they sold some crypto for fiat. We need to face the reality that fiat is still used more often when buying gifts because that's still the norm for most communities. But it is also the best time to buy crypto that can recover the price in 2020. Determining which of them is the real issue.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO/IEO projects are lying to airdrop and bounty participants for a long time! on: December 27, 2019, 04:08:28 PM
One thing that I really do not like about ICOs, IEOs, etc., is that they are misleading us for a very long time when it comes to the token price.

For example, there's one airdrop event in which you will receive an amount of tokens worth $10, $20, etc., and bounty rewards which you can get $50 worth of tokens for participating in a signature campaign.

But here's a harsh truth where ICOs and IEOs are lying to us for most of the time.

How can we say if the airdrop or bounty reward is exactly $50 where it can even get dumped in exchanges?

There is no guarantee that the airdrop and bounty tokens we receive are "fixed amounts" (unless if it's a stablecoin or popular one like BTC, ETH, XRP, etc.)

So here is my advice to all ICOs and IEOs when you are doing airdrop and bounty program to participants.

Don't say "$50 worth of tokens". But rather say "$50 worth of tokens in ICO/IEO price", so that people like me may be aware that the reward we get is not what we expect. There is 99.99% chance that the reward we get are going down to shit, and only 0.01% chance that it would actually go to the moon!

So to all ICOs and IEOs please, just stop lying to us about this!

I know most of you here can relate to this situation after so many months/years of participating in airdrops and bounty opportunities.

Does any of the airdroppers and bounty hunters agree or not with my statement? Feel free to comment here!

Any project with unrealistic promises will lead to expectations of many investors that is seldom met after the launching of the project. It will be difficult to determine which project would really meet their initial claims nor which will survive in the long run. The values of the cryptos can also go up or down and even though the project did meet the goals, the market could treat it differently.
