That is a valid question. Unfortunately the payment to cash conversion model I use on that site means I need to be able to clear out the accumulated credit each month, there needs to be buy orders on an exchange for the model to calculate the rate. As no exchange has taken the coin it cant be used in the model grrrr..... The pay flow model also affects coingas so adding the coin outside the system (no exchange) would be un-workable manually. When it is taken on by an exchange it will used in sex toys, coingas and for xxx movie gifts and subs and advertising on the porn site. Just deciding on how best to strengthen our position. My personal opinion is that coins-e would be our best target, objectively speaking they are a weaker exchange. SXC will have around 5 services starting at exchange launch, 5 more than most listed coins... its a catch 22, you'll only get retailers once its listed on an exchange. But keep holding the list, i'm not yet at my million coin target, but getting there  750k to go |

What miner are you guys using to mine the copperbars? I tried various scrypt-jane miners and got really poor results (in the order of 4kH/s). Using the qt-miner I'm getting mixed results, where it says anything between 20-90kH/s (and I finally found a block!). More info on this coin would be helpful.

I get the idea that regardless if they are sold supply > demand so price should drop...I just don't think those coins are in the "supply" side the way people think they are.
bitcoins are a store of value. Bad times bring money in (look at the run caused by cyprus). But regardless, new money has to come in and is that money that determines the fiat value of a bitcoin. |

What server are you talking about? Are you talking about Spot client or are you talking about some pool?
Difficulty adjusts only based on the time it took to mine last 2 blocks and not based on anything else.
the network server. If SPOT uses only 2 blocks to calculate the difficulty that would explain these jumps. |

Edit2: network difficulty is calculated based on the frequency of the submitted blocks at the given difficulty, so it is very random for Spots within several blocks time frame.
regardless, the math on this server is incorrect and that's why it took over 1 hour to mine one block. hint hint, the difficulty does not match the hash rate. hint hint 2, the formula that calculates the difficulty is broken |

Yes, everything is synced and accurate even after the 1 gHash spike. Difficulty already back down in the 16's  i think the actual hash is around 110-120, based on the pools local rates. Not going to have my cards spinning on wrong hash. Each bock is supposed to average 100 seconds. This block now is going to be 1/2 hour |

yes I know, but because the last block on the pool was about an hour ago, it means the difficulty will drop from 32 to 1 when a block is found. Except for the pools hash nobody really knows what the actual hash rate is

what about these spikes that go from 70k (while the pool claims 76 lmao) to 900K? Can you fix the hps math before anything else?

I had the same issue, there is a post some place about the nodes, I was using one but two was recommended,

Delete your peers.dat to, it really helped with my stability, hopefully you will get a good result. I don't know if this is good advice!

problem with the client. after x numbers of hours goes into "out of sync" mode claiming its downloading over 300k blocks. If I stop it, it crashes.

Its good though most agree there should be more to sxcoin then just a pump and dump on the exchanges  sxc is a coin with a very large potential. I mined it when it first came out and I came back now with you guys. |

Mining on 5 PCs with both minerd and cgminer, with a load of ASICs running25GH/s on bitcoin.

well, i did very close to 100k since friday night.For awhile I was doing well over 50% of the hash rate. If the exchanges continue to hold us down I'll go for a million till the end of the month |

Yep everything pisses me off when im tired, things always look better in the morning. Ah well, screw the exchanges, I will make a system to peer-to-peer sell for the porn site in the next couple weeks.
Also will set it up so peeps can sell their own porn direct, you are right that refusing the coin will be bad decision. tut tut tut...Maybe a return to the google docs exchanges that died a death of late.

something very strange here. Over 90% of the blocks I found are orphan, blocks are vanishing from the wallet after being counted as immature. Now the client doesn't even start

forecasting is not an exact science, far from it, but the way you did it is incorrect. A better way is to increase the difficulty based lets say on the average of the last 5 periods + 10% or -10% depending on the direction. Your exponential increase eventually runs into requiring more and more grains of sand to the point that there's none available. The difficulty will run into a wall where GPU and ASIC farms will start closing. Many smart (cough cough) people is mining to be rich. Wrong move, they will at best break even and will be served divorce papers instead :-) Also count on BTC going down to previous levels. The current BTC price requires new money coming into the system at a pace of 100 million dollars ++++ year. That will not happen
