Hello,
can we get some more specifics?
How many people are behind this coin?
What are their names and positions?
and so on

803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 21, 2014, 12:37:40 AM
are they late?

like women's issues 'late' or just your normal average bitcoin mining rig 'late'?
it's difficult to ascertain which is which, these days.

Late and overpriced with terrible customer service. Between them, Hashfast and Blackarrow they make KNC look like baby Jesus.
I'll bank on that.  Thank you. I thought I'd missed something.

What you missed was everyone else in the arena, oh except for that scam that you may or may not have been directly involved in.  You found that one pretty quick, didn't you?
Yeah, from someone who posted it right in here; literally.   You some kinda bitmine shill or what?

No, you some kind of KnC shill or what?  You'd have to be an idiot to order from Bitmine at this point.
Yes, I AM a KNC shill...  just ask anyone here...  you know that!...  just ask any troll in here, hehe.

aaaah, okay, It looked like you were liking the bitmine offer, and I couldn't see why    my bad. Thanks for the clarification  Grin

*The even mention of Avalon on their site made me cringe*

This chart, however, did indeed put a bit of a smile on my face.

Lookin' pretty optimistic from this view
and I have yet to see a mining calculator that accounts for it.... anyone?
anyways, looks like the taper is indeed happening, even with the massive amounts just dumped... (I think I remember KNC predicting this as well)
combine that with a timely surprise from KNC, and those Neptune refunds would be sorely missed... ug.
we should start a guessing game... first delivery date and first delivered hash pecs on Neptune...
I'm  guessing 4.5, and April 15th.  I know, lofty... but I'm a "Shill", remember?  Wink

Anyone remember this?

Yeah, that's right, we bought them thinking 250gh/s.
Out the gate at 500, and now what are Jupiters pushing? some over 700?
and how did the herald "Cointerra" do again?, Hashfast? and many others....
That's why I don't mind being called a KNC "Shill", at all.
I look for similar results this go-around.
Granted....  Communication in keeping us up to date on what's happening leaves me feeling like an abandoned child, but the products performance more than made up for it in the end, which has yet to come, because Jupiters are still pumpin' hard out there, and will be for quite some time.
I'm betting Neptune will have similar results. Plain as that.

I tend to agree. I did buy a Jupiter and was happy with the purchase. Granted it was two weeks late. But compared to the rest, it was light and day. Yes facing serious competition. I'm counting on them to overdeliver or be compensated. If not I'll ask for a refund or sell it.. For those people who are happy with their purchase. Ask for a refund..

We are translating content and adding new didactic content for newcomers and people who don't even know Bitcoin, all of it in Spanish, to spaincoin.org. It will be available soon. I don't run spaincoin.es myself but it seems to be up for me.

Yes, spaincoin.es is up and running for me, too.

not just down for me
805  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: www.lketc.com 1TH Dragon miner direct order. 3000$ on: March 20, 2014, 10:12:23 PM
I take it this is the miner that is being sold on minersource.net for $5,399?

https://minersource.net/products/1-th-slash-s-28nm-miner

Phil

Correct.

I'm all for making 25%+, but 60% seems like a hell of a markup.

 That would be really cool..

okay question guys. I have heard many people complain about their refund process. Some people saying I wish they would just refund my BTC.

Well if they gave you back your 10 BTC, that would be worth about $6400.

Rather than if they gave you back the refund in Fiat, it would be 10K.

What am I missing?? 10K buys more than 10 BTC at current market price.
Regards

They want the current dollar value, in BTC.

I asked this question earlier here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg5600354#msg5600354

Well to those who are wondering at the refund process I got my refund for 13.2k for 2nd batch Neptune order from knc.

I just looked today not sure how long it took but I send and got a reply to my email with the bank reply was accepted by knc same day of 2/25/14
so today is 3/8/2014....again not sure when it came in yet just have the balance from the atm..but less then what is 11 days...not bad.

So anyway I am also still holding on for a knc miracle on the batch 0 customer appreciation order at $10,131.20 w/ship to USA...

hoping for one or more of the below:

1) 4 to 4.5TH as a compensation..(yeah I'm dreaming)

2) virtual hash 3TH staring March 15th or so till physical miner (see above) (1) arrives say april 15th (yep still dreaming big here is what I am!)

3) can full refund up to the day I can decide between a full refund for miner or virtual miner or whatever

4) and hope like hell that everyone else has dropped Neptune orders...and an avalanche (volcano whatever) destabilizing the KNC GH farm (er after I get my physical (see 1 above) miner!

yep that about covers it for my "in my dreams" scenario

any thing less then at least something kinda sorta real from the above and coward that I am I will punt and run away.....(we also serve who scamper and quiver in the btc universe)

but my FALSE courage stems from the fact I THINK  I have time to refund yet ..if I'm wrong and I can virual mine in March or get physical miner soonest so be it

so fence sitting yet

Searing

okay, they issued you your full return in Fiat minus fees. Is that correct? Versus today's exchange rate and Fiat price.
Regards

yep list price in USD (which is what I paid) less fees ...for the wire xfer..so I'm out 35 bucks total ..but that is normal

now just sitting on fence kicking feet pondering do I fall forward and keep first run knc miner customer appreciation Neptune or fall off the fence backward and run away...sigh

Searing

many thanks for the reply. Yes not bad..

I got my BTC refund today for 3 Neptunes (43.569). exchange rate used was at $700 by the time I got it, rate was down to $660.  Took 8 days to complete the transaction and BTC went on some wild swings,  had no idea where it would be and they gave me no information on the exchange rate other than they will use BitStamp price at the time of transaction.  Considering that I spent under that amount to purchase 4 Neptunes, made out pretty well.    When it arrives every mBit it makes will be profit...  good to hear they taped out...  Wasn't really looking forward to re-wiring my house to install 4.

good times.

Well played.

so they are using the current exchange rate of BTC. Then converting to Fiat? Many people have said they will get the Fiat return of 10K.

815  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: KnC Neptune Shipping Speculation (Existing Customers Order) on: March 05, 2014, 09:21:38 PM
Copy/Paste:

In stock Neptunes jumped up again from 898 to 909. More refunds? Maybe.

I've got a few preorders with alpha-t.net, a Scrypt ASIC. I'm pretty impressed with their development updates (nearly weekly), along with a forum specifically for customers with all the questions answered, as well as their transparency with their process. It's too bad more manufacturers don't do similar methods.

I'm still keeping my CA batch orders. Better than BFL, CT, HF that's for sure. How they compare to Bitmain will really be a long term question, although I think KnC hardware will run much longer and be more profitable. We'll have to analyze that one down the line.

I have a thread on when the general memberbase thinks the Neptunes are shipping, and the majority feel it's April, which would line up the latest batch during Q2.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=384125.0

@Offtopic individuals, you guys should really keep on topic. Let's focus on KNC (I don't care if we talk about KNC conspiracy theories, facts, or whatever), there are venues available for other discussions.

april?! that wishful thinkin imo. i dont think they taped-out yet and from tape-out to production you can assume roughly 60 days. so lets say they tape-out in the coming weeks and need 60 days till the chips arrive. that means the chips arrive in mid may. then also assume that chips doenst mean everything is ready to deliver, you got to bring that thing to work somehow.
that leaves us to a delivered neptune in june, imo.

Who is CA?

I'm assuming he means Canada. Must mean customer appreciation
816  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RTBTC - Bitcoin Exchange Trading Interface on: March 04, 2014, 04:07:19 PM
that's kind of sad.. But I'm sure they gave you an offer you couldn't refuse. See monthly plan increases to $20. Other than that, there doesn't appear to be much difference. Well, Clark best of luck to you with your future.

817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 01, 2014, 01:41:47 AM
Been away for a while.  I am confused.  Why do ppl want a btc refund?  Take cash and buy more btc than you had before.  Hasn't spot been mostly $800-1000 during most of the Neptune pre-order period?

BTC refunds are being done as the cost in USD converted to BTC at the current rate.
If you want to end up with BTC anyway, it is quicker and cheaper than receiving a USD refund then buying BTC yourself.

so if I paid 10 coins for my miner. I would get current spot price X 10 coins? I was under the assumption the Fiat amount paid when purchased, would be returned..

Brian
818  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SCRYPT ASIC miner ready. BTC+LTC ASIC , combo.Open sale now. on: February 15, 2014, 07:39:06 AM
I wonder what people think of the following I dragged from a vertocoin thread

"[–]D4wn0ff473 7 points 4 days ago*
First of all these asics are jokes. The hash power for both btc and ltc is not worth the price. The only thing that makes them worth the price is the 7w of power usage for 300Kh/s on solo scrypt ventures, but the 8gh/s for btc mining at 100w is not going to make a dent in the current pedohash network power. Even going after other 256 coins on the btc side would not be worth it because most of those networks are already drowning in asics and fpgas. Even if you had a a couple hundred of them you would still not be making a decent enough dent to have roi ever especially with the current price.
But alpha technologies has 5mh/s and 25mh/s scrypt asics that will be shipping in a few months. Not to mention that sluicebit has 2 and 4 mh/s scrypt fpga's that will be shipping soon. The game will soon be over for scrypt coins with no differential built in like vert does. But I really feel bad for the people who wasted and will waste their money on these asics. The company obviously saw the train coming of the larger asics and fpgas so they sped up dev to get these out as fast as possible. They will be outdated and worhtless in a few months and the owners will never have a chance to make the majority of their money back
."
Discuss.
is alpha t even real? site looks scammy to me
I personally think that units are interesting, regardless other projects. Gridseed in one of the few LTC miner producers that is currently shipping! Most of the other projects no evidence yet! only time will tell. For a more comprehensive list check this thread: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=6506.0

alpha technologies? In the ghetto... Prepare to be disappointed.

looks like BTC-E and GoX are both in trouble.. So maybe a different exchange
820  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RTBTC - Bitcoin Exchange Trading Interface on: February 06, 2014, 04:18:38 AM
I don't think many people use gox. Please bring BTC-E online when you have a chance..
