Thanks the question!

Hub is here. Yesterday I've restarted it and working since then.

Now i won't touch until it stops, so I can post what dmesg shows, and I'll make the hub then.

You had a good carma, the miner is afraid.. Smiley
It will not stop Wink
Ops i have not said it Lips sealed
That is how tplink works when done things are done right Wink Non stop since last cgminer upgrade

802  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT's HEX16A in hand - first impressions / mining software on: April 15, 2014, 08:25:47 AM
alright thanks for the info, was just looking at other options i might need.

I am trying to run my hex16a2 on my windows 8 Desktop PC with the newest hexminer software and miner_proxy with usb drivers. Every time i press start on the mining the console will show it is connection then it fails and says the driver need to be up dated even though i have the most recent updates.

Is there a cgminer compiled to run on windows and support the hex boards? this would be very handy
Buy a tplink dude and forget
I can not give much help with windows
but there is one look at 2good topic.
It is a mess with cgminer and windows zdiag drivers and so on...
tplink will pay the electricity for a month and it is plug and play Cheesy

 Wink

I don't like temp solutions.

I'll just go, get a hub and do what you said. I don't want to more clever than everbody.....
Super,
but meanwhile if same happens again just ssh to router and post here the output of dmesg.
Will you?
10X

Don't laugh on me but what is dmesg?
I would't. There is nothing to be ashamed of..dude.
dmesg shows some kernel messages related to all of the above
You know how to ssh to tplink right?
when you ssh to the the tplink just type dmesg
and post that here

Ok I'll do it when it stops. But I'll go and get a usb hub.

Thanks!
Is all good dude?
Have you plugged the hub in between?

Hi,

PLEASE I NEED HELP. I can't set up my new bitfury v2 on windows 7, HEXMINER says new proxy available please update. And clean_jobs FALSE What am I supposed to do ?

New proxy is available on slush pool webpage to download http://mining.bitcoin.cz/media/download/mining_proxy.exe

But recently our friend 2GOOD compile cgminer for windows with technobit support, you may want to try it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=569689.0

If you want to try TPLINK TL-MR3020, read this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=476326.0
That seems so helpful, thank you I'll take a look.
Dude,
invest your time and efforts in tplink
it will pay of for a month just from electricity costs
and it works beter
and so on...
806  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT's HEX16A in hand - first impressions / mining software on: April 15, 2014, 06:14:57 AM
how many of the hex16a devices can be hooked up to just one TL-MR3020 router with preloaded CGminer /dd-wrt for HEX16 board ?
I have reached 7 10 should be ok also
but make sure you are using common PSU ground otherwise shit will happen

opieum2, Stan-O
Congrats guy's
Welcome to the light sight.
No seriously guy's
My irony probably and phinn also is just here to show you what is going on with zipkin. I am not happy and phin also when you are fucked. I am serious here
So if chose to wait for your products as I call them crap there is a light in the tunnel - seems mellbro made it work. So there is some chance that you will get something which is ok and working. But it will be a lot less in performance because it is undervolted and there are about 3-5% dead cores - not amt fault chips are as they are. I am not commenting power this chip needs power and coolong. But i just can not understand why AMT keep silent about the facts which no matter how bright engineers they have Grin they will not be able to change anything.

In short to you and to the rest of amt customers
Ask for refund if you can - best option

808  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: AMT fucks us over again on: April 14, 2014, 07:15:12 PM
Oh good, lets push AMT to a self moderated thread so they can lie to customers at will now, without being called out on it.
I was in a hurry to open this one because they moderate both official an unofficial one.
I thought they gona moderate this one also Grin
809  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: April 14, 2014, 07:11:05 PM
hey guys just done a little video of my 520gh miner, the video is not full screen like normal for some reason as i took it on my phone.
im posting this as nobody else has posted a video of a working miner as of yet that im aware.
full 24hr graph will be posted once ready for your scrutiny.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7rUW2H-wqk
Congrats mell
It seems ok for me
Thank you very much for the vide and the efforts
to Amt
Congrats you made it first thing that works
1. 3 blades are doing 520 GH so 5 blades what your 1.2t miner wii be equals to 866 my  Grin
That is what I call complete scam. folks payed for 1.2 t but they will get eventually 866 in return?
2. Even six blades could not reach 1.2 t Grin
Why,
Because it is under clocked / bolted a loot. why because your cooling boys just sucks.that is why. And probably because you are still fighting for my 10 btc Grin
So take my sincere apologies there is one AMT miner which works
Yes it is
Send melbro another one for thanking him that he saved your ass for the moment. But it is a temporary solution only Grin
Will yo be so kind to measure the themp from the other side big heatsink . That is where 70% of the heat should be disposed.
10x

if i run cgminer from the pi itself and not via amt gui i was running 205gh on 2 cards with 179 on the third card so i think after this 24hr graph is up im gonna see if there is a way to tweak and get it better (i am running nominal mode tho tbh will try turbo at later date)
i will keep you posted on whats going on as much as i can like i said Smiley
the temps from the big heatsink side are from right to left : 37*c - 45*c - 46*c while the small heatsinks sit at approx 65-70*c at avg 0.84v per chip
Probably there are dead chips or cores on third one. Any way I will watch your results closely Wink
About oc it is your depiction only..I would not do it but let us hope it is cold in canada Wink

Your psu can provide 104 Amps on 12V only. Not good....for 5 modules
about conector, other folks know maybe?
Guy's?

Not plugging in all 5 yet. I'm only will go one by one until the other power supply shows up.
Pm mell he made it I am sure he can give you a hand.there is a video of his miner also
I can't unfortunately...

815  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Minion ASIC - free samples and up to US$20000 discount on: April 14, 2014, 03:11:29 PM
I really wish this was less fighting between each other and more post about making new improved awesome miners.  Cry
Can't we all get along!
miners will be available in no time dude
The only two conditions are to be met
1. Marto to receive chips ASAP depends from black arrow only
2. Black arrow to keep his word and give good price for the chips to all folks who produce boards

Then we miners would be able to get minions in our hands and enjoy roi Wink
Eventually....
All depends on black arrow only
Ps: there is no ASIC chip available at the moment which will ever roi it's price alone
I do sincerely hope that black arrow will change it
816  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: April 14, 2014, 02:47:26 PM
ok, clear answer.
But i see now i was not very clear with my question.
The dump of log came from router not being connected with a miner, so my question was about the cgminer version only Smiley
Sorry about me being not very clear.
Do not worry Smiley
it is just a stupid txt file located in file system
/etc/hexminer_version or something
techno bit guy's probably forgot to update it also during build Wink
just look what screen tells you dude. That is always correct Cheesy
if there were HEX3 options inside the web you are golden...

Any ideas why keeps shut down every 5 hours?
What shuts down
Some more info dude os product software which you are using?

Yeah sure! Sorry I was in hurry just dropped in the question.

So it's a Hex8A1 running directly from a TP-Link.

In the first few days it was runing fine, but the last 3 deays it keeps shuting down about every 5 hours and I have to switch it down and up to get it runing.

The boards stops working and I got this message from api log:

[Firmware Version] => 20140329
cgminer: 4_1_0_5ed45a0
Socket connect failed: Connection refused

Edit: Just ssh-d in. Cgminer starts but don't recognize the board.

Lsusb?
Try setting default to 8
Directly into tplink?

Use hub in between for sure
dmesg will show you a lot of usb errors. Tplink does not like slow usb devices Cry
Just put a usb hub in between that is all
You can do folowing
1. Throw away tplink power adaprter
2. Buy usb 2.0 powered hub
3. Throw away usb hub power adapter
4. Rib of the power jack of hub and connect it to your psu 5V - take power for the hub from PSU which you are using to power the miner
5. Connect both usb cables of tplink into that hub power and data
6. Plug in there your hex board
7. Forget  about issues;)

Strange but I'll give it a try!

Thanks Loshia!
It is well known atheros chipset USB bug dude Wink When it happens you are lost. Only reboot can solve the situation, because usb is fucked up completely
Trust me...
And make sure you are using single ground from your PSU only. That is the key Wink
There is a slight chance your usb cable to be faulty also....

PS: as temporary solution you can
vi /usr/bin/cgminer-monitor.sh

find at the bottom something like:

    echo "`date`: cgminer hang starting" >> /tmp/monitor.log
    mv /tmp/cm_old.log /tmp/cm.log
    exit 0;

change it to

    echo "`date`: cgminer hang starting" >> /tmp/monitor.log
    mv /tmp/cm_old.log /tmp/cm.log
    reboot
    exit 0;

And make sure cron is running

But this is temp solution only

820  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to upgrade TPLINK TL-MR3020 firmware to technobit openwrt on: April 14, 2014, 09:51:49 AM
just upgraded the router to 0.3.2 as you showed it is newest version.
But after upgrade i see this

[Firmware Version] => 20140329
cgminer: 4_1_0_5ed45a0
Socket connect failed: Connection refused

What happend? Should i upgrade again? not with upgrade file but with factory file?

mm, they are not absolete for me, managing to buy used ones for 30 euros or less, so i am starting to stack them now Smiley

You need to fill in Hex3A3 Chip Count (Default: 16), Hex3A3 Chip Frequency (Default: 7000), Hex3A3 Chip Core Voltage mV (Default: 750), Hex3A3 Enable or Disable Chips (Default: 255) with their default value which is blank right now  Wink
Or upgrade without keeping settings  Wink
defaults are inside image. However if you do upgrade wile keeping settings do as zich suggested.

In general after each upgrade while keeping stings check the cgminer web and make sure there are no blanks there for all HEX* stuff
