801  Economy / Economics / Re: Things you should know about Money mindset on: July 14, 2023, 10:24:24 AM
Could you please show us the self-help book, out of which you learned all this info? I'm sure that you got all these ideas(or you copied the entire text) from a self-help book.
I usually avoid self-help/motivational books and videos, because they are just "feel good" content. They say "if you do this and that, you will become financially successful and you will achieve all your dreams". They portray a picture, where it's actually easy for you to achieve your goals, which is far away from the truth.
All this "money mindset" theory is way easier said than done. In reality, very few people are going to change their mindset about money, even if they read your forum post.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 14, 2023, 06:34:22 AM
As a morally upright person that does not like to cheat people, but gambles and has lost a lot of money to gambling in a casino where you have sometimes been cheated even without your knowledge or betting on sports, will you take an opportunity you get and go against your moral standards to cheat a casino or sportsbetting place, just so you can win big at least even once.

Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?

How do you imagine a gambler cheating a casino(it doesn't matter if it's online or offline casino)? Counting cards on an offline casino? This is extremely difficult for me and I know that the casinos have methods to catch gamblers, who are counting cards.
I don't know about any online casinos, that can be exploited. Even if such casinos exist, the exploit will easily get patched or the casino will simply shut down.
I would bet a small amount on a fixed sports event, but I don't believe that anyone would share verified information about fixed games for free over the internet.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Popular and Lucrative Ordinals Bitcoin NFTs- Where are my Ordinals Experts at? on: July 14, 2023, 06:03:20 AM
Hi All,

I imagine this post might be met with a high degree of skepticism but like it or not these ordinals seem like they're going to exchange hands no matter what and we have an opportunity here to make a lot of SATs with just one sat!!! A popular sat. A cheeky buggar sat, eh?

I want to know what is the best website to trade ordinals NFTs as well as to get informed on what are the trending Ordinals right now on the market, up and coming airdrops that you may all know of. I would like to know what is the best wallet to use for this as well? Might as well play around with it. Who knows could end up getting some really good ones that increase in value for a short time enough to cash out and get your chips up, savvy?

Cheers,

TREAD

The only people, who are making actual money out of NFTs are the ones, who create a bunch of NFTs and then invest in creating hype/fake scarcity/urgency around those NFTs. When the hype hits the roof, they sell those overpriced NFTs and take the profits.
Good luck trying to make big long term profits by buying and reselling NFTs. It doesn't matter if it's Bitcoin ordinals or the NFTs that were based on the Ethereum blockchain. Everything is about marketing a creating hype around an overvalued "product".
804  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 13, 2023, 10:56:14 AM
It's easy to gain new users for this Threads app, since Meta owns Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.
It's pretty clear at this point that Threads was built to be Twitter's competitor and maybe it will attract all the advertisers, who left Twitter.
I hear news about Zuckerberg hiring people, who were fired at Twitter by Elon Musk(and Musk isn't happy at all).
Meta stocks are getting a short term price pump, because the investors have positive expectations about Threads.
The idea of Elon Musk building a Twitter clone app is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The only right move for Musk would be to leave/sell Twitter.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 13, 2023, 06:15:46 AM
Lottery here in our country is being run by our government and the majority of the citizen in our country are lottery bettors for many years, I personally know people who are betting for ten or more years but they still have not hit the jackpot I wonder what these people think or if you're a lottery bettor for many years and you read that one first time bettor hit a huge jackpot in a lottery.

Will you feel envious? Ok with it? or motivated?

Filipino first-time bettor wins 15 million Dirhams in Dubai lottery

Why should I feel envy about another guy being lucky? Luck is luck, either you have it or you don't.
I definitely don't feel motivated by such news. I have always been skeptical about my luck and I don't believe that I'm going to win the lottery jackpot. There's a reason why lotteries are called "tax for the stupid". I have bought lottery tickets in the past with zero success.
My mother always urges me to play the lottery. I don't know why. I guess that she has that delusional hope, that I'm going to win someday.
Playing the lottery every day actually doesn't increase your chances of winning the jackpot. There was a Romanian mathematician, who had found the formula for winning almost every lottery, but it requires buying lots of tickets at once(which is big investment).
I don't remember his name.
806  Economy / Economics / Re: Always ask for POD form from your bank on: July 12, 2023, 10:19:22 AM
I though it right to share this with the forum as I think this will save some persons from a whole lot of drama and stress in case of a deceased.
I got to find out about a POD form which simply means  PAYABLE ON DEATH  from a friend yesterday  after his father  passed on, leaving them with some reasonable  sum of money in the bank and upon check, the father already has a POD form which saved them from the stress of getting a lawyer and all the legal processes to claim the money but rather all they had to do was get a death certificate, take it to the bank along with the POD form and the money will be issued.

I felt this was very important because I know how much effort and money it took us to get access to my late fathers money in the bank after he passed on.

I think everyone needs to get this form especially  if you have any holdings in the bank.

N/B: no one is dying anytime soon but death is inevitable.

I think that this POD document is required in your country, but it definitely isn't required in mine.
My father died 2 years and I was able to get all his money in his bank account with a death certificate and another certificate of inheritance, which I got from the administration of my local municipality. No "payable on death" document was needed.
I think that the only way you(and anyone else) would need a lawyer is when you fail to prove that you are the son and heir of your father.
I wonder what the process will be, if I had money in a centralized crypto exchange and I die someday. I'm pretty sure that my heirs(if I have any) won't receive any crypto from my accounts and the crypto exchanges will simply find dumb excuses to refuse the withdrawal.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 12, 2023, 06:09:52 AM
I wish I could have posted this in a more better place but since the thoughts came from gambling addiction, I thought it wise to ask this question over here and I hope we can discuss and get this straight.

Just as the tittle already ask, I really want to know if people who are successful in gambling also seen as addicts because I believe  for one to be successful in gambling or whatever they choose to do, there must be some good amount  of time and effort invested in it as well as money and we know that a successful  gambler must have invested  both time, effort and even money to make any reasonable  winning  and these also are features of an addict as there are always excessive time spent on a betting site.

Now let's be sincere, will you also classify a successful gambler as an addict?

1.Nobody sees successful people in general as addicts. Why? Because "the winners cannot be judged". A person, who is winning is good by default. Only the losers can be seen as addicts. That's just human nature.
2.Is there such a thing as a "successful gambler"? What kind of gamblers are you talking about? Professional poker players? Roulette, dice and slot players? Sports bettors? To be honest, I have never seen successful dice/slot/roulette players(those games are 100% luck with no skills required and maybe most of them are rigged). The successful professional poker players are a really small number and the same applies to successful sports bettors.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 12, 2023, 05:37:33 AM
Perhaps Satoshi never thought that Bitcoin would turn into a financial asset. He thought that BTC will have a somewhat stable and low price (low volatility)and it will be used as a digital currency. I guess that he was wrong about this. He was also partially wrong about Bitcoin being a 100% "peer-to-peer" system, because of all the third party centralized crypto projects, like exchanges, wallets, casinos, etc.
I know that Bitcoin in itself is truly p2p, but the entire crypto industry definitely isn't 100% peer-to-peer.
Maybe this will change and all centralized crypto projects will fade away.
Bitcoin became an investment because of it's fixed supply and growing demand, not because some whales did market manipulation back in the day.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 11, 2023, 06:43:02 AM
I don't know why Arsenal paid 70 million euro to Chelsea for Kai Havertz. I'm not impressed by this player at all. He has talent, but I think that he is overrated. Declan Rice seems also overrated to me. Arsenal became the second most expensive team in the Premier League. Let's see how they will compete against Manchester City in the next season.
Liverpool "kicked out" some not-so-important players like Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Roberto Firmino, Artur Melo, etc...
Klopp signed Dominic Soboslai and Mac Allister. Both seem like really good players. Liverpool will definitely have a stronger team for the next season.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivating gambling addicts to invest in bitcoins. on: July 11, 2023, 05:51:30 AM
Nowadays many people in our country are addicted to gambling. I have seen many people losing their huge amount in most of the gambling games. If all those people can be informed about bitcoin, how to earn money in bitcoin? I think they would have invested in Bitcoin and they could have made money from it.Besides, if they can discuss about Bitcointalk in detail, then I think they will learn about Bitcointalk besides investing in Bitcoin. In this, the person addicted to gambling could stay away from gambling besides earning money.

One thing to remember, I'm not criticizing gambling. I'm just sharing my opinion. thank you

Gambling addicts don't invest. If you give them money or crypto, they will just spend it in the casino.
Gambling addiction is a serious issue, which needs long term treatment and help from friends and family.
Thinking that you could miraculously cure gambling addicts by teaching them how to invest is simply delusional.
Bitcoin is NOT a way to earn money. Bitcoin is a financial asset/currency. I guess that you are talking about finding a job in the cryptocurrency industry as a way to earn money. I will have to disappoint you, but most gambling addicts don't have good skills and qualifications and no employer in the world would hire a person, that has an addiction.
811  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 10, 2023, 10:51:11 AM
No country in the world has become rich due to having a highly developed agriculture sector.
Countries become rich by developing high tech industries and investing in education and innovations.
The agriculture business is still important, but there's a reason why the farmers in most developed countries receive subsidies and various forms of government assistance. Without such assistance, the farmers will simply go bankrupt.
I don't think that agriculture can save any country in the world from a recession. Recession has nothing to do with a particular sector of the economy and everything to do with the demand for goods and services and the overall economic and financial activity.
Good luck keeping your tomato farm alive, when the demand for tomatoes goes down due to the recession.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympic Games, but doping is allowed?! on: July 10, 2023, 06:12:44 AM

the president of "the Enhanced Games" believes that this competition could unlock the athlete's true potential and will obliterate all the world record that has been set in the Olympic games. from what I have read in an article, they are planning on launching this event next year in December.

This guy must be joking, but I appreciate his idea, because all this hypocrisy around the Olympic sports must end. Let's be honest here.
All Olympic athletes are using doping in one way or another. The athletes from the big and rich nations are using better high quality doping.
That's why USA and China athletes have the most medals on every Olympic games.
Anyway, this news has little to do with the discussions around Gambling, because I don't believe that the bookies would allow betting on these "Enhanced games". I'm sure that the athletes with the bigger "doping budgets" would win all the time.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not decentralized on: July 10, 2023, 05:29:41 AM
Yes, bitcoin is not decentralized.

1- as you may have seen binance was about to ruin the whole crypto market in 2019 when they wanted to reorg blocks to recover a hacked 7,000 bitcoins.

2- a lot of people's worried about foundry market share in the mining space as it threats bitcoin security and partial decentralization

And there is many other points

In short decentralization for bitcoin is like anonymity for mixers you just add another layer of security for investments but this doesn't mean that mixers don't record your data like chipmixer did, and also it doesn't mean that bitcoin is 100% decentralized as you saw it just needs huge power to have it ruined and that is a good reason to use it

Thanks

1.Well, Binance didn't ruin the crypto market, because nobody would allow them to "reorg blocks to recover hacked BTC".
Using a failed example from 4 years ago doesn't prove that Bitcoin isn't decentralized.
2.The debate about Bitcoin being not decentralized because mining power is concentrated a bunch of big companies exists for years.
The "51% attack" theory doesn't make sense because the attacker would simply waste too much resources and gain nothing in return.
3.I agree that BTC mixers are centralized, but nobody is forcing anyone to use them. If you want anonymity, just use Monero. Bitcoin isn't supposed to be 100% anonymous.

I don't get this nonsense. Do you really think that Coinbase and Binanse will dominate the financial world? Is this a joke?
The global finance cannot be compared to a shitcoin, because global finance is so much more than a crypto scam. I assume that by "global finance" you mean the western USA dominated financial system. You are not saying anything about the alternative financial systems of countries like Russia, China, India and Brazil. Do you think that they are the same as the US system, or there are some differences.
Try to improve your English before posting here. Did you use Google Translate? I don't understand most of your  forum post.

cry-ex.com is open for registration come and join. will have a first lottey game later Smiley

Great announcement thread! Very informative and entertaining. Grin I completely understand everything about your project from this one sentence. Maybe this is some unconventional marketing trick used to evoke curiosity. The shorter the better. Grin
cry-ex.com seems like a really weird domain name. Would you mind telling us why did you pick such a weird domain name? Is it about crying over your ex-girlfriend, after she dumped you, or is it about crying, after you have lost money playing lottery games on such gambling website.
 Grin
Good luck with the project, OP.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think at some point government will change its stand and adopt Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2023, 05:52:10 AM
The "government" consists a political parties(one or more), who rules until the end of their mandate and get replaced(in most cases).
The government accepting Bitcoin would mean that all political parties will have to accept Bitcoin. This is easier said than done.
I think that the governments around the world(especially the governments of the big countries) will keep pushing CBDCs, while trying to oppress Bitcoin/crypto in one way or another. People like the CEO of Blackrock or Jamie Dimon could shift their opinions like total hypocrites. One day they are Bitcoin supporters, the other day they start criticizing Bitcoin and spreading FUD. You can't trust such sociopaths.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 07, 2023, 06:51:28 AM
Great move by Real Madrid. Signing with the 18 year old Turkish player Arda Guler from Fenerbahce. He seems like a really promising young player(maybe "the next Messi"). Great left foot and awesome dribbling skills(also great view of the game and football intellect).
Real has been doing great on the transfer market recently. The only problem is that Killian Mbappe probably won't sign with Real this summer.
I really hope that this Turkish player won't turn into yet another failed super-talent. The expectations about him are too high at such a young age.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Not your keys, Not your coins" is not enough on: July 07, 2023, 05:58:47 AM
I agree with your point, but what happens after the Bitcoin/crypto ecosystem becomes completely CEX/KYC free?
I'm sure that all the governments will start banning crypto mining and trying to shut down all DEX platforms, due to money laundering and tax evasion. Maybe the DEX platform will host their servers somewhere offshore. Maybe the DEX platforms and non-custodial wallets will fuse into one decentralized service.
Let's not forget that CEX platforms are one of the main reasons Bitcoin reached really high price levels. Will it be the same when CEX platforms go down? The centralized crypto companies abiding by the rules and regulations and imposing KYC is one of the reasons the governments still tolerate the crypto industry. I'm not a fan of centralized crypto companies at all, but they also contribute something to the crypto industry.
819  Economy / Economics / Re: Fix the money, Fix the world. on: July 06, 2023, 11:39:30 AM
The Rich/Government has used money as a tool to oppress the poor in a way that they practically use it to control everything in the world with the help of financial institutions.

The high class as they are called has maintained dominance in everything, not to be bitcoin biased or cynical, but in this case, I see Bitcoin as the alternative to this controversy and if we want to eliminate the power that is intoxicating us, then we must advocate for alternative means, Bitcoin as a currency without any central control will handle this menace in a manner that everybody will have power, control and self custody of their bitcoin, the market forces will now depend on more individual investments in it and group or institutional adoption, just imagine making Bitcoin handy and accessible to the populace.

I think the world will be a better place without notice or segregation between the rich and the poor if Bitcoin is embraced fully since Bitcoin is not a currency of a particular country everyone has the equal right and power to either store it or use it.

It's theoretically possible for the rich elite/governments to manipulate the Bitcoin price(by buying BTC, by spreading FUD or by directly banning BTC/crypto). What happens then? I've said this multiple times. Bitcoin is not some kind of magical solution for all problems. Bitcoin cannot end wealth inequality. Bitcoin cannot take away the power from the rich elite and give it to the masses.
You are right about one thing. Money is a tool. But money is not the main source of the rich elite's economical and financial power.
The rich elite owns various financial assets and production facilities. This is way more important than simply having money in the bank.
820  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it nomal for BLACKJACK.FUN to investigate for more than 6 months? on: July 06, 2023, 06:52:23 AM
What are they investigating? Did you do something wrong on this casino? Using a VPN? Having alt accounts? Bonus system abuse?
Investigating for more than 6 months seems like BS to me. Maybe the casino actually investigates suspicious cases for real, but the "investigation team" is too small and can't handle all cases. It's hard for me to believe in such thing, but who knows.
This seems like yet another case of the good old "gambler wants to withdraw big amount, but the casino finds BS excuses to refuse withdrawal" horror story. That's why I always recommend the gamblers NOT to accumulate and leave big amounts of crypto in online casinos. Why do I have the feeling, that after the "investigation" ends, your account will be blocked and the withdrawal will be refused.
