801  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB/WTS] Casascius Holo Error / Collectible Marketplace on: November 27, 2015, 10:17:17 AM
Looking for silver halves, will take quite a few. Straight sale, or trade against high grade silvers / errors.

So has anyone got any silver halves ?
802  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius 2011 Double Error Coin on: November 26, 2015, 02:20:51 PM
Dont see these available. Its something most would want as part of our collections. I would love one too.

I think Elianite had 1 pictured in his cas book. Unsure if that was a stock pic, or one from Mike, or if he got it from a holder of one. Might be worth an ask.

***Edit, yep its on Page 6 *** http://www.coinfirm.org/ no mention of source for the pic

These coins are being sold on behalf of HardBTC. I have graded all 4 coins, and am now selling them on his behalf. The coins are in my possession, in the UK, and ready to ship. Shipping will be done via UPS and is included in the sale price.

Escrow is naturally expected, and would be via one of the usual forum escrows to be mutually agreed at point of sale. Escrow fees will be the responsibility of the buyer. Escrow funds will be released to HardBTC.

Please be weary of scammers trying to request payment, if you show interest in the thread. By all means post offers publicly, but please also PM them to me, so that I can reply to your message. If you require anonymity, PM only, and your desire to remain anonymous will be respected. Agreements of a deal will only be made as a reply to a PM already sent by you. (include whatever identifier you want to show authenticity of reply)

Any questions, or additional images, please ask.

Coin sales only rather than trades.

815  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Suggestions on how to sell coins here and get them graded on: November 11, 2015, 11:08:14 PM
Check the Goods section here. Lots of Casascius coin traders.

Grading is generally by ANACS out of the USA. ref http://www.anacs.com. Cost is about 20usd each plus shipping both ways.

Yeah, I've been through the Goods section but didn't want to post questions there.
I saw ANACS mentioned but isn't there something similar in Europe? Must be some kind of other grading companies.

Thanks for the reply,
IAS

You may want to contact member "monkeynuts"
I believe him to be in Europe and deals with many graded coins.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Smiley

I missed this thread !!!

I am in the UK, and regularly have batches go to ANACS

Fire me over a PM if you are still wanting to do this. I will pretty much do it at cost, as more coins in a batch reduces the 'shipping costs per coin' down (for yours, and the other coins in the batch). Gives us Europeans more chance of a level playing field with the US guys. I can pass on a few names that I have done this for already so they can vouch (I will need to check that they are happy me doing this first), but I have done this for a number of forum members now.

Failing that, let me know if any of your cas coins are available for sale. I am looking for silver halfs, and 2011 series 2 brass.

817  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN][WTS]1 Million 1/2Oz 0.999 Fine GOLD Crypto Imperator Doge 2/10 Avail on: November 09, 2015, 10:48:43 PM

I just bought #8 from CryptoImperator and I doubt it has even been assembled yet.  That is most likely a scam.

The pictures of the coin on wood, are the same pictures CryptoImperator sent me when I inquired about the coin.

The I suggest you contact them....
This seller is from France and CI is in Spain.
Not sure where you are....EU from your time stamp.

The seller also has some nice Microsoul coins for sale.
Isn't gravitate from France?

Thanks Smiley

Looks like the sale is closed down, wonder what that was all about?

It looks like that seller still has some coins for sale.  I'm guessing they don't own those either.

http://www.ebay.com/usr/pierre.ski?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

This is Gravitate selling on ebay. I have bought from this ebay account, in order to leave him good feedback, so he could have enough feedback to sell internationally - he requested that publicly on here, and gave a good discount at the time.

I believe he initially incorrectly listed as #8 rather than #6 (on behalf of CI), then corrected it when you shouted it out (but didnt explain here)

These other microsoul coins listed by the same ebay account, I have very recently graded those for him with ANACS. Noone else would have known about those other than us 2.

Happy that the forum account, ebay account, and email conversation today are all with Gravitate.
818  Other / Off-topic / Re: EBAY sale Question on: November 09, 2015, 10:41:56 PM
I'm going to go against the grain, and say I would be very weary about selling a high ticket item to a new buyer.  In my experience, paypal usually sides with the buyer.  All the buyer has to do is say they didnt receive it, or got a empty box, or make other excuses.  Then do a paypal chargeback, and that's that.

The posters have made solid advice, but I would personally not feel comfortable.  I've personally cancelled 0 feedback purchases, on high ticket items.  Even if taking the hit as a seller, I want to err on the side of caution.

I agree. I would also be weary with a brand new account, and zero feedback. (You would be weary if it was a newbie on here)

The consequences of selling to this guy and it going tits up are you potentially losing the coin.
The consequences of not selling and waiting for the next buyer are that you may get slightly lower, but it would most likely be the safer option

I dont think its a risk worth taking. If this guy has joined ebay after you posted the auction, then my alarm bells would really ring. This coin is not widely known about, and also possibly still available from CI. So they have either seen this coin linked on here (and why not do it as an escrowed bitcoin payment then), or they already had an ebay ID that had a search alert set (and then have created a different account to buy this with). Either way it doesnt look right.

Alternatives .... perhaps a Paypal friends and Family payment .... not linked to the auction. Unsure if that would work ? Unsure if that cant have a chargeback made against it or not. Or good old escrowed bitcoins
819  Other / Off-topic / Re: EBAY sale Question on: November 09, 2015, 10:41:41 PM
The buyer sent me an email from the paypal address. I asked for ID and proof of address. He declined the ID but took a photo of the front of a letter with the name and address on. Therefore I think it is still a risk to send the coin as he could have got that photo anyway. I suggested a discount by birtcoin or bank transfer with Escrow but he declined.

minerjones it was me yes C I will be answering the thread a bit later

Since I just purchased #8 from CryptoImperator, you've peaked my interest, care to explain?  Or did I miss the sarcasm...

It was a typo in his original ebay auction #6 was sold, not #8. I had a quick email with Gravitate about it today.

Which is interesting because I told CryptoImperator that I wanted #6 too but was waiting to see #8 in person.  I hadn't given him a deposit for #6 yet so I guess he's going to get away with this.

I guess CI and Gravitate need to clear that up with you personally then
