8121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoincash or Maker or Mixin or Ethereum? Who will be next to Bitcoin? on: May 05, 2018, 01:04:44 AM
BCH, Maker, Mixin and ETH are in line on top behind BTC now. ETH is almost been talked about everywhere and BCH as well. We need to now look at Maker and Mixin. Maker has been coming up silently maintaing its 3rd place in value. Today i can see Mixin has entered into top list.

Will Maker and Mixin take over BCH or hold its current place above ETH?  Kindly share your thoughts.
What's maker and mixin? I haven't yet heard about that. ETH is the correct answer consider the next update could make the price of ethereum will be doubled because we will get hardcap for the ethereum total supply due to the pos casper network implementation and staking system. Just curious what is that maker and mixin?

This is an old trick used in the past to pretend to ask about good and legitimate cryptocoins and they also include some of their scamcoins in the sentence to make it appear that they are good and legitimate too.

I reckon it was easier to do in the past because the scamcoins during that time were POW mined, had real working code, a network of nodes and a small community. Today they are nothing but tokens generated somewhere.
8122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: May 04, 2018, 01:28:16 AM
@faruk34. Aeon will rise, but not as high as the other bigger projects. I reckon it would be better for you to lower your expectations. Aeon is not a coin for making you rich as quickly as possible. It is a coin for community building and real world usage like bitcoin.
8123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here's Why Ethereum Is a Better Bet, Says Reddit Cofounder on: May 04, 2018, 01:09:51 AM
@snapee11. No bitcoin is at the top because it is the most used and most widely accepted cryptocoin in the world. It is also the safest and the most secure to use. One confirmation for a bitcoin transaction would be enough, others need more to be considered safe.
8124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 224: Nunes vs Pennington Info and Prediction Thread on: May 04, 2018, 01:01:55 AM
I reckon the UFC should have included Francis Ngannou versus the Black Beast as the comain event. All the fights scheduled in the main card are so dry and uninteresting except maybe for the oldies, Lyoto Machida versus Vitor Belfort hehehe.

I miss watching Lyoto's style.
Yep love watching the oldies like Lyoto, BJ Penn, Tito Ortiz, Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell but only if they fight the same way on their prime. We have to accept it that in this kind of sport age is a factor. Notice that those who were released by UFC like Sonnen and Mir are picked up by Bellator. Age maybe a factor why there are released but Bellator is still giving them a chance to fight. They are still crowd drawers.

Good thing UFC gave Amanda Nunes another chance after refusing to fight last UFC 213. It was stated that she is medically cleared and fit to fight but she just doesn't want to because she just don't feel like fighting.

Another chance to be the headliner, you mean? Yes, but Amanda will not be as big as Ronda Rousey like how Amanda thought she would be after winning the belt and winning versus Ronda.

I wish Ronda transferred to another training camp and became a better MMA fighter. It would be better for the sport.

Also I wish Raquel wins hehehe.
8125  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-03] Goldman Sachs to Open a Bitcoin Trading Operation on: May 04, 2018, 12:56:39 AM
@thefaucetrunner. Hehehe you are not a real investment banker without the matching man bun.

Yes, the futures market for bitcoin is only the start. When they start holding real bitcoins and other cryptocoins, then start selling weird blockchain investment derivatives, the cryptospace will be in a bigger bubble than it was last year and then it will crash. I reckon it might also cause an economic depression if the bubble is big enough.
8126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Here's Why Ethereum Is a Better Bet, Says Reddit Cofounder on: May 03, 2018, 02:12:27 AM
Alexis Ohanian might have overestimated Ethereum's ability to to be a platform for decentralized applications. Status' ICO and the more famous Cryptokitties have shown that it endures the same problems as bitcoin because block space is limited.

Is he only saying what he wants to see because he is speculating on ETH, or does he really believe in it? He must have seen Ethereum's limitations by now. Over 100 ICOs done and no real working product except for the Cryptokitties hehehe.

While Bitcoin may be the poster child of cryptocurrencies, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian thinks the second most valuable cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ethereum, will be the real winner.

“I’m most bullish about Ethereum simply because people are actually building on it,” Ohanian told Fortune’s Term Sheet Tuesday. Ohanian has stepped back from Reddit’s day-to-day operations and now invests in firms including Coinbase via his venture capital firm, Initialized Capital.

Because developers have found it challenging to create applications based on the Bitcoin blockchain, finding Ethereum more flexible, Ohanian says he sees the price of Ethereum rising faster than the price of Bitcoin this year.

His prediction: While the price of Bitcoin will more than double by the end of the year, regaining it’s all-time high of $20,000, Ethereum will reach 21 times its current value — hitting $15,000 by the end of 2018. Bitcoin now stands at about $9,100, while Ethereum is valued at about $690.

Prepare yourselves. If you thought bitcoin was in a very overblown bubble last year, then just wait until we see what the investment bankers can do when they hold real actual bitcoins.

The same with the housing bubble, it will be decades in the making until we witness the bubble burst, I reckon.

The bank’s first “digital asset” trader, Justin Schmidt, joined Goldman two weeks ago to handle the day-to-day operations, a hiring that was first reported by Tearsheet. In his last job, Mr. Schmidt, 38, was an electronic trader at the hedge fund Seven Eight Capital. In 2017, he left that job to trade virtual currencies on his own.

He will initially be placed on Goldman’s foreign currency desk because Bitcoin trading has the most similarity to movements in emerging market currencies, Ms. Yared said.

Mr. Schmidt is looking at trading actual Bitcoin — or physical Bitcoin, as it is somewhat ironically called — if the bank can secure regulatory approval from the Federal Reserve and New York authorities.

The firm also has to find a way to confidently hold Bitcoin for customers without its being stolen by hackers, as has happened to many Bitcoin exchanges. Mr. Schmidt and Ms. Yared said the current options for holding Bitcoin for clients did not yet meet Wall Street standards.

Goldman is known for pushing the envelope in the trading of complicated products. The firm faced significant criticism after the financial crisis for its profitable trading of so-called synthetic derivatives tied to the subprime mortgage markets.

8129  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-02] Switzerland Positioning Itself as Blockchain Capital of the World on: May 03, 2018, 01:03:02 AM
I reckon the SEC in America has to be careful not to scare away the innovators from their country. If they start labeling cryptocoins like ETH and Ripple as illegal and unlicensed securities now, they will go to a place where they are welcome in any case, and America be left behind from all the cryptospace's developments.

I am not a fan of both projects but I reckon they should be given some space to innovate.
8130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: May 02, 2018, 02:16:44 AM
Spoiler alert.

@gabmen. I wish Game of Thrones would kill off more characters than the audience expects like what they did in the Avengers Infinity War hehehe. I was very shocked that Marvel did it.

8131  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-01] Low Connection Between Cryptocurrencies and Organized Crime in Hong on: May 02, 2018, 02:00:33 AM
It is still too early to tell. From the article I reckon that the Hongkong police have not collected enough data yet to make a definite conclusion that the connection between organized crime and the cryptospace is low. The BTCE money laundering scandal should remind us that it is indeed really high.
8132  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [27-04-2018] FSA Slams Another Crypto Exchange with Business Improvement Order on: May 02, 2018, 01:27:26 AM
This is good news. I predict, in 5 years, that the best cryptocoin exchanges will be operating from Japan because of their stricter laws and their higher standards. I remember when I was a kid I used to love toys that were made in Japan, but not the toys that were made in China hehehe.
8133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Daedalus Wallet for Cardano (ADA) Is A Shit Wallet on: May 02, 2018, 01:06:30 AM
Agreed. The original development team behind Monero were slimy douchebags. It is good that smooth, Moneromooo, Fluffypony and the rest of them forked it away from the original team.

For what you said about the no.1 coin for pedophiles around the world, I reckon the American dollar and the Euro are the most used currencies for criminals.

Sorry but I had to reply. But yes, focus. Back to Daedalus.

I expected much more from Charles Hoskinson and IOHK.
8134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Daedalus Wallet for Cardano (ADA) Is A Shit Wallet on: May 01, 2018, 12:59:24 AM
Slimy? How are they slimy? What did they do? Monero is a great project, I reckon.

Forgive me. I discovered and joined the cryptospace a little later than you and have joined the Aeon community later after that.

8135  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-27] Alleged Crypto Pump and Dump Group Exposed by an Apparent Insider on: May 01, 2018, 12:50:38 AM
Does Charlie Lee hype other cryptocoins besides his litecoin? I reckon he hyped Nano. Or maybe shilled is the right word hehehe.

In any case, it is not good for a man of his position.
8136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: May 01, 2018, 12:40:26 AM
@boomboombazookajeff. I reckon smooth is the only reason why Aeon has been holding on as a project and as a coin. Without him, it would have been one of the forgotten projects. To tell you the truth, it appears to be like a forgotten project by some people. Aeon is on 301th place in coinmarketcap.com hehehe.
8137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Daedalus Wallet for Cardano (ADA) Is A Shit Wallet on: April 30, 2018, 01:28:28 AM
This is embarassing considering that the developers of IOHK were hyped to make up one of the best developments teams in the cryptospace that were handpicked by Charles Hoskinson himself.

I reckon nothing beats a group of open source coders collaborating from all over the world as Monero has shown.

Have fun playing with your new wallet hehehe.
8138  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-28] Venezuela Shuts Down Two Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: April 30, 2018, 01:14:46 AM
-snip-
“I have spoken with the President of the Republic to create new detention centers for these criminals.”

LoL, a country with too many problems, poverty, economic crisis...try to build a new detention centerS for people managing exchanges! That's hilarious.
Now, after creating their local cryptocurrency, they don't want people to trade it with fiat or other altcoins (abroad?), i am confused really.

It shows that they do not have control over their own financial system anymore. The banks in their country might also be trying to put pressure on the government to take action.

But it will not be long now. There will be a change of regime in Venezuela in 2 or 3 years.
8139  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-27] Alleged Crypto Pump and Dump Group Exposed by an Apparent Insider on: April 30, 2018, 01:00:45 AM
@hatshepsut93. You said Often times the people behind cryptocurrency projects are themselves manipulating the market of their own coin, by leveraging their position and doing trades before their own announcements.

Do you reckon Litecoin founder Charlie Lee is one of them? He often hypes and sometimes does fud on some cryptocoins that he likes and dislikes. Sometimes I reckon that he is leveraging his fame to influence the newbies.

He is also trying to do it with his own coin, litecoin, which his latest tweets are trying to say that he has bought back again.

Maybe he was one of them...
http://uk.businessinsider.com/litecoin-creator-charlie-lee-sells-entire-ltc-holding-2017-12
I doubt that was a marketing strategy at that time, more an excuse to cash out since he knew that bad times were coming. But I still like his attitude towards bcash anyway.. Grin

As for the guys in the article, judging by date and volume, this pump and dump worked for them unfortunately.
They claimed they had a deal for 14k satoshi and even now the coin is still at 37020... Angry

I reckon that will not be Charlie Lee's last move on litecoin. After selling on the absolute high, he will be buying again on the lowest point of the year and start hyping his own coin again. Yet we also see him fud some coins on Twitter. That is hypocritical of him.

It might be better for him if he stays silent. Can you imagine Satoshi pumping bitcoin like a scammer?
8140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: April 30, 2018, 12:54:50 AM
Eros23 posted another analysis but this time on Aeon/BTC.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/AEONBTC/XhvjDrPY-Aeon-BTC-Continuous-growth-of-the-2-cryptonote-coin/

It is the same prediction as his Aeon/USD chart in which I make the same argument, how can Aeon perform better than bitcoin if the volume is low, and the exchanges it is listed in is only 3?
