7141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 232: Jones vs Gustafsson 2 Prediction and Info Thread on: January 05, 2019, 02:57:00 AM
@peter0425. Read the news sometimes. Dana already said that there will be no rematch because Amanda Nunes dominated Chris Cyborg. He would be creating a different storyboard if the fight was so close, however. But we have what we have hehehe.
~ snip ~

There was a video circulating lately that showed Cyborg take a nasty fall from a trolley, that was right before her fight with Nunes, so it's not impossible to think that the damage from the fall impacted her ability to fight.

I mean let's be realistic, Cyborg is an absolute monster, before this fight there was no reason to suspect that Nunes would dominate her in such a fashion. Since this was a relatively quick defeat, we can reasonably assume that Cyborg either had a bad day, or Nunes got particularly lucky. I really doubt that Nunes would dominate her again.

That being said, Nunes is also a beast, so I imagine the next fight will be more competitive.

It's either Cyborg was affected by that trolley incident or she just grew old overnight, we will never know the reason behind. I also think that there's no need for a rematch at this point. And as far as I can remember, Cyborg has only 1 fight left in her contract so I doubt we will a rematch unless Dana signs her to a new contract that will make the fight possible in the future.

Excuses. Each fighter who has believed that they would not lose always look for a way out to change the public's perception of the loss. It was similar to Joanna Jedrzejczyk's situation after her loss to humble Rose Namajunas. Joanna gave excuses then she got the rematch. However, what occured in the rematch?

7143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and other cryptocurencies are not necessary says Chinese people on: January 04, 2019, 02:29:35 AM
In a report earlier this week, it was gathered that a recent survey conducted in China brought a result of 66% saying there's no need for Bitcoin  and other cryptocurencies. Do you consider this a FUD or it's the actual representation of their thoughts?

It is unnecessary for each of them until their authoritative goverment orders the banks to seize their bank accounts for some reason. Also those people who took the survey are possibly those ordinary residents who care only to go to school, work and die peacefully.
7144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 04, 2019, 02:07:23 AM
What are the possibilities for Floyd versus Pacman 2 if Manny wins dominantly where he gives Adrien Broner a pair of biological sunglasses hehehe? High chance, medium or low?

I reckon the fans are ready for another super fight.
7145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Litecoin-UFC Partnership Lead to Mass Adoption? on: January 04, 2019, 01:32:50 AM
I reckon not one of the people who posted in the thread read after the title hehehe. Please read the post and also the news and share your ideas or assessment.

In any case, I never trusted Charlie Lee. He might be a wolf in sheep's clothing.
7146  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-02] HitBTC freezes customer funds before proof of keys event on: January 04, 2019, 01:14:05 AM
Well, I was all a victim to this new HitBTC's action.
My account was frozen January 1st, 2019 for an unnecessary reason.
Thank god my mourning period is going to be over today.
I feel really sad for HitBTC suspending my account though.

It said that your account will be frozen until January 3. It must be the proof of keys movement they are attempting to stop. I reckon HitBTC has the right to, however it also communicates the message the the proof of keys movement was trying to make. Not your keys, not your coins.

It's possible there will be a rematch but soon. I read an article that Cyborg wants an immediate rematch from Amanda Nunes as she said "of course"
but Dana White don't think this is the right time. He's figuring out what's next for Cyborg before the rematch. I would like also to pay to have the their rematch soon not immediately.

I reckon that was not what the message that Dana White was giving during the post fight interviews. There will not be a rematch for Cyborg and Amanda Nunes, saving that Cyborg proves herself worthy.

In any case, it will take a much later time than soon. Did you watch the fight? Would a rematch of that fight sell? It will not, I reckon.
7148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: January 03, 2019, 03:47:32 AM
The MMA experience of Tenshin Nasukawa is useless since its boxing rules. I was surprised that the fight was uploaded in Youtube after reading the rules set by Floyd, I thought the fight will not be uploaded since there's a media black out, I guess there's a change of plans and someone again earned from doing this.
Floyd - 1
Boxing and MMA Fans - 0

The fight video was pretty lame. Would Floyd have won if his opponent could have used his legs? I doubt it. Yet he was still strutting around like he had just retained his belt or something. It's hard to believe anybody made any money here except for Floyd.

Like many others, I'd like to see him fight Pacquiao again, but quite honestly I can't see the fight ending any other way than it did the last time. What would possibly change between last time and the next time? Both are getting older at the same rate after all.

I quite enjoyed it hehehe. Especially after the body shot that caused the first knock down that showed the face Tenshin Nasukawa made. I reckon he suddenly became aware that the fight was not an exhibition for Floyd, but real and Floyd was there to kill him.

Maybe Floyd scammed the Rizin Fighting Federation by pretending to agree that it would only be an exhibition hehehe.
7149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: January 03, 2019, 03:30:06 AM
@everyone. Remove all your Aeons from HitBTC. The stories about its indiscriminate freezing of accounts and not allowing people to withdraw are starting to go around and posted in different bitcoin news media websites.
7150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Will Litecoin-UFC Partnership Lead to Mass Adoption? on: January 03, 2019, 03:23:17 AM
I like what the Litecoin Foundation is doing by beginning to set up a storyboard that adoption is the main purpose of litecoin's advertising and brand awareness campaign.

However, Charlie Lee is known to tweet about cryptocoins, litecoin also, and influence them to pump or to dump. This brand awareness campaign of his might not be a move for mass adoption, but a preparation for litecoin's biggest pump.

On Saturday, Dec 29, 2018, the UFC 232: Jones Vs. Gustaffson 2 event included the Litecoin Foundation (Litecoin) as the UFC’s first official cryptocurrency partner. Since the fight, some have wondered whether partnerships between sporting organizations and cryptocurrency companies can lead to the mass adoption of cryptocurrency.

The UFC is not the first sporting organization to include a cryptocurrency partner or sponsor. Several European soccer/football teams have had crypto sponsors. In 2014, Dogecoin sponsored NASCAR driver Josh Wise. The Dogecoin logo and mascot appeared on the number 98 race car at a number of races. On May 4, 2014, the car was featured for a brief period as commentators discussed Dogecoin and cryptocurrency. These and other partnerships and sponsorships have created avenues in which awareness was raised to the existence of cryptocurrencies. Such awareness might not have otherwise been raised. As more partnerships and sponsorships emerge, awareness is maintained.

Awareness raising is an important preliminary step for the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies. CLICK TO TWEET
If people are not aware of their existence, they are not likely to use them in their daily lives. However, people are also prone to forget things after they happen. Thus, awareness maintenance becomes a second step toward the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies

7151  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-01-02] HitBTC freezes customer funds before proof of keys event on: January 03, 2019, 02:51:33 AM
Proof of keys is a movement from within the bitcoin community to withdraw all their bitcoins from the exchanges to celebrate the birth of the bitcoin genesis block on January 3.

In any case, what this might also cause is that it might expose some exchanges to be running a fractional reserve. Signifying, that they might not have the bitcoins to accomodate all withdrawals hehehe.

HitBTC, a popular cryptocurrency exchange, has been accused of freezing withdrawals for many of its customer’s accounts. The withdrawals reportedly took place just days before the much-anticipated Proof of Keys event, where cryptocurrency investors are prompted to remove all of their assets from third-party platforms to take control of their private keys.

According to multiple sources on Reddit, HitBTC’s account suspensions began on December 31, 2018, when a user by the name of PEDXS had his account frozen. The user claimed HitBTC repeatedly denied his request to withdraw his altcoin holdings despite completing all of the required KYC tests. And while he eventually regained control of his account, the exchange failed to provide an explanation.

Another user took to Reddit to complain about the “withdrawal rejections” he faced on the exchange, saying that he never had his funds locked without warning before. The user explained that customer support was initially fast to respond but quickly disappeared once they were faced with tough questions about the withdrawals.

Since then, numerous testimonies have popped up on social media where users voiced their concerns about the exchange’s practice of freezing withdrawals. Users have also become suspicious about the timing of the event, saying that these “roadblocks” could be a part of HitBTC’s plan to prevent withdrawals during the Proof of Keys event.

However, some experts have argued that HitBTC hs been behind on withdrawals and indiscriminately freezing accounts for months and that the fact it happened just before the Proof of Keys event was nothing more than a coincidence.

@BitHodler. About Ethereum and EOS, the reason either being both of them cannot deliver on their promises of being a scalable platform, or there are no real usecases for dapps or decentralized smart contracts.

@peter0425. Did you not see what Floyd did to the Japanese Rizin kickboxing champion? This Japanese kid will be shutting up his mouth when the name Floyd Mayweather will be mentioned hehehe.

In any case, how did the promotion for this fight start? Who challenged who?

Why is everyone angry when Floyd won the fight? You have an experienced 40 year old, 50 - 0, best pound for pound boxer versus a young kickboxer fighting in boxing rules. How was this fight supposed to end?
7156  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins 2018 speculations that will make you LOL! on: December 31, 2018, 03:01:38 AM
1)Thomas Lee first predicted prices would touch 25k, later in the year he adjusted it to 13k and now he's not interested in making any more predictions lol.

Luckily I'm not so famous, but I predicted/expected 50k and I also reached the point I'm afraid of making predictions anymore.
It's easy to predict. Anyone can do it. It's much harder to actually predict it right.
And yes, investing by others' predictions is simply lottery.

Your admission strengthens our assumption that those hedge fund experts only know as much as the forum experts of bitcointalk hehehe.
7157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON [2018-11-30: update to 0.12.7.0+ ASAP; 0.12.8.0 on Windows] on: December 31, 2018, 02:35:32 AM
@camthegeek. Yes the site is certainly something I was looking for. Thank you.

In any case, I did not know that there are so many cryptonight light coins! Also, Turtlecoin and Masari have more hashrate than us? I thought we were the king of cryptonight light hehehe.

It shows to me that only Turtlecoin uses cryptonight lite. Masari uses cryptonight fast. Unless they are so similar that you count them as same.

I would consider them, by a moderate extent, similar if the hardware to mine cryptonight fast can also be used to mine cryptonight light. That would give it the possibility that we are open to 51% attacks because of our low hashrate.
7158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: December 31, 2018, 02:14:39 AM
It might be the right time to ask smooth if he is open to the idea to use some of the community funds to pay for listing fees on exchanges hehehe.

Tradeogre might exit scam anytime and HitBTC is a scam according to the Monero community. Bittrex is the only acceptable exchange that we are listed. We need more, I reckon.
7159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum futures in the horizon? on: December 31, 2018, 02:06:25 AM
This would be the worst thing to happen to ether price in this tough period, people need to look at how the futures impact Bitcoin price negatively this year, alot of people were celebrating it last year but we have seen first hand how its pans out, beware of what you wish for

A super pump on the anticipation of a futures market for Ethereum, bad? No it will be the best thing for the cryptospace speculators to end this bear market.

In any case, the pattern similar to 2017 is revealing itself again. Ethereum started the bull market on January of that year and reached the top on May just in time for Consensus 2017 hehehe.
7160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 232: Jones vs Gustafsson 2 Prediction and Info Thread on: December 30, 2018, 01:43:23 AM
Everybody is on drugs these days it's only a matter of being smart and able to cover it up. Lance Armstrong was doping, all bodybuilders are on steroids, recently one of them got a fatal heart attack at the age of 26. I read about it like a week ago.

Gustafsson is having his fun:

The event will be a double doping match:

Quote
on January 6, 2012, it was announced that Cyborg had tested positive for stanozolol, an anabolic steroid. As a result of the banned substance, the fight's result was changed to a no contest. Cyborg had her license suspended for one year and was fined $2,500.

He is having his fun because Alexander Gustafsson knows that he can beat a steroid using Jon Jones because he almost did in their 1st fight, which was very possible that Jon was doping.
