821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Don't Black People Use Bitcoins? on: September 12, 2011, 08:19:54 PM
AND WHERE IS OUR WHITE ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION?

Fuck off back to stormfront please, this topic is for serious discussion.

Fuck off yourself with your ass backwards way of thinking.  How about this, "ENTERTAINING TELEVISION"

You brought race into this, not me.

Full disclosure just to please Surawit, I'm multicultured, "White", whatever that means to you, is no doubt a portion of the things that make up me.

Why are so few black Nobel Prize winners?

AlexZ brings up a good question.  Not that his question itself was good, but that this same stupidity in reasoning behind the question could be applied to anything.

WHY ARE SO MANY BLACK PEOPLE NOT WHITE PEOPLE?
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Closed. If you were cool enough you would already be here! on: September 12, 2011, 08:18:45 PM
Edit: After I posted this, the first thread under this was "Why don't black people use Bitcoins?" Which is EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
Dumb shits deserve to post just as much as the smart shits.   Grow up and discuss things.  Or use the ignore user button.  Or use other forums.  Or keep complaining on this forum, but sleep knowing you are now part of the problem unless you want to do something about it.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Don't Black People Use Bitcoins? on: September 12, 2011, 08:15:38 PM
Bitcoin, in a sense, could be viewed as a mechanism for prolonging the economic and social dominance of white males at the expense of everyone else. As we move towards a less racist, less sexist, more egalitarian society... Will bitcoin be a step backwards?
Only if you allow it to be with bullshit old school way of thoughts like this.

I bet you support things holding back society like Black History Month too?

Such a shit thread.     Less racism, less sexism, was already existing in Bitcoin.  Only old school ways of thoughts will keep it from progressing further imo.
824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Don't Black People Use Bitcoins? on: September 12, 2011, 08:12:15 PM
Wow, this has to be the most ass backwards post I have read on Bitcoin.

So let's see, you are worried about either the color of peoples skin and/or the country from which they or their family heritage is from?

Now, you wish these "people of color" as you just called them, to promote Bitcoin for... ?

Diversity?

You wish to continue prejudice and racism to help promote stopping it?

I am really fucking confused, but never have I seen such a racist post on Bitcoin.  Luckily I find it more amusing than insulting, as I'm sure it is just trolling, but whatever, caught me when I was bored, so I replied, so let's continue this discussion.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets get reddit to accept bitcoin for reddit gold. on: September 12, 2011, 08:08:32 PM
I don't promote crippled websites.

I find continued usage of crippled websites a higher form of promotion.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Break In Part 2 on: September 12, 2011, 07:05:48 PM
Magicaltux is lying to you, and he now controls both Bitcointalk and Mtgox.

So... Who said paypal's worse than Bitcoin?

Amazingly, I am awaiting for MagicalTux to just whip out his penis and insert it in my anus over and over again (yes, in and out, not just full motions, he has to pull it out and stuff it in).

Still, Bitcoin wins over Paypal nearly every time.      Sadly this is only because when they stuff my ass, it is more consistent and surprisingly more annoying.  I wish they would just do it in one swoop.

Obviously sorry to read about this DiabloD3, I await to see more details and am sorry that no doubt this will cause others to 'give up' on this particular digital currency.   It is looking like NameCoin might have it's hey day as long as they keep things so technologically wound up where only a Linux user would touch it, thus making it the safest and most valueless digital currency next to SolidCoin.

My problem is with the Bitcoin forums being presented/perceived as the heart of the Bitcoin world, because with the newbie system from that point of view looks like we are making people earn their way into the Bitcoin world which should not be so.

I know this is just your opinion, but I just wanted to let you know how wrong you are.  With how Bitcoin users treat each other in general, how they treat each other when it comes to the future of Bitcoin itself, I think they "let people in" too quick.

In fact, if people here are not pro-more security measures and slowing down the growth of Bitcoin but all about "we need more vendors and make it easier for Grandma to get into Bitcoin", I am going to go with those people need to head back to the newbie section of a hacked forum for round 2, as you didn't learn anything the first time around.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any Bitcoiners want to get in touch on Google plus? on: September 12, 2011, 06:54:29 PM
Love the Google plus Bitcoin user base, a good way to really appreciate some individuals involving themselves with Bitcoin, glad to see this thread keep getting additions and I keep getting random adds and invites when I log into my Gmail.

Proceed with caution regarding new technologies people, check history of the people writing the code for the programs you are putting on electronic devices that you carry with you all day, just be careful Smiley

Bitcoinporn do you run BitcoinMedia.com ? Just was wondering since I've been seeing a it a lot  Grin I like it!

I wouldn't mind running BitcoinMedia.com honestly, but nah, I am just helping out.   Genjix posted a request over on the Bitcoin Forums and my curiosity on Posterious and desire to help out a site I liked has come through is all.  To be honest though, I am still very curious as to specifics on what is going down with the site.  I appreciate the kind words Smiley

Thanks for the detailed info carbonpenguin, I will be looking into the site further when I can and also see if I would have anything worthy to contribute.

I swear I remember a thread like this before.

Seems legit
833  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 12, 2011, 10:44:12 AM
PM'd MrMoon asking if they would like to issue a site press release / announcement via BitcoinMedia.com regarding the site, just as an alternate venue to speak on any site issues or the future, as sometimes it seems like when people try and have good intentions on these forums, they will get shit on no matter what
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica - 15169.57 BTC Traded in the last 24 hours on: September 12, 2011, 10:26:53 AM
Congrats zhoutong.  I posted this http://bitcoinmedia.com/bitcoinica-three-days-passes-tradehill-second, please let me know if there is any information or links you would like to add to that post for anyone interested in your site.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets get reddit to accept bitcoin for reddit gold. on: September 12, 2011, 10:14:31 AM
I wouldn't personally buy a 12 month, but that is because any funds that I have going toward online discussions must be going to SomethingAwful first, then reddit.   I can't say I would 'arrow down' this idea either, it makes little sense to me for most sites not to have a payment system in place taking into account other currencies, or at the least, the one that was made for internet transactions specifically in mind.
836  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 12, 2011, 04:49:45 AM
Fuck, that was a really cool site.  I hope this is false info, I haven't checked into anything. I think I had like the majority of my SolidCoin there (which in reality was near nothing, like 60 or 70 I think lol).  I forget if I transferred a btc to do some gambling the other day Sad
837  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitcoinMedia - promotion ideas and content production. on: September 12, 2011, 04:47:27 AM
What the hell happened to BitcoinMedia, I keep reading things but they all seem to trail off.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Business Review Launched! on: September 12, 2011, 04:43:17 AM
-A "Silk Road for Dummies" type essay that explains to the consumer with limited tech savvy how to go about using that marketplace (Tor, safe postal practices, etc.).

This http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/imoc0/using_silk_road/ is going to be hard to top, but I look forward to a good read.

Also, considering doing something on your site, the compensation seems low, but I am pulling over 1000 page views on just on three things I have put up on BitcoinMedia.com the past couple of days just to help the site out (it has some kind of visible counter too, so you can see a general count), I would not mind continuing writing things if more clear compensation was worked out.   Will you be putting on Google Ads at any point or other pay per click incentive based ads?   I can get eyes on the page and to a site.

He was kicked off the forums for threatening people.

Link please.
