821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Litecoin] only 10% more till activation of SegWit. on: April 04, 2017, 03:08:59 PM
It's now at almost 67%

"385/576 (66.84%) blocks signaling in the past 24 hours! "

If the calculations are correct and with the recent addition of Batpool in the segwit signaling, the % should peak at around 70%'s.

Then it all comes down to a few smaller pools joining in or remaining hashrate being deployed by big pockets.

We are as all time highs in segwit activation, now it's time for some all time highs in price.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Buy Litecoin Inmediately. on: April 04, 2017, 01:11:13 PM
Batpool has joined the game. Segwit will be around 70% now. This means once Batpool's hashing power peaks we'll be sailing around 5% more to go only for segwit activation. At that point, smaller pools should join in. Network effect too strong. Only 5 points remaining is pretty much a done deal. How high it will go? Only one way to find out.

He hasn't sold his house yet  Cry
Yeah, I saw it last week. He said he hadn't sold the house yet, and wanted to see the price of Litecoin drop so he could buy it cheaper. I have not seen the latest videos though, maybe he made some progress on that.

That's unfortunate. If he managed to sell his house, depending on how his house is and I assume it's a modest one, but it would still have delivered some killer gains, at least half a million USD for a decent house.

This is pretty amazing. This guy somehow nailed it and is now 200% up at least. He somehow saw how the simplicity of Litecoin would be it's killer app. Im not sure if he is aware of segwit and he predicted how segwit would fail for Bitcoin and Litecoin had higher chances at getting it activated and moving a lot of capital there, but in any case, this man went all in and he's now making some killer gains.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin orderbook right now looks silly with a big buywall on: April 03, 2017, 10:08:07 PM
Litecoin action with 100m$ Volume is quite nice but at end LTC is just LTC China mined Asic coin with few tousand transactions while  ETH have 90 000+ every day.
Gor LTC getting segwit on is last chance for any GOOD pump ^^
I believe that the litecoin hype will continue as soon as the segwit activation stays at a solid 55-60%. It's just too close to not make people with the intention to sell have second thoughts about some big time miner changing his idea because he wakes up like signaling segwit then you are caught with 0 LTC during the segwit activation and you lose all of your potential gains.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think "iamnotback" really has the" Bitcoin killer"? on: April 03, 2017, 04:00:44 PM
Speaking about reddit, I was checking out the litecoin one and saw this comment:

https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/632yau/i_just_rented_some_hash_to_support_segwit/dfr0x1g/

So according to this guy's calculations it would take around $1million "only". Of course im dreaming to have that in my portfolio but for some other guys with our same interests this is peanuts.
You seem to be in contact with rpietila and (im not sure) MP which seem to be the final boss of whales. Maybe you could contact them and somehow convince them to push the hashrate up to activate segwit, I think we all would benefit. (I think they would agree with seeing segwit on litecoin because of the implications it has for bitcoin, and the speculation part is clear too: if I was able to spend 1million to activate segwit at any time I wanted, I would spend a couple weeks buying LTC low key, then activate it and pretty much have guaranteed gains)

It would also force miners that are being "passive" to show their cards and see if they actively block segwit by adding more hashrate in the opposing camp. Im afraid if this isn't done soon it may get increasingly harder. Of course not sure if they are going to bother with putting 1 million on the line. Just my 2cents.

reddit is very important for a cryptocurrency's community.

Thanks for giving me an opportunity to rant.

I fucking hate Redditardit. Their system is corrupt. I want to replace that piece-of-shit shit with app that runs on our blockchain. Redditardit must die.

I'm serious. Many pieces-of-shit are going to die.

I don't like reddit too but the fact that we dont like reddit is irrelevant since if your coin gets any relevant attention a reddit community will arise anyway, so it might as well have a nice url that ranks well in google.

Btw competing against reddit in this field is like competing against google in internet browsers. If you can outdo bitcoin and reddit then holders of such a token must be rich. Not an easy task tho.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think "iamnotback" really has the" Bitcoin killer"? on: April 03, 2017, 10:57:19 AM
I was going to advice to get bitnet reddit registered but it's already registered:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitnet/

Looks like it was something related to bitcoin but the guy that registered it deleted his account. Maybe is it possible to regain control of this somehow?

829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 210: Cormier vs Johnson Info and Prediction Thread on: April 02, 2017, 05:37:58 PM
There are a lot of unanswered questions revolving around the main event.
Can Anthony Johnson last 5 rounds?
Can he stop Daniel Cormier's takedowns the way Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson did?
Cormier didn't look good when he fought Anderson Silva & hasn't defended his belt since 2015.
There are questions about where Cormier is as well.
Antony Johnson does not need five rounds to win the match, but he will be carefull this time around and i am sure he wont spend all his energy in the first round trying to knock him down and remember that Johnson is a wrestler and this time he has trained especially for Cormier and i am sure it wont be the same this time around and with Cormier injured most of the time and has not fought in a long time and age is not helping him either,it is really hard to predict the condition they are in .

Anthony Johnson is a dead man walking as soon as he makes a mistake and gets taken down by Daniel Cormier. If things go as they should, I think DC is going to be able to dodge AJ's striking for the first couple of rounds. I think it's going to be a bit boring just like the Jon Jones fight. DC fights very slow against good strikers, he will be cautious, wait for the mistake and go to the ground then it's game over.
830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: April 02, 2017, 05:01:09 PM
Somehow managed to get in right at the 710ish I expected, now it all comes down to LTC being able to maintain this uptrend. Fundamentals look good and graph looks good to me too.

All in in LTC. LOL its gonna moon if this guys analysis is accurate. Dash made .12 can LTC do it too?

i think 0.12 for litecoin at this point is a bit far fetched. it doesn't have SegWit yet and there is no other "good news" for it either. if there were we could see something happen but there needs to be some driving force apart from the pumpers pumping.

and so far pumpers pumping are the only force.

The fact that LTC limits itself to be a BTC clone is a feature, and the small differences which make it more realistic to get segwit enabled are what makes it a good candidate to actually get used in transactions along with its "original alt" network effect.

As far as how high it will go.. who knows, but better be holding some LTC for the time being.
831  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: April 02, 2017, 02:31:01 PM
Almost nailed the top again:

Waiting for a little correction to 710ish to get back in. Now that it's confirmed f2pool will maintain his signaling i'll be taking less risks. The graph is showing a nice uptrend already.

We'll maybe see a nice dip at $10 dollars because all the smart people that bought at 1 dollar will be seeing x10 gains, too succulent to not drop some.

@iamnotback your theory of a monolitic bitcoin with a more flexible litecoin makes sense, also Charlie Lee is pro segwit, pro core, pro blockstream etc himself which is good.

The thing is, what about UASF? what if bitcoin enables segwit through UASF anyway?
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: April 01, 2017, 10:28:22 PM
I agree. Floyd Mayweather will win this fight on points. But will it be he beating up Conor McGregor to a pulp? I do not think so. Both fighters are counter punchers and we might not see a lot of action between them.

The title of the news said the word batters. There was nothing that Shawn Porter said that Floyd will batter Conor. How can anyone say that by watching 1 leaked footage.

If in case this fight pushes through, and both fighters eill slig it out, then my money's definitely on connor. Mayweather's technique is based mostly in avoiding being hit. I don't think he can survive if he trades punches with mcgregor though if the fight is going to be pure boxing, i agree that floyd will win on points. I don't think he would even agree to do an mma fight with anyone since his technique can't be applied there

No, Floyd will not slug it out with Connor. If even he slug it out, Connor would have a hard time hitting Floyd clean. Floyd will adjust his game with Connor, but Connor can't. Of course, this will be pure boxing, not a mma because Floyd will be a disadvantage. Connor will try to let this fight not a boring one, but knowing how Floyd's style, this will be a non-exciting fight.

All Floyd got to do is do his usual routine, jab jab jab, shoulder roll, keep a distance using his long reach, find some good angle and throw a right from time to time. The KO would start to show at around round 6 when Connor starts losing his mind as the boxing match becomes endless in front of an elusive Mayweather.

Conor has to be very aggressive in rounds 1 and 2 or else he's done for.
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: f2pool starts signaling segwit for Litecoin. Will LTC enable segwit before BTC? on: April 01, 2017, 10:01:16 PM
Ps: Pic is not photoshopped!

it is photoshopped because the site shows 49.31% Cheesy

but joking aside this April Fool joke and F2Pool is the hot topic of the day today. all over reddit they are talking about this, and it is not clear if they really signaled it or is it like their bitcoin signalling all the proposals at once!!

in any case i hope it is real and others join in too, we only have 25.69% to go.

April fools is already over in China, the joke would be going too far if he switched off now, it would make a lot of people invested in LTC lose a lot of money. Apparently people has invested in scrypt mining gear too. If he pulls out now he's asking to get shot. Those kind of jokes have real life consequences.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC rise up on: April 01, 2017, 02:59:17 PM
We do not yet have any events that may be related to this valuation. But for some investors and developers, it's all seen as support for integrating Segregated Witness (SegWit) - a proposal to upgrade the bitcoin code, though the numbers show an even slow adoption by miners.

Are you serious? how the fuck is it slow? I went to sleep at around 28%, woke up at 50%:

http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

Right now:

Quote
297/576 (51.56%) blocks signaling in the past 24 hours!

And it keeps growing.

At this rate we can see segwit by monday.

Price goes up when segwit support goes up for both btc and ltc.

Im not sure if f2pool is enough to reach 75% and I dont know if the chink will pull off by tomorrow and troll us, let's hope this is serious.
835  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: April 01, 2017, 12:56:22 PM
Managed to sneak some at <60 as expected. Segwit is now at 48%

http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

Assuming the chink it's trolling us with an april-fools only signaling, I don't see why we can't try again for the 0.008 resistance, even 0.01, if we break this convincingly I think we can start talking about an epic pump. Let's see how US wakes up to LTC's segwit at almost 50%
836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: March 31, 2017, 10:52:44 PM
I've set some more conservative buy orders even tho I think a pullback is possible but dont wanna gamble to much.

http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

I think people will be looking at that, once they see it go from 20 to 40 it may trigger FOMO. SatoshiLite tweeted about this already, lets see if more people catch up and we'll see how the market reacts.
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: Speculation Rule: buy when others are irrationally pessimistic or too cautious on: March 31, 2017, 10:14:54 PM
https://www.litecoinpool.org/pools

f2pool looks like it's consistently mining segwit blocks now, hope this is not some april fools joke by those damn chinese.

Anyway it was sweet to see my 75 sell order filled and getting a dip as it failed to go beyond the last resistance, now im totally out of LTC with no loses and all gains. Lets see if I can pick up at <60 without missing the boat.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happened to BU? on: March 31, 2017, 10:06:19 PM
I'm still surprised that BU has more support than segwit after all that has happened the last couple of weeks.
Can anyone explain why miners are apparently against segwit?

Its a massive change that totally rewrites how transactions are done.  With any massive change comes risk and loss of robustness.  It also requires wallets to be rewritten.  It doesn't really provide that much on chain scaling and makes it harder to make future improvements in this area.   It will hard if not impossible to undo later.

Then seagwit is retarded. I am totally against fundementally changing the blockchain and wallets. Bitcoin has proven itself to work just the way it is. Why don't they just increase mining power, in PH, problem solved??
Jonald keeps talking nonsense about segwit for some reason.

Wallets that aren't updated can still recieve regular transactions, also all relevant online wallets are segwit ready so this is a non issue. All relevant software is also segwit ready or in progress:

https://bitcoincore.org/en/segwit_adoption/

Also miners that are pro-BU should explain how they call segwit risky while BU not being risky while trying to keep a straight face.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin rally pops altcoin bubble on: March 31, 2017, 05:54:51 PM
Pick up cheap alts?  What, after they've been inflated past all rational valuations?  Nah, I think it would be a great idea to sell and take your profit off the table now (if you made one).  I definitely wouldn't be buying right now.  Bitcoin maybe, but NOT any altcoins.

Yes, most alts should have been dumped already by hodlers, the rise was unsustainable, but some got smaller pumps such as LTC, which only doubled. I sold half of my LTC and made profits, but i'll keep half of it there to hedge against the risk of a potential 51% BU mining support. I think LTC and ETH are decent bets to profit from such an scenario.

Yes. I wouldn't buy any alts eventhough they are down right now. It might be just a false signal they are sending. And you don't want to be caught on those traders placing shorts, then don't buy it. Still go for bitcoin instead, at least the market price is holding. BU schism is over, no one is dumping bitcoin, they are now holding it.

BUcoiners are an aggressive pack that will not give up easily, and they have monetary resources to cause damage. BU is still averaging 36% hashing rate, segwit is always behind.

It all comes down to Wang from f2pool switching to BU all of a sudden, or Jihan Wu deploying further mining operations to go above 51%. In such an scenario, I predict nothing but a BTC selloff.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Bitcoin rally pops altcoin bubble on: March 31, 2017, 04:03:09 PM
ETH, LTC, DASH... all on the red. Bitcoin pumping to $1100 levels too. People quickly dump alts when bitcoin wakes up, even in this scenario of controversy due ChinaBU hard fork fears. Maybe it's a good time to pick some cheap alts after the rally is over.
