This is a great move IMO. RPG games for example always have some kind of a currency and players have been trading these for real money for decades. It's so popular that some players just play the game to farm "gold" and sell it on ebay. Why not make it simple for them and allow to farm Bitcoin, that they can use to buy in game items, renew subscription or just send to their wallets?
822  Economy / Economics / Re: EUR might drop below USD on: March 11, 2015, 11:41:34 PM
EUR is bleeding out faster than I thought.  It's like free btc.
That's what you get when you start giving it away for free. The Union threw its precious Euro into a number of black holes like Greece and Cyprus and now people are arguing that these countries would be prospering better without it. Soon Britain will be congratulating itself as GBP is doing great compared to EUR.
823  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Holy shit this is creepy. 9/11. Steven Emerson Adviser for the FBI on: March 11, 2015, 12:58:26 AM
Those people who think 9/11 was a conspiracy are retarded.

I always like a nice discussion. If you think everything adds up, even things like NORAD's exercise and steel poles inside WTC towers being cut at an angle you must be the retarded one.
I'd like you to see you counter even half of the facts provided by these "retarded" people, among who we have engineers, who designed WTC and demolition experts, who said it was a controlled explosion.

you guys are free to go to the other sig campaign that accepts a one liner post, your one liner post isnt constructive, it is clearly stated on the rules

and also Snipe85, you are the one who is stupid because there is 8 BTC funds with devthedev that can fully pay for 100 post with all spots occupied

I didn't call anybody stupid, but if you want to shittalk me we can go on and on. Though it seems you lack basic reading comprehension, so I'll save my precious time.
825  Economy / Services / Re: DaDice.com Signature Campaign - The Best Yet! | Upto 1.2 BTC/mth | JOIN THE FUN! on: March 10, 2015, 07:49:08 PM
The spreadsheet clearly specifies the period as Tuesday. and payout on Wednesday. Why wait till the last day?

P.S. Don't make posts for signature campaigns lol. Wink

If you haven't said a day after my enrollment post that we can't be sure if we are in, I would've had a full week to complete my posts.
Oh, and thanks for advice, I'll keep that in mind.

Edit: And now you supposedly can't write posts that fit into a single line  Shocked In defense of Calci I have to say that although his posts fit into a single line, most of them consist of 2 full sentences. I dare you OP to prove that you can't fit a constructive post in a single line. This is starting to get ridiculous. If you have a problem with money and can't pay us all just be honest and don't look for stupid excuses.
826  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Happy International Women's Day on: March 10, 2015, 03:58:45 PM
There is day for everything today, dont you see that its created just to increase peoples spendings with an excuse its something special.
I may seam dumb to some, but i never give gifts on dates they "dictate", if you want to surprise your gf,wife etc. any day is a good day, and u most certanly
dont need to spend money just because its what other people do on that date.

Reminds me alot on that diamond ring comercial that started insane diamond ring *rule when proposing..
Try to surprise your gf on a regular friday, when she doesnt expect it at all, when there is noone pushing you to do something due to some fake tradition,
and tell her- happy friday, heres a rose for you (or something like that), and ull see that she will find it much more appealing than when its expected to happen...
Hope u get my point.

cheers

Hah that's how financial empires were built. Oppenheimers started advertising diamonds, thinking this is what their girls want to get spent all they had on stupid white rocks, a 100 years ago nobody even wanted. You can notice this trend on old paintings or crown jewels, full of rubys emeralds and sapphires.

Hello,
I just want to ask in which date the first week count will end.
Is it today or the next Tuesday?
Sorry if it is stated already.
Thanks!
BR
Gondel

Posts are already being counted. 30% complete atm.
Once counted, it will be forwarded to devthdev who will release the funds.

Thank you Smiley

I think it would be great if you would set a UTC deadline each week whereupon you count all the posts before it in the previous week and all after in the next week.  That would help your posters follow along with respect to their own post count.  For example, I don't know if you've already started counting my posts so its hard to tell whether my posts today will be counted as last week or as next week.  Do you know what I mean by this?

THIS!

I thought the payment was supposed to be tomorrow, which means we had the time till the end of the day TODAY to post. I usually post in the evening, so if you counted my posts a couple hours ago i basically lost a whole day. How can I know what my post count is and which of them will be counted for another period?
What if I write a post now (which is according to the rules still within the first week period)? Will it be paid for this week or moved to another week, or maybe it will disappear into the void?Cheesy
828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best USB drive to store your Bitcoins on: March 10, 2015, 02:54:43 PM
Never gonna use an SD card for this.
How is an SD card worse than a USB drive? They both use the same flash drive technology. You could as well buy a whole SSD drive, but why waste money.
It actually might be a good idea to keep a card hidden somewhere in your wallet. This way you'll have access to money in case of emergency like a house fire. Of course this is an option for people heavily invested in crypto, who don't have much fiat.

It doesn't matter how much crypto or fiat one has, offline storage is the most secure.

How do you encrypt an SD to carry it around with you?   If you lose it, you will probably need to change the keys anyway.. and the chance to lose a wallet is too high..
There are many things you can do to secure the card, one of them is a simple archive with a password. Another is hiding the real file among a number of fake ones. All of these things will buy you time if the card gets stolen.

Nobody forces you to have all your money on that card and yes, you will probably have to move cash from the wallet, but it doesn't seem like much of a problem. The person, who steals your card will still need the password (or passwords, if you use encryption or protected archive) to take your money, while you'll just get home and move it to a new address in less than an hour.

What a nice bear trap that was Smiley How are you feeling? Dumped much?
830  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Holy shit this is creepy. 9/11. Steven Emerson Adviser for the FBI on: March 10, 2015, 02:41:34 AM
This isnt something new, we know all this allready, since it was even shady from start. Just think about it, US has defence system to protect it against blazing fast missles, but they couldnt stop passanger planes ? Has no sence , doesnt it? And the aftermath is even worse, they just go ahead and start a war right after...
Its like robbing a bank and spending money on the very next day on luxury cars..

cheers

You should read about NORAD if you want to know why they didn't react. It was set up, someone scheduled exercise for that day and they weren't ready for a real intervention. They also used a very old radar system and couldn't follow low flying planes. Check this out: http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2006/08/norad200608
What is more the protocols in use at that time didn't even consider using military surface to air missiles against a passenger jet.
831  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money one of the three most important things in your life? on: March 10, 2015, 12:46:59 AM
Yes it is, but most people will say that since we are in a place, where people come to talk about money. It can give you almost anything you can think about, beginning with the basics like food and shelter and ending with a sense of security and accomplishment. Who wouldn't want  that?
3 things you need in life are: health, love and money.
832  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Happy International Women's Day on: March 10, 2015, 12:37:49 AM
When is international men's day? Oh yeah, thats right there is none. They would have you believe every day is men's day. Men build the world around us, but they should be treated as work-mules to be used, exploited, and ground into the earth, never praised, because you know, patriarchy and stuff!

Actually there is, but it's a relatively new thing so you have the right not to know.

833  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Holy shit this is creepy. 9/11. Steven Emerson Adviser for the FBI on: March 10, 2015, 12:31:41 AM
I guess not many people still believe 9.11 was really a terrorist attack. The US government has been caught lying about obvious things like the building 7, pentagon plane crash and faked flight 93 crash.
They put a lot of effort into taking down the towers, but were sloppy everywhere else.
834  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle on: March 10, 2015, 12:17:06 AM
Who the frick even needs an AR-15? To kill people?
Come one, 99/100 country's have a ban on weapons and there is no problem at all, and you Americans are crying and yelling if someone touches those damn things, not to mention the shootouts I regularly hear about on the news here in Europe. Get your shit together and throw those things in a melting oven and build some baking forms/school tables/lampposts out of the metal you get. And in the proces, get rid of those redicilous army bases and 100.000 Abraham tanks and 50.000 AH-64 heli's. You can keep the C-130J's though, they are one of my favorite planes...

I hope this is some pathetic attempt at trolling the thread and not your actual opinion.

It's hard to find a gun ban supporter who has something to back his view besides the usual "guns are for killing, bans are needed because people are stupid and would shoot everyone the moment they'd be allowed to have a gun." I guess we should also ban knives, bows, slingshots and air rifles. Wink

837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When did you get into BTC and why? on: March 09, 2015, 06:28:29 PM
A year ago, when I heard about it from a friend. It was right after the pump and everybody were extremely positive.
Why? Because I was looking for a good investment and rates offered by banks were getting worse every year.

Glad to hear you made it but sorry to hear that dude so does bitcoin set you back around 600 -700 dollars? The rates from the banks are basically non existent better of hiding it under your mattress Smiley

Although i have read that some banks are now giving 4-5% interest annually but i think that is in Australia and the west are still not budging not that i care to be honest.
Sure, I bought some at high prices, but I also bought some low, so I'm still doing better with Bitcoin than I would if I kept it all in the bank. There were some better investment opportunities last year, but let's not be greedy. Smiley
I remember 10 years ago they were giving even 6% a year, now you're lucky if you get 3, at least in Europe. Everything is better nowadays than keeping money in the bank. Metals, jewelry, wine, land, you name it.
838  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: March 09, 2015, 04:47:32 AM
Sell some and party. Cool
Even if it goes to a new ATH I won't sell all, there's always a chance for it to go higher and even at $500 I'll have enough to call it the best investment of my life.

I started slowly buying at around $700 and having been buying more on the way down.

In other words you caught a falling knife.

840  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greece Proposes Using Tourists as Tax Spies to Fill Shortfall... on: March 09, 2015, 01:10:43 AM
Sounds like a good plan. The Greeks need to either do away with the services they can't afford or pay their fucking share of their taxes...you can't refuse to pay taxes and then be pissed that the government has to resort to austerity measures.

Where do I sign up? I'll take a trip to Greece to do some sleuthing on their dime!

No it doesn't! First of all they should cut expenses, then stop promising things they can't possibly accomplish and finally stop reaching into people's pockets to get back what they irresponsibly wasted.
