821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SECRET OF TRADING on: June 26, 2018, 04:31:20 PM
Most tips copy each other Smiley
In 2018, XMR or ETH can grow 2-3 times, it's not interesting.  it's better to look at the sheetcoins, which can grow 5-10 times a day and also fall. But you need to clearly understand why you take a coin and when you sell it. Most people do not understand this. If you have invested for a year, then forget about the coin.
For example
If you bought 100 coins, then for short and medium-term speculation, do not spend more than 70-80% of coins. 10-30% you always hold if there is a pump x10-x100.

The more bitcoin now falls in price, the more large players will be able to enter the market. Time of easy money goes from the crypto-currency market. Maybe it's for the best.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cant boost past 2000mhz on: June 26, 2018, 12:58:14 PM
I also have the same problem on Gigabyte RX580 8gb (Hynix) graphics cards. As soon as the frequency rises more than 2000 mhz, the computer immediately freezes or it happens after a while. To solve the problem spent a lot of time, the reason is not cooling, not in the power supply and other computer components. The main thing is that at a frequency of 2000 mhz video cards work very stably. If you find a solution, be sure to write.

A couple of questions for developers
Do you plan to change the algorithm due to the appearance of Antminer E3?
By default, the blockchain is form on the C drive. How do I make the blockchain form in the same folder as the wallet?

This looks amazing, I hope it all keeps going up and up! We need to make a revolution in music industry and with this site it is possible!

Thanks guys!

Let's open a debate, what do you guys think about a reduction in the block reward in order to drive inflation down?

Do you think current block reward should be adjusted? Do you think the space tends to care about inflation/deflationary coins?

We'll love to hear what you think!
I think it's time to determine the number of coins. An infinite number is not very correct. It is not recommended to reduce the reward for miners, it will greatly affect the network hashrate and its security.  And finally, tell us about POSh  Smiley
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Agilmine - Your REAL altcoin FPGA miner on: June 25, 2018, 04:50:11 PM
Nice introduction.

I await your further elaboration on specs and other use details.

I always knew FPGA devices would be prominent at some point;  but most people don't understand the linearity of a FPGA vs. a common CPU/GPU.

Will the bitstreams be open-source as to allow community additions and enhancements?

Trust me;  if you manufacture and sell the hardware;  people would rather buy it than remanufacture the hardware themselves.  It's a no-brainer.

Encrypting and locking down bitstreams with hard coded fees are a HUGE turn off in my eyes.  Mining was never intended to be that way.

at this point, we are more pro open than close, i would just feel so wrong by forcing a dev fee on the miners, which i really hate personally being a miner myself. but we also need to figure out a way to protect the copy right, these bitfiles worth months of hardwork, it would also be wrong if someone just steal it and use on some cheaper clones..

I don't mind a devfee. I pay JCE CN miner 1,5% devfee and it's normal.
I pay SRB 0,85% devfee and it's normal.
I pay phoenix miner 0,65% devfee.
Up to 2% is reasonnable, especially with "exotic" algos, although I won't pay more than 2% for ETASH.

Is a devfee a problem for you?
People will still find ways how not to pay developers.

The most important is the profit and payback of this equipment. Dev, for example, increase the devfee and reduce the cost.

So ... EOS collected $ 4 billion on ISO and launched its network ... Type now all the Holders are waiting for pamp in a year or two! Cheesy
But Ilon Mask received a contract to launch a secret military satellite with the help of a heavy launch vehicle Falcon Heavy. The cost of the contract is 130 million dollars.
They are going to launch in 2020!  Grin

let's just compare the importance of technology and the benefits to the world.
it's not my idea, but why do the comrades need so much money?

831  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy more? wait till 6000 or 5500? on: June 20, 2018, 10:09:52 PM
Bitcoin can not grow in price. At the current rate, small companies will leave the mining market. The company's cloud mining will lose their customers( HF suspended payments). But as the complexity of the network is growing, then the current course will start problems and large companies such as Bitmain,GMO... Also, in 2020, we are waiting for the half-payment of the reward for the bitcoin block. Therefore, bitcoin can not long cost 6000-7000 dollars, it should grow.
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AML/KYC Explained on: June 20, 2018, 09:44:35 PM
I do not know what they say professors, experts and other assholes about the AML/KYC.
But in darknet now a lot of personal information is sold for 5-10 dollars per package, and wholesale is much cheaper, thanks to ICO. Now scammers are actively using it to get free profits.
Millions of packages of up-to-date personal information. Now on these bots you can draw up any activity.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return on: June 20, 2018, 03:00:38 PM
You write that the GPU is harder to find in shops/online.  It's not true. All retailers and secondary market are overloaded with video cards.
I think that the CryptoNight algorithm has nothing to do with the CPU. If it becomes profitable, there will immediately come a lot of GPUs.
Most coins from 1 post are decentralized digital money. It is based on CryptoNote anonymous technology. It is forks monero or coins with a similar idea and technology. And to mine them on the CPU hoping for a pamp like a game of roulette Cheesy
The only chance to make money on the CPU is to find new coins on algorithms where there is no GPU.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return on: June 20, 2018, 09:51:07 AM
For example

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x ( 800-1000 $)   1525 H/s
AMD Ryzen 1700X   ( 330 $)   725 H/s

is it profitable to make such investments in mining? I think not.
If there is a given processor, you can receive 15-20 dollars of additional income per month. And to buy this processor for the mining is unreasonable.

It's easier to look for cheap old server boards with 2 processors and mine on it.
Yes, I agree, hence the 150 h/s hashing rate I'm promoting here as an average default value for average CPUs, but I wasn't sure what is he looking for.

Some people prefer to switch to CPU mining rather than GPU mining since GPUs were/are hard to find on the market.
If you compare the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x with a 1080ti then the hash rates are kind of the same, the price as well if you're lucky but normally it exceeds that amount.

The issue is you can't buy a 1080ti since it's always out of stock Smiley Not to mention you can use that CPU for other stuff as well.

If you mine a crypto currency with a hashrate  150 h/s, then it does not even pay for electricity costs Smiley
about AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x. I found 3 models on the market

I found 3 models on the market

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16 core (16-Core) CPU with 3.40 GHz
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X 12 core (12-Core) CPU with 3.50 GHz
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1900X 8 core (Octa Core) CPU with 3.80 GHz

These processors have a special TR4 socket. Motherboards for this socket cost $ 400-500. + the cost of a cooler is 40-50 dollars ( 180 W TDP  Smiley )

beauty  Roll Eyes

Therefore, to compare AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950Х and 1080ti for mining is unrealistic.

835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Agilmine - Your REAL altcoin FPGA miner on: June 19, 2018, 02:58:30 PM
I hope you will have an adequate solution for price and performance. The FPGA market is just beginning to develop while there are very few decent and competitive products. As soon as decent solutions appear, large producers of asics will quickly begin to lower prices for their products. I'm even very curious who will win this battle.

On what process technology(nm) do you plan to release your chips for boards?
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return on: June 19, 2018, 02:44:21 PM
Which CPU?
I think I missed your reply to the thread.  Sad

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly. If you're trying to find out which CPU would be best then the Ryzen family of processors from AMD is the best for mining at the moment.
They are also releasing a new CPU which will be by far the the best one for mining: https://www.techradar.com/news/amd-ryzen-threadripper-2nd-generation
For example

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950x ( 800-1000 $)   1525 H/s

837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Owners of GTX 1070, what is your hashrate? on: June 19, 2018, 02:12:49 PM
dunno wtf u guys are doing wrong my buddies at 500 sol/s miming zec with my tweaked 1070.

Temps around 70c
No problems. use this miner
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2021765.0

Core clock: +100-125
Memory:    +400-500
TDP: 75%

480-490 sol/s
If you add TDP, you will receive a larger hashrate. But look at energy consumption.  As a rule, an increase of 10-20 sol/s greatly increases energy consumption

Temps  60-63 c
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Agilmine - Your REAL altcoin FPGA miner on: June 19, 2018, 01:51:37 PM
The last 3 years I have been engaged in mining. I will be glad to test your product.
When do you plan to release a ready-made solution to the market?
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6 and more GPU on Non-Mining Motherboard on: June 19, 2018, 12:59:51 PM
I will say my opinion.
Any adapter complicates the system and reduces its reliability.
Chinese adapters have a lot of marriage. A consequence may be the burnout of the video card or MB connectors.
I have long been in a mining, I communicate with people who have 100-1000 video cards. Everyone prefers to take a ready-made verified solution.
Solve yourself.

By "ready-made verified solution", you meant to go with Mining specific Motherboard right?
No. Now I'll try to explain.
There are a huge number of motherboards that are sold on the market for years and have long been used in mining. For example, H81 Pro BTС, H81 Pro BTC R2.0.
Personally, I think that there should not be more than 6 video cards in the farm (I do not think this is the only right opinion, but my 3 years of experience has shown that this is correct).
Miners usually disperse video cards, and not all work perfectly in this mode. The farm will constantly hang up, the wachdog will constantly reboot the system. After a while we will get broken computer parts. It is very difficult to find a bad video card when there are 8 or more video cards on the farm( there can be several of them Smiley  )

I'm using the GA-970A-DS3P. Everything works in stock mode, you do not need to make any adjustments in the BIOS. 5 video cards are detected without problems.
The processor for it costs 5-6 dollars (AMD x2 240-x2 250). This MB is sold in stores in my city and it is given a 3-year warranty. Also it is very in demand in the secondary market. For incomplete 3 years, not one has not broken out of 20 Motherboard and colleagues have been working for 4 years.
This is what I call a ready-made verified solution.

But most people do not want peace of mind, so they constantly invent a bicycle.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining profitability ASIC vs GPU on: June 19, 2018, 12:27:51 PM
I believe that ASIC mining is more profitable than GPU for now. But if most of the coins become ASIC resistance at the end , where we will sell the ASIC we have used ? which we know that ASIC price is expensive, so i think at the end GPU more profitable, stay waiting time.
Let's go back to the beginning of creating a crypto currency. The main principle was the decentralization of the system. Ie every person could support the network on his computer and get a reward for it. The creation of the asics killed all the principles of decentralization. Now the market is owned by 5-10 largest companies.

Now about the GPU. All the mining of the GPU is still developing thanks to the Ethereum. ETH is mining 10 to 12 million video cards (roughly). If the reward for the block falls to 0.6 ETH for the miners and the asics are released to the market, this will completely kill the GPU mining. Miners will go on other algorithms and profit will reduce to the 0.

Therefore, asics is a threat number 2 for the GPU of mining, the threat number 1 is the transition of ETH to the  POS mining Smiley
