821  Economy / Lending / [CLOSED] 1 BTC Loan for Pyramining Experiment on: April 13, 2013, 12:09:46 AM
I am looking for a 1BTC loan.  I am going to do an experiment with pyramining.  A am going to send 1btc to a new account and address, and see how long it takes to get back, and how much extra is generated.  You get the 1BTC back when It is returned to me, and I ask to keep whatever extra is generated (not the entire sum).  If you have any questions, feel free to PM me!

I will tell you the address to send it to, and the pyramining address in a PM if you accept.

Thanks in advanced!

Note: I cannot you will get the full return, but if not, you can have whatever it generates.
Note 2: This is my first trade, so if you are looking for good rep, I have none.  (But I also have no BAD rep, so.....)

--HeroC

If you want you can still take the loan, but I didn't realize it would take 2 years to get a return.
It will also take more than 2 years to get your principal back.

Here is another one:
I love the way when I tell my friends about bitcoin mining they have no idea what  I am talking about, and give me a blank stare. (And sometimes pretend to know what I am talking about)

831  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What is the best client? on: April 06, 2013, 03:30:31 PM
OK, I made the switch to armory.  But now I have a new problem.  The Bitcoin-QT block chain dl is taking forever.  Since I already have it downloaded by MultiBit, is there a way to import it to Bitcoin-QT?  Thanks for the help!
832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Yes hello you probably hate me on: April 05, 2013, 02:09:31 AM
I'm the guy that brought you this

Awesome. Just awesome. I don't hate you!
833  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multi-Bit Not receiving on: April 05, 2013, 02:02:55 AM
You need to wait for the block chain (little bar at bottom) to finish. It may take a while if this is the first time opening it. Also, sometimes it takes up to a week for transactions to go out, but that is the website. (Make sure you are on a reliable website). You can check online with http://blockchain.info/address/YOUR-ADDRESS-HERE for a more current result. Good luck!
834  Bitcoin / Wallet software / What is the best client? on: April 04, 2013, 09:48:16 PM
I am currently using MultiBit.  I want a change, and am considering Armory.  If there are any other good clients, please list their specifications here.  I appreciate any help/advice you can give!  I want one with a good GUI, advanced features, and can import/export private keys.

Thanks!
835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Apparently instawallet has been hacked / They're shutting down on: April 03, 2013, 11:13:31 PM
Technical Details
www.instawallet.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
  *.bitcoin-central.net , bitcoin-central.net

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

I got this too.
 Undecided

840  Other / Off-topic / How did you find out about Bitcoin? on: March 31, 2013, 09:44:56 PM
Post how you found out about BTC.

For example: 'I was on the Aether mine craft mod's homepage and there was a donate button.'

You can include any other information you want; images, transaction records, links, etc.

I will Put the most bizarre (true) stories here. (In no specific order)

1.
A couple of months ago, I was looking at ebay to look at copper bullion since I collect them as art. I saw one that said "Bitcoin". At first I thought it was a mint, or an alternative bullion currency like Lakota/AOCS. I Googled it and haven't stopped reading since.

2. Good start, but we can do better!
