821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP really better than ETH??? on: November 27, 2018, 03:45:16 PM
When will end these conversations that better. It's the same as asking - what's better? Carrots or cabbage? Two different kinds of coins. Sense to compare there is no

Here I am. It makes no sense to compare - one altcoin is created solely to simplify currency transfers. And the second is still much more complicated technologically.

Technology-technology. Goals-goals. But most importantly-when will growth. Long-term investments are also important.

This is true it is. the State of the ever increasing Ripple generates more profit. so being able to make the Ripple generates many more developments of prices. currently only the price is above the Ripple owned Ethereum as strong evidence of the existence of rapid progress at Ripple.
Ripple depends on the speculation. Remember there was no a clear reason to explain does ripple can be included as a security coin or not. SEC says that bitcoin can't be considered as security and that opens a big chance for ETF to be approved but there was a lot of problems in ripple.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Centralized and Decentralized exchanges? Which one do you prefer? on: November 27, 2018, 03:39:58 PM
Centralized i prefer kucoin and binance.

But decentralized not very good options. I use forkdelta or idex (which is not compeletly decentralized)
forkdelta too low tokens price. And on the stock exchange idex the minimum amount of a transaction is 0.15 ethereum, this is not very convenient when you receive small rewards for bounty.
Both of these exchange sites are still lack of the volume and it will be so difficult to liquidate. But remember the latest case about etherdelta and forkdelta was having the same chance to get subpoena too.
DEX still lack of demand by speculators.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterNode Coins Getting A Bad Reputation on: November 27, 2018, 03:38:14 PM
bump for discussion... maybe the timing was not the best when I first posted.

Interested in your opinions.  Anyone else enthusiastic for the inherent security and stability value of Masternodes?  Anyone genuinely think that masternodes are bad?  Why?
Because most of them are securities. I never seen any coin or token that can't be included as security. Masternode needs a lot of money and that makes those people are staying away from MN.
How much i should pay to become a masternode and does it worth right now?
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elrond - 1000x improvement in scalability on: November 27, 2018, 03:35:55 PM
Elrond is a complete rethinking of public blockchain architecture, solving scalability through adaptive state sharding, efficiency through secure proof of stake, and will enable EVM compliance by design. Elrond attempts to bring a 1000x improvement compared to the current status quo, aiming for 10,000 TPS, low latency, and minimal fees.

Abstract: The advent of secure public blockchains through Bitcoin and later Ethereum, has brought forth a notable degree of interest and capital influx, providing the premise for a global wave of permissionless innovation. Despite lofty promises, creating a decentralized, secure and scalable public blockchain has proved to be a strenuous task. This paper proposes Elrond, a novel architecture which goes beyond state of the art by introducing a genuine state sharding scheme for practical scalability, eliminating energy and computational waste while ensuring distributed fairness through a Secure Proof of Stake (SPoS) consensus. Having a strong focus on security, Elrond’s network is built to ensure resistance to known security problems like Sybil attack, Rogue-key attack, Nothing at Stake attack and others. In an ecosystem that strives for interconnectivity, our solution for smart contracts offers an EVM compliant engine to ensure interoperability by design. Preliminary simulations reflect that Elrond exceeds Visa’s average throughput and achieves an improvement of three orders of magnitude or 1000x compared to the existing viable approaches, while drastically reducing the costs of bootstrapping and storage to ensure long-term sustainability. - https://elrond.com/files/Elrond_Whitepaper_EN.pdf

We've just published our latest version of the paper and are curious to hear some feedback. More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4430681.msg48270875#msg48270875

I'm not even interesting with how fast your platform that being implemented a big improvement on its scalability. But the main problem is it having utility usage? i mean let's focus on the utility rather than scalability. A lot of tokens and platforms are focusing on the scalability rather than make it being compliance with the regulations.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Government does not like crypto? on: November 20, 2018, 08:26:07 PM
Well, of course the government is against it. After all, cryptocurrency is not taxed. If the whole settlement was through cryptocurrency, the government would go bankrupt
Crypto still can be taxed, the fact that crypto is somehow transparent making it easier to be taxed. There's some countries out there that have the logic enough to be able to tax crypto meanwhile the other still get lost in a confusion and ignorance;
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain disappear? on: November 20, 2018, 08:22:43 PM
that DLT is just too complicated to be used by so many people, most of us already familiar with the word blockchain so why bother to use DLT abbrevation which far more complicated than just saying blockchain, even it's the first time I hear that, so I'm not sure that word blockchain will dissapear.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH progress in future? on: November 20, 2018, 03:01:46 PM
Ethereum is the second most popular cryptocurrency project in the world. In the future, developers will greatly improve their platform. The network of the ethereum will be very fast. It is very bad that now the price of a coin is so cheap, but I don’t worry.
Now it's XRP though not ETH anymore but I guess people still have their mind set to ETH arther than XRP. Even right now the ethereum blockchain is kinda fast and it will be even better after development finished.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP really better than ETH??? on: November 20, 2018, 02:59:27 PM
It can't be said that xrp or eth is better, but we need to see which one got more support and transaction volume, xrp is backed by centralised investors and eth is used for smart contract both of them got a different usage, but I prefer in eth because it's a decentralized coin and got more place to used rather than xrp
Kinda true, higher market capital doesn't necessarily mean that the XRP is better than ETH because both of them have its own advantages.
When it comes to market cap it's just the market that decide the whole thing not the uniqueness of that coin.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2018, 06:25:47 AM
Always Good coin has enough propularity so volume is good. If we check coinmarketcap Ethereum volume is 10-20 low form BTC daily volume.
Most of the exchanges uses BTC as base pair that alone contribute majority of total volume in 24 hours whereas there's some exchanges that uses ETH as base pair
but not as much as BTC where it's nearly all over crypto exchanges being used as primary currency.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is better than Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2018, 09:59:24 PM
In some way yeas, vecause it cheaper, but from the other side bitcoin is the best and ethereum developing team should make something new for making price raise
The price required for fee in bitcoin blockchain has now become affordable, it's not that expensive anymore like last year after the implementation of lightning network that in my opinion contribute a lot to reduce the overall traffic so that the blockchain is not that crowded anymore.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The battle between ETH and XRP on: November 19, 2018, 09:55:37 PM
The battle between these projects did not even exist. These are conceptually different projects and the fact that one has approached the other in terms of capitalization means nothing.

It actually means something, what else people would debating about other than the market cap because it's the most important thing here in the crypto community because it's the factor to determine the rank of a coin.
Just get over with the fact that the XRP taking over ETH market cap is really hurting the ETH community.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance CEO Calls on Ripple and XRP Supporters to Convince Him that XRP Is the S on: November 19, 2018, 07:56:12 AM
inappropriate requests and this will trigger another request for altcoin to appear as a pair for every coin. shitcoin/BTC shitcoin/ETH shitcoin/LTC shitcoin/USD shitcoin/EUR like that, because every supporter will insist on making the coin as a pairing  Cheesy Shocked

XRP being a pair does make sense actually since the market capitalization has far surpassed ETH it's up about 3 billion dollars and I hardly think that ETH could surpass it very soon simply because the market of ETH is just too weak, it's just the CEO of binance is testing whether the huge community of XRP will request XRP to be a pair in binance, speaking of business perspective it will potentially bring new client aswell
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If an ICO team is anonymous, is it a scam? on: November 19, 2018, 05:53:11 AM
One of the important things that must be considered when you want to invest in ICO is the validity of information, how we can entrust our money to projects whose team don't want to be published, don't ever invest in ICO whose information is unclear.
Definitely, those people aren't gonna earn trust from the people while they themselves can't even trust the people so why waste time and money into a team that even very doubtful to show their face while that's the most important thing to know who's running the ICO because it doesnt matter how good the idea is if the team is just don't want to show their true identity no one is gonna trust them.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to exchange your altcoins for dollars or btc? on: November 19, 2018, 05:45:46 AM
yes I also think so, but if I hurry to swap the altcoin that I have to BTC, the result will be a little. so I waited for the right time to exchange my altcoin with bitcoin, so that the profits I got could match what I expected.
It's just me or I think that the price to USD or BTC will always be the same since the price always correlate to each other so that there's no one who are going to take the profit from the price margin because everyone have already did so, as a result, exchanging to both is basically the same except the rate of either currency could go up or down after you exchanged your coin.
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dying off? on: November 07, 2018, 07:34:34 PM
I don't think ICO's dying. It's just not the season for ICO, I think it will take some time and the old HYIP will return again. IMHO
You're mistaking ICO with HYIP. ICO is really different with HYIP. meanwhile most of HYIPs are just stupid ponzi and scam ICO is different, it's offering real product just like IPO but using coin rather than stock. If you think that ICO is the same as HYIP then I suggest you to seek for more information and read more about the differences.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is ICO king, Do you agree? on: November 07, 2018, 07:26:26 PM
If Bitcoin is king of cryprocurrency, then Ethereum is the king of all ICOs ,do you agree?  Stella, neo and no other blockchain has hosted ICO than other than Ethereum.

Ethereum is the ICO king because most ICOs developed from it. But the number of ICOs too large also makes the rate of ICO less successful. Other platforms such as NEO still have higher success rates and better quality ICOs.
What a nonsense joke is this, the price of an ICO token heavily rely on whether the project is good or not, the quantity of token exist in the ethereum blockchain have nothing to do with the price. Frankly, if it's proven that ICO token created under NEO blockchain generally worth more than the ERC20 or ERC223 under ethereum blockchain then people could simply switch to the NEO ones but see, that's just nonsense and people already know that.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: November 07, 2018, 07:09:56 PM
That is a good idea, but if you do that you will be very difficult to manage it. Using one wallet is still the best way. As long as you are careful in every action and account security, your computer is safe clean
Using only one wallet is a little risky. If unlucky, we can lose all money. I think we should split out investment into 2 or 3 wallets. It not too much to manage while it is more safety.
Even if its only one wallet if you can max out the security for your wallet for example using hardware wallet then there's nothing to be afraid of.
More interesting if you can use a multile signature for your wallet then it's an ultra safe wallet from hackers
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum fail if Vitalik dies? on: November 07, 2018, 03:32:42 PM
i think ethereum is very strong coin and will grow and grow in the future with the project and ERC20. Vitalik have good team and i think ethereum will not fail if vitalik dies.
Vitalik was created to be decentralized and open source at the very beginning so that means it's expected not to depend on the one person but the entire community to continue developing ethereum to its fulles potential. people are just not realizing that one person can't bring ethereum down.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto legal in your country? on: November 06, 2018, 10:22:02 PM
in my country crypto is not legalized or prohibited by the government, now the government still has not determined the attitude regarding crypto, but the government in my country only prohibits crypto from being used for direct transactions, if it is used for government investment facilities it still approves.
There are still governments that prohibits it's citizen from engaging in crypto but don't stop them from investing. They just warn it's citizen that it is risky to invest in crypto. I hope someday our county will realized the advantage of using the blockchain technology in some of it's transactions as it will speed up the process. Now, they have not adapt it but crypto is not illegal either.
Although blockchain is definitely a different thing to crypto, while talking that making this topic out of context I guess you're living in a 3rd world country.
3rd world country tend to refuse a new technology in term of economy because they are too vulnerable because their market capitalisation is kinda low.
not a wrong thing though if it's for the sake of economy stability.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will humanity stop using cash on: November 06, 2018, 10:18:39 PM
Humanity to stop using cash is not happening. When you talk of adoption of cards only, remember there are people in very remote communities that don't even know what computer and digital world is like. Besides, most people still see card as something only the rich uses and also some will say the fraud in using card is much, they rather stick to cash.
They will eventually catching up with the technology whether it will requires decades for them but they will. The internet access is growing and growing everyday and most of the people wants that, it's not like because they are too late that they will never trying to learn new technology, they want to learn the new technology.
