Year, but thankfully all those devices are operated by lazy idiots.

Watch and learn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVaodJQmnRc

You have to think about all the logistics it would take to keep this kind of thing going as well, this is an empire's wet dream but the fact is, it will never happen the amount it would cost just to deploy those three UAV's would be ridiculous, even if you had competent people planning and operating everything they'd soon realise they'd be in the red extremely quickly even if they had the fuel etc. needed to get the things going where would they park them? And so on and so on.

These guys love to dream about this sort of thing, but it will hardly ever be practical.
8282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if the US Government forced exchanges to close? on: February 07, 2013, 12:31:41 PM
And hilarious, since we know that most politicians and police officers can't even use a computer for things like browsing the internet without help.
8283  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello Everybody on: February 07, 2013, 12:29:33 PM
Hello! I'm Sam! I'd like to purchase some property in Canada!
8284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Members of Congress Introduce Federal Bills to Regulate and Tax Marijuana on: February 07, 2013, 11:56:06 AM
I will only give them kudos when they publicly admit the drugs war was a stupid mistake and a failure, getting a politician to admit they were wrong would be a major victory for ordinary people everywhere, it's like with the financial crisis, we know they're running around trying to find a real solution in the background but they'll never admit it was their printing and massive borrowing/spending that got us in the mess in the first place.
8285  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Community Public Identity on: February 07, 2013, 11:43:43 AM
I think a simple cookie bribe would do wonders and they should have Bitcoin stamped into them Tongue
8286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Washington D.C. to Deploy Giant Defense Blimps. A little fearful aren't we? on: February 06, 2013, 06:15:28 PM
This has to be the most stupid thing they've done so far.
8287  Other / Off-topic / Re: What we've learnt today. on: February 06, 2013, 05:27:19 PM
. Muscle anatomy, I'm actually tired from learning this because there's so much to remember Sad

. Almost completely learned how to make a basic Bezel setting for Jewellery which is a complete pain in the arse but definitely worth it

. Also learned that most open source shopping cart interfaces suck balls because they're all just clones of each other with frills attached, it looks like shelling out some Bitcoins is the best way to go especially if you want one that works with Bitcoin correctly
8288  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anybody recognize this? on: February 05, 2013, 10:47:12 PM
Sounds about right cypherdoc, I think it's fine to have dates and stuff in your head or in your company but never put out a release date unless your product is ready to be released in the first place, that's why they're called release dates >_< people seem to forget that.
8289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally some good press about Bitcoins! Maybe this isnt the end! :) on: February 05, 2013, 10:43:03 PM
I seriously doubt that any politician anywhere is going to take serious action to shut down a method by which they could receive untraceable bribes and kickbacks. They'll make a big scene and emit a lot of hot air but the existence of something like Bitcoin is too useful to get rid of.

Oh I would just love to see a whole news segment about a politician taking bribes in Bitcoin Cheesy
8290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: $100,000 USD challenge: Why Government is important to our lives....really? on: February 05, 2013, 07:35:06 PM
It looks like something a school or university would throw together in a day lol Tongue
8291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin not popular in Japan? on: February 05, 2013, 07:21:27 PM
Maybe it has and we just don't know about it Tongue I need to learn how to read Japanese someday Sad the Japanese seem to be quite localised even on the internet from what I've seen.
8292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is competition healthy for Bitcoin? on: February 05, 2013, 07:09:57 PM
Competing currencies would be the best thing that ever happened to money and world markets, what other way are we going to discover what the best method of exchange is? It's great that they made Bitcoin open source because even if Bitcoin does ever get taken down there will be a bunch of other more improved and updated currencies to use.
8293  Other / Off-topic / Re: TOP 3 WEAPONS TO SURVIVE THE APOCALYPSE on: February 05, 2013, 07:05:03 PM
And youtube violate the uploaders' license by putting up their crap on an uploaders youtube video without their permission.
8294  Other / Off-topic / Re: TOP 3 WEAPONS TO SURVIVE THE APOCALYPSE on: February 05, 2013, 06:39:42 PM
lol Cheesy Brilliant Tongue

Personally, I'd carry a flamethrower and a chainsword Tongue
8295  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Amazon mocking us? Amazon Launches ‘Amazon Coins’ on: February 05, 2013, 06:30:32 PM
Pfft no one's going to be interested in buying this sort of thing, it's a scheme that pay to win games use often, only people with way more money than sense will ever buy into it and ultimately it will shut down or just be dead in the next couple of years.
8296  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Fox News on: February 05, 2013, 02:17:12 PM
It wasn't that bad for Fox I thought actually, the presenter clearly was trying to be the hateful interviewer like usual Fox but he clearly got won over by the pro's of Bitcoin because from what I've seen it really does outweigh the bad stuff, you can't help but like it when you see all the crap you have to put up with when it comes to paper money.
8297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Political Cartoon on: February 05, 2013, 01:21:02 PM
If you're okay with receiving critique, it looks a bit messy and unfinished right now, I can't do handwriting for shit, so if I ever do anything with text I would immediately use the text tool so people can read it clearly because right now I can only just make out some of the words because of the way they're arranged and I don't have bad eyesight either. It's only a cartoon so you obviously don't need to worry about proportions or anything but I'd say the line thickness isn't drawn right because I keep thinking the face isn't a face but some lines and shapes mixed in with the overall objects you're trying to make. Looking at it closer I can see you've done the thickness a bit, but it's too subtle, you'll need to exaggerate it more.

I think you've made the same mistake I made often of putting things for people to look at too damn early Tongue I know it's WIP but you should work on that more so it looks 'almost' finished rather than WIP if that makes any sense because most people aren't going to get it. Also, I do get the cartoon, it was just difficult because of the drawing I think, china is growing out of the U.S economy, Obama is siphoning the money off to bestbuy? ( lol ) and canada is pumping money into the US economy?

While it's not a bad cartoon I can't agree with any of that because it's actually china that's propping up the US economy and the US economy is essentially siphoning off everything else from the rest of the world by trading worthless paper money for everyone's valuables but there you go, freedom of speech.

Does that make any sense? Can you tell what my job is?

8299  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and Deflation of Price and Money Supply on: February 04, 2013, 05:44:42 AM
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/inflation?s=t

noun
1.
Economics . a persistent, substantial rise in the general level of prices related to an increase in the volume of money and resulting in the loss of value of currency ( opposed to deflation ).
2.
the act of inflating.
3.
the state of being inflated.

Dictionary.com does a pretty good job of defining what inflation actually means, I should point out that I suspect a lot of people are following what they learned in school history which is a form of neo-keynesian economics which I of course think is a load of bullshit, people who believe in the neo-keynesian field are often guilty of outright making up words and ignoring mathematics to try and confuse people, look at words like Quantitative Easing as an example.

Be suspicious of everything, question everything.

The only thing that saves us from the bureaucracy is its inefficiency.
