8381  Other / Meta / Re: Bryan Micon...CREEPY STALKER GUY on: January 27, 2013, 04:42:22 AM
Yeah the mods already pulled it.

Mods ate doing a fantastic job. I'm supprised with the amount of bullcrap they've had to put up with recently.

Most community mods I've seen would have caved in to one side with all this bullshit going on so yeah, kudos to them, I've seen a lot of people claim they won't be effected by this sort of thing only to abandon the site awhile later and people like this piss me off because they think they're immune to anything happening to them so they try to abuse the crap out of the internet.

Yes, this may well be a scam, yes, you should warn people about it, but to resort to harassment and stalking which is essentially what this is? Pretty fucking low.
8382  Other / Off-topic / Re: J.J. Abrams will get the Nobel Peace Prize on: January 27, 2013, 04:28:25 AM
This may be heresy, but I've stopped liking either one of those series.

lol it's not heresy, it's common sense, I don't like either of them very much either now, I was never a big fan of Star Trek but I was pretty pissed with the way they butchered Star Wars, the problem is they make these versions of it and completely abandon the original idea and stay in denial if it turns out to be complete bollocks, while it wasn't this guy someone decided that removing base building etc. and good huge battles in Warhammer Dawn of War was a good idea so now I'm reduced to crappy squad battles with sub-par tactics available for use.

What happened to people who pushed the boundaries a bit rather than stick to the same old thing? Look at Starcraft too! They've turned the characters into something rather amusing than the same dark tone it had before.
8383  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Asics are scam nothing will arrive and it will be the end of bitecoin on: January 26, 2013, 11:33:47 AM
.... You do realise when there is a high demand for something and it becomes rare the price rises right? We've also got the ability to break up the Bitcoin too.
8384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NYS wants to confine the "mentally ill" to reduce gun violence on: January 26, 2013, 11:29:49 AM
You need to be mentally ill to live in the US.

And especially so to live in NY.

Honestly? I even think several times about visiting my friends in the U.S, as much as I like my friends there I'm fucking terrified of the xenophobes in the south and the debt dumping pensioners elsewhere, oh and don't get me started on airport security.

The only way I could feel properly safe going to the U.S would be either in a armoured strip miner or a tank.

lol don't know how to link it like you did.
8386  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Petition the government to declare the legal status of Bitcoin? on: January 26, 2013, 07:39:40 AM
Bitcoins aren't reliant on any central authority, that's what's so great about them, exchanges etc. are just convenient, they aren't really necessary.
8387  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The inflation-export trade gambit on: January 25, 2013, 06:19:52 PM
Peter Schiff does an excellent explanation of this argument and the short version of it is is people who argue that inflation is necessary are people who are essentially conning the countries out of their surplus, countries like the U.S have so much debt towards Japan etc. because trade their worthless paper money with Japan for much more valuable goods like for instance electronics. The paper money is debt, so what the Americans are saying is that they'll pay it back later when in reality all that is happening as the time comes to pay off their debts ( This is why the debt ceiling exists and the trade deficit ) they just raise the debt ceiling and print even more to get away with it.

Western countries are basically doing this with every single country out there and amongst themselves, the system just isn't sustainable because a lot of countries are simply trading debt with debt, they don't even have any real goods to offer for the debt, so everything is going to come crashing down no matter how in denial politicians and the central bankers act. China is one of the few economies out there doing well because it makes goods that have value and even Russia is catching on because they don't have a deficit any more which is why it absolutely terrifies me when I've seen these supposed experts telling Russia they should be spending the surplus they got from the oil.

I suppose you could argue that inflation by itself isn't a hugely bad thing but when you use it to postpone your debt payments for as long as possible which is what is happening here, you can see the effects are catastrophic, I see entire continents just filled with nothing, no production and no activity, no one making anything aside from seriously flawed paper work.
8388  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Alex Jones does real issues (gun rights and anti-depressant drugs) a dis-service on: January 25, 2013, 03:09:08 PM
The problem is the guys who jump to defend guns always seem to be the ones who fly off the handle the easiest, it's a shame that there wasn't any sane gun owners out there going on the internet "Look, you're talking bullshit, I've been keeping guns in my house for a good portion of my life and nothing bad has happened" but no, instead we had raving lunatics on either side coming to blows at each other and looking like morons. I think the chance to have any sort of real debate on the issue has been ruined really, at least when it comes to the public stuff, but thankfully on the internet we have real neutrality maybe sometime we'll catch some kick ass debate that puts everyone on television to shame.

It happened once, you know we have a 'youth parliament' here in the UK? ( I know, I know, I don't normally think this but to me it's like something Hitler would invent especially the 'youth' part ) they completely put the ordinary parliament to shame when they had a debate because they didn't just aimlessly scream insults and veiled threats at each other like what normally happens.
8389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: it mining worth it these days? on: January 25, 2013, 12:47:45 AM
I'd honestly recommend saving up and making a Bitcoin business instead, I think there are too many miners in the market now and it's only going to get more difficult for casual or newbie miners to get in and make money.
8390  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could this be the first state to adopt Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2013, 02:59:14 PM
Do you know how useless a currency embargo against Bitcoin would be? It'd be like trying to declare war against every hacker on the internet, while I would hide in the basement I'd still laugh my arse off at the stupidity of the major powers.
8391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEST MINING GRAPHIC CARD AT A CURRENT TIME!!!!??? on: January 24, 2013, 02:23:52 PM
I'm glad there are other people saying this now, don't mine for profit you'll just lose money, Bitcoin and mining should be seen as a new currency and as a way of transferring your wealth from paper money.
8392  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Petition the government to declare the legal status of Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2013, 02:05:26 PM

lol badass, doing more research into electricity generation and found this, all the methods are already being researched, we just have to find a way to keep energy now without wasting it for long term.
8394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why $17? Because this is happening... on: January 23, 2013, 09:25:50 PM
Holy cow! Solar Panels for Bitcoin?! Finally! Now we just need someone to offer wind turbines for those of us who don't have the sunlight Cheesy

More than $114 billion walked out of the biggest United States banks this month, and nobody’s quite sure why.

-Up yor authority by being helpful to others on the forum and endorsing people who already have a high status and credebility here

That sound like to much work, do I have to do all of them  Sad

No no, just grab a fake pic off google of a person in a business suit and write made up profits, that's all you really need to do to scam people.
8396  Economy / Economics / Re: "First step in an effort to bring real fiscal responsibility to Washington" on: January 23, 2013, 09:15:38 PM
I must be getting old, I had a rant all lined up for this situation but the arrogant stupidity is just so much from the people in charge of us I can't be bothered any more, I think just patiently building up a stash of Bitcoins and precious metals is the only real answer.
8397  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bulgarian Politician Attacked With Pepper Spray Gun on: January 23, 2013, 05:01:14 PM
That's about right Dotcom, Ron Paul/Rand Paul disappeared from the Tea Party after awhile and then came along people like Sarah Palin, it's sad that Ron Paul's hijacking attempt by the GOP failed miserably but at least it's shown how utterly corrupt the democratic system is.
8398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can new bitcoins be created on: January 23, 2013, 04:20:57 PM
Don't forget either that Bitcoins can be broken up very easily so you could have prices like 0.0005 in fact I'm already seeing it happen in some cases but the goods clearly look like they're copied or are outright rip offs of the original work.
8399  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coin Addiction on: January 23, 2013, 03:53:25 PM
I don't think stuff like this is really 'addiction' more like you desperately need something else to do with your time Tongue unless you have several thousand Bitcoins in which case you probably need to spend it on something worthwhile that will stop you being bored Tongue
8400  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Appraisal Thread on: January 23, 2013, 01:48:50 PM
LOL don't quote the entire post if you're only putting one line Tongue
