842  Other / Meta / Re: Massive spamming using automatic translator. on: November 05, 2022, 08:00:28 AM
If a user spam too much, bringing it to reputation board can easily let other users to check how the person is posting, to know if the person is actually a spammer or not. I hope you have reported any post he has that are spam, that is why the report to moderator's button is available on each post to report the post. Having a topic like this, reputation board is good for it.

Nah, it's just a burner account. User probably gonna get nuked and return with another one.
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi Needs to Reveal His Identity ? on: November 04, 2022, 03:28:22 PM
How long will we continue discussing Satoshi's identity? If he wants to show himself, he will show it himself. As for society, what will we benefit from if he shows his identity? Bitcoin is designed to be decentralized and therefore the appearance of the first developer will not contribute to strengthening the principle of decentralization.

I hope such topics will stop.

He's been among us all along...

Not all AVs are the same as some people think, the differences between some that are free and those that you have to pay for are significant. A good AV not only has an always-updated database of av definitions, but can also recognize most threats using heuristic detection and quarantine such threats. However, if someone is determined enough to do bad things online, sooner or later they will pick up a virus/malware regardless of all possible protection.

Actually I wanted a cracked version of those AVs so I simply downloaded those cracks from dodgy sites, that's how it went down 😅
845  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need more protection for my PC on: November 04, 2022, 12:07:08 PM
As a W user, I can't say anything bad about this OS, which I've been using through various versions for more than 20 years. Security is always a debatable matter considering that every OS has its own vulnerabilities, so it is always recommended to install every available update, but also to be careful with what we do online.

No matter how careful we are and whether we use a good AV/Firewall, a computer for entertainment should not also be a computer on which we will do something serious related to cryptocurrencies. If we have no choice to separate the two, it is definitely recommended to get a hardware wallet and thus protect yourself from possible malicious threats. Of course, as always, it should be warned that the HW backup is not saved on a computer, e-mail or the cloud, because then we take unnecessary risks.

True that. You can't get infected unless you run those shady apps.

I remembered many years back when I was so fascinated by antiviruses/ antispyware I ended up downloading a Trojan and got my PC infected. The irony.
846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Portable mining - what and how? on: November 04, 2022, 11:42:24 AM
A beginner needs to get acquainted with Chinese miners.
Video cards can be installed in a closed case and most people will not even guess that this is cryptocurrency mining equipment. And if you use not very hot video cards, then the noise will be minimal.

IINM, isn't this the guy that sells GPUs by the kilos?

Don't put all your eggs into one basket. That's the right way to invest.

Properties, especially in strategic locations appreciate over time while Bitcoin is super volatile.
849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most BTC you've spent on something? on: November 03, 2022, 04:45:37 PM

Not all people have purchased Audis and houses lmao. Not all people are rich like that. As I mentioned, I usually pays my internet bill through Bitcoins. And no matter what’s the price of the coin at the moment, I cash out every month to pay these bills. I have spent most BTC at once in 2018, when I wanted to build a gaming PC . I spent around 2000$ USD and at that time it was around 0.5 BTC.

Of course, I didn't mean to refer to everyone here. But definitely there are people living the life with their stash Smiley

He probably didn't saw the post of the winner here on the thread but yeah, it was great to someone share his feeling winning the lambo jackpot prize.

Anyways, I think his opinion is mainly based on his luck on the WOF and unfortunately, he never won big, yet which makes him think that there are no fb users who win those big prized such as 5 golden tickets. I personally only won 1 golden so far and I don't expect to be winning 5 golden tix.

You're right. The discussions move so fast, the post gets pushed back pretty quickly.

There are many. To be honest many user are not very open to their winnings and do not always want to share here on the forum. Though the accounts itself is private they still think it would expose them somehow.
There have been so many winnings such as 200 dollar free roll. That has been published many time by users and I think that’s the highest prize you could get on freebitcoin for “FREE”. I think that’s already win win for forum user to rest of the world user ratio.

Sometime I do feel that every user on freebitocin might be already present on this forum itself. It’s crypto so we never know !

That's the beauty of anonymity Smiley

I think freebitcoin users will never get big prizes like this, I only ever got 5k satoshi in WOF free spins 2 times

Did you forget the recent Lambo winner is a member here? Wink

854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Japanese gambling - tabsai game on: November 02, 2022, 02:49:12 PM
Wikipedia link is broken

<snip>
From your explanation, it looks like a hi-lo dice to me. Any specifics which differs this game from other games?

Is the direct translation of the Japanese word "tabsai" is "sure"? I tried to look for this game but for some reason there are no results showing related to game.

My educated guess would be Sic Bo, although it's Chinese. Played with 3 dice as well

857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Unnecessary Pressure For Merits on: November 02, 2022, 06:23:01 AM
You can't have an extra income from posting in every other online forum. You can't call the administrator an asshole without punishment in every other online forum. Every other online forum doesn't have sixty million written messages in its board. Bitcointalk is different. It has character.

I still don't find the title very relevant.

Actually there's one that's still active which I won't name it. People are rewarded in points to post, which then can be redeemed for online cash or crypto but you can pretty much expect the quality of discussions there.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let me join the Bitcoin Forum on: November 02, 2022, 03:52:04 AM
Yeah, I was particular about the hoDl dude – GameKyuubi. So, I checked his profile and surprisingly discovered that dude was still active here until June. I was surprised because almost all the icons from Bitcoin's early days have long stopped being active here. We need some of them to bring forth the memories of what it used to be with Bitcoin in the past.

Enjoying their yachts, mansions and boats in the sunset.

Or most just moved to Reddit.

I will advise you @UserU to properly make a quote that so on the topic as I got notification from my telegram forum not only to see that you just quoted me and the other member without making any comment or contribution to the discussions.
Just to give you a head up the discussion is still on the user who announces he's big winning from a bet so I will advise you should go back to the front page of this thread to get familiar with the topic.

Dude, I just quoted what OP posted when you mentioned that he'd eventually get back to gambling.

Both are relevant.
