They would all melt, then

Update: I tried it on another PC and it runs, the rig is running a core i5 and the machine I am having an issue with is a Core2 Duo. Going to try it with another PC with an AMD cpu to see if I can isolate the issue.

Another thing to consider, are you downloading to each of the machines? or did you make a copy of the code on the original machine and try it on the others?  IE.  could it be the download that's screwed up?

Sounds like an extraction issue to me, but could be way off

All machines are running wifi: laptop (the machine with wallet issue) and 2 custom desktops (one an i5 and another a AMD Phenom II, both on wireless bridges and both work fine with the wallet). Think it might be an issue with the laptop.

Just for my curiosity I would try making a copy of the qt.exe from the laptop, and try that on one of the other machines.  But thats just me, You don't have to do this....   Smiley

What I did yesterday worked. I just staked in about 3 minutes. So every 3 days I'm going to move my coins to a new address, otherwise you won't get near the 5000% Interest.

How long did "day 5" take, yesterday it took 2.5 hours for 8 POS transactions to happen. I sent all my coins to a new address(fee was 12.8 BALLS) yesterday, otherwise I would have 16 POS transactions today and a even higher fee to move the coins.

Day 5 and the stakes are still splitting.  Started with 3 stakes on day1 now up to 48 (maybe) today day 5.  I think the coin age is reset after each stake, so they're never reaching 2 days old.  Which I'm assuming means they will never reach 30 days old.

I understand where your coming from, but the stake value(interest) continue to accumulate till the coins get staked.  So the coins that staked in 24 hr. got x coins the ones that took longer got x+ a little.  So the reward (stake value, interest) is calculated at stake time, not start of stake.  By combining the coins, your decreasing the stake contention, and making your stakes more predictable.  But for that your losing the transaction fee.

I believe the current concept will eventually even out, and actually help make sure folks keep there wallets staking, thus keeping the network more robust.   I know I closed my wallet when I knew nothing could stake for another 18 hours.

Anyone care to help me with the issue of the Windows wallet not working at all? It doesn't even execute at all when I try to start it. Any help would be gladly appreciated....

Tried restarting the computer?
This helped someone else yesterday.
I personally havent had an issue with the wallet.

Did that several times and downloaded the wallet multiple times also. Still it doesn't run at all.

What version of windows?  Have you tried opening a command prompt, going to your wallet directory ("CD xxx" command), and entering the wallet program name there, thus starting it?  If it's something windows doesn't like it should spit out some messages to the console to help figure out the problem.

It's still going.  That's why I said maybe. Smiley   I still have staking going on now that is about 4 hours since eligible.  Plus I'll have another  2 start in 2 hours.

Coin control would help some, but with all of the coins coming off the exchanges and into wallets and then splitting, staking is going to get longer and longer.

So I guess I just answered my previous question, splitting will stop once it take longer then 2 days to stake.  Bigger blocks will stake faster and get split, small blocks will eventually take longer then 2 days and should stay the same size + the stake.  This may actually work to govern the staking.   But eventually the quick staking will just be a happy memory...

This situation is really funny. People are waiting for the dev as his is jesus and when he is comming all is going to be good again. Grin

The concept is good but the lack of support is bad. The dev is supposed to be a working guy that just can do programming in weekends. His company dont like virtuell coins so he wants to be anonymous. One guy called me stupid and he claimed he is a lawyer.  Tongue

I have been doing a lot of things, including programming. A simple bot for the wallet would just take 2 days. A advanced bot can take 4-6 month to make. if you want a bugfree program. The richlist is not working and the dev is not taking care of the coin. With some PR the investors would stay, now they are leaving. No sign of life from the dev.

If the dev can make a bot it would be better if he used a existing coin to use for it, but he maked a new coin wjich he dont take care of. Its easy to jump online and say hello. Its easy to use another person to take care of the PR.

Its funny because if the dev comes online people will say im fudding.  Grin To many absuses that word. Some people will not like what im writing but its the truth. This coins value is 0. Only if the dev commes online it have a value.

I liked the distribution and how the coin was using the POS concept. But if the blockchain gets stuck or something else happens, there is no dev to take care of it and all falls down.
He maybe comes to life today or another day but that dont make this better. Buying this coin is risky.

I like this coin but its not taken care of. Some people have invested and sold out. They have lost money.

Agreed, I'm out now, lost my faith and 0.2btc, my own fault as it was already showing signs of abandoned dev when i got in, so only have myself to blame.

Good luck anyone still stuck in, but i've now removed this from my read daily threads

LOL, that's all your faults, right? You don't believe in someone, so you don't have the right to blame them. MCL's dev is a special one.

Unfortunately you really do have to go with your gut on these things.  You would have been right 99 times out of 100 with all of the scammy alt coins out there.  I got involved from day 1 or 2.  I watched as the dev had problems with the faucet and had to modify code on the fly.   He was around that whole time maybe he got a few hour sleep at some point.  He's never made grand plans that would never happen, and he never made promises he couldn't keep.  So far he's one of the better devs I've seen.  Rates in the top 10.  He said he would provide a bot, and he did.

That said I don't blame anyone that tries to follow every new coin, and felt this one was falling into the abyss.  But maybe now that people see some progress they can cut him a little slack and buy back into the coin.  Still cheap.

I would also suggest for the next bot, (Buy bot?), he add a check to make sure the wallet has X number of coins to use the bot.  x could be 100 200 500 whatever he feels is a good amount to help improve the stability of the coin.

When do y'all think he'll be done with 2nd payments?

This payment process takes a long, long time. I wouldn't put a timeframe on it...but it has been somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-6 weeks between payments, for me.

I haven't even got a FIRST payment, let alone a second. Only posted, oh about 40 pages back.

BTCArbs username - blingbling
Amount missing - 1.2 BTC
Only had made .2 in interest, never harassed him, only asked for the 1BTC back. Likewise never got one post, mention or reply, sent PM and posted here.

BTC Address: 13gZsFdxiL1NXEbaGkLAvXQEXKSbLWcGQA

Then you really need to PM him again.  He's responded to almost everyone that had a valid debt.  You really need to provide all of the info in your PM.  He tends to only work from those.

The only problem with this coin (and most other coins) is, you have to find something to use them for...  BTC is accepted by merchants (on both the light and dark side).  All that happens with ALTs is that they get sold for BTC.  I have see pie in the sky promises by DEVs, that there will be marketplaces for their coins.  Nope, none there.  Until there are places to spend ALTs, it bill always be the speculation game, drive the price down, buy, hype the shit out of so more dummies will buy, dump.

Even the MCL that was collected for Cryptoforkids.com get exchanged for BTC, then converted to USD.  Why?  Because there is nothing a charity can do with ALTs other than convert them to USD!!!

All in all, MCL has had the fairest launch and distribution of any coin in a long time, the DEV is not trying to scam anyone out of BTC, there is no premine to dump.  BUT, that all being said, what is there to do with the coins after you get them?

I agree with you 100%.  And MCL is currently not worth much.  The long range plan, (at least this is what I get from the announcement) is to have a trading bot market place, and a platform for trade bots.  My interpretation of this is (and the dev is free to use it), he provides a platform for other developers to use to provide bots to the market place.  People can then purchase these bot's, (using MCL?) for their use.  Of course he would need to have a payment system build in.

So basically everyone is running DOS in a terminal session, and his vision is to have MCL provide a window for BOT programmers to code to.  Sounds like MCL could be the next Microsoft....  Smiley

The next Microsoft, well that will fuck everything up!!  Cheesy

I knew it as soon as I typed it.....   Cheesy

I am not very high tech with wallets..Can someone give me the complete instructions on how to sync the wallet to stake the coins please? Smiley..It's time even women like me grow some balls.  Grin Grin

Deposit to wallet, keep the client running, and in 24 hours you'll be staking more balls than you know what to do with  Kiss

Yeah about time this girl grew some balls.. Just bought my first ones POLO..Can I keep adding to them will they stake after 24 hours too if I add new balls?

Yup, keep adding them.  Just watch out for the transfer fee.  So make sure you have as many as your planning to get for the day, before you send them to your wallet.

Hi guys,
I am happy to announce that the first trading bot is ready. It took me quite a while to code this sellbot. I apologize for not being able to accurately predict the time needed to develop it. Github and windows wallets have been updated. Here are the steps how to use the trading bot:

Steps in using the trading bot:
1.   Go to Settings -> Options -> Bots tab
2.   Enter your API Key and Secret that you can get from Bittrex website (Go to Settings -> API Keys) and save settings
3.   Go to Bots tab and choose which coin you would like to sell
4.   Choose “Total sell limit (BTC)”, i.e. total amount of coins in BTC that you would like to sell
5.   Choose “Set a sell order limit (BTC)”, i.e. the size of each individual sell order
6.   Choose % of deviation between individual sell orders
7.   Click “Trade” button

Sellbot is doing the following – bot is putting a sell order that is 1 satoshi lower than the existent lowest sell order. If someone is putting a sell order below sellbot’s sell order, sellbot is cancelling its sell order and puts another sell order that is 1 satoshi lower than the existent lowest sell order. If sellbot’s sell order has been fulfilled sellbot is putting new sell order that is 1 satoshi lower than the fulfilled order. This process continues until “Total sell limit (BTC)” has been reached.

Investors have been dumping and I dont trust your bot. You should have taken better care of this coin.
I cannot control investor sentiment. I understand that people demand daily updates, however I cannot produce these updates on a daily basis. You can check the code on github and you will see how much new lines of code have been added.

If anyone cares about the trading bot and finds some bugs please let me know by writing an issue on github.

Good Job,  I'll be checking out the code today.  And you came in under my estimate.  I figured end of Nov.  Don't worry about the nay sayers.  I really think your doing a good job with this one.  You've laid out your plan for the coin.  You've explained your time constraints.  If people can't understand that, or that doesn't fit in their plans, oh well.  Keep up the good work, and don't let others opinions influence you.

Hoping to see the Bot market place in the near future.    Thanks

I only gave up when I saw no log in since the 28th, but glad to be wrong.  He should be able to make a buy bot in no time too, as of course its the exact same code but just running in reverse.  Hopefully we get that soon.

I should think so.  The tough part for this bot is done.  People think this is SO easy, should have been done in a day.  First he has all of the GUI interface stuff to get the input's,  Then he has the back end API/CURL stuff to work on.   I've written a trade bot, only took a couple of days (1-2 hour) to connect and pull data from the exchange, but I've been tweeking it for the last 6 months.  Just wait till the exchange starts sending invalid data back, or caching data.  It can be fun trying to program around stuff...

Hi i am new here, i believe this coin has great potential. i have 2 questions. i got my balls in my wallet  Wink for 24 hours now but wallet was not online all the time and it has not yet staked. i am at 25 hours now. for my first stake to occur the wallet needs to be online 24 hours the first time? and generally speaking the wallet needs to be online 24/7 365 to stake correctly?

No, But now you must be online to actually stake.  The time is based on the transaction time.  So once the coins are in your wallet, you can be offline as they mature, and then go online to actually stake.

So now that you are close, leave it online and get some balls.

ouch, guess i wont be mining on coinking afterall  Undecided

currently mining : LTC
Last LTC Block Found : 1 week ago
coinking LTC pool : 14.12 MH/s
that means they are still looking to find a block and thus not currently mining LTC right?
which would pretty much be wasted electricity for nothing.
correct me if i'm wrong

They're mining LTC, They just haven't found one in over a week.
860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Snowballs | Do you have the BALLS for 5000% PoS!? | 5000% Staking is LIVE! on: November 05, 2014, 05:57:40 PM
On the 1st day of POS I had 1 "mint by stake" transaction. On the 2nd day 2 and today 4. By the 8th day based on this pattern there could be 256 "mint by stake" transactions. Isn't this going to be a problem?

Your wallet is staking the stake from the day before..

We definitely won't hit 500% by end of year.. I just moved some coins to the exchange yesterday and even with the same amount of coins in my wallet, I only got around 1/2 the amount of coins when my wallet staked for the second time.

Quite possibly it stakes again a second time, I won't move any coins around and see what happens.

At least this coins doing something interesting.

Since there is no coin control you can't actually look at what is staking.  But based on what I've seen I think once you stake it gets split into 2 piles that have there time reset to zero.  24 Hours later you have 2 Stakes that also get split.  Since the split seems to be 50/50 that leads me to believe the time is reset each time you stake.

So then I wonder what is the 30 day cap for?  I was under the assumption when you staked the original pile would remain at some age, and the new pile would start at 0.   But that would require knowing the original pile already staked at x time, and is invalid till X+24 hrs. and at 30 days they would no longer stake.   At least that's what the voices in my head we're telling me....   Plus I believe I read somewhere that was for emission control.
