841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Experience for new and old gambler? on: September 18, 2023, 05:47:45 AM
It all depends on each individual person's circumstances, because all of us are different. The one person might live within walking distance from his local "brick n mortar" casino and he or she might pass it every day. (The temptation might be more, if the casino are easily accessible)

On the other hand, most people are walking around with their phone and most online casinos are accessible via their mobile phone, so every time they look at their phone, they might be tempted to gamble.  Tongue

842  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: September 18, 2023, 05:41:23 AM
I think we all know, once they respond the monthly could be drop. Anyone of you think monthly gonna to be share on date 15 or date 21 ?
Maybe Stake team will give the monthly bonus on the 19th September. 19th September is the first match day of the Champions league new season. I guess they will send it before the start of the UCL. Stake team is indeed creating hype on twitter with the word 'wen monthly'. Monthly will be on 21st September if they don't give it on UCL day.

I think Eddie explained it, when he said that there usually have to be a month between the time that the monthly was paid and when it will be paid again. I think the last monthly was on the 22th of August and there was 31 days in August... so the monthly might be dropped on the 21st of September this time.  Huh

In any way, they paid a pre-monthly ....which should be enough to tie people over to the monthly, even if it is a bit late. I think people should just relax and forget about the #freemonthly that Eddie promised, that was just for show.  Roll Eyes

843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency beats having faits at every point on: September 18, 2023, 05:31:28 AM
Well, if you think you are "free from taxes" then you are wrong.... because the government will eventually figure out what you are doing and they will throw you in jail or give you a hefty fine.

The fact that Crypto currencies are banned in your country, makes this even worse for you, because you are not just breaking one law... but also the law that prohibit Bitcoin ownership.  Roll Eyes
844  Economy / Economics / Re: Tim Gurner wants Unemployment to increase. Employers have lost their power. on: September 17, 2023, 12:23:16 PM
Well, people like Tim Gurner should be brought back to earth in a hard way.... because his attitude towards human beings suck. Your employees are not supposed to be subservient slaves, like they were in 3500 BC.... because we as humans evolved... and we now appreciate the people that put bread on your table.  Roll Eyes

I hate arrogant rich pricks like him, because they think money make them special... and that their money allow them to handle other people like second grade humans.  Angry
845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Difference Between Plying Gambling on Online Sites and Real Casinos? on: September 17, 2023, 12:14:11 PM
You are really not missing out on anything, because "brick n mortar" casinos are over rated. Hollywood and the movie industry are painting a nice picture of those casinos, with you only seeing the good side....  Roll Eyes

The real things are quite pathetic.... because people sit in front of those slot machines like greedy zombies. You have to constantly compete to play on your favorite games, because there are only a limited amount of the same types of games.

There are not happy faces and people constantly winning jackpots...  Roll Eyes .... most people leave those casinos with dropped shoulders, because the majority of them lose a lot of money.  Sad
846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: September 17, 2023, 11:55:20 AM
In my country we pay "Capital Gains" taxes on all the bitcoins that we converted into fiat... and for that, there are paper work that can trace that conversion. You only need to declare the origin of the money, if you get audited... and then things gets interresting.. because a lot of the smaller casinos do not keep records of your gambling activities.

They actually keep record of all withdrawals and all deposits, so it is easy to see what you profits were, when you minus the withdrawals from the deposits that you made within the tax period. (Most people do not make a profit.)  Tongue
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: September 17, 2023, 11:48:41 AM
Well, knowing how to differentiate between Bitcoin (BTC) and other tokens that are similar in name, like Bitcoin Cash (trash) are one step in the right direction. I have heard about several people who have bought bitcoins at a supposed "bargain" price... only to find out that they have bought Bitcoin Cash.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Also, people say they are buying bitcoins, when they are actually buying into some Ponzi scheme that are using Bitcoin as a payment option. So knowledge will help you not to make those mistakes.  Tongue
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hacker Attack Landbase Casino Caesar’s & MGM (LasVegas) on: September 16, 2023, 12:11:33 PM
I once saw "maintenance" being done on a few Slot machines and there are definitely some kind of network access between these machines. I think 3rd party service providers can access them remotely to update firmware or to run software updates.

I also had a friend that accepted employment with a casino group in their IT section and he is a Network specialist, so they have some network running there.. but he is not allowed to speak about that. (It might be for the CCTV and payroll system and email etc... I dunno, because he is not sharing)  Tongue
849  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet hacked? on: September 16, 2023, 12:03:33 PM
The Curacao gambling license has nothing to do with the security that are implemented on the site. You know Stake.com has recently lost $40 000 000 due to them being hacked by a North Korean hacking group, but none of the gamblers wallets were compromised.

These hacks are government sanctioned hacks and most of these smaller sites are vulnerable against it, because all of them use hot wallets. The Curacao gambling license will not cover people if the casino gets hacked.  Roll Eyes
850  Economy / Economics / Re: Economics is not fulfilling its true potential as a science on: September 16, 2023, 11:42:03 AM
Why would Banks worry over someone else's money? The deposits are not their money.... so they can be reckless with their lending practices. We saw what happened with the fractional reserve banking in the previous crisis... Banks simply created "money" out of thin air and they gave loans to people that were not able to pay it back.

The governments look the other way, because they use tax payers money to bail out the Banks when they f@#$k up. The CEO's and managers got bonuses for the way that they supposedly "saved"  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes the Banks.
851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: September 16, 2023, 11:33:39 AM
The best thing to do is to create some kind of riddle and something that only your family will be able to solve. This riddle will reveal to whomever are left behind, where you left your pass phrase.

You can even write it down and split it into pieces and then give the different pieces to the different family members to put together when you are gone. So, without the other pieces.. not one of them will be able to put it together.  Wink
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what are the reputable casino with vault feature? on: September 15, 2023, 06:45:11 AM
In my opinion .... having a Vault is not for security reasons. Take the Stake.com feature for example.... if you fall for some Phishing attack and you account password are compromised, then you Vault are also compromised... because it asks for the same password to move the funds. (The 2FA are protecting your balance.... not the Vault)

The Vault function are valuable, if you use automatic betting... and you do not want to lose your whole balance on a typo or a wrong script (bot) entry.  (Let's say you used some bot and something goes wrong and it eats your whole balance)

These sites should actually give another password for the Vault to make it more secure.  Wink
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: September 15, 2023, 06:34:58 AM
In my opinion most VIP programs require you to spend money to get less money.. but it keeps you coming back for more. Take Stake.com for example.... if you do not gamble, your base amount for the Weekly & Monthly bonuses are reduced. So even if you are getting say $25 per week from the VIP rewards... you have to gamble more than that to get the bonuses.

Now, let's say you have 3 accounts at different casinos .... then the amount of money that you need to wager are tripled.... so you are going to spend a lot more .. than what you would have been spending at one casino. (I will much rather grow one account and get much higher rewards... than having 3 x lower ranked accounts)  Wink
854  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-09-08] BTC ETF: The quiet 800-pound gorilla in the room is about to roar on: September 15, 2023, 06:15:01 AM
The thing is.... do we want Institutional capital to enter Bitcoin and dominate the ownership of coins ...or do we want an more even distribution of coins to millions of people?

The Institutional Fiat rich investors will turn into Bitcoins whales and they will use those coins to manipulate the price.... they will dump large amounts of coins, which will cause huge price fluctuations and this will create too much price volatility for retail and businesses to use it as a Currency.

I vote for mass adoption of millions of individuals.... and not just a few institutions with the investment capital of a small group of super rich people.  Roll Eyes

It will never be a  working currency. the fee structures are wrong.

the shrinking reward system will alway create upwards price pressures.

The scrypt algo using LTC / Doge is far better to use for circulation currency.

BTC would have need to slow blocks and make ½ ings every 8 years then have lightning network for smaller transactions.

It has already failed as a universal payment system. it is  still good for larger money moves

Well, based on your argument... ETFs are 100% suited for Bitcoin then, because it will not be used as a currency ....but rather as some kind of commodity ....so all of those points you made are void.  Roll Eyes

The thing is.... side-chain solutions are targeting the payment (currency) side of things, so it has to be pulled into the fold of use cases for Bitcoin and how affective it is.

LTC / Doge still need to reach the level, where Bitcoin are now... to really see if it is robust enough to handle the pressure. (They should shift useless things like Ordinals to other Alt coins to elevate the burden on the BTC Blockchain ..... and have BTC and Alt coins work together)   Tongue
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I took a proposal to my State Governor to accept Bitcoin Technology on: September 15, 2023, 06:05:01 AM
You took a bold step to approach the government (Governor) with a proposal like this.. and that needs to be applauded, but government officials around the world, needs some kind of motivation to implement suggestions like this.

What do you think, will be the motivation for the Governor to implement this in Niger? (They always look for something, where they can benefit) Is there enough demand from his voters to ask for something like this?
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be rich sheeple or free people, what's your choice? on: September 15, 2023, 05:27:47 AM
Inflation will kill Bitcoin, if the price stay at $30 000.....  Roll Eyes

In 10 years from now, $30 000 will buy you much less than what it is buying you now.... because Inflation kills Fiat currencies over time. So even if you are FREE ... you will lose in the end, because your Bitcoin's buying power will decrease into something that will almost be worthless.

We want to be FREE but Supply & Demand must work for the Bitcoins to be worth something and to use it as a currency. (It does not need to be valued against Fiat currencies.. but markets for Supply & Demand.. must still be there)  Wink
857  Economy / Economics / Re: If the global economy collapses what's the first thing you do? on: September 14, 2023, 06:58:00 AM
I have shifted a lot of my wealth into Bitcoin to prepare for a global economic collapse, but I am a bit of a "Preppie" and we are crazy. I am one of those people who see the Ukraine vs Russia war as a preparation for a full-scale war between BRICS and the "West" .... but that is only my opinion.

Why are North Korea visiting Russia? What happens if Russia is unsuccessful with the Ukraine war? These countries are using the Ukraine War as a testing ground for full-scale war.

I have also bought some "goods" that are popular to trade with, if something might happen in the future. Let's pray that I am wrong.  Sad
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Australia will ban Gambling through credit cards on: September 14, 2023, 06:48:40 AM
This does not make sense at all...... "Credit cards" are debt..... and Crypto currencies are not debt. Why are they not banning "PayPal" or other methods that are used to gamble?

Yes, I agree that nobody should be gambling with money that they do not have, but if you bought something like Crypto with you money.. why should you not be allowed to use it? (I personally feel it has more to do with the taxes and also capital control measures that are bypassed, when you use Crypto currencies)  Roll Eyes
859  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 14, 2023, 06:42:53 AM
Just imagine if that was a "White hat" hacker and if he bet on the 2x and he doubled his money and left it there...  Tongue  Well, you cannot be a White hat, if you risk someone else's money, but it would have been nice.  Wink

It is actually sad that Stake employees are not taking this seriously .... it is not funny for the victim of such a hack... and losing that amount of money.

It is also weird that the IP address of the hacker are not supplied to you.... it might have helped you to investigate this on your own.
860  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crashgambler.io - Your Ultimate Crash Gambling Guide - Tournaments & Reviews on: September 14, 2023, 06:16:56 AM
Well, you get points for doing something original in my books.... adding some extra enjoyment to a game that can be frustrating at times. I always say there are some kind of AI behind these Crash games.... because it will anticipate your strategies. (obviously this is not true.. I know it works on a Client & Server seed + RNG ...etc)

This is also a very innovative way to increase income for the casino, because people will stay in longer for every bet to win the prize. The income from the affiliates will most probably fund this for you guys?
