841  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's all about monthly low and monthly high my limit orders btc on: August 18, 2023, 04:30:05 AM
It's all about monthly low and monthly high market priced in that way.

My btc orders just for this month buy 27500$ and  28100$
Sell order: 29800$ and 30100$      next month different monthly low/high prices.

I have seen this type of trading strategy being used by some traders where they mark the chart as weekly open and weekly close. And they think the next week's market will sweep both the weekly highs and lows. Some traders mark the Monday High and the Monday Low and they think the market will grab the liquidity set on the first days of the week for the trading markets.

Similarly, you are playing with last month's high and low, which I think can be used as one of the confluences to take the trade along with many other measures of course. You cannot just use this to always trade as this is also not a 100% accurate way to place your trades.
842  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Failed to submit review and also did not refund the payment. on: August 17, 2023, 05:00:18 PM
I thought he might not be active on the forum recently but then I saw he was last active on August 05. He should have returned this amount if he could not review it or maybe he did not understand the Mixin safe project but whatever was the reason he should have been in communication with the manager.

To be honest, I had the slightest of hope, very little indeed, that he is offline on the forum and when he comes back he may either apologize, ask for an extension to submit the review or maybe submit the review as soon as he is online.

However, to my disappointment, nothing of this happened. I checked and he was online on August 16.

He did not even care to reply whatsoever on the situation. Perhaps he already knew the outcome and he had made up his mind that he will ruin his account for 90$.
843  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Trade on Binance via ChatGPT! on: August 17, 2023, 04:38:42 PM
With Trading Operator, you can seamlessly navigate the Binance markets, execute trades, and manage positions using natural language commands. Imagine asking questions like "What's the current price of Bitcoin?" or placing orders by saying "Buy 10 ETH at $1500".

Are we too lazy to see the price of Bitcoin ourselves or do we really need to ask the OPEN AI to buy us 10 eth and we cannot buy it ourselves by placing the orders? Will it be safe to give access to our Binance account to your open AI through APIs?

You and everyone needs to understand that the main purpose of AI is not to make us lazy  Wink

I can see the main motive to start this service is to get some money from innocent traders and fool them by using the hype word "ChatGPT"

844  Other / Meta / Re: Privacy Concerns, Can Administrators and Mods Access Personal Messages? on: August 17, 2023, 04:05:31 PM
What informations do you really have to convey through PM's that doesn't warranty the admin's solicitude?? BTC deals that the forum doesn't have? Ponzis that nobody has never heard of?? Sexuality and sensitivity?? Except these PM's are really concrete for encryptions, but then i see nothing wrong with that.
Theymos won't make users anonymity so discreet that he ain't got no details about it... afterall he controls the site itself...

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

Well, intelligent people may think out of the box and you never know some people might send the private key to themselves thinking that it is the safest place as no one can access the PM. Wink  or more generous ones may send the private key or seed phrases to their friends through PM to keep them save. We just can't image what people's use cases for the PM.

No one realizes that once you upload, write or store anything on the internet, whether it's a personal email message or a personal drive, nothing is secure and private. The centralized company providing the services have access to each and everything that is stored on their servers.
845  Other / Meta / Re: Forum being abuse? on: August 17, 2023, 03:24:31 PM
There's a user @mumu68 that recently have an issue against one of the casino. He submitted screenshots and evidence about his issue that is really valid. Later on, his case developed and the real issue arise when the casino gave their opinion. In the end, The casino pays the user using their own money despite the red flag suggested to them by 3rd party risk management since the user keeps pressuring them through negative attacks to their brand.

I haven't read this case in depth, but my point of view is that if a person is claiming a false scam accusation against any casino, it should be a no concern for the casino and they should not become under any pressure. A gambler who is saying wrongly about any casino won't be able to produce valid evidence against the casino while the casino must be able to produce some pieces of evidence which will prove that the scammer is speaking false.

Thinking about it, I see it is unreasonable to have such restrictions, like newbies are not allowed to post in gambling board or Scam accusation board. It does not make any sense as if I can bet, I have rights to post, complain and create a scam accusation thread.

Also, not all the newbies speak falsely about the casino, some have real concerns, and we just cannot treat everyone the same like disallowing the newbies in certain boards or sections.
846  Economy / Economics / Re: All millions are from real estate. on: August 16, 2023, 09:05:07 PM
We can invest in property, if we have knowledge about real estate market. We can perform low bowling strategy by visiting 100 properties which are on sale. We can filter 10 properties of of ten, then we can filter 3 out of ten and offer 70 percent price as comparison to real price, then we can choose best from last three properties. We can see which person and buy property from that. Rental properties are best options because these give fare after every month. We can also take advance from lessee. After 5 to 8 years, retal property value will be double. In this way, we can in rental properties safely.

We can also invest in commercial market and we can work on it and then sale it, it is very advantageous. Commercial market also give bare and its bare increases speedly. Commercial Market price also increases speedly. We can invest in plots if we have knowledge about the area in which we are investment. In a long term, property plot value increases. If we have least amount of money, we should invest in rental property that will give fare  and equity. By investing in plot, we cannot get  fare but we get equity. Commercial investment is a best investment if we have a large amount of money. Commercial real estate value increases speedlyas comparison to rental properties and plots.
We see , millioners are growing from real estate. Other businesses are also available but real estate industry is fast income growing industry. Builders also get benefit from real estate, they work on foreigners projects, builders invest foreigner  money. Real estate industry is continuously growing.

While investment in real state was considered one of the best decision but not anymore. The real estate and property prices only keep rising in a situation of peace and prosperity. In days of political unrest, no one buys the physical properties.

During the on going Russia Ukraine war and tension building up across the globe , the threat of the world war have slowed down the growth of real estate business. People aren't interested to buy land in times of war. And the value of the land decreases considerably when the political and geographical on ground situation is not good.
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: August 16, 2023, 08:48:42 PM
Bitcoin is a profitable tool for investment, so if your investment brings a lot of profits, and then convert your profits into fiat, then you can start providing foods on your table. While it can’t be used as a currency in most areas, but it can always be a source of investment that will eventually become highly profitable in time.

Trading using bitcoin at the same time can also bring a lot of profits if you are an experienced and a professional trader in the market. But if you trade as a beginner, then it’s hard to expect that you can bring food on the table, since most of your trades are expected to fail rather than to succeed.

Bitcoin is a store of value. This means that if you store your money in bitcoin it will not lose its value overtime as it usually happens with fiat money which is being printed excessively.

Bitcoin is inflation free and  this is the main reason due to which people are interested in it's investment. Bitcoin may not directly help in the food for the table because it is a currency that needs to be earned but it is assured that investment and saving in bitcoin will proof to be most profitable in long term.
848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chase to control the market! on: August 15, 2023, 10:05:55 PM
I have been in crypto for more than 5 years and i have seen a lot of incidents within the industry. There was a time when government and even a lot of people call Bitcoin a scam or a scammer currency. Many thought that only hacker scammers use Bitcoin for money laundering, drug dealing etc. But now the situation has changed and it's good to see how institution chasing each other to not be late to join the industry. The situation is so intense that now what matter most is who will control the market. In the current situation, it seems, no one wants to be the last one to jump over space.

There is still a dark side to this as the institutions and whales are not approaching the adoption in the right direction. Most of the time these big whales move the market down in order to buy low and accumulate. There are many dirty games being played by them. If you remember how Elon Musk put the logo of Bitcoin on their Twitter profile and then removed it and how that market reacted to it.

Let's hope these institutions manipulation is over and bitcoin is adopted in a good decentralized natural way. Being a retail investors, it is necessary for us to know that we do not have to sell our bitcoin when these whales will spread negativity everywhere forcing us to sell our bitcoins and they (whales) buying them cheap.

Hahaha, too much money spending on marketing.

Especially on (Kicks + Individual Contract with Famous Influencers). Let's see on the next 5 years, the progress of (Kicks) since they're investing so much on the streaming-platform. Last time, we have Mixer against Twitch and they're ending so bad.

IMO, the (Influencer) is also want the same things like mixer. Why? because they can easily get a money like (Ninja) and other influencer (Shroud) while mixer failed and decide to close. The streamer who are getting contract can get all-the money according the contract with time-work faster than the contract ~XD.

So what if they want to spend a lot of money on marketing? It will only help them grow further and stand out among other casinos.

By the way, the stake is one of the leading gambling platforms and i don't think if they are ever short of funds when it comes to giving money to the influencers for the shout-out of the platform or giving bonuses to the players month after month.
850  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Something like ebay, but with crypto payment on: August 14, 2023, 06:38:19 PM
Hi guys,
Do you know if exist something like ebay, but based on crypto?

-   I just want to ask you mate, what are you planning to buy on eBay? I wonder if these are bitcoin miners? bitcoin collectible coins, Ledger nano, what mate?

I see another aspect of this query too. Maybe he and many people want to know if there are any big stores like eBay that accept crypto payments etc ? Is their stores like Amazon but accepting bitcoin? I don't think any store of that scale exists that accept crypto.

Either these stores like eBay and Amazon start to accept Bitcoin payment directly or we need new big stores where Bitcoin payment is accessible. This may not only ease the online shopping for many people worldwide and will also act as a source of Bitcoin adoption globally.
851  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: August 14, 2023, 06:19:46 PM
@OmegaStarScream. Similar to the questioning and the skepticism of him being a philantrophist, it should also be questioned if he is really a vegan heheheeh. I reckon the vegetarian community should investigate this. Sam's criminal actions can only be done by an aggressive meat eater.

Also, he is fat! I have never seen a fat person who only eats vegetables.

Who said that he is a vegetarian and he eats only vegetables and stays away from meat ? If he said this himself, would you still believe a dishonest and scammer person ?

He spoke falsely about the FTX exchange reserves, he hided many things from the public, used people's funds in his personal ventures & investment companies and he also spoke falsely about his dieting habits.

Hope now it's clear that he is not a vegetarian and please do not believe on the words uttered from his mouth.
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Money From a Debit Card to a Bitcoin Address on: August 14, 2023, 08:19:54 AM
hey i am beginner with btc Roll Eyes

Can someone explain how to send money from a debit card to a Bitcoin address without having to create a Bitcoin wallet? What is the easiest and quickest way to do this? Huh

Without a wallet, you cannot send bitcoin to a bitcoin address. This is very simple to understand as without having a bank account, will you be able to receive money in that bank account ? Obviously, No., So you need to have a bitcoin wallet in order to get the bitcoin.
I hope you are not willing to send the bitcoin to the exchange address and think that in this way you will be saved from hassle of creating the bitcoin wallet and avoid all that seed phrases stuff etc.

First you need to learn a bit more about bitcoin as how it works, what are different types of wallets and how the funds are being send to bitcoin addresses.
853  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 14, 2023, 05:55:03 AM
Given the crowding of the market with hundreds of new projects and the emergence of new services or companies every day, I think that the number of investors or users of these services does not correspond to this large increase.

So my question is: is this market still profitable for new projects?

The sad reality is that most of the altcoin projects are made to scam the people and there are few which have a perfect good use case. So given this situation, the market will always be profitable for new projects.

I can give another real world example of this. When the internet came into being, there were thousands of sites which were made and were profitable. Even after so many years, if you build up your new site (project) today, it can be successful too. So, if we relate this, then blockchain projects will always be profitable if made with the right intentions.
854  Other / Meta / Re: Requires support from merit sources on: August 14, 2023, 04:44:03 AM
No activities relate to Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies so that merit sources actually have reasons to support if support means distributing merit in that thread.
Those aren't prerequisites for merit sources handing out merits, just so you know.  I'd be happy to merit posts in that thread provided they were good and they were in English (which they're not).  I'm not sure why OP is making an appeal for help to merit sources anyway--it seems kind of odd to me, especially since there haven't been that many posts made in his linked thread so far.

Am I not allowed to ask for support from merit sources for such activities? sorry I don't know about that
There's no rule against it that I know of; I just think it's odd personally, not that it's against forum rules or even that it's shady.  Does the Indonesian section not have at least one merit source?

I just checked that thread and i only see OP post there that contains few images of celebration. Maybe the other people from the country have not contributed yet or they are not interested Huh

Also asking for support from merit sources indirectly means that he wants the posts to be merit by the merit sources  Huh

By the way everyone has smerits with them, and not only merit sources.  Why not Indonesian users contributes and support their own celebrations? Even without the merit source, this can be done.
855  Other / Meta / Re: Whats your take on adding 2FA key as a Bitcointalk account security features. on: August 13, 2023, 05:21:06 PM
It is the best practice to stake a BTC address to add an extra layer of security but this can be risky for some users as well. Privet key of our BTC address can be compromised and we can not ignore the possibility of losing our privet keys as well. It will be an extra workload for the server but by considering the importance of the security of our bitcoin talk account, having several options to secure our account is not a bad idea as well.

Why would the private key of our wallet be compromised unless we do not follow the best practices for safe guarding the private keys.

Also, as you said that the private keys can be lost, well if anyone is unable to keep his private key safe, then he shouldn't be here  Sad
That's the most basic thing that you should not lose your private key of your wallet under any circumstances. You should have 2 copies of the private keys stored at two different locations.

Once you have your private key with you, you can always proof the ownership of your bitcointalk account by signing a message through it.
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mastering the Art of Bitcoin move on: August 12, 2023, 11:44:39 PM
So far, I have seen most of the approach is curated for individuals with a long-term investment perspective. It's not just about gains; it's about calculated gains while thoughtfully nurturing your crypto portfolio.

No one can predict the moves of the market. This is a financial market and if everyone was able to know the next Bitcoin move, everyone would have become rich in weeks and months. You just cannot think about what the market makers and whales are planning whether it is a bull market or a bear market. They will make such moves that will trap the retail into FOMO so they won't sell when prices are all time high or make them so much fearful so that they do not accumulate in all-time near to low prices.

With price action, you may mark certain levels on the chart and predict the next pump or dump to a certain extent but still, nothing can be said with certainty.

For a newbie, investing in bitcoins for long term is the best way to gain money. Also, if you analyze, those who keep Bitcoin for years and years, they are the ones who get real returns which the average day to day trader can never think of.
857  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Failed to submit review and also did not refund the payment. on: August 12, 2023, 11:14:28 PM
not sure which part of the Philippines he is from but it's possible that jamyr was affected by the recent typhoon here in the Philippines, that being said, refunding the money after failing to submit the review even after asking to extend the deadline would have been the right move. sorry you had to deal with this Royse777, Flag supported.

Some mishaps do happen in life but he could have let Royse777 know the situation and I am sure he would have come up with another extension or anything. 90$ is not that big amount and one should not ruin his reputation because of it.

I have also supported the flag. What I see is that payment was made upfront. I don't know if this is usual or what because I have never participated in review but I suppose that if the payment was made after submitting a satisfactory review instead of upfront, this wouldn't have happened. However, I understand that maybe the payment was made this way for simplicity and convenience.

This is only one off incident among so many other applicants. All of them were paid upfront and they did the job. If you are honest with your work, it does not matter if you get the payment upfront or after the work.

I guess he tried (successfully) to pull off an exit scam.

Exit scam  Huh
A Senior Member account is not worth of mere 90$. This is suicide and not an exit scam.
858  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet RBF Feature on: August 12, 2023, 10:35:30 AM
I recently used the RBF feature in the Electrum wallet.
What happened was that I send some amount but put a fee of 2satoshi - Fee per vbyte, it was showing it will take 1 day for confirmation.
So after about 18 hrs, i decided to use the RBF feature for the very first time. I increased the fee to 4satoshi - Fee per vbyte and broadcast the transcation.

Now when i check the old Tx, it says it is not found.

Your first problem was to minimize the fee while sending bitcoins through the Electrum wallet and for this reason, you choose to modify the default fee and put the minimum fee but this was always going to be inefficient for the transaction to become confirmed.

You have already increased the fee through RBF and your transaction may confirm (still 4satoshi per vbyte may still take a lot of time to confirm.)

However, moving forward you should have a better understanding of how the fee works and the role of Mempool etc. I would recommend you read this before making any further transactions through Electrum Wallet Minimize your transaction fee with Electrum wallet

Also, this is worth reading [Jul 2023] Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs!
859  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: P2P Scams : Where does the government stand on: August 11, 2023, 10:45:11 AM
Does this gives a free hand to scammers as they know that they cannot be punished by a court of law  Huh

Unfortunately, yes. There are no checks and balances in place anywhere, so while legitimate users' accounts are being shut down by exchanges who proceed to keep the money, there are also individual scammers (the high-tech thieves) who steal from people for a living, and nobody from the crypto platforms to the social media apps to the countries are doing anything to quash it.
I monitor the methods of fraud in my country. There are a lot of phone scams in which the scammer asks the victim to transfer money to another account. It can be a transfer of money to a drop account or a purchase of a cryptocurrency, but it is impossible to fight against this, because the money will be quickly cashed out. All banks have instructions on how not to become a victim of a scammer, but fools still believe phone scammers.

For this purpose, Binance insists that all P2P communication should happen on the Binance chat window and not take that conversation out of the Binance to any third party platform. If the buyer or the seller asks to have a phone call where he tells another account[ s] to transfer the money, Binance can have no control or proof on this and in case of dispute/scam, Binance may not be able to help the victim.

Yes, the government won't be able to help either because of the no legalization of cryptocurrencies, but we have to take as many precautions ourselves to prevent any sort of fraud or scam with us through P2P platforms.
This does not protect against fraud. The fraudster will find the victim in the telegram, and then on the purchased account on the Binance exchange, he will find an application for the purchase of cryptocurrency.
The scammer will give the victim the details of the P2P partner of Binance and the victim will transfer the money to specified bank account. Binance will unlock bitcoins and the scammer will disappear.
Then the victim will write a statement to the police about the P2P participant in the Binance deal.

Well, the government will only help you in this case, if the crypto currency legal in that country. If crypto is not legal, and you will go to the police for any help which happened in P2P scam, they will first question you as why you are dealing in crypto which is not legal. This can go against you if the government is very strict in your country.

That is another reason where the P2P scams are not being reported or registered as people fear to tell all this stuff to the law enforcement agencies and the scammers at P2P know this fact and they do not fear in trying to scam the people involving in P2P through binance or other exchanges.
860  Economy / Economics / Re: People don't understand the problem with monetary system. on: August 11, 2023, 06:23:47 AM
A lot of people don’t even understand investing, basic finance, and money in general. Why should we expect them to understand the monetary system?

Unfortunately that’s how it’s going to likely play out — people will only buy bitcoin when they already absolutely need it; not with them thinking in advance.

It's really strange that people are not aware what is the main cause of inflation. Bitcoin is a hedge against inflation and those who know this will move their wealth in bitcoins. The general public has no concern to know the flaws in the current monetary system. All they want is to get the wealth.

You're right that people these days invest in Bitcoin because they want to spend online, or they want to do trading but there are very few who are accumulating Bitcoin in order to perverse their wealth and keep them safe from the ever-increasing inflation.

The next financial crisis, similar to the one that happened in 2008, is very near and if we do not keep our wealth in Bitcoin or Gold, it will be very difficult for us to survive that crisis.
