I think it will become the reality once the bitcoin economy catches up and you would be able to employ freelancers, lawyers, programmers, graphic designers and have a selection of at least thousands, so far receiving Bitcoins as an investment would be useless for most businesses.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can't the blockchain be compressed? on: April 30, 2013, 09:17:31 AM
I don't download the blockchain everytime I login on a light wallet to see the 5 dollars I have in my personal account.

The first impression I get when someone asks these questions is that you do not know the community that well, if you did it wouldn't even matter to you.

We are currently working on an affiliate system and an account system that would allow to bet large bets instantly since I have been hearing players complaining about their bets being delayed. We are also thinking about introducing other games and my favorite, horse racing  Wink

Congrats to all the winnings players lately!

Are you saying just keep the blockchain info for the transactions?
I agree with above posts about being able to read the text on the site.
It would be great if you added the results from say the last 50 bets.
Thanks!

Dbasql your suggestion along with others has been noted and the website style has been updated to show the last 10 result below the html5.

All the game results can be seen in "History" on the top right but we are considering adding a table in between the menu and the HTML5 to show the last 10 results in a more user friendly manner.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Not sure about this bet -0.10 BTC on red, win and get 0.00000004 BTC back?  Huh

What game #?

I have to be honest I am not sure how to get that information.
I checked my wallet today and it did come through. The game was played at 22:28 and the winnings came through at 5:32.
Perhaps this is normal for it to take some time to process...
Anyway very cool idea

Yes, please understand that we are still in beta and we're still perfecting everything, if a game is unpaid you can always contact us at unpaid(at)casinobit(dot#net) we are always happy to pay out winning transactions and aren't a bunch of crooks looking to steal.

Congrats for your winnings, I hope that your luck will continue to serve you well  Wink

Still looking for serious folks
If you're SO reputable on the other account, what is the account?  Saying that your a "vet" means absolutely nothing if you can't prove it.

I will prove it to serious people that want to do business.

The thought of a pensioner loosing his life savings after getting his account sabotaged gives me the cringes, also reminds me of how Moses has led the Jewish people in the desert for 40 years because he claimed God has wanted the generation of slaves to die off because they were not worthy of laying their eyes upon the land of Israel, kinda like the situation we're currently in, ironically.
Okay, I hate to be "that guy", but I have to correct your Bible history. <biblethumpingrant> God made them roam the desert for 40 years because they did not trust Him. Despite the fact God performed many miracles such as crossing the Red Sea and providing food. They were afraid to take the land because they did not believe they were capable. They didn't believe God would help them, so God said fine I won't, keep roaming the desert. It had nothing to do with them being slaves. </biblethumpingrant>

Now to what you was actually talking about (on topic). Did I miss something about a pensioner loosing his life savings? I read the article, but I don't think that was in there. Would someone like to fill me in?

Funny, I was under the impression that I am 100% correct, oh well..

No pensioner has lost his life savings yet but I think it would be incredibly tragic if it did happen, e.g. one of the old folks hears about this new wonderful technology and decides to try to use it, in the end loosing his private key and ultimately blaming the Bitcoin economy for losing all his savings, you can't really blame the pensioner so the only one to blame in this equation is the Bitcoin economy.

Kinda similar to how a bulimic dies from dnp and her parents call on banning the substance altogether, because clearly you can't shift the blame on a young female suffering from a mental illness or teenagers jumping from bridges on shrooms or acid and then they criminalize a whole substance because of it.

No the house edge/advantage never changes (unless the rules change).  That is why it is called the "edge".  Might be a good idea to research your own industry?

Once again it is a red flag when you are unsure of the mathematics of your own industry.

I am pretty sure of the mathematics of my own industry as you call it, that what puts me ahead of the pioneers, I might grab the wrong term here and there since English is my third language, don't really like to mention it since people automatically assume I am here to steal. Anyway I have given more than enough proof that the deal is legit, I'm currently discussing a deal, we'll see if it will be fruitful.

Our casino is one of the oldest Bitcoin casinos that exist. What if I told you that I have another personal account on this website registered on 2011 and I am an early adopter and a vet?

I would say WHY aren't you using that account instead?  Why the throw away anonymous account?

1. Because I am representing a company under this account.
2. It is not "throw away", it is very valuable to us.
3. I do not want to link my previous identity along with the opinions I have voiced in the forums to the business, I am a bit on the anarchistic side.

I do however remember you, Peter licking his nipple.

I would be reluctant to invest in a casino where the operator confuses house edge with variance.

Loan to increase working capital and reduce risk of ruin = makes sense.
Loan because you are suffering from negative house edge = makes no sense.

Now for Joe Public to confuse those concepts it understandable but for someone running a gaming business to make that kind of mistakes it is somewhat scary.

I am not running the thing, I am an administrator  Tongue.

Normally the house edge or the house advantage is is 2.7% for european/french roulette, at the moment the house advantage is negative, meaning there is no visible house advantage at all, but on the contrary, a player advantage is visible. It will, however, become closer and closer to 2.7% as months go by, maybe I have not used the proper terms (according to the mainstream industry) to explain the situation as clearly as possible.
856  Economy / Lending / Re: Casino suffering negative house edge on: April 24, 2013, 10:36:43 PM
No, it's NOT my personal opinion.  You have 119 posts, and an account that "magically" came back after disappearing for months.  You have a casino that's been registered for a month with no other "reputation" as far as I can see.  Please prove me wrong if you are inclined to do so.

TL;DR: Account comes back from Nov 2012, makes 100 posts so he has a post count, and registers a website to look legit.  Now, since he has "unexpected circumstances." he asks for a loan.
AKA: Recipe for scam.

Our casino is one of the oldest Bitcoin casinos that exist. What if I told you that I have another personal account on this website registered on 2011 and I am an early adopter and a vet? What I'm thinking is that you're one of the "competing" pioneers trying to taint our reputation again, just the fact that I have live feeds on the website is proof that I have valid contracts and connections around the world, no one in the bitcoin community was able to pull this off so far and mostly likely no one else ever will.

If you think this is a scam then take no part in it, simple as that.

The domain was registered by us before S.Dice, before SealsWithClubs and before any teenagers starting casinos from their parents basement.

You should go to cyprus and see whats going on there. They rob the entire population Wink.
Kinda funny that one of my partners then could pay for his salad in bitcoins

I would ditch your Sri Lanka graphic designer if I were you, he's not that talented when it comes to logos, God knows how much he charged you. Also .org domains are weak for casinos. Just giving you a friendly heads up.
858  Economy / Lending / Re: Casino suffering negative house edge on: April 24, 2013, 09:51:41 PM
I don't understand how you could be suffering from a "temporarily negative house edge". Roulette always has a positive expectation for the house...the edge is always in favor of the house. Are you experiencing negative variance? How much do you need and what are your terms? I agree with the previous poster that if you are soliciting for investments you should do it in the open. Are you willing to open your books to potential investors?

Well I've got nothing to hide as is, some more sensitive information will be given out to investors/lenders. Roulette does always have a positive expectation for the house in the long run, problem is in the short run you can actually lose money to players (e.g. someone hitting a Straight Up or hitting a lucky streak with large sums). You'd be surprised to find out how frightening it is to most casino operators, I personally know one who had a player deposit 50 euro and win 80k, lost about 70k before he could withdraw but still came out at a pretty steep profit, I can just imagine the operator sitting next to that monitor and refreshing that window every second while sweating non-stop  Tongue.

Hello!
Our casino is suffering a temporarily negative house edge so I am looking to give out an exclusive deal to early investors/loaners.

Contact me in private

Never conduct loans via PM.  Let the community vet it and point out issues.  That is what we are here for.  Smiley

You are right to a certain degree, transparency is key when conducting business (especially with Bitcoins) however I feel as this is a low risk deal as I am a pretty respectable individual, not exactly running the video feeds from my basement.

What I need more from the community at the current stage is publicity and suggestions. Our marketing agent is helping us with that and I am always very grateful for even the most strict critics.
Uh, what makes you reputable?  I haven't seen you around here too much.  No offense, but all you have is a (failing) casino site.

You speak in facts without specifying that it's really just your personal opinion. If you don't want to lend/invest if you don't trust me then don't, nobody is putting you in a shoulder lock.

A properly researched individual would think otherwise. It's a natural filter of sorts for me, weeds out all the teenagers, so I'm pretty happy in the current situation.
