841  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: December 05, 2016, 07:01:12 PM
Till now I was able to resist every offer that sounded too good to be true.
I never invest and I never lend. That narrows the possibilities down a lot of being scammed.
So I can say that I have never been scammed by using bitcoins.
Once I bought me a car and payed cash, but that's another story...
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Developer of bitcoins core have planing hard fork, do you agree? on: December 05, 2016, 03:35:36 PM
I think that something needs to be done with the block size problem.
And this hardfork is only plan B, if Plan A (segwit) is denied by the mining community.
The article says as well that it’s not even completely developed.
It will still take a long time until we will know which plan will be finally the supported solution.
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patent trolling in the Bitcoin world on: December 03, 2016, 06:50:52 PM
If companies develope something, it should be their right to have a patent on it.
What they can't do, at least as far as I know, is to file a patent on something that is already publically in use.
Like Bitcoin or the blockchain technology.
So bitcoin in the form we use it today is safe from companies filing patents against it.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: December 03, 2016, 04:08:35 PM
I think you can invest btc ... in btc! So maintain your earning in btc and wait the price go up.
You can maybe find some new project but some times the risk of a scam is to high, and no one could help to recover your loss. I know gambling could be  a good way for profit (gambling on sport and not on "dice") ... but even you have some experience in such activity? If the answer is not ... don't try to earn with gambling you're going to ruin your self.

For my point of view the way for invest btc are similar for invest with cash ("classic" fiat currency).
In terms of the feasibility of using any means the best way to obtain permanent income to provide a passive income - dividends and interest from investments.

I see one of bitcoins biggest strengths to be the weak spot when it comes to investing bitcoins: the anonymity.
Dividends, interest sound promising, but the problem is that in the bitcoin world you usually do not know who is sitting on the other side.
And even when you invest in a company where you exactly know with who you are dealing, many of those start ups have to give up again.
To me bitcoins are my investment, and investing an investment does not sound logical to me.
845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be Smart, When Investing Your Bitcoins In Various Sites on: December 03, 2016, 03:58:29 PM
i am currently using faucets and investing my balance in it again to get a little more profit but all i got is loss. is there any way where i can get constant money just by sitting a side and investing in the program?

Nope, there is not.
There are a lot of programms out there, cloud mining systems for example, who are searching people who want to get money for sitting a side.
Those programms are all scams.
It's relatively simple if you think about it: Why would they need your money when they can achieve miracles with their own money?
Earning money with bitcoins is the same like earning money anywhere else: You need to invest time and you need to have  certain skills.
846  Economy / Speculation / Re: The adoption boom is coming on: December 03, 2016, 03:51:45 PM
Eh, I'll believe it when I see it.  I do think something along these lines is coming, but none of us knows when or to what extent adoption is going to rise.  Having hope and really bullish thoughts doesn't really help anyone, and that sort of thing can be detrimental to your wallet.

People need a real reason to use bitcoin over fiat, and so far I haven't seen really compelling reasons.  That's heresy, I know, but to me bitcoin works much better as an investment tool and store of value than as a currency to be adopted for spending.  But we'll see.
I think adoption booming will still happen, that's why Op mentioned how.
People will interested with bitcoin, the reason should be on merchants/shops accepted bitcoin as has been done in some places like recently in France. Bitcoin community in every country could make it happen with some innovations, but we'll see.
I really think that this boom has already begun.
You can buy lots of digital goods with bitcoin as a payment. Of course, bitcoin is not going to rule the world of payment systems.
But I think it is going to be a worthy oponent for paypal or bank wire.
Sure, that is not going to happen over night, but I think we will all live to see that happen.
847  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think bitcoin is one new step for sucess. on: December 03, 2016, 03:43:13 PM
Since many of the youths are involved in it. Also it is now a good source of earning. Can new generation be independent and will bitcoin help for personal development.

Yes many youths now are using bitcoin because they know that bitcoin have many opportunity. And bitcoin are easy to use and tranfer money in different places. So new generation be independent now coz bitcoin is big help to them to earn money.

That is a big opportunity, and the secret weapon of bitcoin.
The young generation grows up already knowing bitcoin. They have no false prejudgements of bitcoin because they know it from experience.
And they will pass on their knowledge to the next generation.
A lot of people can't be persuaded of the advantages of bitcoin, but bitcoin will manage to grow its way into society.
I think bitcoin is already a story of success, but this story has just begun.
848  Economy / Economics / Re: Imposing tax on bitcoin on: December 03, 2016, 10:12:59 AM
Anything can possible in this cruel world because bitcoin is not governed and ruled by the government there many individuals who are mining and buying bitcoin with low transaction fees.
I guess mining or buying bitcoins will not incur taxes in my understanding. Only when we cash-out bitcoins we may need to pay tax if governments decide to do so. Still, buying bitcoins may attract sales tax rather than income tax. (These terms may vary country to country). Imposing tax on bitcoin is possible, but we will get solutions also to exempt it.
I will exempt myself just be migrating to a country where bitcoin is not taxable. This is my long-term plan. Really I am saving my bitcoins for long term usage so when I am having considerable amount of bitcoins I may move to a free land compared to my current residency.

Using bitcoin will be covered as basic human right and at least some country will value those rights always.
Moving to another countries is not that easy dude. there's some requirement you need to meet so you could be accepted there. such as joining military, living there for few years before get the official citizenship and etc, i think that's just too much if you're moving to another country just because bitcoin is going to be taxed
Correct, its just a nonsense thing that you will migrate to another country because of bitcoin and im sure you will spend more money because of that because of the requirement needed. Bitcoin cant be possibly impose taxes since its a decentralized and no one could able to control it thats why we should not be worry regarding on this matter and tend to move to another country because of this.
I really do not think privat people will have to pay taxes on the bitcoins they own. At least not in my country.
How would they know how many I own? I sure as hell would never tell them.
And I think the effort it would take for a government to find that out would be way beyond what they could earn with taxes. Hopefully they know that...
849  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 03, 2016, 10:06:07 AM
I don't even know that there is a reason for Bitcoin to hit $800 honestly.
Unless the situation in India is bringing in that many new users, this is just a bubble.
No new services, still having confirmation issues, people still arguing over segwit.
There is actually zero good news about Bitcoin right now.

But was there any reason for Bitcoin to hit $700 before? Methinks, it is impossible to say with certainty in regard to any price level. But we could still speculate that Bitcoin adoption increases and that stimulates prices to grow. If it is really so, the prices should be slowly rising over time. But isn't that what we have seen recently? The price has been moving inside the range for quite some time now, and maybe it's time to move higher?

I see bitcoin price climbing while most of the altcoins are falling.
I suppose money flows from altcoin to bitcoin.
Maybe because ETH as number two in market capitalization went down so hard the last few days, people are losing trust into altcoins in general.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: December 03, 2016, 09:47:31 AM
I doubt that Bitcoin makes me look cool. Among my family and friends I more possible look as an idiot, cause of they are too sceptic to bitcoin. But ok. To me bitcoin is the greatest source to make some money and I can't wait to my rank grown to make even more with commenting and gambling.
Same as yours I do look stupid on most family members because they are believing that bitcoin is just an another scam and they don't engage into it and I really hard to explain to them whats its uses and benefits but later on when im earning decent amounts already they are now skeptical regarding to bitcoin.
Honestly... I think I look cool.
Where I live bitcoin is not known very well. Most people think it is complicated to handle. And that makes me look way smarter than I am.
And becaus news reports are often kind of warning about bitcoin, people think I'm more fearless than I really am.
All together: I think bitcoin looks cool on me!
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH under 8$!!! on: December 02, 2016, 04:23:51 PM
I must admit I did not see this one coming.
After Vitaliks state cleaning I thought that would be the bottom of the drop. Seems like I was wrong...
Most alts are losing in price, but it really concers me that that ETH is doing way faster than the others.
852  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: December 02, 2016, 04:13:55 PM
I don't think that investing your bitcoins is necessary as bitcoin is already an investment by himself.
But if you really what to make an investment on other currencies you can always use poloniex to make shorts and longs on other currencies and may earn some more bitcoins.
But this whole thing is based on luck and I won't advice you to use that method to "earn" bitcoins.

You mean trading its a question of lucky? No its all about when to join and follow news, the market react to news in the general, as well improvements, anyway, bitcoin its an investment as you say but all wanna to have more and more bitcoins, expecting a bigger value over time.
Well for me it is not really base on luck it needs skills too to analyze what altcoin is the best to hold for a long term and for short term investment that can gives you good benefits if you do not have any skills and you are just choosing altcoin randomly it can be risk your bitcoin instead you can be lose..
I'm not talking about trading, I mean investing like op mentions it in his post.
Giving your coins to somebody else, a casino for example, in the hope that you get more back.
Trading needs knowledge, and that is something people can get if they want to. And with that knowledge trading becomes kind of predictable.

853  Economy / Speculation / Re: voting: $750 in 1/12/2016? on: December 02, 2016, 02:23:48 PM
We have already broken past $750 and it could only be a matter of time before $800 is reached. i think this rise is better than the one we witnessed back in May or June, when it suddenly skyrocketed and eventually went down to mid $500 below stabilizing and idling at the $600 levels. Let's just hope that this time the support holds strong and that another resistance is slowly broken. We are very early in December and we know that this time of the year, people have lots of money at their disposal.

This time around price might be more mature and wont go back like it was at $500... To me, the lowest price should be $650++...
for me 700 USD is the lowest price at the moment. even before the end of the year the price of bitcoin I predict will reach 780 USD. This is very realistic because usually at the end of the year, the price trend bitcoin is always increasing. hopefully .

The price nearly reached 780$ today.
I suppose because a lot of money from the altcoins is wandering into bitcoin at the moment.
The question is if btc price will be able to stay in that range or if we will see a bouncing up and down for a few months again.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: December 02, 2016, 02:20:13 PM
I really don't understand why so many people want to invest theit coins.
Investing bitcoins always means a relatively high risk of never seeing them again.
And that despite the fact that bitcoin itself is already a highly profitable investment.
855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank moving towards bitcoin soon? on: December 02, 2016, 02:08:41 PM
I don't see banks moving towards bitcoin as well.
Bitcoin has a market capitalization of about 12 Billion $ at the moment.
That's not much for the big banks. Isuppose it's too less to even think about a bitcoin strategy.
By the way, if a few banks would realy invest in bitcoins, the price would rapidly rise.
They would create anothere bubble at the financial markets. And that's something they don't need now at all.
856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin impacts? on: December 01, 2016, 05:55:56 PM
Soon the banks will be of no use if bitcoin becomes popular and worldwide usable..
If Bitcoin starts being accepted in a large number of places, and if most people adapt to it, this can happen. But I would not say it will happen soon. The adoption of a technology like this, by the majority of the population, can take many years, maybe decades...
Yeah it will takes many generations for people to begin using and accepting bitcoin because fiat money still plays a key role in most people's lives and it's still the factor which influences a country's growth. So it's quite difficult for bitcoin to take over the place of fiat currency in just a few years like right now, I hope this would change sooner or later.

I don't think banks will allow bitcoin to replace them so easily. But in order for that to happen a large, large number of people must adopt bitcoin and then in a few generations, banks would be somewhat obsolete.

If it ever comes to that (which could be loosely dubbed as Bitcoin replacing banks), banks will start using Bitcoin themselves. If ordinary people can earn profits through Bitcoin, why banks can't do the same? I guess they could earn even more since they certainly have experience and tools required for running Bitcoin in a big way. But that doesn't mean that they will care for it, they will throw it away as soon as it is no longer profitable for them...

And they may greatly contribute to that themselves

Of course banks will, some already have discovered bitcoin as an opportunity to make profit.
Ther is already a fond in Switzerland that is based on bitcoin. But bitcoin simply has not the capabiltys to replace banks.
Banks are more than just a flow of money. They offer services, consultings and many other things. Bitcoin can't do that.
857  Economy / Speculation / Re: Friday, January 20, 2017, let's pay attention to that date on: December 01, 2016, 08:47:09 AM
In my experience, all markets usually respond well in advance to expected and scheduled news and events and only for bomb blast or other calamity incidents market will react on that day.

The recent halving day price levels was big witness to this.

So, the US president sworn-in fluctuations may happen within 2016 itself just based on new government's policies.

I see it the same.
What the new president will do the first few days he has already announced. Leaving TPP won't be a surprise.
Sunday 4th December on the otherhand is something different. It's not clear at all if the Italian reform will go through.
If it does not that could bring serious trouble on the financial markets. And bitcoin would get a raise, most likely.

858  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments create their own cryptocurrency that will replace fiat? on: December 01, 2016, 07:46:11 AM
In the next 100 years, do you think Governments will create their own cryptocurrency or digital currency that will replace fiat currency, i.e. coins, paper money, the paper dollar,  etc.?

If it does happen, will it be like bitcoin or will it still represent gold like how today's money works?

No and it will not happen as purpose to replace fiat. They will create a crypto but fiat will still be dominant.

It's not as easy as to think that the whole world will embrace the cryptocurrency. There will be lots of major problems that will encountered. 100 years is not enough as trial period to learn all the risk if the whole world will used cryptocurrency. If only one country will do that, expect that it will not be bloom. It is just an option but not to replace the fiat as a whole.
Crypto currencies will only be use for online transactions while the masses cannot adopt with this, it's not easy for them as they are comfortable in using fiat than crypto. With the current situation we cannot live with only our crypto currencies at hand, no major businesses that accepts crypto which I believe necessary for us to buy our wants and needs to survive.

I don't think that a government will create a future crypto currency, I think that one of the major IT businesses will do that.
They have the money, the men power, and the public notification to create a currency a lot of people would use.
Imagine the google-dollar or the apple-coin.

859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This School Accepts Bitcoin ! on: December 01, 2016, 07:41:29 AM
I think this is a very interesting developement.
Karnataka is in India, and exactly there is so much potential for bitcoin.
Of course it's just the school fees that can be paid with btc.
But it shows that somewhere in the organisational levels of that school is someone who has an idea of what bitcoin is and what it can achieve.
Maybe that person can pass his knowledge down to some students.
860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH under 8$!!! on: November 30, 2016, 05:46:50 PM
At the moment it is looking a little bit better for ETH.
The state cleaning Vitalik pulled through is done and it really seems to have had a positive outcome.
The price has already started to climb again during the last few hours after his announcement.
