8581  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: October 24, 2017, 05:55:51 PM
Gold's has been good for all the years but bitcoin for me is the best choice of holdings. And I do believe that bitcoin will be beating or it will be reach another price by making 1 bitcoin = 1 gold and it can even be higher than that. For an investor that keeps on looking for some other investments that will be making it's growth in less time, no doubt that bitcoin is the choice for them. We've been here and we know what bitcoin can do.
8582  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign and foreign language on: October 24, 2017, 05:33:18 PM
in the local sections are not very active

Very true that's why most of the campaigns chose not to pay for these boards although there are some active local boards that got active users discussing everything.

Hello friends,

I have a little question based on your own experience coz I can't find any reply.
When posting for a signature campaign, do you write inside foreign sections like german, french, italian, etc.
I know signature manager usually do not accept some topics, like beginners, politics or games.
But I never read anything related to foreign sections and I saw some users doing it.

Any comments or feedback ?

Regards
Most of the people here are trying their best to just post in the boards where they can paid which is a wrong thing. Don't just post because you are paid to do so but you have to post because you find some topics that are interesting and caught you up.
8583  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Shiping service on: October 23, 2017, 05:59:37 PM
is there any Shipping service accept bitcoin

need to send some hardware staff from Norway to China

There's none, why don't you just sell your bitcoin and use the cash for paying the courier for shipping the things that you have to send. So far there are no service that I have seen that are doing this service but sooner or later we will find it out because the adoption of bitcoin is getting on the mainstream. If you can't use cash then just convert bitcoin to PayPal but that will cost you some fees.
8584  Economy / Economics / Re: Generating Passive Income on: October 23, 2017, 05:14:34 PM
Hey folks,

I realise that the simplest way to make a profit on crypto at the moment seems to be just buying and holding Bitcoin, but I'm curious if there are any coins or tokens designed specifically to generate ongoing passive income for holding them and if so, how they work?

Appreciate any replies,

Just hold bitcoin if you want to be rich one day but if you want to focus with other alt coins too try to look for those alt coins that has a big market cap or try to do your own background checking for each alt coin because most of them has future. But there are some alt coins that their devs are giving up that affects it so stick with alt coins that has better road map and white paper that's for reality.
8585  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: October 23, 2017, 05:04:54 PM
But who knows, they are business they are into higher fees so even if you are a loyal customer to them and suggesting a good payment processor.  Do you think they will care for saving their customers for fees?
It's not about the customers to save on fees, I am talking about merchants having to pay the fees of up to 3% per transaction. Imagine how that is if you as super market have a turnover of $100 million annually, where that number is far higher for the larger super markets. It means that you just 'burn' 3% of your sales, while with Bitcoin, this could be done with just 1%, which saves them a minimum of $2 million each year as per this example. If you want to give people more incentive to make use of Bitcoin, you could even offer them a discount of like 0.5% of their entire purschasing amount. It would then lift the total fee per transaction to 1.5%, but is still far lower than when people end up using their credit cards.

The merchants doesn't have to pay for the fees, they are the one that supplies goods to the supermarkets so I don't know on where you are getting those numbers. Merchants will just simply display their goods on the supermarkets and the management itself will do the thing for them so they'll just receive payments from the customers. It's just actually receiving for them while supplying their goods to their desire respective or supermarkets.
Yes suppliers do not need to pay, it is not an obligation for them. the division of payments such as taxes and other fees is actually the duty of the supermarket and also the buyer. we often see that there are supermarkets that apply a 10% tax on their customers. Bitcoin will not change the system, the system will remain the same and the difference is the way consumer payments to supermarkets. do not ever make this difficult, we speak simple things and suppose bitcoin is the easiest way and the fact that it is true.

The supermarket is the one that will settle all the fees and those merchants that are just trying to earn from supplying their goods doesn't have to do anything but to supply. That's why most of the burden, taxes and increased value of products are shouldered by the customers. The good thing here when bitcoin will be the method of payment for everyone, they are showing good adoption to it and while they are receiving bitcoin as payment, it serves also as their investment.
8586  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which web wallet charges the lesser fees? on: October 23, 2017, 04:49:28 PM
And with the coins.ph > coins.ph wallet they are free together with coinbase and xapo. But when it comes to lower fees, the most used wallet is blockchain.info.

Coinbase is also free from one Coinbase user to another. But off-platform, Coinbase and Xapo both have pretty high fees. Last time I transacted it was ~0.001 BTC fee for the former and 0.0015 BTC for the latter. Granted, your transaction gets confirmed in the next block, but your transaction could get confirmed in the next block for much less. You'll pay less on Blockchain.info than either, in my experience.

But regarding the OP, I'd just go with a lightweight wallet -- Electrum. No time to sync the chain, connect to trusted nodes if worried about attack, and you can edit the fee manually. I usually just go to 21co's fee page and choose something in the 0-9 block range. It usually gets confirmed within a couple blocks and I pay 0.000027 in fees instead of 0.001. No brainer. Unfortunately, Electrum's fee estimation isn't great, so it's best to enter fees manually based on current network congestion.

Yes they both have higher fees so there's a percentage of people that are using them from coinbase > other wallets when sending. Mostly everyone prefer to use blockchain.info because it has a lesser fees and that's what I used for smaller amount of transactions. With electrum, it's a good wallet and I find it secured but yes, that's the part of it where it's fee is also quite high every time I use it, I'm thinking that it's worth of the payment.
8587  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Paying with Btcoin on: October 23, 2017, 02:42:12 PM
In my country, we have this app coins.ph, which we are using as our bitcoin wallet and in its feature we can pay our electrical bills. As for our country don't accept bitcoin yet, I think they are converting it first to our local currency.
But the guy is asking for an electrical course, not for an exchange that will allow us to pay electrical bill. It's quite far from it's real usage and it's spelling. You should start to read always the topic before commenting however, if I'm not mistaken that app/exchange is also allowing you to pay some tuition fee which can also happen so in summary, you can use that coins.ph for paying it.

I can do that. Can you message me?  Kiss
I am glad I got so many replies, but almost nobody messaged me on KIK!?!? Message me

It's because most of us here doesn't have time to visit KIK and everyone prefer to message these type of offers through here on forum. Are you sure you are really going to do that? What a liberated woman, be careful young girl you are still young and you've got a better future if you'll try to find some other ways for the solution of your financial problem. Sorry but I'm not going to avail this type of offer as there are some websites where you can just simply see for it for free.
8589  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which web wallet charges the lesser fees? on: October 21, 2017, 07:00:47 AM
If you're just gonna send coins to someone here in Philippines, its better to use coins.ph since coins.ph to coins.ph wallet transaction don't require fee.

If not, then coinbase. They have lower fees than capo.

The same wallet provider to the same wallet address will cost nothing and it's actually free. And with the coins.ph > coins.ph wallet they are free together with coinbase and xapo. But when it comes to lower fees, the most used wallet is blockchain.info. But sometimes the fees are quite too high for me so I'm just letting a couple of minutes pass and will check it again later on, we can adjust the fees to low priority if you don't want to pay higher and you can wait.

8591  Economy / Economics / Re: The magic of Money management on: October 21, 2017, 06:16:31 AM
Money management did helped me a lot on how I'm going to settle with finances. In trading you have to prioritize profit, you don't have to wait too long and be patient if you can immediately pull out while there's a profit. But if you are not too confident with your emotion and you don't want to settle by selling immediately some of your alt coins just manage it properly. Take time to read daily charts and don't forget to learn from your mistakes.
8592  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened to the Campaign.? on: October 21, 2017, 05:49:49 AM
please mention your campaign name if you don't mind .cause there a lot of types of campaign which bounty Campaign and sig campaign. In my speculated i think you are joined in a bounty campaign? Correct me if I'm wrong . Cause based on my experience some of bounty campaign manager locked their thread to avoid spammer if the campaign is hold or the campaign manager waiting for the confirmation of the owner if the campaign will continue for the nexweek . Maybe need to wait because there's a reason why the campaign manager hasn't answered yet.

He already mentioned it, try to read first before commenting mate.
What happened to Sebeum campaign ?
He did joined a signature campaign and that campaign is an ICO so it's quite hard to depend on those type of projects that doesn't really promise to pay their participants upon joining. It's not about the spamming issue or something like that but it's about the project is not seeing good result.

Hi Darkstar, sorry if I'm going to post off topic here but I just noticed that my name was mentioned by sixcoin and I don't know that we have some drama here.
For sixcoin, every campaign manager does have their own criteria for choosing a participant for their campaign and I don't consider myself as better as others because I'm just a normal poster though and I don't want to compare myself with others. The thing here is just respect Darkstar's decision and as well as other managers too. Peace out.
8596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEW Scam Email on: October 17, 2017, 10:42:21 AM
We really need to be careful. I recently read that the same MEW spam emails began to spread over one of the airdrop that advertised on the forum. Thank you for opening this topic, it will certainly help many to be more cautious.

It's easy to avoid these type of scams, just every time you check out your email make sure that it is coming from the real, legit provider or exchange or any wallet provider. You know that nowadays the price of bitcoin is increasing and other alts as well so this is pulling the interest of hackers to pursue their job, yes it's their job to scam people, to make phishing links but if you are vigilant enough about this thing you'll not become a victim of it. Thanks for the notice OP.
8597  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Wallet on: October 17, 2017, 10:21:02 AM
Which is the most used? Any ideas? Desktop and Mobile.

The most used wallet is desktop and web wallet but this is just my guess since there is no statistics on how many people and the percentage of people that are using these wallets. But it's popular that people are using the same desktop wallet like electrum, bitcoin core and for the web wallet, the most popular one is blockchain.info and some others are choosing to use hardware wallets for storing their bitcoins.

are those wallets are safe from any kind of viruses? because i heard that some wallets has a virus...what about ether wallet? what kind of wallet is that?

Every hardware is at risk of different viruses and malware as it always depend to the users. Electrum and bitcoin core are solid wallets where you can have no doubts of their security but the thing here is you need to take a look at yourself on how you'll make your wallet safe. Our desktops and laptop's are prone to any virus and harmful software if we will not use it properly. Ether wallet is good for alt coins and it's different from bitcoin wallet.
8598  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: October 16, 2017, 01:16:46 PM
And I doubt it because supermarkets here are big corporation and they do prefer credit cards and cash instead of accepting bitcoin
No. Super markets are high volume selling 'machines', and credit cards cost the merchant up to 3% in fees per transaction. Imagine to what number of fees in fiat this adds up after a full year. If merchants, no matter what industry they operate in, know that through a Bitcoin payment processor such as Bitpay they just pay 1% in fees, it would be an easy choice for them to go with Bitcoin.

But who knows, they are business they are into higher fees so even if you are a loyal customer to them and suggesting a good payment processor.  Do you think they will care for saving their customers for fees?

because they don't literally know as of now what bitcoin is.
That's indeed a problem, and in case they do know what Bitcoin is, they don't see anything in accepting Bitcoin due to the volatility. They however don't know that with a service such as BitPay, the merchant in question doesn't need to care about the volatility at all. It's the lacking understanding of what's possible that keeps them away.

There's no such merchant in supermarkets, we call it merchandisers who are the ones that are putting their products in the supermarkets and I don't really think they'll know about bitcoin since they are in the retail business.

8600  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can't login to blockchain.info since yesterday, anyone else has same problem? on: October 16, 2017, 01:03:57 PM
I did tried to log in a while ago with my blockchain.info wallet and it's working.

I heard about DDOS attack to some wallet sites.Maybe that is the reason for unaccessible wallet concerns. Did you check to open browser's incognito mode which works flawlessly without old cookies? I hope you dont hold all your bitcoins in single web wallet.

Well these DDOS attackers seems to take the advantage because of the price increase of bitcoin. But I know they won't be successful on their attempt. And as of checking now again my wallet was easily logged in.
