Maverick if you need extra admin for fb/twitter, or if you need a project coordinator, code tester and so on and so forth I'm here to help as much as I can

Kuro, you've been quite active on the forums during this coins lifecycle, I personally would be happy to have you. Any objections?

I'd also like to personally nominate envy2010 and janos666 for addition to our team. Are you two interested?

Thank you, but I think I am too pessimistic for a marketing person. Grin
But feel free to contact me about any ideas if you think I can be a significant help. Wink
I am still a CAT holder myself.

I wasn't even really thinking as a marketing person, you've have some good ideas and are active, we always will need more people with good ideas who are respected by the community. Your ideas and contributions are all we ask for. Wink PM me if you're interested.

I don't think it's a secret that we need a lot of promotions, starting like... Right now!

It seems like the trading on Cryptsy can possibly freeze in any moment. And it can be a problem if CoinWarz records a low frozen price.
It was me who bought up most of the coins between 12:00 and 18:00 and right when I finished, the price dropped significantly.
And it's not just the price. I can't see any sell orders with significant amount of BTC, not even for very cheap prices.

It seems like people forgot about CAT coin. Sad

I would like to open the sell orders with 115000 COYE for 0.02 BTC
Thank you BiggestFish for this service. Smiley

10 minute offer: 105137.98052827 COYE for 0.1 BTC
First private message or highest offer wins. But I have to go to bad soon, that's why it's a limited time offer.

Literally the only thing fucking with us are the large hashrate coin jumpers.

And that's because in the current situation, it seems like it's the coin which have to adapt to the market to be profitable for miners.
It's not like we have a coin with it's fixed specs and the market must accept a certain price which makes it profitable for the miners to generate the coin supply.
It's the coin micromanagement, which tries to adjust the coin parameters to adapt to the current (floating average) market price.

But there is a huge flaw in this system because the price isn't stable and it aims ~0 because investors like cheap coins. So, if you make it easier to mine, the price just goes down again, and so on...

By the way, keeping the difficulty artificially lower is technically the same thing as increasing the block reward. (And this can also inflate the existing coins further, just like the last adjustment.)

It seems like CAT thought it has several spare lives anyway, so it can start from BTC specs and then walk the way of the succeeding altcoins step by step. Yesterday lower retarget time, today milder diff adjustment, tomorrow a bigger coin supply to fix the problem caused by the increased reward... as long as we reinvent DOGE. We could just start with a 1:1 DOGE copy-paste. It would have been so much easier. Grin

Well, another pool where I supposed to have significant amount of COYE just went completely offline (both stratum and web).
This time, it's coye.dedicatedpool.com
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COYE] Coinye Coin - Launch: JANUARY 7, 2014. 7 PM PST on: January 08, 2014, 09:42:07 PM
coye.pool.pm, are you kidding me? I mined in this pool from the very beginning until it crashed (when the diff was minimal) and I earned less COYE/min than I earned later with a different pool when the diff was at least 16.
Of course, I didn't see what happened because the web interface was offline the whole time. And yes, I can't see if we had a lot of ophans, because that feature is still offline.
But it's strange, to say at least. I think the pool lost a lot of coins during the crash. Cry

I build a cluster to scale to the moon and all you can give Coinye is 400 600 800Mh/s?? Comon guys.. I thought you had HASH POWER! SHOW ME THE HASH!

Right now it's: 1.23 GH/s /// 5.34 GH/s

It's very far from that, but do you plan to eventually take over the whole coin? LOL.

What's happening with the main pool? I was mining on coye.pool.pm or stratum+tcp://pickaxe.pool.pm:3304 for a while at the start so should have quite a few coins there

Me too. Left it on all night and this morning had 130 confirmed shares. Won't be many coins coming from that mess.

Me too. It was long ago, the admin should have had his sleep time if that was the reason for the long shutdown. Roll Eyes
869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 08, 2014, 04:38:14 PM
Wouldn't the proposed loyalty system scare away any newcomers and cause a slow monotone decrease in the network speed?
People possibly would either simply skip the coin if they take the time to read about the system (and don't risk it / sacrifice their freedom), or jump out of the mining soon because they don't understand why they get less shares compared to other similar miners.
This is similar to the pool loyalty systems like PPLNS. PPLNSs take away the miner's freedom, so nobody joins to a new PPLNS pool unless he plans to stay for a while (but he needs to be convinced that he will want to stay) or he has no idea what to do (but he will probably join to a multipool or squer one LTC).
It works because most of the pools use PPLNS, so the miner doesn't really have a choice (and this fact makes the remaining few PPS pools look like the target of the oldschool poolhoppers).

I don't say it's a bad thing to have courage for trying new things. But may be it's not the best idea for a weak coin if you want to keep it alive for all costs, instead of being ready to sacrifice it anytime.
I just say it's risky and CAT might not need more risk factors right now.

Anybody cares to buy up all my 298448.87882173 COYE for some 0.x BTC? Roll Eyes

Or tell me when https://coye.pool.pm will release the rest of my COYEs if ever? Embarrassed

I also want to hear the answer!

Sorry Such fail coin.

i'm sure that someone is so evil in ruining your valuable 5 seconds investing time, genius such as you should been making tons of BTC during that split seconds. amirite?!
wtf are u talking about? cant understand a single word mate.

I am not a native English speaker but I fully understood him. Tongue
What would be your offer for my 1 Billion then?
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][COYE] Coinye Coin - Launch: JANUARY 7, 2014. 7 PM PST on: January 08, 2014, 06:12:50 AM
Any news about https://coye.pool.pm ?
I have the slightest idea how many coins I might have in there. I mined in this pool from launch until it went offline. I could be 0 or a lot...
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sCoin Next-Gen Trillions Coin | s is for SatoshiCoin on: January 07, 2014, 02:29:23 PM
I have almost 100 million now. If scoin value rises to 10 satoshi someday, I'll be almost rich!  Cheesy

Do you want to buy 1 billion SCO for 1 BTC?

aw no love huh . i'm gonna wait the day when a trillion coins mined. inflation rate is right on schedule Cheesy. ...

I intended to make a surreal offer. I didn't want to be the first to start the inevitable inflation. Tongue
On a more serious note though: 1 Billion SCO for 0.1 BTC
It's my final offer. I will delete my wallet .dat from my TRIM and hardware encryption capable SSD (zero chance of recovery) before I sell them for less! Grin
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 07, 2014, 05:27:05 AM
Yeah, if everyone says they crawled through PPLNS then we've got a big problem. Some people need. to. change. pools.

May be ALL pools should switch to PPS reward system until the >>50% nethash scenario stops happening on a daily basis.

!LOL! Coinium is practically THE NETWORK now. They must have all the coins. It should be called CoiniumCoin from now on. !LOL!
Thank God I currently have zero CATs above my coinium balance. Tongue

Why do I feel like I am actually advertising them right now? It just keeps growing and growing instead of shrinking as it should.

Hey guys and girls. It won't worth it to mine on coinium if all those blocks get orphaned by the end of the day because the pool had >>50% network hash rate for too long!

When I joined it was <40% and I already crawled though the PPLNS waiting line before it got >45%, but if you are a newcomer, looking for a pool, or you just joined to coinium recently, please choose / switch to another pool!

By the way, it's interesting that the network speed didn't rise much since the diff changed.
I expected some rigs to join manually after CAT showed up on the top of the CoinWarz list.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 07, 2014, 03:46:54 AM
Is coinium working properly?
I am mining there since the last diff change and I only have 0.29 unconfirmed CAT income for ~4.5Mh/s (which takes me to an elegant place on the pool TOP list) Huh

Well if I'm not mistaken they've only found 1 block or so since the diff change, maybe that's got something to do with it.

It's either very bad luck or a bug. By the way. This pool now has ~47% of the network hash rate! !DONT JOIN TO COINIUM POOL RIGHT NOW! Pick something else for now!
It seems to have bad luck now anyway. Or something bad just happened already...

Did you guys actually manage to convince every multipools to ignore CAT this time? Shocked
It is on the very TOP of the CoinWarz list and yet, the network hash rate didn't really rise that much since the last high diff block.
