Pretty disappointed reading these posts lately. Some fuktard and his wife begging for BC like a 12 year old kid. Gonna peddle BC pamphlets with some girls hired off craigslist. Fuking pathetic really - sounded good at first but why doesnt this guy scale his shit down to size - like 4 girls and his wife for starts and take proceeds from that and then maybe 10 rather than sponge from the community to self promote himself to the next pool.

As for the multipool - that's a choice. You either use it (I do) or you mine trade yourself or make your own pool Who is going to tell you you xan't. Don't trust the multipool then don't use it - I never liked that fat fuk at Mt Gox myself so never traded with them - he was an official fukhat of the btc organization - so much for that nonsense.
You got a handful of developers that got their shit together - the rest are just self promoting amateurs really.......

I sincerely hope this is some "outside group" trying to put a wedge between the BC community. Because if the core group is behind this obvious charade, we are in more trouble than I previously thought. Let me give you some pointers on how to do a proper smear campaign.. 1. Never use a mans wife and/or kids in a smear. It immediately turns people off and it will quickly turn them against you. 2. Never use blatant lies. People are not stupid, they can find out for themselves. Always use the truth against a person. 3. Spread your attacks across days not minutes, it will seem more believable. 4. Never use new accounts, it just makes you look like a weasel and a coward. 5. Know when to stop. You can over reach and your attacks can quickly make the intended target look like a victim, which will have the opposite effect of what you originally intended. 6. The most important one...Smears work both ways. Never try to launch a smear campaign against someone that is significantly more calculating and devious than you. |

Swapping the donated alt-coins to FIAT is not using them.
It makes absolute sense to cash them out at the donated times face value - as that was the intention of the donation.
Had i sent 5k BC when price was 50K, and he not chased them until price was 25K i would be pissed my effective donation I feel I made was cut into 50% for no reason. Same with BTC.
Holding onto any Alt coins that are donated is too fucking dangerous when your working towards a monetary target.
We could have $11900 raised in BTC on the 15th, price tanks and then project is fucked up as the value is now $5000
It makes absolute sense of any project needing FIAT to swap the donation ASAP.
I don't want the guy doing the PR (or team) to speculate with the funds.

since 25k doge are roughly $12,- you shouldn't say $100, that's true.
my point is that at the time of my donation, the FIAT value was close to 100$ i didnt do the math, the numbers are only to prove a point. The value of the currency at the time of donation can fluctuate, so a dip or a rise could throw off all the math if he'scashing out daily. And there is no transparency to someone cashing it all out. Every single legit BTC and Doge charity will leave the wallet alone so people can verify exactly where their donations are and when they are being spent. For all we know he's paying his bills with it. Plus what if you don't hit your target and have to pay people back? are you going to pay out 6K out of your own pocket if it drops 50% like you stated it could? I highly doubt it. YOU SHOULDNT BE CASHING OUT UNTIL YOUR GOAL IS REACHED IN THE FIRST PLACE. If you are spending donations and your goal doesnt get met then all the money spent up to that point is lost. protect yourself and your investors donations. dont spend the funds until they are all collected. Everyone is assuming that the PR company is going to incessantly spew out bastardized advertising. If it does this, then I will not agree with the initiative. I am under the impression however, that the role of the PR team is to build a tactile and developed strategy for implementing Blackcoin and helping to build it's infrastructure.
I.E If the PR team's job is to aid in getting Blackcoin adopted by traders (helping with pitches etc), identifying weaknesses with it's message and potential implementation then I am fully 100% behind it. These are the fundamentals we need to be working on right now and a plan for this is badly needed to unify the message. We need to be working out how we can actually develop a supply and demand for Blackcoin and if that is the PR teams job, which is what I imagine it to be, then great. That is a logical step right now. That is why I am not currently against it.
Ok I am going to extend an olive branch here and I will explain why I am against the PR firm. I dated a woman years ago that worked for a well known ad agency/PR firm in NYC. I love learning about other people professions and I can listen for hours if someone has an interesting profession. We use to talk about her clients (they call them accounts), and she once explained to me how part of her job is to charge the client for ridiculous bs. (They are worse than Lawyers) First they charge you to come up with the plan, and then they make you feel only they can execute the plan effectively, so then they charge you again to implement the plan. But here is the real BS...in all PR firm contracts they will not guarantee positive results. So if you spend $100,000 and their plan flops, oh well we tried maybe next time. She told me never hire a PR firm it is better to hire one or more freelancers which is significantly cheaper and will yield better results. Now you do not have to believe me or take my advice, but you will quickly realize I am not BSing you. PR firms should be avoided unless you have millions of dollars to spend. |

Some bullet points of significance:
-- Iconic's attacks. Although there's some poetic justice in the developments of the last 48 hours on that field (he's the one prone to promote bannings of dissenting people... dissenting with some or all or his opinions/methods), the juvenile peculiarity of the attacks, the viciousness in some cases and the totally inappropriate way of going about it by a seemingly coordinated gang, totally discredits those -including the devs- who have willingly and repeatedly participated, instead of the chosen target. Once again, I find the guy generally regrettable, an out of control dangerous egomaniac without capability of accepting criticism and in on this to make a buck by any means he find necessary, both on the coin valuation and on side business such as his card. But the attacks on him personally are, clearly, politically motivated. I don't personally know how much has he invested in BC but I am fairly sure he won't have any problem showing his wallet for everyone to see. If for no other reason that to keep him in check and benefit from some of his ideas, the proposed "Foundation" should have offered him a seat in their board. But it seems that the Foundation, with or without quotes, is more or less a fan club (of the DOGE) grabbing territory before "that crazy guy" gets the bulk of the community on his side and actually running things". Hastily doing so, can easily prove to be counter intuitive and obviously shows weakness. Repercussions, potentially serious ones, are sure to follow.
I still think you should be banned. However, I do not think there is anyone who dislikes me more than you, and when you can clearly see and admit these attacks are "political" should make them take pause. |

You should have stopped your ego from tearing up the dev's project. All of this recent mess, stemmed from your original post about how the PR campaign is the worst choice any start up business can make (as if BC or any crypto is your typical startup). Not only that, but you also made others believe it was such a bad decision and that we are some kind of amateurs running BC. From there, it spiraled into chaos. And this chaos was also the result tension that was building up from some of the investors who put a lot of time and money into BC, and really didn't enjoy you taking all the credit for everything that BC has accomplished - while downplaying everyone's accomplishments outside of your own. This needs to be settled now. Trying to move this under the carpet again is a no go. We settle this now, and not later on when we are at $1+ and there will be a lot more money at stake. Because as you know, this isn't the first time... and this time was a lot worse than the previous one. I don't even want to know what a third time a month or two from now may look like if we don't address this now. So, I ask, where do we start the compromise?You just can't leave well enough alone. You guys do know there is post history... right? Your constant attempts at changing history it is very annoying. All my recent posts are here for all to see and I never delete my posts. 1. Gritt made his Asinine comment on an article that was getting a lot of attention. Whether his comment was malicious or not, his comment started the rift between the dev team and me. 2. Please stop with the talking points about me taking credit for everything, it is old. I didn't try to take credit for the multi-pool, I didn't try to take credit for Moolah, I didn't try to take credit for CoinKite, and I don't take credit for anything I wasn't a part of. And I have also given thanks and support to many members who have taken initiative with their own projects, so WTF are you talking about? No really WTF are you talking about? but all this squabbling is making me hold back pulling the trigger.
I hold a lot of blackcoins, and i was thinking that the drive to a dollar was just around the corner, I still think it may be but all this foundation bashing and iconic slamming has to stop. unlike iconic who has to much to lose to actually sell out, us small, do nothing investers will take profits and hold if we see things going south

BlackCoin Community Plan
As promised I came up with a basic plan that we all can build upon over time. I think as a community need to be on the same page to achieve our common goal to make BlackCoin #1.
Before starting I was going to put this into a PDF and I decided to post it here so everyone can add whatever suggestions and comments to the plan. This is very long so please take a few minutes to read it.
Introduction:
Over the past few weeks this community has accomplished some amazing things in the name of BlackCoin, but lately we have lost focus on our main goal of making BlackCoin #1. Some of us have been conducting ourselves like juveniles on this forum, including myself. The first thing that needs to change around here is our decorum. We cannot continue to act the way we have been acting. There are some very talented and intelligent individuals here , and we do not have to attack each other to get our point across. We can have intense debates and still be respectful of each other. If and when trolls do enter our thread, we have to adopt a no tolerance policy. Do not quote them and kindly ask them to refrain from posting FUD. Do not aggressively engage or argue with them. This thread is key to attracting new talent and investors, and it needs to remain open but it also needs to remain fairly professional.
Mission:
Everyone keeps making the mistake of suggesting we can be the next Bitcoin. I do not want to be the next Bitcoin. In the eyes of the world Bitcoin doesn't exist. Yes we know about Bitcoin, and maybe 1 or 2 million people know about Bitcoin. However, if you ask 20 random people on the street if they know what Bitcoin is, I am willing to bet at least 19 of them would not have a clue what Bitcoin is. So although Bitcoin was the first, there is a very good opportunity to become the standard crypto-currency everyone knows and uses. There have been many examples in recent history when the first product to market is overshadowed by the newcomer because the newcomer had better marketing and branding.
Our mission is to strive to be the most recognized and used crypto-currency in the world.
Structure:
This is a hard one. BlackCoin is not a corporation and it will never be a corporation. It is a community funded project with many moving parts. However, it seems to have turned into a central organization with a community that has limited say. There are major issues with this approach but I will not address that now. Moving forward I propose we decentralize BlackCoin and turn it back into a community controlled project.
1. The development team focuses on development and the technical aspect of BlackCoin
2. The BlackCoin foundation focuses on supporting projects and whatever else they feel passionate about.
3. The community focuses on building the brand and handling the business side of BlackCoin. No one person or small group should decide the fate of BlackCoin.
I own the domain GoBlackCoin.com and we can turn that into a community hub for discussions, new ideas, projects, events, and everything else related to BlackCoin. We can have tutorials, market info,...etc..etc. Senior members of the BlackCoin community can be admins and mods. it will be a complete social network for the BlackCoin community. I can have that up and running by mid June.
Technology:
The current BlackCoin client is based off the original Bitcoin client. We should begin to move forward with a more unique design that is tailored more for BlackCoin. Every wallet client is pretty much a carbon copy of the previous client with little differences here and there. It is hard to portray unique and innovative when the software for the wallet is similar in design to every other wallet.
Using BlackCoin at retail locations will be made easier using CoinKite, but I must admit I think cypto is going backwards with this approach. Using cards and terminals to make purchases is 20th century technology, and I have no idea why the currency of the future needs to use redesigned 20th century technology. Google has it right with their technology using an ordinary smart phone to make purchases.
We need to make it easier and cost effective for any merchant to accept BlackCoins without the hassle of extra terminals and cards. There are tons of locations that already support Google's technology, and maybe we need to tie into that network somehow.
Marketing & Brand Awareness:
We have already proven that press releases have a positive effect on getting investors excited and garnering the attention of the crypto-community. But there is so much more we can be doing
a) Social media should be a top priority. We have members who have graciously offered to Tweet regularly and upload photos to Instagram. We must utilize every aspect of social media.
b) Events will be crucial to building brand awareness. The Wall Street event is just one example of how we need to be creative and think out the box. We need to sponsor small concerts, raise money for charities, and sponsor high profile non-crypto related events
c) Traditional print ads in magazines is an option we will need to explore. Bitcoin placed an ad in Wired Magazine. That was a good idea but I would have opted for one of the financial magazines first. We need to go where the money is, and financial magazines is where we need to be.
d) Times Square billboard! Yes we need to go big! At this time it is not feasible to buy a billboard in Times Square, but as the marketcap of BlackCoin increases we can have a BlackCoin billboard in the middle of Times Square.
e) Radio is also an option we need to pursue. Radio is not expensive at all and can be effective with the right ad and audience.
f) Celebrity endorsements. A-list celebrities are expensive, but there are very popular celebrities that are not exactly A-list but have a huge following. Their fees are significantly less than an A-list celebrity but can be just as effective at making BlackCoin popular.
g) Sponsor poker tournaments and have the players paid in BlackCoin.
Infrastructure & Partnerships:
We have been very lucky to have been added to some of the top exchanges and services in such a short span of time. I think as a community we have been very effective in this area and we just need to keep contacting services and keep requesting they add us.
Coinbase is a Bitcoin only service but I think they are rethinking their position on that. If we can show how powerful and innovate BlackCoin is, maybe in the future we can convince them to add us.
Every time I send BTC to an exchange it takes a lifetime to confirm. However, when you compare that to BlackCoin it seems almost instant. This is a major advantage and we need Bitcoin only services to understand Bitcoin is yesterdays technology.
Recruitment:
We need the most talented people onboard to help with this project. Talented and knowledgeable people are priceless, and we need to establish an environment that welcomes and nurtures talented people.
BlackCoin will succeed or fail based on the efforts of the community. Without a passionate and active community BlackCoin will slowly die like many coins before it.

IE you blackmailed the devs, along with the entire BC community about dumping your stash and crashing the BC. You're not exactly the shining knight here. You've done this before too. That is inexcusable and you owe the entire BC community an apology for that alone.And you've done that before too. The difference is, this time the devs said, "go ahead and do it". |

All those that wish to go - just go. in fact - delete this thread out of your memory as it was fine without most of you trolls anyway. Come back WC trolls all is forgiven  They want everyone to move away from this forum because they do not control the message here. They are starting to realize people are fed up with the BS, so by moving the "venue" they can "control" what is said and done. The only reason why they are "against" me is because people are starting to see a stark contrast between us. A team that is focused on making profits from the multi-pool with little to no original ideas, and someone that is willing to try new ideas to make this coin a success. Now here is the irony in all of this. First they spam the forum with insults..etc..etc, and then they spam the forum with requests to move the discussion because of all the "troll activity" This similar to someone breaking into your house and stealing all of your belongings, and then returning the next day to sell you a security alarm. Everything was fine until they started posting the negativity again. These are the people you want to trust with your money??? WOW.... |
