The missing Question 4 is still expecting the answer to 3. Question 8: With version 2.0.1 around, having been downloaded and available for installation, if anyone wants to get on the Lottery-Winning-Train, do they just install 2.0.1 and start staking millions of SLR? Which blockchain should they stick to for better results - the main 1.5 PoW blockchain, or the forked 2.0.3? With no blockchain explorer around, I bet the 2.0.1 version is the way to go if anyone wants to get into the billions of SLR within a day or two, without being noticed. So here is my question 8: 8. DO YOU GET IT NOW? Edit: Any further code changes to PoST implementation MUST FIRST ensure 2.0.1 will not be allowed to stake on the blockchain.FYI: current SLR main (PoW) blockchain block height: 837905 Just want to keep this post from disappearing. So more people can "get it". Nice sunglasses by the way. Is any of this possible?

Again i would like to express how disappointed I am that we cannot get a fully functional POST release. How hard can it be to test things before releasing them? I have to say i'm pretty pissed! My wallet won't stake anymore and I would like to know what's going on.
vipgelsi, look what happens when we rush things! I don't want to cause drama here , that's probably the last thing I want to do. Solarcoin is all about trust and I have got to say i'm slowly losing the trust that has been built up over the last two years. I'm very very dissapointed
We would of had these issues if we waited just like how we waited months and months for PoST and had issues Now we can work the kinks out. Relax and enjoy the show

Just restarted my wallet again and guess what i found another small interest block under a minute later. My last block before restart was 6 hours ago. strange
Just letting you know that I haven't experienced this on either machine, after restarting both wallets... was worth a shot Maybe it is because i have a large stake.

Seems like a power struggle is under way here. Can't wait to see who wins! Kinda cool

version 2.03 wallet
Another restart and another interest payment about 3 minutes after of about 2 Solarcoins. then wallet freezes and i have to restart 2 times to get it back working.
Update= after 4 restarts and 4 found blocks there is definitly a bug in the wallets and most likely why we don't have 1 block per minute
Update= now it says my wallet is over 2045 blocks behind and is syncing. And now its ok again a few minutes later.

I found two blocks, (both rather small amounts) however I found the blocks right after restarting the wallet. Sure this is not a coincidence?
I have also experienced this numerous times. finding blocks right after restart. Also after restart my balance usually updates to the correct amounts.

I have a i7 intel 7 core cpu 3.5ghz and i am showing 30% cpu usage

Finally got some decent interest Thanks PoST

Does anyone understand the nodes? My dad has 14 connection to the solarcoins network and the most i can ever get is 7.
Does this have any effect on staking?
TIA.

Coin supply is going to get very tight. Until we get to 1 block a minute. I have been staking 100k coins in a test wallet and i have only earned 2 solarcoins in 24 hours.
I could of instead paid under 2 cents and bought 2 coins instead of running my computer for 24 hours using electricity (about .20 cents worth)
Soon the price will have to come around

no new blocks for 25 minutes
So I restarted my wallet and then I generate the next block a minute after restart. Coincidence?
|
|
|
Any way i could slow down the wallet so i still earn interest but less cpu usage?
|
|

Everything is working just fine. Besides blocks being super slow. Myself and family and friends are going to stick with PoST. My question is why does the staking go from 0% all the way up to 99% and then back down without earning interest. Also i have about 5 earn interest transaction and about 9 that where not accepted

thanks for all the hard work onsightit!

true but i do remember him saying at one point PoST would start on this current block 835,000 but then he did change it to the block you mention 840,000.

I'm still unable to import the private keys from my paper wallets. It's kind of a big deal... Steve, you said you could do it, can you (or someone who was successful on a Windows wallet) please provide a step by step so I can find out what stupid little glitch I'm missing? Thanks. OK, well I figured it out. The mistake was that I needed "false" at the end of this line, not "true". So here is how you do it on Windows: Go to Settings > Disable Staking and say "yes" Go to Help > Console At the bottom type exactly this: walletpassphrase 'your passphrase' 9999999 false Then type: importprivkey theprivatekeystring7y8r9s4gfromthepaperwallet It will look like it glitches out and the debug window says (not responding) but DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING! It does this for quite a few minutes (like 5 minutes, seriously) and then you'll see it pop up on the main wallet window as a transaction and the debug screen looks normal again. Great work!
