adam matlack closely works with joe mordica the famous GAW CTO who knew he was selling air & negotiated power deal with MS power in his home town. who knows maybe joe is part of ION team as well  Cool

Joe Mordica is not part of ION team in any way or even i'd be running a mile

You say this yet you were still asking questions about the gawsuit this week when it's been established that he is working with Allen "gawsuit" shinners.

This is why I'm calling you either stupid or a scammer. It's been a year and you don't appear to have accepted the reality of the situation. You keep writing the GAW losses as "i got scammed" when in reality is you fell for an obvious scam that you should have seen coming because you did not use any common sense. That is why you are either stupid or a scammer. If you really thought Garza would buy coins from you for 20 bucks you are stupid. If you didn't believe that and you acted the way you did last year you are a scammer.

Now we have a similar situation, you sit here acting like we are bullying innocent people when we are just asking the logical questions that should be asked of these specific people because of the way they have acted in the past.

You say you would run from Mordica, did you not know he was working with the Gawsuit guy? If you didn't, you are stupid, if you did and acted the way you did the last week you are a scammer. I don't particularly care which one, because neither is to be trusted.

The GAW/Paycoin saga was such a big, obvious fuckup that no one involved as deeply as Matalack, team xpy, you, or any other team should have anything to do with any sort of cryptocurrency without them fully accounting for their role in the saga and explaining AND showing how this isn't going to happen again.

I'm not sure what you are trying to make out. The scam wasn't obvious to many, including me. I'd bet some employees at GAW that worked directly with Garza didn't know it was a scam at the start either.

I like to think I was a lot more "stupid" 18 months ago than I am now. Why do you think I am even here? I wasn't last year.

I am not giving the gawsuit guy (allen?) any money, in fact, not anything, so where does that come in to it? The gawsuit is independent of me, matlack, ION etc So where is it relevant?

Finally, I believe there is nothing that can be said that could change your view as your mind is already made up. That's fine, but don't get frustrated when others think differently, have different risk appetites or simply see things differently to you. This doesn't mean people who don't think like you are stupid, it just means they have their own thought processes.

It should have been obvious to you. He was selling $20 bills for $4. If you can't see that now, and admit and learn from it, you are stupid. the fact that you are willing to jump back into bed with the same people doing the same type of thing makes you either stupid or a scammer.

The gawsuit comes in from you asking about it somewhere in the last week, and also saying just now that you would be running from Mordica. Just to point out (to everyone else really, it seems you are beyond help) that you are either stupid or a scammer.

Especially with your comments about just gaining more BTC in the GAW thread, you will say anything to try and pump up anything you are invested with to get more bitcoins for yourself. That's fine for you, it's fine for me to point it out.

My mind is pretty made up, but that doesn't mean my questions are invalid or shouldn't be asked. If you are willing to give your money to the idiots/scammers of team xpy, that's good for you. It's not good for me, and I don't think it's good for anyone. If the idiot/scammers of team xpy and you are going to post bullshit (like you constantly mentioning this thread isn't monitored as a defense of their inability to come back and answer a very simple question they said they would answer here) I'm going to poke holes in it hoping that some other innocent person can stop themselves from being an idiot and losing their money.

given the number of trolls here, this looks interesting

Yup, us "trolls" that saw how "interesting" GAW was from the beginning lurking around are definitely a reason to invest here.

So you think every new coin launch is now automatically a scam?

Every post you make puts this to the top of altcoins list, great publicity for free, not your intention?

They probably are all scams, but the coins that are made by the people complicit in and/or too stupid to see the GAW scam for what it was especially so. Making sure people are able to see our very simple, basic, and unanswered questions is definitely my intention.

It's unfair to brand people who get scammed as stupid. It happens everyday to the best of us.

The paycoin links here do require attention, but it doesn't mean its automatically a scam.

I'm not saying that everyone who got scammed is stupid, I'm saying that people who fell for the GAW scam as hard as Matlack allegedly did has to either be stupid or in on the scam.

If you are willing to throw hundreds of thousands of dollars into miners that don't exist, and then spend a year "working" on a coin that sprung up from that scam with nothing to show for it, I really have no idea how you could claim you are smart enough/capable enough to do what they are claiming to do here.

It makes zero sense to me to get involved with anyone as publicly involved with GAW as team xpy was without full explanation for their involvement, how they were scammed, and how they are going to do things differently this time.

None of this has happened, we just have the same old people, who got scammed, did nothing trying to "fix" the scam, and now are starting over and copying many of the traits of garza when it comes to transparency and truth telling.

So tl;dr, what's the connection between XPY and ION and/or Garza (if any)?

ion is run by the team behind xpy.io, who were involved in paycoin. who knows what ganza's involvement is besides the obvious inspiration to rob marks. They accepted xpy to exchange for ion in something that reminds me of exchanging hashpoints for xpy, but what do i know.

A question to everyone...

Are you on a "heal the world mission" or are you trying to earn crypto money?

It's not possible to do both at the same time effectively. You can get BTC by buying it from your salary, or by earning it, and altcoins are very efficient for that effect. Why do you think there are so many?

Just wondering if we are on the same page.

I am on team stop idiots from losing money by giving it directly to con men, and stop con men from easily robbing marks.

A real time look at the stupidity of Martingale will be fun, but please just try to bet regularly, it's a much better plan that martingaling.

You should bet more on bets that you are more confident in, with this system you bet more just because you lost the bet before, which doesn't really make sense.

forgive me if someone else has asked this question.

what is the relationship between this project and the paycoin scam ?

As far as I know the people who tryed to save what was left from paycoin after the Garza scam finally left the coin behind and are trying to create a whole new coin with new features and new developers. To bad that because of so many people are yelling scam and a not to active topic starter, the topic is turning into a namecalling contest.

I say it is legit and could have a future but needs better communication.

Why would the people who failed at adding new features and developers to paycoin succeed now?

How long does it take them to answer a simple question? How will they be able to do anything that is actually hard?
Paycoin was doomed from the moment the scam came out. Because there where so many involved some people stood up and tryed to save what was left of it. It didn't work out. That's why they abandoned it. It is not fair to call these people scammers just because they tryed to save a scammed coin. Not fir the coin but for the people involved.
I agree there is a lack on communication. They obviously chose to mainly start this topic as a announcement topic only. It's there good right if they want it this way imo. They have stated several times to go to their Slack channel if you have questions. They choose to do it this way and it's not their fold that many people here don't want to go to that Slack channel to have their questions answered. In stead of going there they're just calling ion a scam. Not fair imo. But I will probably be called a shill for stating this. Because that's just the way some people react in this place. Smiley

Why do you and mr. coins keep saying that like it matters?

the user that started this thread was in here answering questions, and specifically said that he would come back to this thread and post an answer to a specific question. He still hasn't done that.

"tryed to save what was left of it" is also a big red flag to me. It WAS doomed from the start, and people that fell for it and/or wasted time or energy trying to fix show a severe lack of intelligence for wasting their time/falling for such an obvious scam.

IF they are completely separate, they should be yelling and screaming it out loud to show and prove to everyone that they are completely separate.

Even if they do that, I seriously question the intelligence of anyone getting into this particular type of business with people stupid enough to get scammed by Garza with paycoin. The fact that they are starting the same half-truth and question avoidance characteristics of GAW is another big red flag. How many red flags is too many?

Failures can reveal what we need to accomplish to achieve our goals or even what’s the best route to reach that target. Failures can reveal unexpected gaps in our competencies to reach our shared goals, competencies that we need to address if we are to succeed in our collective efforts. Is failure and trying again a reason to question one's intelligence? Keeping the community together using the staker platform xpy.io was the right decision and the only way to start a new project. A coin will not succeed without a community.

Believing that hashlets existed is reason to question one's intelligence. Taking a year to "fix" xpy and not accomplishing anything is reason to question someone's intelligence. Being unable to provide proof of the company's registration 48 hours after saying you would is reason to question someone's intelligence and/or integrity.

873  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io ION ionomy. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 23, 2016, 06:15:39 PM
.

1) I've stated already that the company information that I got in that it's existing company and the name change is not showing yet, so the company is setup since 2014 as the company is the existing platform XPY.io. But to me, the company is no indicator of whether this is a scam or not. It's easy to setup a company, in the UK I can spend £20 to setup a legit company structure with no liability for losses. So the company info for me is not very important or meaningful in terms of honest intent.
!

Right, so the fact remains that when they stated Ionomy PTE was a company registered in Singapore they lied.

What is worse is that they use that lie to entice people to buy in to their ICO.

You keep asserting it makes no difference if they are registered or not, I will continue to assert that when you claim to be representing a legal entity for the purpose of soliciting funding that it seems very likely you are committing fraud.

Now, having refused to divulge this information themselves & used you to direct people to their slack channel it is again you who comes back & provides this new information.

Shill, much?

If you think a £20 registered company makes it more legit then that's up to you. I know how easy it is to register a company so it means nothing to me.

It doesn't make this (or any other) project more or less likely to fail/be a scam.

Will we ever get beyond the name calling stage?

Its not a matter of the 20 making them legitimte, but it is a huge red flag.

If the business registration is irrelevant, they shouldn't have mentioned it.

Buy I question how a company unable to do something simple like prove they are a registered company would be able to do any of the other stuff they are planning to do.

Can a company that needs 48 hours to answer a simple question do the things they are setting out to do?
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ION [ION] | ICO LIVE | PoS 3.0 | Mobile Gaming | Join the ionomy today! on: April 23, 2016, 05:19:20 PM
Agreed. Probably because they don't have it!  Tongue

On the business registration I asked the same question...

The business is not a new registration, it's been running the XPY.io platform (not XPY the coin) and so it was actually registered sometime in 2014, right now a name change to "Ionomy" is in progress and it is not completed or showing online yet. This was the official response from Huey in Slack.

Why would you put your faith in a company when user ionomy was unable to get that information and share it here, like he said he would?

Why did he just say that instead of providing us that information so that we can see i for ourselves and find out how official this is and who is willing ot put their names on it?

what's the Data for Ganzas trial?

http://ia601307.us.archive.org/32/items/gov.uscourts.ctd.110362/gov.uscourts.ctd.110362.docket.html

I'm going to put this in the OP as well.

Nice info - this is one reason why i'm staying!

I've been getting varying and contradictory feedback on the gawsuit.com as to whether it can succeed or is even real.

Do you have any opinion on the gawsuit.com process as it stands now?

Considering that the guy running the "gawsuit" is business partners with the guy who ran the data center that didn't contain any hashlets or pay their electricity bill or do anything but rob rubes, I'm guessing it will go about as swimmingly as every other GAW-project.

So what did we determine on this coin? Is it a scam? legit?

It's a very high risk venture.

The model is more interesting that many coins i've been involved in, the old XPY.io platform was nice to use so a new coin with a platform makes it at least more fun that just trading the waves on Bittrex.

I swapped my XPY for ION during the swap stage so i'll be here for a while. It can't be worse that XPY but as for putting in new money.... Don't invest more than you can afford to lose - if in doubt, wait a few weeks/months to see how things turn out.

There's a lot of details to be worked out (the coin isn't launched yet) but the basic model has been outlined, i like the whitepaper and the slack community is very active. I'd like to see more details though before i threw 100 BTC into it.

IMO the main risk is whether the model works, not that it is an intentional scam to steal your BTC.
May have to hop into slack. I took a break from crypto in 2015 but came back to invest (Lisk, maybe Waves). I see ICOs are back with a vengeance. So I was reading through many of the ICO threads. Thanks for the info!

Not sure why you would waste your time sorting through the slack channel when they can't even post something simple like info about their business registration here after they said that they would.

So what did we determine on this coin? Is it a scam? legit?

It's run by people either involved in the GAW scam or too stupid to realize it was a scam.

They claim the business is registered but it has been coming up on 40 hours since the OP said he would find out and inform us in this thread with the specifics to the company's registration, not sure how it takes so long for a legitimate business to prove they are registered.

It's up to you to figure out whether or not you think it's a scam or not.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ION [ION] | ICO LIVE | PoS 3.0 | Mobile Gaming | Join the ionomy today! on: April 22, 2016, 10:20:08 PM
It says this in the ANN:

"****Note**** This is an announcement thread only. It may or may not be monitored by the ionomy.com team. If you would like to discuss ion, ionomy.com, or talk directly to the team and developers to call them scammers, please join us on our slack channel. Automatic invites are available at slack.ionomy.com, or by contacting us at support.ionomy.com****NOTE****"

So I wouldn't hold your breath for responses here. Head over to Slack if you want to engage them in real time.

http://slack.ionomy.com

Could you just please tell them to post it here. Or ask them and post it here yourself. Making people go to some chatroom to ask simple questions that should be answered publicly for everyone to see - that's just one of many red flags.

Plenty of people are making it over to Slack and asking lots of valid and interesting questions.

This page is not manned as previously stated in the OP, but head over to Slack and you can get answers to everything direct from the team.

Slack: http://slack.ionomy.com

So your response to a suggestion to not use chat for important business information is to use chat for important business information? I mean Garza's move to a walled garden called hashtalk (actually hashsomethingelse initially) was retarded enough, but this is taking it to a whole new level. So legit.

Underground unregistered securities. The SEC must be so proud of this innovation. The mysterious Singapore entity will surely protect the US-based principals, it's amazing how nobody else ever thought of circumventing securities regulations like that.

The OP states that this thread is "announcement" only. So it's unreasonable to expect more than that.

This wasn't my decision. I'm just an XPY.io platform user that swapped my XPY for ION when it was offered, I didn't make up this thread.

In my opinion, if this thread cannot be monitored, then it should be locked.

How exactly is it unreasonable to expect user ionomy to answer a specific question in this thread after user ionomy said he would answer that specific question in this thread?

All in can lead to a disaster if you are not lucky. Most people I know who bet all that they've got ended up loosing, also you can see it with their answers i your thread that most of them ended up with nothing.
Anyway, this is a nice experimentation and it would be fun to watch what will happen with your bets. What gambling game are you planning to test this out?

It is possible! A tipster on this very forum had a 15 W streak

15 wins in a row I don't call that "luck"

So had I followed those tips doing All in each time I would have at least doubled my money.

Only doubling your money on 15 in a row is awful. To win 15 in a row you need to make easy picks/heavy favorites.

This is stupid. You should bet more on bets that have a better chance to win, and less on longshots.
