~
What I know is that it is not easy to control or help someone that is already an addict and we must try our best to let them know that gambling addiction is something that can be stop with the help of both parties. If a gambler is not ready to stop or too sluggish to put some certains to an end and help to set up a boundary then things is not going to work out well. It is obviously hard for a person to stop gambling when he is already addicted, the best thing to do is to help him reduce the addiction before putting an end to it.

To be honest, I don't know if it's possible to reduce an addiction. A friend of mine, a former gambling addict, once told me that addiction is such a thing that you either have it, or you don't. You can't reduce it. He was cured by a professional, and he has no addiction know, and I'm happy for him, but it's from him that I know that only a good professional can help you to end your addiction.

You have a point here. There’s no such thing as reduce addiction especially on gambling which online casino is accessible to everyone. Our mind will keep looking on it once we Are hook on something else. We can take illegal drugs as an example here. There’s no way to reduce addiction as long as the user is exposed to substances since he use as an escape when he feel stress. This is same gambling addiction but the difference is gambling is not illegal which is very hard to control once you get addicted because you have no sense of limitations since that is completely legal.
862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: July 23, 2023, 04:40:49 PM
Dear Average Joe and Jane in the Bitcointalk Community,

You should do this kind of appeal on a community that doesn’t engaged on Bitcoin instead here which most people knew this forum since they knew and invest on Bitcoin. Social media and other forum that is not crypto related should be your target if you want to encourage average person to Bitcoin on current price.

Most of users here holds Bitcoin mostly high rank since signature campaign here is paid by Bitcoin. This campaign is good but maybe do it with audience that is not involved on Bitcoin.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: July 23, 2023, 04:36:43 PM
As long as it's all in crypto, that's fine with me, why? because it's easier, if a casino has for BTC, but it seems that the price of btc goes up, obviously the fee goes up in price, and sometimes the fees are so high that they don't even make you withdraw, that's why I've said many times if bitcoin when it goes over $100k if there's no way they can lower the fee, or they can do something like an internal exchange, people will have a lot of hassle and this is not good for the casino, unless they are so many different casinos where they take their losses like in the bitcasino.io case that withdrawals are totally free, like this many, others have lower fees.

If fee is your only concern then use casino that has free withdrawal fee like Bitcasino, Livecasino, Sportsbet and Winz.io. Withdrawal fee is not an issue anymore since there's a lot of casino that waiver their withdrawal in exchange for wagering x1 of your deposit before you can withdraw since there's a high chance that you lose part of your bankroll while completing the required wagering requirements.

I think the fee of Bitcoin will keep increasing in terms of fiat value in long term. Using stablecoin is a better choice to gamble with less transaction fee and be protected on volatility.

That is the law, brother, when you play, the first thing you should imagine is how much money you are willing to lose, so that it does not become unbalanced later, because things can change anyway,
Right we are gambling just with a hope to win otherwise we are putting all the funds at stake through our wager so we should be prepared for the loss and don't fee too much bad about it afterwards. If you win that's your luck but be prepared for loss scenario always.

I’m always prepared to loss my bet yet I'm always feel upset whenever I loss all my bankroll. I think we can’t remove the fact that feeling bad and upset every loss is a part of gambling since we are always saying to prepared losses.

Using spare money that you consider to grow by gambling will always give a pain when take away from you. As gambler, I don’t really believe that there’s a way to accept to loss without feeling bad about it.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Return Hardware Wallet That Contains 3+ BTC in a Hotel Room? on: July 22, 2023, 05:17:15 PM
Returning it to the owner is the best thing to do not only because it’s the ethical way but also it’s useless to owned the hardware wallet since you can’t access it without the seed phrase. The owner can easily import his backup seed phrase on a non custodial wallet to recover his funds immediately before you can brute force or reverse engineer a hard ware wallet.

You can receive a reward money to the owner if you returned rather than having a useless hardware wallet unless you sell it as second hand in the market.  Cheesy
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hack! Uniswap founder Hayden Adams' Twitter Account on: July 22, 2023, 04:51:07 PM
I don't even know who the fuck is handle the twitter account. It's likely hacker was even smarter than those big names.

The title already described the complete identity of the hacked twitter account. It’s impossible to not know uniswap unless you are not trading altcoins which is ironic because you are posting here on altcoin discussion.

I knew mostly these hackers were coming from the phishing email that being sent to the victim's address.

It’s impossible for Hayden Adams to be a victim of phishin since he is well known on coding as he developed the first successful defi DEX. Probably his account got brute force while his account security is weak.
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be watchful it's not yet time on: July 22, 2023, 04:00:19 PM
After some incident in my trading life I have completely now avoiding those new token or what ever you said alternative coins for investing. Because my personal opinion is when you have better option in front of you why you will take the riskes. There is Bitcoin is the best option for investing avoid losses and also there is available that top pairs of alternative coin for investing. So why I would put my feet on the trap. Anyway if anyone on invest in alternative I mean new tokens then the fun should be smallest.

Not all new tokens is scam but most of new tokens is scam. Real talk. Bitcoin won’t make you avoid losses instead it only reduces your potential losses since altcoin risk is terrible like what happened to Luna and FTX that literally make your holdings worth a penny.

That’s why investing on new tokens needs to be done moderately to avoid huge losses. It’s a high risk high reward. If you can’t afford or handle risk then choosing Bitcoin as sole investment is the right thing to do for a safe trading experience in crypto.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hacksaw gaming slot game experience on: July 22, 2023, 02:52:37 PM
As for the game graphics, I think it's almost the same as other slot providers. But it seems like we need very high luck to win and even win a little money from slot games from this provider. Perhaps, I will try to play one or more of the slot games later.

It’s really not the same in terms of graphics. Nolimit, Hacksaw and Relax Gaming are the top 3 slot provider that provides slot games with cool graphics and style that other slot provider failed to deliver. Playngo and Pragmatic are both same normal style slot games but they have the best hit ratio among slot providers based on my experience.

I understand the frustration of OP with this provider but Hacksaw did pay me huge multiplier by playing Anubis. I believe it’s all about luck on who will get that massive payout.
870  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 22, 2023, 02:44:11 PM

How can you value your reputation and not post a single explanation about a website being offline for 3 full weeks now? And how is that not intentional if you have logged in to your representative account several times in this forum (as we all can see)?

Betwrong is posting based on his experience as he already mention so clearly he has high hopes on this project and with extended understanding unlike other users here that doesn’t have any experience participating on the Betnomi contests when they are still active here.

On normal user point of view, You are right on your speculation about Bernomi since 3 weeks is already too long for being offline but still many have faith on them  since most of us here knew Betnomi for many years with their active contest and giveaway here.

Just like you, I consider this as scam too until they come back.

Where do i use this at ?

That’s your address to receive Bitcoin from other user. It’s like your bank account number to receive Bitcoin and you can access it through your private key. You can call it too as public key since that’s the information you can share in public while private key gives you access on that wallet.

How do you know Bitcoin btw? That’s the basic knowledge that you need to understand before you get involved on owning actual Bitcoin.
873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $1,080 Billion powerball lotto winner in the USA on: July 21, 2023, 02:15:59 PM
I just saw a news on youtube that someone won the $1,080 Billion jackpot prize on the Powerball lotto in the US.
The comma will mistakenly assume your thread to be 1.08 Trillion instead of 1.08 Billion reward because you use 3 digit after the comma.
I'm confused, how would you type out one billion eighty-five million? wouldn't it be $1,085 Billion?

If you read the caption on the video that you share, It is even written as 1.08 Billion and not your re-word 1,080 Billion. FYI, 1000 Billion = 1 Trillion so 1.08 Trillion is correct if a comma is used as a thousand separator. I'm just saying that your use of comma is viewed as thousand separator and not as decimal due to the 3 digits after.

so, why would a $1,080 with a "billion" next to it be mistaken for a trillion?

That's the whole point of my post, You can simply write 1,08 Billion. But I'm not saying you are wrong but only an opinion that it might be mistaken. Cheesy

I don't want to argue anymore on this dumb argument. You've got an interesting news here.

anyway, it still really surprises me that if the winner decides to take the prize in one lump sum, they will only get half of the total price because of the taxes that will be taken out.
I think claiming it lump sum is his or her best option since powerball organizers can’t hold the money for a long time while the winner can put his money on stock market, bank and crypto to personally manage it. The tax is part of the prize and every powerball knew that. They still just add the tax on the grand prize to make it more appetizing to all bettors.

What really surprised me is someone claiming that he won jackpot prize publicly.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 20, 2023, 03:30:05 PM
How much less amount are you talking about?

Peeps are doing 100x or 500x all the time with the tiny amounts like 10 or 20 cents. Most of these high rollers can be found in the slot section of casino. However note that doing 500x of ten cents is not big amount in monetary value but only in multiplication or wagering levels.

If you had seen Roobets or Duelbits games on “highest multiplier” then it was literally common during that period we seen such high rolled. Even it was around 600-700x too.

However, hardly seen someone betting 10-20 dollars and rolling that high.

Totally agree, base bet usually small amount and winning even max multiplier is not enough to trigger the KYC. I think only those wagering huge amount that manage to huge multiplier are subjected to this scenario but many user sare still confused on how KYC works, They thought that it always because of the amount of money involved neglecting the main reason which is the account involved is somehow show some shady activity.

Many newbie reported scam accusation with this same story but most of them are casino cheaters and using the forum to find support against casino. So far, No reputable or high rank user here experienced this kind of incident.

877  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much time for a Duelbits withdrawal? Been 24h+ on: July 19, 2023, 04:15:50 PM
I just think that withdrawing $20k from a site is a warning to the site to check the account first to make sure everything is ok. Moreover, you deposited $ 12k, and your total deposit and withdrawal was very large. So it's normal for Duelbits to check your account first before processing it.

Duelbits allow withdrawal instantly even with higher amount. I think this case is all about OP being new without KYC or due to the transaction being stuck on the blockchain.

On the other post of OP. He mention that even support doesn't know what's the real issue. We don't know of this is the exact reply but most probably the reason is between the KYC or pending transaction.
Customer support said they don’t know why it is being delayed and that they don’t have any timeframe on when this could be resolved.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you feels like only draw is your win on Blackjack on: July 17, 2023, 04:36:31 PM

I'm still lose or draw whenever I have blackjack or 20 while the dealer hand is 6,5,4,3 and 2. What really surprising is they always get a lower card to get a perfect 21 or 20 to beat me or draw. I'm not telling they are rig but this kind of bad luck is really sucks to experience and make me loss my appetite to gamble more.

I never encounter this streak on my long experience playing in Evo BJ. But I watch many clips like this on my favorite streamer that play Blackjack. They keep saying the game was rigged since all of their cards got destroyed with a low chance 20 and 21 dealer card from multiple low value card of dealer.

If you think about it, You experienced this kind of cards too when you are winning against the dealer. You just didn’t notice it because you win but you definitely have those kind of cards which you beat the 20 of dealer with your bounce back 21 and 20.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto betting on: July 17, 2023, 02:57:49 PM
My question now would be, at which crypto bookies can i deposit without hesitation? I am only interested in sports betting, so all bets should be settled correctly and payouts should be carried out without any problems. Also, maybe someone can comment on betting limits and bans/limits if you're a successful punter. I already know stake and am really very satisfied. Can you name bookies that act in a similarly serious and uncomplicated manner?

Duelbits.com is one of the reputable sportsbook here in the forum that has a long active signature campaign for their promotion here. You will see how serious they are to promote their business by spending tons of money to promotion here for many years.

Duelbits has no serious issue or unresolved issue. It has a high betting limits that suits to to your need. Their sportsbook promotion is one of a kind because they sometimes boost odds doubled or more in every sports category.

Just read the ToS and familiarize on it so that you will not encounter problem in the future. Welcome here in the forum.

TrustDice representative here. I would like to reiterate that we are sorry to see what's happening here to a fellow casino/sportsbook and its customers. These unfortunate incidents not only affect Betnomi themselves but might also erode trust in the entire crypto iGaming sector, which could have repercussions for all crypto casinos & sportsbooks including ourselves.

Don’t worry about this since Bitcointalk forum gamblers known risk like this since we witness a lot of scam from casino that once very active here. Actually, this is not limited only on igaming industry but literally on all the crypto sectors like exchanges and defi.

It's nice to see a fellow operator representative showing care to all the potential victims here and giving insight on the issue.
