Anyway great project w good technology and partners and developers  I don't hold much of it but i want to see iot flourish in the market they have a good concept about providing security for Iot devices. I hope it gets implemented. Their concept is really solid. Security is one thing everyone loves having. If they can really implement it as said, then the world will definitely welcome them with open hands and that means only one things, token value rise. IoT device security is only going to become more and more important, there's always news articles about breaches due to an IoT device, I think IOTChain has entered the market at a great time. We are looking at a future where IoT devices supersede even Human, I don't know how this is possible but it is been projected that in the long run IoT will take over from traditional method of the internet fully I have noticed lots of good post and tweets regarding ITC project. Might be they will allow to withdraw tokens but I guess they will not allow to anyone for buying or selling until their official announcement about exchanges or listing. I think there were already KWATT coins on FD quite some time ago, dumped by bounty hunters. Don't know if it's possible then to lock the tokens somehow. The easiest way would be to just not make it possible to withdraw them. I have personally searched for KWATT on FD to see if any book have been open but i couldn't find any, i searched with the intention of buying more, so i strongly believe KWATT hasn't been listed anywhere yet The contract is still locked due to the incident that happened earlier where bounty hunter's went to dump the tokens on FD. I don't wish to see it being listed now before the sales end. When did that happen? looks like I have missed that happening even though I have been following them for quite a good time. Either case they can't release the token until they are through the KYC process. Not sure when that will be finished. Lots of confusion regarding listing, tokens delivery, ICO end date and all. We should contact 4new team over telegram and ask to clarify this. I was about to propose the same. However if somebody get all the relevant information, please post it here for the benefit of everyone here in this forum. 4NEW team should definitely clear all these doubts. In 3 days time all sales as regards this project will be done with. 14 Hours, and then we will have the pre-listing sale. I just can't wait for it. When the coin changed from frn to kwatt, investors got a 7x times token bonus at xmas, then now they get those coins doubled again.. back then ETH was around $300-400, so because of all of these 'bonuses' they've made $4000+ at ICO prices.. Anyone who sees this being $2 on exchanges is in for a horrible suprise imo. (if anyone is wondering how I got this figure, It was around 160 'FRN' for 1 ETH. 7x bonus at xmas puts you upto 1120 KWATT, now with the 100% bonus, that's 2240 KWATT, with a token price of $2 per KWATT, a total of $4480) As an early investor you have now gotten really many tokens for free. Kind of annoying that I found the project not at the beginning. On the other hand, I do not know if it is good for the value of the token when so many free-tokens are in circulation. But we'll see if the token is listed once (whenever that will be) Wow, 4480 USD worth of KWATT for just one ETH? Buy why so many bonuses? Yeah I have been wondering too. I have been trying to reach out to them I hope all is well with the project. At least they should try to be filling us in with their progress. Thus when they realize bitfence defence system, they will definitely seek ways to bypass Yeah, there is no two ways about it, they will have to keep updating their software and firmware, I mean I thought people would have understood that, it's just like your anti-virus has to download definitions. Exactly. Just developing product with not help. They have to keep upgrading it with new safety features. Hacker will be able to hack BitFence device within few months if no update received. In today's world, where hackers are very smart. They are usingatest technologies, device for hacking. I have never seen any security product without continuous improvement/update and I think BitFence will also need to do the same. |

People seem to forget that hackers aren’t exactly easy to catch just because an ip is a source of an attack doesn’t mean that’s the attacker it could just be an insecure network being used to relay an attackers actions that’s why most smalltime hacks don’t get prosecuted it’s better to stop it be trying to rigure out the true source
Yeah true, it's a fact being stated cause even if they are caught they could as well destroy the source and deny the act, I wish a secret camera capture can be put in place aside tracking of IP And how would you do a secret camera capture ? I mean everyone want that, but that is even more difficult than tracking a IP. You have nowadays a lot of tools to get a IP from someone you want. Lol what the hell is a 'secret camera capture'? This is the whole point that BitFence is trying to do, because IP address alone isn't evidence, they will be fingerprinting each detected hacker with their own signature. What is that? a secret camera capture? is that suppose to be some sort of pattern capture or a literal camera capture from the stingminer? This is interesting even google returns camera images lol. There is a tier approach to this. In the whitepaper three were mentioned If you hold SEEDs bettween 1 to 9999. You are a normal member. If you hold something between 10000–99999 SEED tokens allows you to have priority access to icos. If you hold more than 100000 SEEDs you can even reserve tokens in an ico. You're absolutely right, that simply means an increase in the market value of the project with every new entry that is made in the crypto world will lead to a potential increase in the value of the token and is not just the cryptosphere that this is applicable but the traditional means too, so the project has a huge market base, its relevance will keep growing I agree with you Mate. Cryptocurrency market is clos to $500B+ I think. This means lots of hackers will be active and trying to steal the data/wallet. That's why I think BitFence products will be in demand. I read it somewhere they gonna serve as platform for other business to showcase their product and service, they even stated that Amazon, Walmart and Alibaba will be listing product on vanig platform. So they will definitely be supporting third party vendor I love this.. If they go ahead and get this companies to list products in the platform vanig will get the recognition it deserves for sure. But i would advice that Vanig vets the third party business well to ensure they are up to the task. So they officially confirmed that those companies will be listing products on the platform? Where does it say that? I can't see how Amazon would want to list their products on another platform? I guess the important thing to remember is that if Vanig can list other products and sell them - it would be in Amazon's best interest to get extra sells through third party companies such as Vanig - making everyone a winner Yea and that part was stressed in reference to the artificial intelligence process, the learning machine can generate the list based on inputs or data collected from a lot of users and streamline the list to the needs of the users and not just that, the product list will actually be from verified sellers whose products are known to be of top quality I thought Vanig will be in competition with other e-commerce platform like Amazon eBay. But it seems to be different case. Vanig is an ecommerce platform, so yea, the above brand are competitors but the fact is, vanig is doing something much more unique in terms of approach, the use of AI and coupled with the fact that the project is based on the blockchain industry as opposed to the centralized concept which the traditional ecommerce site offers, so they have an edge I have one doubt here, I was expecting Vanig platform to give additional discount compare to other e-commerce platforms. Ao if Amazon is going to sell a product using Vanig then why they will offer the product at low price compared to their own platform? Amazon doesn’t really have its own products to my knowledge they are a middleman that relays items to consumers much in the way i understand vanig plans to work but in fiat vs crypto or that’s how I understand it Yeah apart from the Kindle, Fire Tablets and the Echo they don't really produce a lot of their products/items, they have mastered the supply chain and they are a company that Vanig should definitely take inspiration from. Okay, so if Amazon don't have lots of own products that means most of the other manufacturers are selling products using Amazon platform and same manufacturers can use Vanig platform. And Vanig can offer more discount. |

People seem to forget that hackers aren’t exactly easy to catch just because an ip is a source of an attack doesn’t mean that’s the attacker it could just be an insecure network being used to relay an attackers actions that’s why most smalltime hacks don’t get prosecuted it’s better to stop it be trying to rigure out the true source
I think the proactive approach with this one is what is most interesting. Since the honey pot would actively attract and analyze hacking attempts almost instantly and distribute to the rest of the network you are basically protecting before the attack happens. Also a more experienced hacker will know what a honeypot is and how it works. And can in turn use it against the miners. How can bitfence prevent this ? That's exactly what their lead team member said in the video interview, that they know IP's can be comprimised which is why each hackers fingerprint will be unique, and not include IP and machine name etc. So the miner will identify the hacker via fingerprint rather than IP address/ hostname? That way, it doesn't matter what IP address they are on as we all know - often they are hiding behind a VPN Wow, thanks for the explanation/ good discussion guys. Initially I also thought honeypot concept will not last longer, but it seems BitFence team have done deep study and have solutions to the problems. |
