The situation I observe is that there is still a lot of excitement about testnet activities, some names that I still see are getting a lot of attention: zksync, venom, starknet, base,...
Perhaps the expectation is that a fee ecosystem will have an advantage over projects that only operate in the current testnet state...

From what you've listed, only Venom is currently doing testing in testnet. Starknet, zkSynk and Base are already working on the main network and if you dream of getting airdrop from them, you need to spend real money.
882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: chart reading and prediction on: September 30, 2023, 09:55:11 PM
everyone on twitter, insta reel and youtube is making prediction related to different cryptos based on chart lines. Do you still believe these chart reading?

If you consider charts useless, then you are rejecting technical analysis, for which the basis is the analysis of charts in order to predict the price movement in the future. The fact that you do not understand anything when you look at the graph does not mean that they are useless at all, but shows the lack of knowledge you have, which is solved by training.
883  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: September 30, 2023, 09:02:10 PM
... trade only Bitcoin.
Bitcoin doesn't just give you profit, it gives you security, it obeys market structure...

It is possible that Bitcoin trading is safer in relation to altcoins, but even the positions of professional traders are liquidated when the price sharply increases or decreases. Therefore, no matter what you trade, you need to adhere to the risk management strategy.

...After all, it's a very important lesson to know that HODL is purely a mental challenge. If you want to HODL correctly, you should know and pay attention to all points mentioned above.  Smiley

If you are a Hodler, have you determined the price for yourself when you will sell your Bitcoins, or does hodl not involve selling coins at all? And from my experience, I can add that Bitcoins are most often lost when you try to increase their number with the help of trading.

...I used starknet for good while, bridged funds there, however there were updates that I was unaware of (it was my fault tho because I wasn't in starknet/argentx/braavos channel to know what's up), there was particular migration update, I didn't know about it, now my addresses are changed, with my actual old addresses with funds unable to open.

Try to create a new wallet and import the seed phrase from your wallet there. I do not know for sure whether my advice will help or not, but I think that this method should be tried as a last opportunity to regain control of your finances.
It doesn't work that way. Starknet had chain upgrade where you had to give consent to upgrade through wallets (braavos/argentx) so you keep custody of addresses and funds therein, if you didn't give consent your addresses would have been changed, which is what happened to me.

I am aware of this and I have upgraded my wallets in a timely manner. But did you try to do as I suggested, or are you so confident that you decided not to even try to use the last chance? It will take a few minutes to create a new wallet and import a seed phrase into it, do not ignore this possibility.

887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Comparison between the Year vs Criteria of the Airdrops on: September 29, 2023, 10:36:44 PM
qualification got more difficult and difficult as the time goes because quite literally everyone is participating in airdrops, if the rewards is so small when the task is so complicated the project
will definitely gets ridiculed thats why they impose stricter requirements.
i remember sei with its complicated task, and reward so small, many member furious and mock the projects, despite the fact the already imposed rules to qualify.

If we take for example the criteria by which the Arkham airdrop was paid, then they were the simplest. To get the minimum airdrop, it was enough just to register on the site. But no one can assume the exact criteria by which the next airdrop will be distributed, which forces participants to perform sometimes unnecessary interactions on the network.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Starknet Airdrop Speculation on: September 29, 2023, 05:16:49 PM
IMO, based on the tragedy from (SAI) all of these people who are hoping Airdrop makes some movement and the company has some damage because hashtag #SAISCAM trending on twitter...

Despite the abundance of various coins, there are no SAI coins yet. I can assume that you are writing about SUI, whose team, instead of airdrop, gave an opportunity to those who registered with Discord to take part in the sale. Yes, it was really a big disappointment for those who created dozens of wallets hoping to get airdrop.
889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA on a real account: does it work? on: September 29, 2023, 04:55:57 PM
Have you defined for yourself any time frame during which you will buy coins? After all, in the end everything will depend on the amount of money in your wallet. And if you run out of money, and the value of Bitcoin continues to decline, then you will get an unacceptable average value of the coin.
The way my investment strategy works is on a short-term basis on the 3-hour time frame. There will be purchases that last for just one day or even less before becoming profitable, as well as some that extend beyond one month. Consequently, there is no need for an infinite amount of capital. There is a video on mi tiktok explaining how it works. There is a video on my tiktok that explains how it works.

In this case, your current strategy has nothing to do with DCA and it is unclear why you used this abbreviation in the name of the thread. You should understand that a characteristic feature of the DCA strategy is the systematic nature and duration during which it is used.

The idea is that my investment method works by averaging purchase prices, but on a short-term basis while making them profitable. You are correct; I should have used a different term in the thread. However, if you read the post, it mentions that it combines elements of DCA and Grid trading, albeit only certain characteristics from these methods.

DCA cannot be used for short-term trading. You get a profit only due to the fact that the market allows you to close previously opened longs. But if the price will be regularly reduced, not allowing you to sell previously purchased coins, you will not be able to stick to your strategy for a short-term deal.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Launchpad Tokens on: September 28, 2023, 09:21:25 PM
...A cross over above the black line might make a good buy signal...

If we recall all the projects for which Binance conducted Launchpad, then we can see that all these projects after listing showed hundreds of percent of profit, and subsequently greatly decreased in price. And as you point out, all of them after accumulation increased in value very quickly, easily exceeding ATH. And I don't even doubt that HOOK, ID and EDU is waiting for the same scenario.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Starknet Airdrop Speculation on: September 28, 2023, 09:04:48 PM
...I will share my ones. Please share yours...

You have listed all the criteria that were used by the Arbitrum team to distribute airdrop among early users of the network. All these multipliers will be taken as a basis by other projects that will also decide to distribute airdrop. As for the Starknet, you can also add the use of an official bridge https://starkgate.starknet.io.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i invest in this project or not on: September 28, 2023, 08:35:48 PM
I think it's not about how new or old is the projects domain but it's about their credibility. We need to check if the people behind it are real people and then we can proceed about the idea of their project...

And how can you find out when the team wants to remain anonymous? I did not find the team on their official website, which also does not inspire confidence in this project. Actually, most similar projects hide their team, as if they are preparing in advance to turn the project into a scam.

894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Layerzero Speculation airdrop on: September 27, 2023, 08:08:08 PM
Your math calculation is nice to see but unfortunately you didn't take some things into consideration for your calculations. For instance, There would most likely be varying amount per participant – all participants won't receive same amounts. That, and the fact that layerzero has about 500K+ active Mainnet users the last time I checked. If you factor all of this in, you'll see that the allocation will differ per user.

You have obviously been interested in LayerZero statistics for a very long time, since today more than 3 million wallets have been registered that interacted with L0 and which theoretically have the right to airdrop. Given such a large number of wallets, we can say for sure that not everyone will receive airdrop, as the team will develop certain criteria that will reduce their number several times.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with spam and scam tokens on my wallet? on: September 27, 2023, 07:23:51 PM
...My sole intention is to differentiate between the tokens I genuinely use and those that are considered junk. So, at the very least, I need to have two wallets for this filtering process, where one wallet's address is publicized, and the other remains undisclosed.

It doesn't matter if you publish your address publicly or try to hide it from the public, such spam tokens will still come to you if any activity is noticed on the new wallet. This is due to the fact that the sender does not use any publicly published data, but extracts the necessary information from the blockchain.
896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA on a real account: does it work? on: September 27, 2023, 07:01:52 PM
I began testing the strategy on September 15th of this year. As you rightly mentioned, in addition to TikTok, I will also prepare an Excel spreadsheet to track and demonstrate the progress. Moreover, I believe it would be beneficial to create a website to showcase how the strategy works. Thank you for the suggestion; I will definitely consider it.

1 year ago btc was worth about 18k usd  and now it is above 26.
That's is about 50% up...

And if we count it differently?
2 years ago, the price of Bitcoin was about 69 thousand dollars and it is more than 2 times more than today. Thus, the OP would have a loss of more than 50%. Accordingly, it is very important to take into account at which price levels the DCA strategy was used.

899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Celestia airdrop live on: September 26, 2023, 10:32:02 PM
I heard first time about this project. Unfinished my address is not eligible for airdrop. I check manually by putting address. Eligibility criteria is not easy, not everyone and only pro users will be eligible for airdrop. The easiest one is to interect with Github but who know that only interection will be criteria for airdrop. Ethereum users had to make points and minimum fund needed was 50$. I have joined many airdrop and tried to met criteria but this one I totally missed.

What do you think how much token will users recieved and price of the token?

As I understand it, this airdrop was also distributed to those wallets that previously received airdrop from Arbitrum. And I have no illusions that this airdrop will somehow improve my financial situation, and it is unlikely that it will be more than $50. However, everyone who is eligible to receive this airdrop must receive it by October 17, 2023.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: September 26, 2023, 03:39:21 PM
low cap altcoins are fine. Just control risk and do not put too much capital or % dollar worth you can not tolerate losing. ..

Of course, there is a small chance that such an altcoin may increase in price several times. But everyone should understand that a chance is not a guarantee at all and it is quite possible that such an altcoin will show you a super dump instead of a pump.
