Btw. Anybody else facing so high rejections rate ?

Quote
Accepted shares: 1696
 Rejected shares: 103

It's different on all my miners, but definitely much higher than the days before the attack

A: 3052 R: 284
A: 4609 R: 193

And so on

Seems like I always have a reject every time a new block is announced, and then some

Pool is down ....
885  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Merged Mining is here! PPS for NMC and BTC enabled [20+ GHs] on: October 10, 2011, 09:42:43 AM
Can never be an increase, we have been mining NMC at this level since July, so it will be 3 months at this difficulty, will always be lower

The new difficulty however will go by so fast you can hold your breath during, so the diff after the next will be really high again and probably converge towards the BTC difficulty if merged mining is being introduced by the larger pools as well
886  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Merged Mining is here! PPS for NMC and BTC enabled [20+ GHs] on: October 10, 2011, 08:52:33 AM
If this hashing power keeps up, we will be at the lower difficulty somewhere next week !

That's the Silver lining SAC Smiley

In the end it does not matter if a big pool starts merged mining as well.... It is a problem if they do it without telling their miners however

Can't believe any of the bigger pools would be foolish enough to do so, seeing as they would lose their miners for sure

On the other hand, maybe not many miners care, since they didn't jump to the merged mining pools in droves as far as I can tell

It might be Eligius,

Maybe Luke got it up and running sooner than he thought

Davinci,

We seem to have regular "pool communication failures" They last up to a couple of  minutes

You are probably already looking into it, but just so you know....

890  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: which pools are offering merged mining? on: October 09, 2011, 01:53:00 PM
We're merged mining at http://nmcbit.com since last night

All seems to be going well, although we haven't yet solved a Bitcoin block yet (only 400K+ shares submitted)

We did solve a few NameCoin blocks

891  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Anyone ever seen a payout from merged mining? on: October 09, 2011, 08:23:48 AM
I'm mining over at nmcbit.com

We found a couple of nmc blocks already and they have been credited like before the merged mining days

Not found a bitcoin block yet, but we're only up to the 1st 328.000, so that might take a while

No complaints here,

892  Economy / Economics / Re: Who are the shareholders of the Bundesbank? (removed from yahoo answers) on: October 08, 2011, 07:10:06 PM
The ECB is the Central Bank of the European Union

It's paid in capital comes from the regional central banks of each of the member states

It's basically the same structure as the United States, where there are regional Federal Reserve Banks and then U have The Federal Reserve bank (which Bernanke heads)

Should the ECB require more capital, the regional central banks have to supply them with it. Since the regional central banks are owned by the member states, it's tax payers money you are talking about in the end

The statistics page isn't registering valid shares for merged mining either

Probably some database settings that have to be changed

Davinci will do it when he gets out of bed Wink

Luck has now improved with my and with it a realization of how the real world works.  It's time I stop trying to change it and start living with it and playing the same game.  If you don't understand that's ok because you don't want to understand because understanding requires believing it and that's the hard part... believing reality.

BTW brat that block was a lot longer than reported, as that server went 600,000 shares with out a block found.

Now lets see if I can turn my new found knowledge into success.

Davinci

Davinci,

Sounds really deep what you are saying, but I have no clue what you mean Smiley

I do hope you can turn your new found knowledge into success !!!

65 Blocks till merged mining ! 2 - 3 Weeks I guess

This must be one of the longest, if not THE longest, block I have witnessed at NMCBIT

Bad luck Sad

Ckolivas,

Thanks for your superb miner !

I mined at Davinci's pool (http://nmcbit.com) for days on end with stales less then 0.25% (also Kudos to Davinci for getting his pool optimized of course +1)

I just sent you 1.62658754 BTC as a small thank you

It will be worth more when BTC is back above $30  Wink

899  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: .000062 BTC/share Starting Sept 24 - 00:00 UTC for 24hrs on: September 26, 2011, 01:49:21 AM

BTC PPS drops to 3130 nano bitcoins at 00:00 UTC then on 26th at 00:00 even in the middle of the block the system will go down for maintance and be backup within 5 minutes mining namecoins only no PPS unless I happy with the changes I make to enable NMC PPS.

NOTE: Payouts are 6 blocks behind and getting worse I would fix it but a mistake would be costly so I will not fix it until Monday.

Hey Davinci,

weren't you supposed to take the pool offline at midnight UTC and disable the BTC payouts ?

I won't mind you keeping the BTC promotion running a little bit longer of course  Wink

During the stress test stales didn't go up one bit, so from my end I say: stress test passed !!!

Now let's get to merged mining, 99 blocks to go....

Never Mind, pool switched back to NMC mining
900  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: What pool do you use? on: September 22, 2011, 09:57:03 PM
I am mining on nmcbit.com

Davinci's NameCoin pool. For now (and probably until merged mining is implemented in 147 blocks) he is letting his users choose if they want to get NameCoin or Bitcoin for there shares. He pays 0.00003 per share, about 20% more than deepbit or any other pool and he pays them out of his own pocket !!!

Check it out !
