net hashrate 3.25 GH/s, not bad for a ""premined scam coin" (quote)

Yep I think this is it,   Not saying we will go to the moon, but I was instantly attracted to EAC, And I also view the premine as equity for the future developers.  As a small business owner I have a respect for the foresight to try to some type of sustainable compensation to keep the business model alive.

I think the nay-sayers just enjoying crapping on new coins.  There is MUCH bigger and sustaining profits going long on any crypto than there is trying to make a quick buck on hype.  I'm hoping most devs would prefer years of multi-million dollar payouts for they're efforts than to cash out for a couple hundred grand soon as it hits an exchange and dump the project.

I think I would take EAC much less seriously if the dev's had no stake in it from day one.

Looks like some growth is getting ready to happen on the exchanges.   I've been watching literally constantly for the last day and a half and it looks like the low-sell orders have almost dried up.   This is total speculation but I suspect that the miners and holders just looking to make easy profit margins above baseline pool switching have almost cashed out now.    Even at 350-400 Satoshis,  EAC would have in my opinion been one of the most profitable coins to mine.

Even at 400 satoshis,  My measly 2.9Mhash has produced roughly 20K+/-  EAC in the last 24hours.   At 400 Satoshis, that is .0844 BTC.   Or $65USD give or take.    What is that,  3X+ better than LTC?

This is just my take on the numbers,  I think EAC is set for some strong and constant gains for a while.   Infact I think its basically inevitable looking at the prospects?

Still around 400 Satoshis on Coinedup,  I really should find a way to get something in there and buy this up.   I'm not sure when the spike is going to happen,  But I really can't see these prices staying this low for long.   The early profit takers are going to run out soon.

Wishful thinking, but if EAC reaches 0,0005 BTC in value, it will be bsolutely great. Cheesy

Yes it would!
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014! on: December 28, 2013, 12:38:03 AM

actually, parity is: 470402824/12183050= about 39 EAC for 1 BTC = 2564102 satoshis

edit: i arrive even too late... Smiley

No it is good!

Lets hope we get $1.00 USD per eac,  or even .50cents!  Haha!

Currently: 12,183,050 BTC
Currently: 470,402,834 EAC
Thats 38.611 EAC per 1 BTC. So $799/38.611 = $20.69 EAC for parity with current BTC price & production.

Thank you, I'm at work and I couldn't fumble the numbers as quickly!

Well for any of us holding EAC,  lets hope for even a few % of this parity figure! Smiley

There are only roughly 90-110Million EAC currently in existence total (pretty close guess?).   It won't take long for the early-insta-sellers to dump what they have at these prices.

http://earthchain.info/chain/EarthCoin/q/totalbc

Does this include the premine?

I was looking mostly at simple block-payouts of roughly 12,000 EAC for the number of blocks,  so they've given away a bunch more and that includes the premine I assume,  So scarcity of BTC vs EAC is actually  .0255%?    Which would be.. roughly.... what value if they are in parity?  (which they wont be)

when BTC and EAC will be total mined, parity it will be at 158000 satoshis for 1 EAC

So that is total mined,  What about currently and this year (2014) estimates?

any plans for cryptsy on this ?

I hope so,  the market cap for this coin is over $1.50 per unit first year (based on scarcity vs btc only).   As EAC slowly gets added to exchanges the amount of sellers will always be way higher than buyers right at first.    I'm going long on EAC so it will be interesting to see what happens after the first few million coins dump for under 500 satoshis and it starts to get interesting.

Wow,  at these low prices I think I might buy more EAC ha!    Being the first (respected) exchange, the there is no way the buyers could outnumber the sellers.  Until EAC gets more recognition I think the initial coin supply will be huge vs the market for it.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest $10,000 into Quark or Dogecoin? on: December 27, 2013, 11:03:47 AM
One word... CATCOIN!  Invest in CATs!   Grin

I'm still waiting for Turtlecoin. The slow one always wins the race.

Haha, turtlecoin is a great bad idea. Block target of 20 minutes, etc.

I thought that was BitBars! ha

I mean I agree,  I like this speculation game.   I think it should command a price worth other marginal coins for mining,  or maybe a little bit lower due to lack of proven exchange time.  This is PURE speculation really.  However even I think 3 Satoshis is stupid cheap.    I think I would be willing to purchase them for 1500 EAC per 1.00 USD,  maybe $1.25 USD.    Thats $70 USD per 100k...    Shit now even that sounds high.. but I think I'd risk it.

Sorry man, tell me one coin where early adopters have made less than mining already established coins ? Not being on a exchange for a 3 day old coin is pretty normal  Wink When/if it will hit one you can trust me the prices will be even higher than asked now. Just weeks ago DOGE was sold at a thread like this for 1/40th of the  exchange peak prices.
So you are saying that every new coin is 'worth' more to the world than all the previous ones you could be working on?   That just because it is new the miners (myself included) are guaranteed to get a 10-100X return on mining investment verse anything else we could be mining?   Maybe in this weird new crypto world everything gets its day in the sun just because this is the new thing???

Some of these cryptos are going places,   Most will not.    I'm a skeptic here, but I'm in,   But I don't see the proof of value that this is somehow worth 10X+ to mine than LTC, or DOGE or whatever else.

3 Satoshi's per EAC, someone's trying to spread misinformation to pad their own pockets?! Buy at that price and when it hits an exchange @ 300 satoshis you've made quite the profit. Plus at that logic miners should just quit because power costs make it not worth it.... in fact miners would be making a loss.

nah, judging by recent coins to hit the exchange, this one could start 178 satoshi in thin trading, then trading between 25-40....honestly 3 satoshi a EAC is a good deal to negate the risk it will never hit the exchange.  Cool

Why are you even trying to buy if this coin is so shit and risky to you ? No one with brains will sell you anything at these prices. Why should anyone mine this coin and give it away for 25% revenue of mining other coins ? I will rather take the risk of losing it all or making a decent buck if when/if the coin hits a exchange than give it away for a dirt cheap price right away.

I don't think I buy it,  Literally sure on that exchange, (thats the first and only exchange???)  Its going for roughly...  .3 BTC per 100k?     I am mining about 2-3K EAC an " HOUR".  This would mean that with only 5 GPU's my 'value' on EAC would be "much more" profitable to mine than any other Currency on COINWARZ.   I don't see that making any sense.   This would make it several times more profitable to mine than LTC.

Could this be true?
Really.... Ive got a 8.8MH rig and have only pulled 20K in the last 24 Hours, what pool you on? Thats an insane rate.
Yeah,  let me look at my time-log:

DEC23 19:12   Until DEC24 1:59 = roughly 10500 to 11500 EAC,  There is still a few thousand unconfirmed...?       Maybe I exaggerated but it seems to be going really quick!  This is roughly 3mHs +/-

This is why I am so skeptical of this coin,  If I keep arguing with sellers about how much they are worth I'll have 25-40K EAC by tomorrow evening and careless about getting more.   I don't understand I should pay $140 USD worth of BTC,  for 36-44 hours of 3Mhash mining doesn't compute without action on all the major exchanges to back it up,  And if it was worth that much or even close it would be so flooded my rewards would go to 1%

I'm just trying to explain my possibly failed logic, why I would like to buy some of these stupid things, but why I think .1-.2 BTC per 50K is way high.  Unless I have just been veeeeeerrry lucky.

Successful trade:
20k EAC for $25.

Let me know if you need proof Kail

Nice joke  Cheesy

Not a joke, sellers trying to ask to much, buyers trying pay too little. For the amount of traction this coin has, this price is close to perfect. $1.25 per thousand or 0.0018 btc per thousand.

So let me guess, your a seller right? lol

I agree Kanus1113, 180 satoshi's is a good median at the moment.

Current DOCEX Values as Follows:
Average Sell BTC/EAC:    Average Buy BTC/EAC:        Volume for Sale:
0.00000481                    0.00000146                1,514,204.57

Finally levelling, hope more trades can go through now!!!

Do we really think this coin is worth100-300 per $1.00 USD?     I think I would consider 2000 EAC per 1.00 USD equiv.   That would be 30,000-34000 EAC per 1.00 LTC.     This would mean that mining EAC would be roughly equally as profitable as mining LTC on a time-unit-per-GPU  the way I see it.   Or at least some-where around there.     Of course maybe the early miners are holding for the moon and that is okay but I would have a hard time doing better than this.   PM any offers and maybe I can get a volume discount Wink

Somebody sell me some, so I can go back to mining DOGE or whatever the hell is going on... man this stuff is crazy...
