881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble or think it's a waste of money and time? on: January 24, 2019, 11:45:26 AM
It's a complete waste of money and time but base on my observation when I visited a casino, for the rich people, that is how they kill time in my honest opinion. They must have a lot of money that their only past time is gambling. They must have done all the things that life can offer. So for me gambling is really a waste but for them it is the opposite.

I think, rich people or businessmen use gambling places for other purposes. They might use casinos as a place to gather and talk about business stuffs while having fun with their colleagues . It's like playing golf for politicians and other businessmen. There are many goals that people use when going to casinos besides just gambling. Btw, if we use gambling just as a way to get easy money, then it could be a waste of time. We have to have other purposes, as an entertainment and in a rare occasion is one of the good example.
882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you following your gut instinct in trading? on: January 24, 2019, 07:14:22 AM
We were advice during my forex trading by trading expert that we should not depend only on technical and fundamentals indicators alone in trading but we should focus our mind in the third indicator which is our gut instinct and we were told that it can not fail us but making us rich and build our confident in trading.  However. I think about 80% of traders don't know how to hear the voice of their instinct during trading!  Can one get this gut instinct training like others investments tools?  Is it even truth that we have something like gut instinct?

Everyone has their own instincts and it can be developed by itself through a long experiences. The more knowledge and experiences we have, then naturally our instincts will also grow. And in making decisions, of course, instincts will always give their role. Instinct is part of decision making and it is a unit with other tools that cannot be separated. But certainly, we cannot rely solely on our instincts and ignoring the other factors.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum will rise again. on: January 23, 2019, 05:45:45 PM
Certain. ethereum will increase again later. but indeed now we must be patient to be able to wait. the market will later rise but it does take time and it is not a moment, all is a process
Until now, we should not talk about the certainty or return of eth because the situation in recent months is not positive, the value of eth continues to go down and breaking important support levels, it is really the most terrible thing for investors. If this situation continues and becomes more serious, I am very worried that our waiting and patience will be useless and not meaningful when eth will sink and never return, agree that we should think positively but we should not eliminate the worst situations, we should take measures to prepare and deal with these situations

Of course, we must be optimistic that the future of crypto especially btc and eth will be bright again. But we must not forget the worst thing that could happen. We have to prepare our mental as best as we can to face the worst conditions that may occur because not all hopes will come true. Anything in this world have risk and no exception with crypto currency. We can only give our best try.
884  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or not? on: January 23, 2019, 02:40:41 PM
Holding its not an option, you should set your stop lose how much percentage you can take it about your lose. If the market still have some chance to dump again. Better to Cutlose your asset and buying again at dip.
I don't know how you've to earn a profit if you already cut your loss. You should have checked the history of the coin before you invest with it. Check the charts though it's all fine my friend. You are not alone to learn from the mistake. I feel sorry for you lost and I do understand how important the capital of yours was to you but I need you to keep going forward and learn from it. Anyways before investing again and trade make sure to learn more about trading and the coin's history (each) so you will not end up losing capitals again.

People usually cut losses whenever they feel that prices will continue to move down and they are afraid to lose more money. Then they will wait until they see suitable price to start trading again. This happens mostly, but not always, to people who regularly monitor price movements and are unable to fight their fears. This trick can be good and vice versa.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans for this year on: January 23, 2019, 12:16:26 PM
Everyone keeps saying 2019 will be profitable for the crypto community... but in life I've had to learn things the hard way.. which makes me always want to look into things in 2 ways no matter the odds

What if 2019 is the beginning of another dump?? What would you do as a investor?? Wait till your portfolio goes to zero?? ... or sell whatever is left of it??

Right now, my plan is just to hold my coins as long as I can until I get some profit. But if one day, the results will be beyond my expectations, maybe I will change it. This will greatly depend on what will happen to the crypto currency in the future. If good things emerge, then I might continue to invest in it and vice versa.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: January 23, 2019, 07:05:36 AM
This might be a hard truth for some people but we are always looking for an edge an a thril
Hard truth for some gamblers but saying nobody wins in gambling is absurd. A cycle will go on like the example of OP but the fact that they have won in the first place proved that saying nobody wins is wrong.

Count in small amount or bigger amounts, everyone will experience win it's just up to us if we will be greedy to gamble more and won't control  ourselves.

Right, there are times when we will be lucky and win through gambling. But as I see, most of us will continue to gamble especially after we are lucky enough and most of the time, we will be stopped after we have nothing left to continue our gambling. Indeed, there are people who will stop gambling after they win some profits, but the number of people like that can be so small, I guess.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble or think it's a waste of money and time? on: January 22, 2019, 04:27:52 PM
I think it is a waste of both money and time, most of people who gamble regularly never get profit.
I think it depends on how the gamblers sees gambling. If the gambler gambles just for fun then losing money and time is just ok for them because even though they lost their money, they just did it to remove stress and be fun too. If the gambler gambles for profit only then it will be a waste for time for them. We must know that gambling is game of luck therefore, winning there is very hard.
Agree, it depends on the angle we look at gambling, if we come to gamble only for the purpose of making money and thinking to get rich from it, everything is as you say, we are just wasting our money and time, it won't bring any reward, we will even become addicted and lose more in gambling. Conversely, if we come to gambling as a method to eliminate stress, seek joy, and eliminate a day of pressure, although we may lose money but it will be a reasonable exchange, the time we use for gambling will bring us a good mood, very fair

Gambling as a pleasure must be rarely done because if we enjoy it too much, our intentions can be changed without us realized it. It's like a vacation to refresh our minds after we do long hard work from our daily routines. Each person for sure will have their own methods on how to handle gambling whether it is good or not.
888  Economy / Speculation / Re: The point of no return on: January 22, 2019, 03:17:14 PM
At which price do you think bitcoin will not be able to recover from? There is strong support at $3500 but is now at risk of being breached.

Is $3000 the low point after which there is limited chances of it returning to the glory days?

There is no one knows what is the lowest price will be and when the glory day will come again. For now, it would be better to collect as much bitcoin as we can and let the market decide what the result will. And one more thing, let's continue to support anything that will be developed by people who are competent in their fields , the developers and the adopters in this case, so that bitcoin continues to exist for a very long time.
889  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money with bitcoin price dropping? on: January 22, 2019, 12:19:03 PM
Although the long trend shows a decline, it doesn't mean that the prices will run in one direction only. There are times when prices will rise slightly before returning to the long trend. Such moments can be used to find profit in the short term and of course with a small quantity. We must monitor price movements carefully if we want to do that. So, yes, even though there is a price decline, we still have the chance to look for profit.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people refuse to accept bitcoin? on: January 22, 2019, 08:31:19 AM
I think there are many factors limiting the adoption of bitcoin by the public.
These factors can be because of the volatility nature of Cryptocurrency, which makes Cryptocurrency not suitable as a medium of exchange for goods and services.
Another thing, is the sheer difficulty associated with owning Cryptocurrency......which limits potential investors and thereby decrease the adoption rate of bitcoin.

Yes, volatility is the main reason why it is difficult to accept as a currency. In addition, there is a total supply in bitcoin that will definitely bring other problems in the future if bitcoin will be accepted as a currency in the whole world. What if people keep holding their bitcoins in their wallets and there are only a few bits of bitcoin on the market? To my knowledge, the currency is under government control, so if there are things that require special handling, the government can intervene. Whereas with bitcoin, there is no institution or person who can control it. This certainly can cause extraordinary issues.
891  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3% loss 10% profit -> sell on: January 21, 2019, 08:19:22 AM
If I set a 3% loss on my initial investment as a stop loss and a 10% profit as a stop for selling, will that make me trade too often ?

I think you will often make buy and sell orders in a short period of time. 3% down and 10% up will be easy to hit especially if bitcoin is your main currency. You must be very active in monitoring price movements in the hope that you will not miss even a small chance of the fluctuations. Btw, that is a nice idea regardless the percentages you put for both sides.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: January 20, 2019, 12:57:57 PM
Have you been able to resist the addiction and not let gambling consume you?

Have you been able to control the urge to place that bet, spin that wheel or roll
that dice? For you to be able to go a length of time away from the adrenaline.

Would be interested to hear how people can control this.

Through long experiences and after suffering a bad situation caused by gambling, had a lot of loan and can't afford to pay it by myself, now I am starting to force myself not to bet beyond my limit. It is hard to do so at the beginning, but with the help of a bunch stories that people share, finally, gradually, I can do it. I will never bet with the money in needs. I use only small part of my spare money and will keep doing it as long as I can.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is best for storing money? on: January 20, 2019, 09:14:30 AM
I saw this post sometime ago but was reluctant to reply to the thread. You mentioned best crypto for storing money, I think you should be looking at stable coins like USDT if you are so scared of the dwindling market situation. But the next option will be to hold some btc or altcoins  with great project backing.

Storing money means we want it to be stable so the value when we store and the value in the long term won't change significantly. And yes, USDT could be the best solution to it.  Most cryptos are so volatile and it fits for investment purposes rather than for storing money.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: January 20, 2019, 07:22:30 AM
There is a trace of gambling in me that still has an impact to this day despite gradually fading. This is a social consequence where people give me a mark as a gambler which is a bad sign here in my place. I got such mark when I gambled offline too much. Now, with online gambling, I can keep my habits secret while I don't do it offline.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, governments on: January 19, 2019, 01:58:52 PM
FOr me its not the governments whos investing secretly in bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies but instead its the individuals inside  every governments, obviously those people has a future look for crypto and can’t convince enough the government to take a chance so they are accommodating some coins for their own benefits just like some humors in my country that our president is secretly investing in crypto because he didnt put any regulatory for crypto and staying neutral for this

I have the same thought. I don't think the government as institution will invest in bitcoin secretly. If it's a person who works in such institution, maybe yes. When the government wants to invest, I think it will not be done in secret ways. I am not so familiar on how politic works and that is just my own perception.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 19, 2019, 10:44:29 AM
I think the morale of the players in Manchester United are high at the moment, they have won all the matches played so far after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer take over as the new manager, I think it will be another victory today for Manchester United when they play against Brighton & Hove Albion FC, and this would be a good opportunity for Manchester United to overtake Arsenal on the table temporarily.

Yes, Manchester United shouldn't have a significant obstacle to winning this match because they are in good condition now. Moreover, MU's home record is not too bad if we compare it to Brighton & Hove Albion's away record. Brighton & Hove Albion has seven losses from 11 away matches which is certainly not a good statistic to undergo today's match.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where we are now with Gambling on: January 19, 2019, 07:23:22 AM
30 years ago when I became old enough to be allowed into gambling
establishments I played all sorts of games, poker, 21, poker machines,
one arm bandits. I remember the atmosphere in the "clubs", the sound
if the machines, the multicoloured lights, the sound of coins being
paid out, the cigarette smoke, the sticky carpet, the chat, the laughter
and the giving out as people went bust.

Today its a different scene or there is no scene. I visited a club last
night while out socialising and it was dead to the point where I wonder
how the club is able to stay open.

Since the creation of smartphones gambling is now 24/7, 365 days a year
Its so easy and convenient anyone can get involved and everyone is
targeted.

Traditional casinos have been around a long time before online casinos appeared. Of course it already has more fans. The atmosphere there in traditional casinos is impossible to obtain from being online and that is why traditional casinos can still operate even though there are already many online casinos offering convenience and simplicity.
898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trade Vs long trade on: January 19, 2019, 05:00:20 AM
Last comment is absolutely true, why not to do both if you can, keep some coins for long term trades, and you always have an option to do some quick trades. In my experience people should try both and find what suits them more, both can be profitable, for daily trading you need to have more time, long term is much more relaxed trading. I`m more long trader now after so much time, daily trading is not for me, I`m losing more money like that, with long term trades I hit some good profits along the way, just you need to be patient and believe in your investment.

True, both methods can be chosen based on market conditions and our trade results to date. We can keep some coins for long-term investments while doing short-term trading with small targets for each session. Frankly, people are free to use every available method but each method has its own advantages and disadvantages. There is a risk that we must bear.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours a day are you spending on online gambling? on: January 18, 2019, 04:13:48 PM
a few hours of the week. I occasionally gamble. This is not my hobby. Some matches, or a few bets for the game. I also rarely win, but I don't lose too much money
You're still in a good state that you don't mind too much with gambling. Just keep it going and you'll not going to the point of addiction just see to it that you can monitor yourself.

There are stories like yours before and they are confident to say that they really don't gamble at all but in the end of it, when they have a lot of spare time they put it to gamble and that's the start of their story on how they became addicted.

Of course the mind can change at any time especially if we encounter financial problems that require a quick solution. Sometimes gambling will be the only way someone take, and if it fails, a feeling of revenge will arise and make someone fall deeper. Even though we gamble, never make it a means to solve our financial problems.

Is this the first time that Bitsler come out with a contest for specific Altcoin? This is a good idea with target market of those with a lot of idle BCH. They can try different games in the site and win in this promotion. Maybe Bitsler can come up with a schedule like Mondays will be BCH day, meaning, expect a promo with BCH as the preferred cypto to be used.

Special contest with Alts is not the first time being held by Bitsler. There are several contests that have been held, for example with ltc, doge and others. Beside dice, sometimes, special contests are also held specifically for certain games such as cara y cruz and roulette. One thing for sure, there are lots of contests that we can follow. In addition, there is a daily lottery too for level 20 and above, the prize is very interesting.
