The First Kyrgyzian Company to Pay Salaries Not In Som, But In Bitcoin

News agency Sputnik, operating in Kyrgyzstan, announced that as an experiment it would pay salaries to their employees in Bitcoins. This is interesting, because cryptocurrencies are still prohibited by Central Bank of the country.

Despite the fact that Kyrgyzstan, like Russia, has a negative attitude to Bitcoins, the first Bitcoin atm in Central Asia is installed in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, in pizzeria Dolce Vita.

Investors are Starting to Recognize Bitcoin as an “Independent Currency”

Since the beginning of 2015, an increasing number of central banks and government agencies have begun to show interest in bitcoin and digital currencies. Investment Strategist Philipp Vordran believes that countries are considering turning their currencies into crypto-currencies.

“Countries are thinking about turning their currencies into crypto-currencies. I don’t know if that’s a smart idea. Once customers are used to them they might think about using independent currencies like Bitcoin instead of currencies issued by central banks,” said Vordran.

Nearly broke Bitcoin mining company BTCS raises $1.4m to keep it going…for now

Confirming that there’s a sucker born every minute, Bitcoin mining outfit BTCS, Inc. has raised $1.4 million in a post-IPO equity round led by Cavalry Fund LP.

The funding comes after news via way of a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing in November that detailed that the company was in serious financial strife and was literally running out of money.

Kenya: Virtual Currency Bitcoin, Bitpesa Rejected in Kenya

Lately, the uptake of virtual currency has suffered a setback in East Africa with the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) issuing an outright rejection and caution to citizens against using virtual currencies like Bitcoin.

In a statement, CBK maintains Bitcoin and other virtual currencies are not legal tender because they are not issued or guaranteed by any government.

Susanne Tarkowski Tempelhof, founder and CEO of Bitnation, sees promise in the future of Bitcoin remittance services:

So if you are willing to save bitcoin, save some money that you do not need for an essential need

I do not consider this down as a problem as the price in the last 2 month is already doubled and the price movement is progressing and increasing with a firm steps

If the US dollar collapses, it will affect all the world economy as all international trades are done with dollars.
It will impact the bitcoin price of course as some new users will start using it
