881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's market position inflation corrected on: June 12, 2023, 05:36:49 AM
Who gives a sh*t about the US dollar purchasing power back in 2011 or 2013? WE don't live in 2011 or 2013. We live in 2023.
The current purchasing power(or value) of the US dollar is all that matters. I don't give a flying f*ck if Bitcoin is valuated in the current US dollar purchasing power or the 2011 USD purchasing power. All that matters is the fact that Bitcoin preserves wealth and can be used as a store of value(in the long term, and only if the HODLers don't panic sell).
I don't think that BTC inflation is worse than fiat inflation, because there isn't such thing as BTC inflation. The total BTC in circulation isn't growing fast, while the total USD in circulation has reached a ridiculous historical peak.
This "chain inflation" thing you are talking about seems like nonsense to me.
882  Economy / Economics / Re: A thought experiment: Inflation's volatility down through two currencys (pegged) on: June 11, 2023, 11:07:43 AM
Quote
- We have an average income per capita. Everybody with an income higer than 0.7 of the average income per capita is just allowed to use currency A.
- We have an average income per capita. Everybody with an income lower than 0.7 of the average income per capita is just allowed to use currency B.
- Additional everybody who is owning more value/money/goods 2.0 of the average income per capita is just allowed to use currency A.
- It is forbidden to exchange both currency with each other.
- All goods and services are pegged on the value (A+B)/2 ----- (Currency A plus Currency B divided by two)
- Every year every person is rated which currency the person can use.

This theoretical model simply won't work in the real world, because those rules are impossible to be followed by everyone.
How can you stop the people from exchanging currencies A and B?
Can you stop the first group or people to own only currency A and the second group to own only currency B?
The "everybody with an income above of below average income per capita" rule is impossible to be imposed, because the people could simply hide a part of their income.
The prices of goods and services cannot be pegged to currencies. What about supply, demand and production costs?
I'm kinda bad at mathematics, but wouldn't this (30%+5%)/2 formula mean that the overall growth of the total money supply will be 17,5% per year(I assume that the quantities of currency A and currency B are equal at the beginning of this theoretical model)?

883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 11, 2023, 07:02:22 AM
Manchester City deserved to win this edition of the UEFA Champions League. Great defensive game by Inter.
However, I kinda agree with some fans, who are saying that clubs like Manchester City and PSG killed football. The owners of Man City spent around 2 billion pounds to win a Champions League trophy. You can say whatever you want about Pep and the Man City players, but you can't deny that Man City basically "bought" this trophy. Nowadays, football is 99% money and this is something I don't like.
When are we going to see clubs like Nottingham Forest winning the Euro Champions cup like they did back in 1979 and 1980?
884  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance US Halts USD Deposits issues a fiat withdrawal warning? SEC vs Exchanges on: June 11, 2023, 06:25:35 AM

What is Gary Gensler end game well and what I'm seeing Gary Gensler not trying to shut down Crypto as a whole in the US but he trying to shut down crypto companies in the US because big banks can then swoop in buy it all and take over the reason why I don't think Gensler is trying to shut down crypto as a whole in the US is that this will create a much bigger impact than he can handle

I don't really think that the big banks in the USA care that much about Binance.
Maybe the right decision for CZ would be to leave the USA completely and concentrate his business in other countries. If the US citizens want to still use Binance, they can do so, I don't think that the Security and Exchanges Commission can stop US citizens from investing their money outside the USA.
I don't mind the SEC trying to hit centralized crypto companies in the USA. The entire crypto industry needs to become fully decentralized at some point. Centralized exchanges must become a thing from the past.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 09, 2023, 10:04:58 AM
Do you know the price of this piece of s*it? It's 3500 USD. I wonder how many gamblers around the world would be willing to spend 3500USD just to "enhance their gambling experience" by adding virtual reality? Not much, if you ask me.
Replacing a real offline casino with this virtual reality BS seems like nonsense to me. Replacing an online casino with VR is another nonsense.
I have the feeling that this VR technology will have much bigger success in the adult industry, rather than the gambling industry. Grin
886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Magazine Doesn't Limit to 1 Acct Per IP Address? on: June 09, 2023, 05:17:30 AM
Damn, you must be a millionaire by now. 200 satoshi per account for 20 accounts is a lot. Grin
This Bitcoin Magazine is giving away such low amounts that they simply don't care about their giveaway system being abused.
Having an account limit per IP address, won't stop the abuse, because residential proxy networks are a thing(even though there's no point wasting residential proxies for such low reward).
I know how to create multiple accounts and keep my browser fingerprints for getting tracked, but I wouldn't waste my time for several thousand satoshis. I'm sure that there are more lucrative ways to make easy crypto money.
887  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter ad sales down 59%, company valuation down 66% on: June 08, 2023, 10:38:00 AM
The former Twitter shareholders are the luckiest people on Earth. Getting 44 billion dollars for company like Twitter was a gift from God. Grin
Elon Musk clearly had lost his mind somewhere around 2021. Becoming the richest man on the planet had a negative impact over his mental health. He's definitely not a genius and he's not even a good businessman.
Perhaps most of the advertisers on Twitter were progressive, liberal and "woke" companies. Twitter going right-wing is something they never wanted. Musk will have to reduce the right-wing propaganda and try to please all the "woke" and progressive advertisers.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship , Will you Bet? on: June 08, 2023, 06:15:54 AM
Is this for real or rumor?

Quote
Talking about the participants, 20 people from different countries have applied for the Championship now. The winners will be determined through three juries and audience ratings. In each discipline, participants can score between 5 and 10 points. The contestants will compete in 16 disciplines which include seduction, oral sex, penetration, appearance, body massages, exploring erotic zones, position changes, creativity in the positions, number of orgasms and endurance.

You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?
This is pornography, not sport.

It's real, even though it's the dumbest idea ever.
The winners will be determined by three juries and audience rankings. It seems that the results can be rigged, so I don't think that any bookie would allow betting on this "tournament". Grin
I'm pretty sure that the participants will have to use doping(Viagra) in order to get going. Grin Will the usage of such stimulants be forbidden?
Jokes aside, like other forum members have said, this is basically a porn show, rather than a sports tournament.
The people in Scandinavia are weird.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: June 08, 2023, 05:47:53 AM
1.There aren't any "physical crypto exchanges" where I live.
2.I never really understood the point of having to trade Bitcoin/crypto in person. Using the internet for trading purposes is way more convenient(and way safer). Decentralized exchanges are a thing, why do you have to put your trust in a random stranger?
3.The woman, who publicly revealed that she owns Bitcoin/crypto has made a terrible mistake. Never revealing to anyone that you own crypto is the golden rule of being a crypto investor/trader/HODLer. Some people simply aren't smart enough, other people make mistakes unintentionally.
890  Economy / Economics / Re: US Advisory on Payment App Risks and Bitcoin’s Position as a Secure Alternative on: June 07, 2023, 10:13:03 AM
Quote
The Risks of Payment Apps
The CFPB’s consumer advisory raises valid concerns about the risks associated with storing funds in payment apps. While these apps offer convenience and ease of use, they do not provide the same level of protection as traditional banks or credit unions. The lack of federal deposit insurance coverage for funds held in payment apps means that if an app were to fail or go bankrupt, consumers could potentially lose their money. This vulnerability has become more apparent in recent times, with several bank failures highlighting the importance of understanding deposit insurance coverage when choosing where to store money.

What's the point of storing funds in a payment app? Payment apps should be used only for payments. They aren't banks or investment funds.
I don't know about payment apps offering investment plans or paying interest/dividends. Maybe there are apps, which are offering such services.
AFAIK, the risk of a payment app going bankrupt is really small, because those companies invest the funds their gather from the customers in short term treasury bonds. The only way for the payment apps to go bankrupt is the company owner to exit scam. Such risk is really small, but it does exist.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 07, 2023, 06:01:50 AM
while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.

I don't know how can you accumulate coins by gambling. Even the best gamblers could lose their coins.
I just don't play gambling games with the sole intention of making more money and accumulating more coins.
If a crypto ban occurs in my country, I would just keep my coins in my cold wallet.
Nobody could find out that I have a cold wallet, that is full with coins. The government officials aren't that smart(and they don't care that much).
I could sell my coins for fiat money by using a decentralized exchange located outside my country.
It's practically impossible for the government to change it's position after a cryptocurrency ban has been imposed.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin(BTC) vs wrappedBitcoin(wBTC) on: June 07, 2023, 05:39:11 AM
Maybe it's time for the Bitcoin Core developers and the BTC community to register the name "Bitcoin" as a trademark.
I know that this is against the open source nature of Bitcoin, but we must do something about getting rid of all those forked shitcoins, that have the name "Bitcoin" on them. Creating some centralized shitcoin, calling it "Bitcoin whatever" and misleading the newbies into thinking that this is the real Bitcoin is simply a scam. There are even some newbies, who think that those forked shitcoins are better than Bitcoin Core, because they have some useless features like staking or smart contracts. This is delusional and we have to do something about it.

- In your opinion, is this a consequence of increased pressure on China by the U.S.?
- What will the problems of Binance lead to for crypto market and crypto users?

Nope, CZ gets sued because he broke some rules and regulations, not because he's Chinese.
There will be crypto price drops and a bearish wave, but who cares. The crypto market survived FTX, I'm sure that it will survive any turbulence caused by the lawsuits against CZ and/or Binance. The BTC price recovered pretty fast after the FTX drama(around three months), I'm sure that Bitcoin is still capable of getting thru a bullish phase by the end of 2023(even though I expect the real bull run to hit somewhere around the second half of 2024).

3. Game variety
Variety of games is a sign of an honest casino. The more games there are, the more ways players can win. If a casino offers fewer games, there’s a chance those games could be more prone to shady tactics that lead to losses.

So you are saying that casinos offering 1000 games are "more honest" than casinos offering 100 games?
This doesn't make any sense, but whatever. I'm trying to find some kind of logic here, but I can't. Grin
The main goal of a casino is NOT the player to win. The goal is the casino to win. The players can have some fun, while playing, but the casinos aren't charity organizations. Grin
It seems to me that your post is just a bunch of nonsense. Crypto casinos aren't more safe and secure than traditional casinos.
I guess that you have never been scammed by a crypto casino.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud or Its Reality? BTC is Down Again on: June 06, 2023, 05:49:09 AM
Quote
The answer is simple FUD and FUD, (i am not trying to accuse anyone here just stating the facts) people are exiting from the market as i mentioned above and volume is decreasing which is a bad sign. The dominance of BTC will decrease. I wonder what would have created so much panic among lower-class traders and investors who have exited the market.

1.Trading volume can decrease right now and increase after several months. I don't think that trading volume is such an important metric.
2.BTC dominance going down? Do you really think that the altcoins will stay bullish, when Binance gets out of business? I think that the entire crypto market will get affected in the short term. There's no reason to worry, though.
3.Most crypto traders/investors are just "sheep". They are cowards and every time something bad happens, they just panic and sell.
The crypto markets will be fine in the long term. The crypto world can survive without Binance(if Binance really gets shut down).

896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chat GPT do a TA about bitcoin on: June 05, 2023, 10:31:50 AM
ChatGPT definitely knows how to tell us what we want to hear. Grin We are all bullish in the long term and bearish in the short term, when it comes to predicting the Bitcoin price. I don't need AI tools like ChatGPT to tell me what I already know.
It's funny how some people think that such AI tools can be viewed as some kind of Oracle or a prophet.
I use ChatGPT only for fun. There's no reason to take seriously the inaccurate answers of some imperfect piece of artificial intellect.
897  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing PokerWorld365: The Next Generation of Poker on: June 05, 2023, 06:53:32 AM
We have to download it ? Do you mean it’s an app ? Mate here you only lost half of the traffic that would have atleast check your site. Gambling apps are banned in both ios and playstore. So this means, you will prompt us to download it from third party services, and hence there are risk of getting hacked. So yes no one will download the app to be honest. It would have been great if you could have launched the platform in web based applications. May we know the reason for launching mobile applications?

Nowadays mobile traffic dominates completely over desktop traffic and most people use their smartphones to surf the internet and do various things.
AFAIK, GGpoker is one of the legit poker apps(they have both a mobile app and desktop software) so there shouldn't be a problem with malware.
However, I'm not sure about this pokerworld365 website. This is some kind of poker club instead of a poker platform. They have a new Youtube channel with only one 26 seconds long introduction video(it seems kinda generic).
It seems that the marketing of this poker project isn't very professional, which is a red flag for me. Also, the OP, who started this forum thread isn't active and he isn't answering all the questions here.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ID Security Requirements and Security Methods.🔗 on: June 05, 2023, 06:04:33 AM
There is no such thing as a "Bitcoin ID".

I was thinking the same thing. Grin
It seems that OP has copy pasted some article about crypto privacy and he just wants to boost his post count here.
The best way to protect your ID card is to not share it with anyone else. This is just common sense.

when using a mobile device with a sms 2FA, the exchange then has your phone number. which if requested by authorities they can then ping that number and see all of the locations it was spotted on the cellular network.
if you are seen each night to ping at a certain address they can learn that you live(sleep) there and so found out where you live

2FA and use of exchanges is the easiest way to get found especially if you use a mobile device

Non-VoIP phone number services like Textverified and SMSpva are a thing, if you want to keep your phone number away from the crypto exchanges. I'm sure that those phone number services support the big crypto exchange platforms, but this comes at a cost(unfortunately).
2FA isn't the best form of account protection, since SIM swapping is a problem.

899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 04, 2023, 11:02:50 AM
This guy probably must have suffered from depression. I don't believe that a person with good mental health would do such thing.
Committing suicide because you have lost money?!? This is absurd. Losing money is not the end of the world. Debts can be repaid, money can be earned. Life cannot be returned after someone have lost it. Life is more important than the money.
I remember another horror story about a guy, who lost all his savings in a ponzi scheme and he committed suicide(he served in the military).
Not related to gambling, but I can't understand why would somebody end his life just because he lost money.

If World War 3 is about to start then what's the point of buying gold? We all should buy food, water and other necessary stuff in order to survive. We can't eat gold, when there's a food shortage. Grin Yes, you could use gold to buy food, but what's the point for the food sellers to acquire more gold? World War 3 would be most likely a thermonuclear war and the human civilization would be wiped out of the face of the Earth. There's no point of hoarding precious metals like gold.
And no, I don't believe that there will be hyperinflation in the USA anytime soon.
You are basically shit-posting in order to boost your post count.
