Thank you very much for this information DutchBrat and thank you very much for supporting the NMC community. I'm pretty sure DavinciJ15 will find a fair and very honest way to distribute all those coins to the miners. If someone like you don't want to get those coins then the other miners have their lucky day. He could pay them all a bit more. As DavinciJ15 always accentuated how honest he is I'm pretty sure there won't be any coin left on this address after the end of next week, right?
I can't speak for Davinci of course, but I can vouch for his word. He has always paid for testing whatever he promised And as he is paying BTC out of his own pockets to support NameCoin I don't think you have to worry |

I can tell you know that not all the NMC will or have to leave that wallet.
Davinci gave the miners a choice to mine NMC or BTC. So he would get a lot of miners to help him mine NMC even though they couldn't care less about NameCoins.
I personally choose for BTC which came out of his own pocket (even when we were mining on a fork of the original chain) so as far as I am concerned Davinci doesn't owe me any NMC. He can keep them to partially offset his BTC expense.
I hope that everyone can look past the misunderstandings and the animosity of the past week.
I can understand there has been a lot of stress, but I hope that the developers and the pool operators can come together and go forward and onward with merged mining !

Thanks for all your efforts in the past few days.
BitcoinXpress said it himself, you mobilizing people was one of the main reasons he called off the attack !
Forking off the original chain showed people you were serious about your efforts, not that you were trying to destroy NameCoins
Since we only found 1 block I think it won't be a problem for the network to get back to the original chain

So, The attack has been called off because people came together. Our Davinci is a "hero" according to the attacker.... We now have a forked chain, what are we gonna do  Start with the real merged-mining or see everyone lose interest in mining NameCoins again and wait till Christmas 2013 before the difficulty comes down ? NodeMaster and slush told me that they got doublec to agree and it made sense to me, the only way to get hashing power is to pay bitcoins so forking the block chain seems right, we can deal with the fallout later.
Does this mean NodeMasters EUNameCoin pool and Slush support this and are our fork as well ? I wasn't even aware Slush was close to implementing merged mining |

Let's go save NameCoin  I am not sure just what DavinciJ15 thinks he is doing now, but he mentioned in irc he enabled merged mining already, prematurely to what the official client was set for. He also has on his newspage Sept 14 Merged mining right now but no payment method for both. Sept 14 New block chain created Pool Down for updates. Since he has created his own fork of the namecoins chain at this point, mining here is attacking namecoins, not defending it now. It may seem that way but there are only 3 pools and a few Gh solo mining on the main chain so it did not make sense to wait we needed to circle the wagons be for he attack. Is it a mistake? Time will tell. Since your blocks are going to be rejected by the official client, it seems a mistake to me to have forked namecoin. Did you get doublec to go along with this as well? That would surprise me. Doesn't this pool have more than 51% of the hash-rate ? Doesn't that mean that this fork will be THE original chain before long ? Or is that too much of a doomsday scenario ? BTW I really don't believe Davinci wants to do something sinister and dark here |

I do hope we can get enough people together, but if the 51%+ attacker really has almost 1TH behind him, I'm afraid our efforts will be futile. Can't hurt to try, right !
