901  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Gathering founds for legal action against HashFast on: October 23, 2013, 11:45:02 PM
didn't they employ you? At one time. Yes, sorry. That was cyberdoc (something like that). Best of luck with your legal action with HF.
902  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 23, 2013, 10:31:45 PM
I have gotten a call from HF. They said they're going to see what they can do. I shall post back to see what they offer..

I expressed that I don't just want them to get my back, but every one in Batch 1, and every one of their customers for that matter. I suggest everyone calls and demand compensation. We should not be picking up the tab.

For the record, I called Friday the 18th. They said everything was on schedule.

Also, difficulty rises 2x a month. So a month delay means half the profits in BTC. Random fact.

Josh

damn, you were in on BFL as well.
903  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 23, 2013, 05:49:02 PM
If you're going to purchase miners, especially when the company is using preorders. You can expect there to be delays. Seems every company has delayed their product. It's pretty common in this industry.. Read some BFL threads

Our vendor has told us that the substrates — one of the final components in completing the chip module  — are going to take a more time than expected.  The good news is that the silicon, arguably the more complicated part of the design, is right on track.  Once the substrates arrive, we can place the silicon and finish production. Our updated estimate is that the rigs will begin shipping in mid-November.

And with that, all your customers just lost any possible chance of a positive ROI...

right if you payed in BTC.

well, the only options were BTC or bank transfer. I'm assuming most people did option 1, BTC.

907  Economy / Securities / Re: [SolarWind , A Bitcoin Mining Company] 100TH/s Mining Farm - Official Thread on: October 22, 2013, 03:51:53 PM

The company hash rate is now at 9 GH/s.

9 GH/S. Is that in misprint? Or 9 TH/S. Nevermind, website, is all messed up

908  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Buying a KNC 550+ Yes or No on: October 22, 2013, 04:43:28 AM
Oochh..  I c.

Which means a 550+ earning is more than halved if its delivered in 6-8 weeks Sad

No, revenue will be cut by 33% week, and then again ~10 days later, and yet again another ~10 days later. In two months, you will be lucky to mine ~7 BTC per month with a jupiter.

If you think thats bad, if you want an even more effective way to burn your bitcoins, buy some of those cex.io mining shares.

+1

So its a no to buying cex.io too?

So just buy BTC and sit tight?

Of course cex.io is bad.  They want you to spend 1000 btc for 120gh.  lol

What? They can't be serious.. I was just looking at them briefly. Anyhow. Any feedback would be great

Brian
909  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 19, 2013, 10:59:17 PM
Difficulty is now estimated at 315,000,000.
We can no longer ROI in 90 days with 400 gh/s.

yes, now you cannot get ROI at all without MPP. Be interesting to see how that plays out.

wow, didn't even read this

---
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2013

Sea Sonic Electronics Co. Ltd (‘Sea Sonic’) and HashFast Technologies LLC (‘HashFast’) announced today that they have signed an agreement for Sea Sonic to produce power supplies for HashFast’s Bitcoin mining systems.
---

to produce? Two days before delivery of the finished product? Another rocket/bullet run? Sorry, but lol?

LOL, not the kind of PR you want. Especially when your product is due in 2 days.. I believe they have PSU's at most retail outlets. I like the way KNC went about things, PSU related
912  Economy / Securities / Re: RedStarMining.com bitcoin mining Co-op - 1.05(TH/s) on: October 18, 2013, 01:49:55 PM

Executive Summary
Red Star Mining, a mining stock with strong +<90% reinvestment of profits into growth until such a time we are greater than 51% of the network and/or company staff can make a living wage off their RSM wages solely.

– –
I got that from your website. That doesn't seem like a realistic proposition. 51%
you are at about 1TH.. Well good luck with that
913  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: October 18, 2013, 12:30:54 PM
Dave, please provide a ETA for 200TH. Are we talking 2013, first quarter 2014, etc.

914  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitcoin Lost due to KNC's Late Shipping on: October 16, 2013, 10:38:42 PM
guess what:

bfl emailed today that they shipped my 60Gh killer mining monster i had ordered in march and tried so refund in mai. an expensive radiator with built in mining gimmick.

I'd refuse it, if you paid with a credit card. Doesn't sound like you did though.
915  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra Mining ASIC coming soon on: October 16, 2013, 07:35:23 PM
I still don't get it how come they didn't raised 5 mil $ while HashFast raised 20 mil $ (seems a bit much), Avalon had 8 mil $ for chips and KnC managed to raise more than 5 mil $.

The market got tired of IPOs/pre-orders by the time Cointerra launched.

When Cointerra/CryptX went public the miners, investors, and speculators were exhausted and broke from

-BFL
-ASICminer
-Avalon
-Bitfury
-ActiveScamming
-KnC
-Hashfast/IceDrill
-LabScam
-ScamGarden
-etc, etc, etc

There was simply not enough demand to meet Cointerra's oversupply, everybody was all in and tapped out.

Cointerra was late to the party, conceding first/early mover advantage to their more nimble and engineering focused competition.

Now they are at least a week behind their self-imposed "first week of October" deadline for tape-out and are desperate to get the rest of the NRE paid.  Hence the fire sale on Jan 2014 hardware.

would have placed an order already if that was in place
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 14, 2013, 03:12:03 PM
they do have their own support forums. Which everybody has been real helpful. I've asked the bunch of questions and always got a good answer. I placed my order with the pre-order number of about 150 and order number of 1100. The Jupiter arrived on the 8th and has been working well. There have been some issues along the way. But they have been releasing newer firmware which has really helped with the energy usage and errors. At the same time not hurt the speed too much. I'm hashing at about 500 GH average and am using .95 firmware.

If you're not happy with your purchase, I would contact them and ask for a refund. Do not automatically file a charge back without first contacting them to resolve any issues you may have. As chargebacks can affect the merchant account negatively. It not only costs the company a chargeback fee but also it goes on your record.

so they mislead us (lied) about the MPP to get us to invest in them

where is this coming from? There's no MPP anymore or what.
