903  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Publix Sweet Tea on: July 21, 2013, 02:13:00 AM
lolwut, we shop at publix weekly. i can pack it up in a Styrofoam cooler with those freezer packs and ship it to you or just freeze the tea in the gallon jugs and pack in a styrofoam cooler. It is only a 3 day trip to you, they will still be ice cold when they arrive. Let me know bud.
904  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 20, 2013, 06:13:47 PM
It's my understanding that:
  a) He will only sell remaining unsold shares when funds are needed.
  b) Shares will be released at market price after a sufficient warning is given.

As long as the above two stipulations are followed, I can't think of any reason why the market wouldn't be active.

Ken, I know your busy, but at some point it would be good to clarify your plans on the above and release the amount of shares that are remaining to be sold.

I personally can't wait until the never ending IPO is over and the market can be left to do what it will do.
I enjoy discussing your points, don't want you to think i'm becoming hostile towards you by replying all the time.

a)Why are funds still needed? We reach the NRE days ago, he even announced it via btct.co and here.
b)that's the problem, he is not releasing shares at market price, he is undercutting the market. market price is dictated by supply and demand. as demand increases, supply goes down, and price increases. However what we're dealing with is a stagnant demand, caused by a seemingly bottomless supply of shares, being issued below the current price point. This is economics 101 stuff. How can you defend his actions?

'Never ending IPO' is quite true at this rate.

Listen, i understand sometimes in life we have to suspend disbelief and rely on sheer hope and faith that things 'will' go right. However, that will not happen here without some serious immediate action by kslaughter, who seems content to just check in semi-weekly, ignore questions, and present a generally lackadaisical attitude about it all.

At this rate the wall will be gone by tomorrow and we can return to normal. The people who are pissed because they bought at 28 will get over it when the price easily climbs far above that in the coming weeks and months. Yes it was a silly move by Ken, but it's nothing in the long run.
The third 'silly move' by Ken in less than a week. That constitutes a pattern. All while reading feedback from his investors (and dodging the subsequent questions) and those that have more experience than he has shown telling him it is a bad idea. It is either complete ignorance, naivety, or swindling. I have a large amount invested (i realize 'large' is subjective) and i'm honestly hoping he is just completely inept at all of this.
906  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 20, 2013, 05:38:27 PM
another 350,000 shares put up at 25 by kslaughter on btct.co. This is beyond amateur hour now.

lol He has stated many times that he needed to further release shares to raise money and even told us at what price point they would be released.  This gave everyone a heads up and a chance to get their finances in order for a last shot at cheap shares.  I fail to see how this constitutes 'amateur hour'.

As soon as the wall is down the price will be right up over the previous high and you can all stop complaining.
It's a genius idea that has ensured not a single share was traded since the wall went up (over 30 minutes now), and that the price will be completely stagnant, and maybe even slough, for the foreseeable future. That wall isn't budging. There is no possible way you can spin this as a 'good' thing for investors.

Just a reminder for those buying shares now above 0.0025:

I will be posting 400,000 shares on BTC-TC @ .0025 and 100,000 shares on bitfunder @ .0025 sometime this weekend after the market has time to breath from the resent sales.

Might as well just put them up there now and get it over with.   Tongue

If the offer isn't being rescinded then yes, the market is dead until his happens.

However, this needs to be the last offering that happens like this.

Not trying to suck up any of your business, but i have a very rare Randall i've decided i need to sell. If any of you know the name Randall, you know it means the top quality in the knife game.

Looks like we're going to start seeing AMC everywhere

Auction ended. Final result:
Slots BTC/Slot Person
1 8.75 digitalmagus
6 8.25 kslaughter

Btw Ken have you considered a reddit advert?

I'm not too sure how great they are in terms of impressions - sales but I know there is an active Bitcoin following there too

I think the amount of slots ken bought is a bit of a waste. With just 2 or 3 slots everyone on the forum would see something about ActiveMining.

Reddit advertising is a good idea. The ads there target it to specific subreddits and I don't think it would cost that much to advertise on r/bitcoin and r/bitcoinmining. I typically block most ads, but I have found a few interesting things from the ones r/bitcoin.

Each of the 6 Ads has a different message.
There's 3 pages of questions and WTFs before this one, how about you stop selectively answering?
911  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 20, 2013, 02:57:30 AM
How is pointing out something factual FUD? Jesus people.. Stop being idiots.
Seriously. Stop white knighting and let this man answer the damn questions his investors are asking.

Why are we listing more shares?

Why are you undercutting the current market and your investors when you do?

It's pretty obvious that you are having a hard time with the day to day and PR of this venture. You need to hire people. When will this happen?
912  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 20, 2013, 01:00:46 AM
Ken, you still have not answered one very important question. Why did you release more shares and undercut the market?

He has already done so and promised to do it again:

I will be posting 400,000 shares on BTC-TC @ .0025 and 100,000 shares on bitfunder @ .0025 sometime this weekend after the market has time to breath from the resent sales.
Where in there do you see the answer to the question 'Why'?
913  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 20, 2013, 12:41:31 AM
ffssixtynine is right, we need that board of directors ASAP. It'll relieve some stress from you ken, and get the community more involved. As you said, if you are succesful, your investors are successful, it should also be vice versa. Some people check on this thread every 45 minutes (like me) or even in shorter intervals and are deeply vested in the outcome of ActM. Have them deal with the constant barrage of repeated questions, and filter out the legitimate questions and convey those to you.

Vbs and street have played a decent role in this ipo IMHO. They would be a start, if interested.
vbs for sure. Really smart and passionate about this, plus he is a fellow OTC'er.

Ken, you still have not answered one very important question. Why did you release more shares and undercut the market?
914  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 19, 2013, 11:13:55 PM
I dont see any real walls anywhere. Did Ken end up putting any other walls up?

He said he was putting them up in small chunks.  They're all over the place.
Why is this still needed? If we've hit the NRE, how about we let the market dictate the price, and stop with these 200k+ walls? You're only hurting your investors, Ken.

Ken, transparency gains respect and trust. I hope you understand that and answer shortly.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charities accepting Bitcoin on: July 19, 2013, 04:33:02 AM
Hi all,

I'd like to get a better idea of how wide the adoption rate is for Charitable giving using Bitcoin. If you know of a Charity accepting bitcoin can you post it below.

I'm hoping to use this information to put together a portal for those who would like to use their bitcoins for Charitable giving.

For larger charitable organisations (who are reluctant to use bitcoin) I would like to use a payment integration service to forward fiat donations from the portal directly to the charity of choice.
i was working on a btc charitable mining pool/donation funding site earlier this year. Ended up calling it quits after my fourth failed 'developer'. I still have the framework and all the legwork that went into it. If i can be of help, or assist, please let me know.
916  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Wanna buy KNCMiner? Prediction Data -> Time vs Hash Rate vs Difficulty Data set on: July 19, 2013, 02:18:50 AM

Quote
At KnCMiner we are aware of the service we are providing to our customers. We are also aware that we need our customers to have a return on their devices in order to purchase form us again. With the scale of the supply chains, agreements and factories we have access to, we need to be cautious we don’t ship too many devices and therefore reduce the return to our customers.  So with that in mind our plan is to do as follows:

We will ship no devices in December 2013, January 2014 or  February 2014. Meaning that once we have taken the difficulty up at the end of November we will not release any more hashing power for 3 months. We will then release our new generation of devices, which will begin shipping in March 2014. These devices will also have a much higher GH/$ rating than any of our current offerings.

We would like to state that If any of our competitors continues to add large amounts of hashing power to the network during December, January or February. We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network.

Thanks
KnCMiner Team

Fishy situation. This has the buildings of a complete vaporware scam.

JW, I'd like to work with you on this. I have some professional designs i've been tinkering with for a few months that follow this same line of thinking.
919  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1oz Bronze Bitcoins for Sale (75% copper) on: July 18, 2013, 07:11:07 PM
Sorry if this was unclear. The shipping cost is 25 USD or 0.25BTC to ship international, this is just the shipping cost.

So the cost of 5 coins shipped internationally is 0.5btc.
PM me or post if you have any questions.
It's a pity the shipping is so expensive... I've had silver coins shipped to me from the US for $7. I would like a few, they look awesome, I like the size and weight of them.

I don't have any experience shipping overseas from the united states. The shipping rate is from the USPS website for priority mail flat rate envelopes. If someone knows a good cheap way to ship let me know and I can adjust shipping. I'm not looking to hijack people on shipping charges.
USPS First Class International. You'll have to run to walmart or something and pickup some of your own packaging material (small bubble padded envelopes or the like), but it will be loads cheaper. It comes with tracking, just like Priority, and doesn't have the 13 ounce weight limit like the standard First Class mail.

Here we go again. The American nutcases.
Because it's nuts to have real, meaningful rights? Sorry your government does not trust you, mine trusts me.

I can't say for sure if my government trusts me...I have my doubts...
But I can say I don't trust my government.  Sent a PM about the .308.

Edit: The .308 is not for the government, but to get ready for the elk hunt and learn how to use the scope out beyond 400 yards.
Replied.
