ffssixtynine is right, we need that board of directors ASAP. It'll relieve some stress from you ken, and get the community more involved. As you said, if you are succesful, your investors are successful, it should also be vice versa. Some people check on this thread every 45 minutes (like me) or even in shorter intervals and are deeply vested in the outcome of ActM. Have them deal with the constant barrage of repeated questions, and filter out the legitimate questions and convey those to you.

Vbs and street have played a decent role in this ipo IMHO. They would be a start, if interested.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

vbs for sure. Really smart and passionate about this, plus he is a fellow OTC'er.

Ken, you still have not answered one very important question. Why did you release more shares and undercut the market?

Just a side note, AMC-PT has 1000BTC more 24h volume than ASICMINER-PT on BTC-TC!

That is freaking amazing. Ok, if we were not on Friedcat's radar before today, we are now!

Friedcat mentioned AMC in the last Quarterly report.

Just in case people aren't clear about this... you are talking about the unofficial quarterly report created by forum member/investor Franktank. It was not created by friedcat or ASICMINER, so they didn't mention AMC, Franktank did.

What's the best way to get in touch with Ken? I'm a part time graphic designer (full time student) who'd be very interested in doing some work for free or a low negotiable fee paid in shares in regards to the VMC logo and website. Whilst I think that Activemining is a great company, great enough in fact for me to own a substantial amount of shares in, I feel the graphic side of our online presence is lacking the professionalism and polish we need to become more successful.

I'm a reasonably successful seller on the Graphic River marketplace and have also done some official work for Litecoin, which can be seen at my portfolio.

To put it shortly, I've got high hopes for the company and want to improve its online graphic presence, how do I get in contact with Ken?

Cheers!

True. I guess I should have made that more clear.  Still there's absolutely no way friedcat doesn't know what's going on with ActiveMine.  What's interesting is that AsicMiner can really juice it's hardware sales with better competition coming on board.  It's an arms race they want to happen, difficulty jumps beget more hardware sales and so on and so forth.

<-- Would like to become a director.
I'm investor and shareholder myself, holding a large position.
Have knowledge about money and Open-Source technology. Talented and has good ideas.
And, in fact, I have recruited 2 of my friends to invest in this endeavor also.

What kind of time commitments will it require ?
Are there legal liabilities ? (Obviously, if I work for free, for the goodwill of the share-holders, I refuse to take any legal responsibility)

The board has to provide balance and experience. It would be reported to even tho it would be advisory only; it's ken's company. It has to look at things as critically as it does positively.

It has to represent shareholders interests and has to get answers to hard questions. It has to respect confidentiality and professionality. It has to give Ken the support he needs.

At this point I think it'd help a great deal as long as it's used correctly and has the right make-up.

I have to say that I don't know the best details - maybe some lessons from Asicminer here?

Haha I wish, 300K shares would pay my student debt off twice over! I'm willing to work for ramen money, with the main focus on expanding my design portfolio.

I'll send Ken a PM and hopefully he'll be interested.

Wait a minute. Didn't this SNAFU happen with the original IPO for AMC with the original shares going for 0.0005, rising to 0.0008, and then a bunch of shares being dumped at 0.0005 again?

Ken, you still have not answered one very important question. Why did you release more shares and undercut the market?

He has already done so and promised to do it again:

I will be posting 400,000 shares on BTC-TC @ .0025 and 100,000 shares on bitfunder @ .0025 sometime this weekend after the market has time to breath from the resent sales.
Where in there do you see the answer to the question 'Why'?

We can only make suggestions as it's completely up to Ken.

The first task would be to persuade him it's a priority and that it will make his life easier in the immediate future. He may already have a plan that involves existing colleagues or major investors we don't know about.

At least some of the board need to have taken strong shareholding positions and all should be independent of ken and activeminer in all other ways. Time and legalities I don't know.

Since this would probably not a shareholding based board (since that was never advertised) it may be that a small shareholding is made available to each director contingent upon time served etc. Although some or all would do it free, nothing concentrates the mind more than having a real vested interest, and it certainly helps when putting time aside for a smaller investor.

Let us not forget, bitcoin fans or not, that this is a multi million dollar commercial venture.

If it were to be a shareholding based board then this would be irrelevant as their holdings would be sufficiently high to be of paramount importance individually.

I've just messaged him now, hopefully I'll hear back soon. I actually did some logo work for Litecoin that you can find on the Litecoin wiki site so hopefully that will put me in good stead. I'm not looking to suck thousands of dollars out of the guy, ramen money and something to add to my portfolio for later life will be enough of a reward.

Yeah basically people don't read contracts and get all pissy when an asset issuer exercises their rights that are rather explicitly explained within said contract.

All water under the bridge now though...or at least that's what you'd think.  ha.

From what I understand on that issue it was actually the exchange owner that made Ken put forth the new shares at 0.0005 as it stated in the contract
