So i just sent $1000 worth of btc to electrum wallet. When I tried to send, it said i needed password. and that was just a test wallet. so now i have lost $1000 because there is no such thing as bitcoin support. great.... so how are people insured if someone types the wrong address, adds a zero, or forget their private key. Why did satoshi not think of this?
Are you sure that you sent your Bitcoins to a test wallet and transaction is valid? You must always check and recheck when sending your BTC. People are insured by their carefulness. It is a point that you're responsible for everything: typing addresses, securing your private key and storing your BTC only in safe place. |

I guess that in long term Monero will rise to 50 USD and probably more. I'm happy about great work done by the developers and fluffypony is one of the best on the scene. As Charlie Lee stated in his twitter post, XMR team are doing honest marketing, so they are not expanding as wide as Dash. But Monero has better technology and in long term it should surpass all the other privacy oriented alts.

Better look at coins with a small market cap, Nav will do great next 2 months. If monero drop a lot might buy some now i rather wanna sit out. With your analogy no one would have bought bitcoin when it even passed the 3 Digits. It is a great point. I remember who sold BTC in the last run for 200 USD and after a week the price went over 1000 USD. Monero is in early days of experimentation but it has more potential to grow, than Bitcoin has. I may be wrong but XMR does what BTC can't offer - advanced privacy features. If XMR will succeed, about what we can't be sure, the price of it will grow exponentially. i hate to say it but i dont think any government anywhere is buying bitcoin. A few have probably gained some by seizing for example usa but they get sold. If governments thought bitcoin would ever amount to anything then price would be much higher sue to the volumes they would be buying. PBOC s only concern is CNY escaping from the country. Yes, I should agree that your assumption is reasonable as Bitcoin marketcap is tiny and huge sums of money will pump it to the moon very quickly. But still it is not a proof that governments are not investing at all not only in monetary terms. In my opinion Chinese governement is concerned not only about CNY outflow but also about the rising price of BTC. They are trying to influence it by announcements of PBOC. As you know, China has a huge depository of gold, so Bitcoin beating the price of gold is not what they want to see. However, I'm not concerned about PBOC statements as they have less efect on BTC price but I'm concerned about the inside speculation. It is not difficult to drive BTC price up with serious amount of money. Probably some sharks are playing this game and we will see another dump after BTC approaches the levels of 1200 USD. If not, the support level will be around 1165 USD. |
