901  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: January 03, 2018, 01:42:10 AM
As of the moment i don't think some altcoins can overtake bitcoin because bitcoin now is well established and it has a lot of supporters and investors. I agree too that it's impossible for some coins now to reach it's price and support but who knows in the future there is one altcoin that will follow the path of bitcoin in terms of price.
The only way for an alt to surpass bitcoin will be to solve some of the issues that has plagued the bitcoin network for a long time, and that is the high fees that are a huge problem right now, many coins promise that but the devs of those coins are simply lying or exaggerating to get more investors.
902  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: January 03, 2018, 01:39:15 AM
There is not even a single advantages of paper money in the future because people prefer digital money instead paper money.
If you are having paper money:
1) Anyone can take a way
2) Less secured
3) Not profitable
4) Can be spend soon
5) Less worthy
6) A single paper money cannot buy happiness.
Paper money does have some advantages over bitcoin, one of that is that cash is in fact anonymous, something that bitcoin is not that is why cash is still the preferred way of criminals to store their wealth and this is governments want to get rid of cash as well.
903  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: January 02, 2018, 03:12:54 AM
Getting a job is not possible for everyone, not everyone has family or [friends] to help them and sometimes they will make the bad situations even worse them. If you've ever really needed money and were very desperate, than you probably know that people would let you starve to death rather than give you $5.

It's weird how people won't toss out just a few dollars to help someone in need, yet they'll spend $10000 or more on their pet that has an average life span of under 5 years.

But then again, if you give the person in need money, they'll keep coming back for it. It's a real crap shoot

People scam for some reason sometimes they commit crime such as what so called scam , just to fill their needs in daily lives , and some are doing it because of greedyness of a person. As you said to because of very desperate on what their desire is they committing crime , and they scam to just to become rich , rich and richer they wanted more than just a thousand , they wanted more as higher than a million. And yes it have a return or what so called karma , either it's good or bad.

On the other hand, they become selfish to right? , what if they just spend a few dollars to help some in need , that spend it to nonsense things. We all have different perspective through out this topic but for me is all I wanna say is people scamming, is because they wanted more they been dazzled through money.
I find the motives of a scammer to be irrelevant, after all a scammer may say that he is doing that to feed his family and even if that was true, there are people all over the world that need to feed their families as well and they do not rely on taking the money of other people by deceptive means.
904  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: January 02, 2018, 03:02:59 AM
bitcoin is already an international currency because a lot of people use it to transfer money from one countries to another.
I do not know if a lot of people are using it in that way after all the fees are getting out of control if the issue with the fees was already bad enough a months ago, things have gotten even worst and we do not know if this is going to improve at all in the near term.
905  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ? on: January 02, 2018, 02:51:56 AM
Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ?  Huh
We do not know, but it does not matter, if bitcoin stays still then we can buy more bitcoin and stock all the bitcoin we can, if the price goes up then we benefit since our holdings go up but if the price keeps decreasing then we can take advantage of it and get more bitcoin for our money.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did you choose bitcoin? on: January 02, 2018, 02:46:43 AM
People considered owning Bitcoin is like owning gold, just to make a profit from the rate increase . At present , Bitcoin has a big name . It's value is very much .
I think this is one of the biggest reasons why bitcoin is going up many people are holding their bitcoin and are not selling despite these high prices, this reduces the the supply of bitcoin available to the general public and this makes the price to go up dramatically when there is a surge in the demand.
907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So raiblocks went x100 in dec and none of u suggested it :( on: January 02, 2018, 02:33:37 AM
so really now, which coin will x100 this or next month? i say colx or zoin because they are community projects and better than verge.colx is also ee like rai.

any other tips and WHY? no paid suggestions of shitcoins please.
The reason for that is simple, no one can predict what it is going to happen, just look at the price of bitcoin in this year, how many people predicted that bitcoin will reach this price, very few if any, and that is bitcoin the most popular crypto, so it is not surprise that no one could predict such a pump.
908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to gain 1% daily profit from trading? on: December 31, 2017, 02:45:38 AM
There's no thing that doesn't have risk. Don't play fire if you don't like smoke. 1%/day is so little if you smart enough to see every chance.
Mistake, one percent may look like a small percentage to earn but that is because people are spoiled with their profits, most traders in other markets like forex or stocks only earn 6% to 8% per year and people here in the forum think that 1% is too low, go figure.
909  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall again soon? on: December 31, 2017, 02:40:37 AM
Will bitcoin crash and disappear? I’d say most probably not! Is Bitcoin a bubble? At the moment, yes!

However, there are more and more new technology adoptions and even more Venture Capitals as well as Hedge Funds backing Bitcoin, which is pushing the Bitcoin Price higher and higher. There is just limited number of Bitcoins available. When Bitcoin Mining will come to its end, that is the time Bitcoin Price will start flying high!
Bitcoin mining it is not going to end, while the miners have a bad reputation the truth is that the network while not survive without them and while we are getting close to the point the block reward is going to become very low we still need the miners to maintain the network and to confirm our transactions.
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in altcoin still worth? on: December 31, 2017, 02:34:00 AM
Investing in altcoins is much bettern than investing in BTC for the long run,if you invest 1000 dollars in btc last january 2017 it will be $5k but if you invest in litecoin or neo which is cheaper it wil be more than x 15
The problem is that is not as easy to guess which altcoins are going to have a rise in value, investing in the altcoins that are at the top is not that much better so if you want to obtain great profits you will need to take a risk investing in icos and we know that is a high risk proposition in which you could become a millionaire or lose all your money.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would be expected after ETH goes Pos? on: December 31, 2017, 02:24:16 AM
In terms of price and emission... has anything been already said by Vitalik or any other main figure in the field? What is your view and why?
I have always thought that it is a bad idea for ethereum to move to proof of stake, the miners are going to desert ETH and probably are going to move to ETC or other coins, those that receive free coins are probably going to dump it in the market and that is going to make the price to go down.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: December 31, 2017, 02:20:34 AM
I totally agree that 1-2 years is not enough to see how high this will grow. This needs some time for development in all aspects of it.
Maybe not but that does not mean we are not going to see a huge growth in that time, you do not need to hold a coin to the end, hold it a long as you can, once you understand the difference you are not going to lament not investing from the beginning of the life of a coin and you will learn to look for good opportunities, even at the current price waves is still a steal get it while you still can.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes Bitcoin to move this fast? on: December 30, 2017, 01:44:13 AM
I guess the main reason why bitcoin us moving this fast, aparr from bitcoin now is trending, there are plenty of people investing in bitcoin now. I think almost everyday there are new investors. There many people who register in bitcoin, work in mining, trading and signature campaign. Millions of people are bitcoin worker or earning from bitcoin. This makes bitcoin very popular. And people share what they have in bitcoin. This encourage investors to invest because there testimonials and i think thats the reason why bitcoin is moving fast because of there plenty involve in bitcoin.
I agree, this growth is not normal for bitcoin so this means that something exceptional is happening and what it is happening is that a lot of people are now entering the market of bitcoin and investing in it, this has created a bigger demand and at the same time since the supply is so low this has created the perfect recipe for such an exponential growth of bitcoin.
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to stop ICO ? on: December 30, 2017, 01:32:27 AM
every single day ICO projects always appear with their respective advantages. but in fact, many are experiencing failure in the end. they just waste time and spend money to advertise? how about you're opinion Huh

I wish every ICO should be successful because dev put all team effort and money into their project, currently i am looking forward to Gilgamesh (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2162600.0)... and i wish they will get success at the end.
That is simply impossible, not every single ico can become a success, that will require that every single ico was a valuable project to the community and as we can see most of the time that is not the case, in fact the failure rate of icos is astonishingly high and to be honest I am not surprised about it.
915  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on with the price today? on: December 30, 2017, 01:26:24 AM
Things looked somewhat promising yesterday as it was holding steady in the mid-high 16k range, even breaching 17k. Now it's in the low 15k. What's going on? Are we still hodling? Newbie asking for a friend here.
If you are worried about such a small change in the price then I do not know if bitcoin is for you, tell your friend to check his strategy and think what he wants to accomplish with bitcoin, does he wants to earn money in the short term or does he wants to earn money for the long term.
916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: December 29, 2017, 02:21:59 AM
Old age is not an obstacle, we can advise our retired relatives to invest in bitcoin. Explain to them, but do not force them to invest. Let those who decide for themselves whether to invest or enjoy their old age without interruption.
You may want to rethink that now, being old is an impediment to hold bitcoin for the long term, what are you going to do if you invest in bitcoin and then suddenly everything goes down and you lose a lot of money and due to some emergency related to your health you are forced to cash out even when the price is that bad.
917  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: December 29, 2017, 02:20:10 AM
Panic sell and Panic buy are things that belong to newbies in crypto. Best strategy was to hold 50% and 50% in top 10 Alts.
People can you know, make the same mistake again and again even if you think that people should learn from their mistakes that only happens if people take the time to think why they made their mistakes in the first place and that is not something that is that common.
918  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: December 29, 2017, 02:17:45 AM
yes I think everyone would want to be rich because by being rich we can buy anything including happiness.
money is not everything but everything needs money including to buy happiness
You cannot buy happiness with money many people think the same but there are many people that are miserable and are rich and there are those that are poor and are happy you may or may not believe it but that is the way things really work, if money could make you happy then no one without money will ever reach happiness.
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think BCH will replace BTC in the future? on: December 29, 2017, 02:11:22 AM
It will not replace BTC, but an attempt is in process at the moment..  Wink
I do not believe that BCH can replace bitcoin. Because the platform and community of bitcoin is irreplaceable. There are many altcoin that want to replace bitcoin but they can not do it and I think BCH is no exception.
But at the same time you need to understand that such efforts are not going to work right now that the community is more or less small and has a deep understanding about what bitcoin is about but as more people use bitcoin that is going to change so they are going to have the chance to continue their attack on bitcoin.
920  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: December 29, 2017, 02:08:27 AM
The current transaction with paper money continues to decrease so that many countries plan to replace with digital money, in addition to easy to control the use of digital money is not destructive nature because paper money raw materials are paper that comes from trees.
Eventually,  there will be no paper in the world at all, there is no future whatsoever when it comes to paper money and everything will be digital, I will not be surprised if countries start making their own cryptocurrencies.
I agree in spirit with what you said but at the same time we need to recognize the limitations of digital currencies, you need a big infrastructure to make digital currencies work, cash in the other hand only needs some printers so it is easy to see why paper money is going to be around for a long time.
