Yeah to each their own, but let's put it this way, I enjoy lesbian BDSM but that doesn't mean I'm going to spend over $1000 to have a gigantic picture of two women doing it plastered over my wall..... Well I might do it if I knew some deeply religious people were going to visit but that's another story Cheesy
9063  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I really hate SomethingAwful on: November 07, 2012, 06:02:43 PM
..... $300 for what is essentially a hentai drawing? People can draw whatever they like but as an artist even I have a hard time justifying that price, I look at paintings like the mona lisa etc.

Much of that $300 was for printing out such a large thing on photo paper on a large plotter. It was a lot of ink. The original went for that much because it was from a very well known artist, or a very well known subject, and the price included all the original parts of the art, including sketches and Adobe Photoshop files. It was only because the person who won it at the auction received the Photoshop files that I was able to get a huge print from him.

If it's just to cover the cost I can understand but then I end up asking "Who the hell wants a hentai picture that big being displayed for everyone to see in their house?" LOL Cheesy

..... You voted Ron Paul and you think same-sex marriage is a bad thing? The constitution merely defines marriage as between a man and a woman it doesn't make it illegal for the same sex to marry.
9065  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Way to go America...look at what you just did to us! on: November 07, 2012, 04:14:22 PM
Let me guess, you voted Republican?
9066  Other / Off-topic / Re: What we've learnt today. on: November 07, 2012, 04:12:37 PM
Americans are stupid.

LOL I was thinking of writing this but I didn't know whether it would be a very diplomatic thing to say Cheesy

Oh please, I don't even need to post a video to prove that the baby boomer generation ( This is what we call those folks who benefited from the economic boom at their childrens' expense ) the idea of 'compulsory' education is entirely laughable you can't force someone to learn something, if you even try that's a form of indoctrination which is what I believe current western education is. Baby Boomers steal from their children with inflation and the rich steal a whole lot from the middle class as well as the poor.

Yes Obama is better than Mitt Romnius Wellington III ( I think that's what Jon Stewart called him Cheesy ) but why they didn't just vote for a third party is beyond me the only good thing I think will come out of this Democratic victory is we now get to see how bad a Democratic president will be since we've already seen how terrible a Republican president would be for 8 years.

I find it hard to believe that the two party system has survived for so long.

Who knows, perhaps 60% of your country voted for Gary Johnson, but you will never know because the controlled media has everyone convinced that it's only a tiny minority? Keep people divided and morale low. Grin

I'm British Cheesy

..... $300 for what is essentially a hentai drawing? People can draw whatever they like but as an artist even I have a hard time justifying that price, I look at paintings like the mona lisa etc. with their price tag like this:

It's how much for the original? O_O   <

If my art ever reaches those prices somehow feel free to burn it since I'll probably have put it on the internet anyway I think high priced artwork is a bit of a ponzi scheme.
9072  Other / Off-topic / Re: Congrats Obama on: November 07, 2012, 09:11:43 AM
I'm sorry guys, but for awhile now I'm going to think Americans are the most stupid people on the planet even more than usual, don't you remember what happened with George Bush?

I also hate how he took the "Four more years" idea from the west wing lol if he hired the writers for that show to do his speeches then that would make a lot of sense all of a sudden.

Interesting, with java installed Bitminter works great, guess I'll be using that then.

9076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I can't mine! on: November 06, 2012, 11:41:41 PM

9077  Other / Off-topic / Who else is starting to hate the bad things that come with Christmas? on: November 06, 2012, 11:39:21 PM
It's that time of year, past November 5th and all the pretty fireworks and sparklers ( the one holiday that mass commercialism hasn't butchered yet ) and now I am dreading Christmas, in the UK I fear the school rush and I actually take routes I know to avoid the suicidal parents that I have to dodge like rockets are coming at my car at times but Christmas? I've never had to drive during that but I'm already terrified, and then the piss take it is with your family where you have to feel like crap about it all because you're unemployed but be diplomatic and nice about it at the same time. Not to mention all the commercial advertisement going on which you can barely avoid and the horrible christmas music that never changes.

Damn I'm bitter Sad am I the only one who just enjoys having a christmas tree in the living room with pretty lights?

9080  Other / Beginners & Help / I can't mine! on: November 06, 2012, 11:06:52 PM
I'm getting error messages all over the place, I've tried making my firewall trust the bitcoin.exes and I've checked all the usual thing like my settings, first thing I wanted to try was solo mining, you know, just because Cheesy then I tried signing up to my deepbit account and all of a sudden it doesn't let me through on that either, despite me being able to log in just fine on the site itself.

Here are the errors that I see:

Deepbit lib.InfoException: wrong login and password Z39sZGVuaGFuZDFAbGI2ZS5jby51

Solo mining:

Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC 0 2

Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC 1 2

No more backup pools left. Using primary and starting over.
