So, what will they be doing those 5 days between receiving the chips and shipping the first devices? drooling?

Oh they could send you a chip right away, no doubt about that. But if you want a fully functional assembled miner, you are skipping almost all the steps involved. What do you think BFL did for 6 months after they received their first wafers. Drool?

BTW,  getting these chips from Taiwan or wherever they are being cut and packaged to Sweden in under a week is also anything but a given. Granted, I have no experience with Swedish customs, but in most countries that can take several weeks. Unless as someone suggested, you rent a plane or go pick up those chips in person.

there is also a possibility that customs will hold chips to toroughly check if it isnt technology transfer or anything like that
avalons were held in customs by weeks

it can be also chinese asic producers defence to hold the chips intentionally.

if they will be relased in november bye bye roi...

Given the enormous time to market pressure I cant blame these guys for hoping for the best, but there is no other industry in the world where they expect to ship to consumers less than 2 weeks after receiving their first processed wafers. For the record, it took BFL like 6 months or so?

Wafers have to be cut in parts, tested and packaged (5 days or more). They have to customs/fly to sweden (3 days or more, if knc will not rent a charter plane). Then testing boards/software/production line update/packaging  (5 days or more). Then shipping abroad (3 days or more).

They have 16 days in best scenario (if there will be 0 error/perfect work but in IT it is not possible).

That gives 1 october first delivery. It is very unlikely.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 17, 2013, 06:14:32 AM
Jesus Christ people.  If there aren't any problems, do you have to invent them mentally just to make some up?

I'm awfully tired of all the "I think this, and I think that, I think they can't ship on time, I think they can't build them on time, I don't think their chips will work, I think they're going to be late, I think they're not going to ship until mid October" BS, regardless of how many times Sam says things are on schedule and there are no perceived delays.

I understand that for you Sam@Knc is Jesus and he will make you very rich. He just cant lie, so he is on shedule.

Please understand that if he will tell the truth about real shipping date it will be refund disaster.

Do you remember Inaba, his two weeks?
Bfl had the chips months before shipping and they failed.
knc has one week and no chips/prototype board yet.

They changed style from we are sure to we do belive...

There are two weeks left and we still believe that we will ship boxes this month.
If we miss this deadline it will be very upsetting for us.

Quoted for future trolling/bashing.

I spoke to kncminer yesterday. The chips are in the final stages of production in taiwan. soon as they are ready they will be flown over in the next couple of weeks ready for production end of September. This month cannot go fast enough for me. ..

For those who keep saying that they have already missed their ship date I present a question;

If even 1 Jupiter ships before the end of September, then they have kept their word. would this not be a success? Have the bets that have been placed taken this into account rulewise?

http://bitbet.us/bet/472/kncminer-will-deliver-asic-devices-before-october-1st/

5 members of community have to get miners in their homes
so i think it is easy bet.

no chips yet, KNC declaration that chips will be produced about 27 september + delivery to sweden/customs 5 days + production/testing/prototype 5 days + shipping to customer 5 days.
equals 12 october first orders.

Do you investors expect to make ROI?

If so, how much profit do you realistically hope to earn? Please include the contract (silver, gold) you purchased.

http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ enjoy.

It all depends on whether Cloudhashing will deliver. Use the calculator with 90% hashing power for non-reinvestment contracts and 65% for reinvestment contracts.

if calculations from this calculator are close to reality we all would be very rich!

but it is not true.
use real calculation, considering network growth, for example in last 30 days BTCGuild pool has tripled its hashrate.

To be honest that doesnt sound like september delivery to me.

Come on it is just two weeks...
People paid for jupiters about 100 bitcoins with vat, when network speed was 180TH/s, now 1PH

They will get back around 50% btc in next few months

After knc 1 batch, network will achieve 4PH or more, so people from the end of october will get back 30% or less.

November batch 2 pricing is not profitable at all.

No they didn't they paid for a product priced in dollars, and most of the promised network for this period hasn't made it online.

It is nice to see Bfl Inaba there Smiley

If chips will be ready at next couple of weeks, so 27 sept + 5 days transport/customs + few days production + few days shipping/customs to customer it gives half october...

New business plan in town - selling backplanes. I was waiting for this moment since friedcat announced backplanes.

lots of New Blades are still available as well as USB miners.

a new order of 5+ blades can add a backplane for .25 btc
an order of 10 blades gets the backplane for free

Sells are not going as expected? Not good...

backplanes were for every 10 blades
many of blades were sold in small quantities so there is a lot of spare backplanes
better to sell them then send back

On the other hand.. they have boards and they have chips..

the 500TH is on route,  they have issues - they are F*cking up not being totally honest, we need an engineer here for us to do a Q & A, also I want a smartphone video of the lab & what they are working on.

it doesn't need to be professional & it only needs to be up for a few hours, but we need the video proof now.

disclosure - still holding & will be buying more when I see the above.

quit dreaming - it's daytime.

130nm chips, 1.8GH/sec
7 times better than competition
They are breaking psychics laws with their unicorns

In two weeks 50TH.

Yeah it is legit

Lies after lies... But wait two weeks... Or seven to be sure.

Dividends getting smaller, how many weeks until we have our own ASIC's?

Last divs, 150 satoshi per share

In early december will be about 13 satoshi per share.

Much lower then faucet and free bitcoins for clicking spam sites...

Lol.

939  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 08:37:04 AM
the 3 million shares should either not be tradeable on BTCT until a certain amount of time
OR the shares should be marked/colored in a way so that people know that they are buying the team's shares. this would also indicate for everyone to panic - heh

I agree, there's a reason there's a IPO "lock up" period for insiders in real world IPO. Especially when labcoin is going against the norm on btct (insider shares are not normally tradable)

I would like to point out that the 'Lock in' period for founders/insiders is one of those 'sometimes there is one, sometimes not'. I can also say that the Labcoin team didn't even consider this in the IPO process due to no one being interested in selling out shares in the project. That said, I will talk to Sam this weekend to see about a public solution that will allow share holders to feel secure in that the Labcoin founders and developers are not selling out.

Two ways this can be addressed on BTCT.

- The founders could turn on their public portfolios and publish a list of url's where the shares are held.
- (with Labcoin's consent) if they send us a list of accounts that are holding the shares we can lock the accounts and publicly state the number of shares effectively "in escrow".

WAITING

I just need a list of accounts to lock.  (feel free to PM or email me.)

Cheers.

Here you go, about locking shares...
940  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 08:27:42 AM
They lied to shareholders.
Swede is promising 50Th in 2 weeks.
labcoin account says wait till november

Wtf?

Fake boards without proper traces, naked, faked chip photos.

Yeah it is scam, very badly crafted.

Burnside said he is waiting for personal data to lock the shares... But they are not giving it to him.

Finally shares will be at satoishi value after liquidating failed outdatted chips and bag of useless boards.
