923  Bitcoin / Project Development / Wallet autobackup app? on: April 03, 2014, 10:10:30 PM
Everyday I see people loosing their coins (Bitcoins and altcoins) because they forgot to make backup, sometimes people loose different kind of coins.

So I am wondering, why doesn't someone makes a simple app for autobackup (1 click backup). I don't think it's hard to code.

App just need to autodetect clients or there should a option to chose file manually and it should create encrypted backups (encrypted zip) of all coins on secure cloud storage or pendrive or a different partition of HDD.

924  Economy / Speculation / Re: It escapes me!!! on: April 03, 2014, 09:52:20 PM
Only those peoples are going out who are either
in need of fiat
invested too much
bought coins at 500+
are altcoin bag holders
etc etc..

check your address on blockexplorer, what's it's showing now, and make a new post about it in multibit forum so a expert user can help you.

Ps: Read about it here https://github.com/jim618/multibit-website/issues/58
927  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blockchain.info phishing scam. on: April 03, 2014, 09:35:12 AM
That is the exact message I received on the 29th.  Obviously phishing. But this begs the question, how was my email compromised and what else is going on a blockchain.info that we are not being told?

You have 3 email id's on your profile, if you got email on other private email, that's because you probably used it in some shady bitcoin related website.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin lost ? on: April 03, 2014, 12:47:06 AM
Why doesn't QT gives a backup warning after those 100 address are used. Dev should add this function, i dont think its hard to implement it.

932  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: BTC stolen from electrum wallet on: April 02, 2014, 04:51:08 PM
If you want to keep your coins safe, buy a USB memory stick with over 8 GB and install Ubuntu on it, and boot your Electrum from there.

+1, and OP if you have Java enabled in your browser, disable it.

Here are some more tips

937  Economy / Speculation / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bobby Lee Confirms Bitcoin China Ban, It's finally Happened on: April 01, 2014, 09:20:42 PM
Most of the people still donīt get it. Itīs not about the news that will push the market downwards, itīs about the chinese money that will leave the market in a few days.

I don't think chinese would like to sell a currency that is worldwide accepted and can be cashed in any part of world.
938  Economy / Speculation / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bobby Lee Confirms Bitcoin China Ban, It's finally Happened on: April 01, 2014, 09:06:36 PM

The denial by bitcoiners here is amazing don't be so emotional. Read the damn article, the exchanges are seeking to move overseas even, if banks are banned how do people deposit money or withdraw money, of course bitcoin trading is legal they can't stop it but if I can't get ur money in or out what's the fucking use.

Read:

"Making it clear that domestic banks cannot provide clearing, account opening and other services for bitcoin exchanges, however, leaves exchanges with significantly less room to maneuver"

You don't have anything else to do? I assume you have sold your coins long time ago, now why are you even here?
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bobby Lee Confirms Bitcoin China Ban, It's finally Happened on: April 01, 2014, 08:56:01 PM
They are just posting what others are spreading. I doubt bobby lee talked to that newspaper instead of chinese or american newspaper.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here's Why You Should Invest In Numus Right NOW on: April 01, 2014, 04:11:53 PM
i believe it to be a scam. if Anon136 releases the bitcoins before the blockchain is released, thats wrong. I also believe that Numus is betting on the fact that some people won't even bother with Escrow.

you guys have been warned.

I already told about this issue to Anon, now it's upto him what he does but avoid investing money without escrow.
