941  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sorry, y'all: Game Over. I'm about to buy all the bitcoin. on: August 03, 2012, 02:52:34 AM
Wow - is that a phishing site? Or are they trying to run a real exchange off of Mtgox's reputation?
Looking at the price, I guess it's just a weak scam. I wonder if they've caught anyone.

I'm not able to take advantage of your rental offering at the moment, but I'll show it to everyone I know if you'll post a decent selection of pictures.

Right now there's probably a lot more use for black market transactions than computer hardware. Even if you have a problem with the black market, this doesn't reflect poorly on the currency....just points out that it's valuable and more useful than physical currency or credit cards.

LOL smoothie. That was a fast delete.  Wink

Might be time to take out that 5.5% bank loan and stop shorting BTC yoch.
Disclaimer: not that it's any of my business.

I may be doing the same thing in the not too distant future. If so, I look forward to meeting the rest of you guys. Did you choose Manchester because of the FSP population or was it the natural choice for other reasons?

Awesome, we need more bitcoiners! PM me if you need any more info about FSP, if you want to join Facebook pages or forums, etc. NH was a pretty good choice because of the location, low taxes and lower bureaucracy than most places, but the Libertarian population was probably the biggest factor.
I signed the FSP commitment statement at least 12 years ago....before the state selection actually. But I haven't been active on the forums for a long time. I do know some people who moved recently.
I meant Manchester, specifically.

949  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're going to hit $20 unless somebody starts shorting. on: August 02, 2012, 08:17:55 PM
The market is in ecstasy right now. Will there be anyone to knock it back to the present?
Caught out short?
The present is now.
950  Economy / Speculation / Re: TEN!! So it begins.. on: August 02, 2012, 07:04:59 PM
You'd think it'd take increasingly more time.
I wouldn't. Price depends on demand. Demand depends at least partially on adoption rate. At some point adoption could become exponential until we hit some kind of saturation, which we are currently far from.
Going to be one hell of a ride.

FSP was a big part of why I moved.

952  Economy / Services / Re: Bitfloor (or other client) transaction ID. on: August 02, 2012, 06:27:42 PM
I have registered for their service, I will contact them... but I was trying to get something that works now, so people could at least check out.

I would guess even if they agree to write a plugin for free (Bitpay wants $600), its not going to be done this afternoon! Wink

Cool, I just wanted to make sure this option didn't get lost in the mix. Paysius seems like they are hungry to compete. Their fee is much lower and they did this for another customer. Maybe they will solve all your problems.

The more businesses that start adding Bitcoin payment options, the more competition there will be among merchant services, and the cheaper it will be for merchants.

Hopefully one day your distributor will accept Bitcoin and then you won't need any middleman!

953  Economy / Services / Re: Bitfloor (or other client) transaction ID. on: August 02, 2012, 06:17:16 PM
I appreciate everyone's input on this... However I do not have the technical skill to work with an API.

Bitpay and the like do not have plugins for 3dcart (the cart I use). However I think I developed a solution that will work until a plugin is developed.
David, I don't mean to beat this into the ground, but it seems like you haven't read any of my responses about this.

Paysius wrote a custom plugin for a shopping cart system they didn't currently support on request from a customer.

Why not contact them and see if they will write one for you?
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is HUGE: WIKISPEED, first car-maker in the world to accept Bitcoin on: August 02, 2012, 06:06:50 PM

That's very exciting man. Did you move to NH for FSP or were you there for other reasons?
956  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Next New Hampshire Bitcoin Meetup on: August 02, 2012, 04:05:07 PM
Aren't there a lot of FSP people in Manchester? I can't believe they're not all coming to Bitcoin meetups yet.
957  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Next New Hampshire Bitcoin Meetup on: August 02, 2012, 03:17:03 PM
Does that bar accept Bitcoin payments yet?

My customer service experience has been better than great.

Buy a voltage conditioner. I have one for all of my machines.
960  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: due for a price correction? on: August 01, 2012, 12:38:26 AM
You're free to express your opinion of where the market should go, according to your holdings. If you feel the price should be lower, sell all your BTC.  Grin
