You can now use bitcoins to checkout on our site....
It is not an ideal solution at all, I have to set the exchange rate by hand every day in the code of the checkout page (I could not figure out how to pull the current price from another domain with javascript)... and everyone who orders will be sending their bitcoins to the same address... which in the other thread I was told could lead to fraud.
However I think people looking to cheat the system are not going to be spending their energy trying to get free tea. Also this is just a stop gap measure until a plugin for my cart is available.
So... just use the shopping cart as normal and when you get to the payment page select bitcoin as the payment method and you will be given instructions on the address to send the payment.

(It would be nice if someone tests out the system.... if you want your bitcoins returned instead of the order just write that in the comments box (i think bitfloor might keep some of it) )
David, did you contact Paysius about writing a shopping cart plguin that supports your current shopping cart?

This is a hack.!
3 hours after it started ... sigh About 4.5 hours after the trading started. Someone needs a hotline.

Here are my suggestions for all victims. 2. Withdraw ALL BTC immediately. Unless fractional reserve was employed, there should be enough. No BTC was reported to have injected, so this may be your only option of financial recovery.
Best of luck to all victims.
Unless they had a chunk of BTC in cold storage. Then there won't be enough to withdraw.

While mildly exiting, it is actually no fun. Are you, guys, saying that someone can ‘inject’ fake btc into major exchange/service provider, then exchange between the currencies/withdraw and the surplus of the coins would be recorded into the blockchain?
Major doesn't mean secure. BTC-e always looked sketchy as hell to me.

I just sent 1BTC to my btc-e.com account, lol
Mayyyybee... this is for real
Oh, it's "for real" all right. Just not in a good way.

BTC-e has a USD/Resume exchange?
|
|
|
Latest block contains 64,516.55 BTC.
Well people. This may be the end of BTC-e.
|
|
|
Looks like the same type of hack being used on BTC-e right now.
No, it doesn't. Their price has only gone up a little bit. They are just seeing some real demand. They have had similar volume spikes in the past.

Sold a handful at $30-$32. Trying to deposit more. We'll see the results. I'll be a buyer at $15 tonight though if anyone is willing to jump into this....

Out of curiosity, why not?
Lets think this logically (not I wish x would happen because it helps me personally). Why would someone use a MtGox code? Why not just cash out from MtGox? The only possible reason to use a MtGox code is because there is a long delay @ MtGox. IF someone could cash out from MtGox and wait 21 days or cash out from Bitfloor and wait 8 hours which would they pick? So you would see a huge influx of semi-worthless Gox codes. Now when those users cahs out where does the cash come from? It is still on MtGox so the operator has to cash out from MtGox wait 21 days for it to get to his bank account and then pay users. Quickly the cashouts will exceed cash on hand and delay for cashing out will go from 0 days to 21 days. Exactly. Part of the reason I'm using Bitfloor to shield myself from problems with MtGox. I don't want Bitfloor to shoulder part of the liability of MtGox's solvency.

There's no way that's legit.

Uhh, wouldn't a hack explain this best? Someone gets unlimited fiat on the exchange somehow and buys up all coins at any price to get them off?
That's exactly what I was about to speculate. Hope that's not what happened.

David, your solution may still work. You just need to run a local client and generate a new address for each transaction yourself. Then send your bitcoins on to bitfloor when you are ready to sell. Also, check the other thread. Another user has reported that Paysius ( https://paysius.com/ ) wrote a plugin for his shopping cart software on request. They have a cheaper cashout fee (1.49%) and if they write a plugin for 3dcart, you won't have to mess with any of this yourself.

Would also love to see the ability to redeem MtGox codes but I doubt that will happen.
I really hope that doesn't happen.
