Serious question.. . had 10k black coin at 2k but I'm borrowing my dads laptop and he needed it back. He downloaded some dumb shit and now I got hacked....... Could see my password as well fuck it

I have 100 litecoins, 66 myriad coins and no black coins. I want to stop day trading and hold. And seeing anyons community against this one.. This one is the biggest and most amazing. I'm considering selling 50 litecoins and pooring it in black coin and holding it.

But Why do coins like Darkcoin/utc got to a dollar? Why can't blackcoin be at a dollar?

Realy like a serious answer if I should sell 50 of it and hold blackcoin for long term cozz this coin is amazing

I did sell my other 50 litecoin at 13 Cheesy So I could even risk it to see if price drops below 10 and I could double that up again or just buy back at 13 Smiley
I would buy some now maybe 10-20 litecoins, but i think it might drop on sunday following previous patterns,
but who knows it might not come back.
I mined and bought in with litecoins got a fair few @ 500 sat, if only i had bought more!! still not complaining  Cool
We can be at $1 or above, invest i assure you wont regret it, thank me next year  Wink.

As i said earlier pretty sure we will break 10k today.
####Blackcoin Friday  Kiss

Well if I would go for long term. It wouldnt really matter if I would buy now or risk it to buy lower in the 800's. Now I could get like 14k and just hold that long term and if it hits a dollar.. And I see no reason why it should not. PPC has been at this level. And now is amazing time. Cozz everything is down so much. But the infrastucture around crypto coins is getting bigger and bigger by the day. MErchant adoption is going faster then custumors. And blackcoins name is so easy and nice unlike all the other shitty coins. So when bitcoin gets out of the downfall and starts rising all the alt coins go as well. And since this one is the best.. I see nor reason why it Can't act like ppc.
True, just bear in mind you are buying at the top prices.
I dont think you will regret buying in though!
Rat4 and Soep are doing great things, aswell as Iconic expert, with a press release and Blackcoin card, the only way is up!! Smiley

Yes thats true. Every single time black coin gets pumped it follows a dump just a bit higher then previous low and then goes up again. Althought I just want to hold it long term then. Buy now or at 8600 or so is is like 2k coins that I miss out hmm

wait for a better price.  At least that is what I would do.  Unless 10K Sat breaks, then its game on.

Better price? What, like 11 - 12k ? Cheesy

He asked for advice, I gave my opinion.  But I bought in much much lower weeks ago, so what do I know.  Just read the charts and don't trade on emotions.

I hate buying when everyone else is buying.  I like to buy when everyone else is selling.  Smiley

It goes very very slow updating blocks.

Blackcoin to $100 !!!!

let''s do this!!
that wil make me a miljonair of more then 21 milj

Cool Smiley... Anyone with 10,000 or more coins @ $100 will become a millionaire! The funny thing is...it is not a unrealistic number.

Exactly. We just need to be patient and hold our nerve. This community is growing daily and I expect great things to happen in the next 4 weeks. A 500% increase in value in the next 2 months seems realistic. In fact that's being bearish.

If BC over takes BTC then look for $100 plus for sure.

I want to thank the people in the Blackcoin community that helped resolve the security issue with our coin specifically the developer. I hope that we can all continue to work together in the future

+1 since I am a fan of both.

So, MINT is kinda weak right now and it's probably a good time to strike. Hypothetically, let's say a whale with a lot of MINT and BTC wanted to destroy MINT, what would he have to do? I don't think it is as simple as just dumping MINT into the ground, is it? If the whale were to buy up some BC, then dump on MINT, would that mean the MINT bagholders will drop their holdings and maybe move into BC, thereby pushing BC to the moon? I'm getting the feeling that BC is superior to MINT because we have a better community and better dev, rat4, who looks for problems to fix, whether it benefits BC or not.

I doubt MINT can be killed right now but it can be crippled to the point of no longer registering on the radar. PANDA was an example of this.

Hypothetically, It's an operation that requires say 10 large MINT bagholders who have purchased MINT when it was around 4 Satoshi or under. They would then pool their coins into a single Mintpal account keeping track of the proportion each has contributed. They would need around 357,300,000 MINT. They would then, in one go, without warning, fill every buy order down to 4 Satoshi. This would create mass panic and leave some with orders at 5 satoshi elated while others who bought at 20 will be fuming. What that does, as shown by Wolong with PANDA coin, is turn the distribution upside down. Those who placed low ball offers with a little bitcoin now have more Mint than those with 5 times more BTC. People will say "This is bullshit! Some asshole with .75BTC has more MINT in one second than me with 4BTC and months of daytrading - fuck this coin! I'm out"

The coin would slowly self destruct from that point, at 5 satoshi and under Mint would disappear off the radar as just another defunct altcoin.

While this is happening the BTC proceeds are divided up by the person in control of the Mintpal account and sent to their respective owners in proportion to the amount of MINT they have contributed to the scheme.

That BTC could then be put into Blackcoin straight away buying up all the cheap coins, with price skyrocketing at the demise of MINT.

The reason this would cripple MINT and not kill it is because there would still be those with religious attachment to the coin who would keep it alive on life support - much like the KARMA guys or the TIPS guys.

I wouldn't condone such an operation but that is how it could be done, hypothetically speaking.

Interesting, and no one here has enough MINT to help out? I sold off some MINT and bought a ton of BC. But, I still need to offload my MINT. I would like a good price for MINT though and a good place would be when BC is low so that I can increase my BC postion.

LOL Karmacoin.

Why would anyone with big MINT holding want to destroy it?

anyone know the fix to the decimal point being off by 100?  Everything is correct expect it says 2301 instead of 23.01 for example.
see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=22785.msg4601816#msg4601816

Thank you, fixed problem.

Shocker:  They just "found" the rest of the missing Mt Gox coins.

I said before that they would all be found and reimbursed because all of this is really $500 million coming from the Koch Brothers who have just bought the 2 vacant board seats on the Bitcoin Foundation.

This is good news in a way cause the govt will have a hard time completely taking over Bitcoin now.

But it's bad news cause Bitcoin is now fully and completely centralized.  Then again, it was a lie to say it was ever designed to be decentralized.

Source?

So why did he call the coin a scam?

I think he was just upset in the moment.

Stomp dumping people I just bought in at 8255. Grin

If you are looking at the long term, then do not worry.  If you are only doing short term trade, then it wasn't the smartest buy.

Day trading BC is a lot of fun.  Sell high and buy back on a dip.  Adds liquidity to the market and you end up with more BC in the end.

Can anyone help with this? I just built blackcoind to try it out. After a few hours, I'm sync'ed with the blockchain, as the last timestamp is 03/21/14 22:03:20...one minute ago... but I'm still getting "error: no response from server" when I issue commands.

This is running under ubuntu 12.10. Still occasionally flushing the wallet, but it's not loading any new blocks except as they come out it seems. When I built it I had to run apt-get install libdb++-dev instead of the suggested lib (but it compiled, so I doubt that's the issue).

I'm kind of at a loss.

Are you sure you are in the blockchaind  directory?  you wan to call blockchain/src/blockchaind getblockcount.

I just got done doing a Ubuntu 12.10 build.

The binary's compiled elsewhere, but there's no way to run getblockcount if the server's not responding. Reading the debug.log the most recent block height I've got is 35740. There's clearly some bullshit happening with -1 and 0000000000 being spewed out of this sucker, but hopefully the devs will have an answer...

you have to call blackcoind from where it compiled.

I am working on converting http://insight.bitcore.io/ to work with BlackCoin.  I have the Blackcoind and the insight running on my server already and syncing with blackcoind.  Just need to fix some issues with the differences between Bitcoin and Blackcoin address verification ect.

This will give us something much like blockchain.info

Anyone with any experience modding the js code feel free to pm me.

959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OSC]OpenSourcecoin-- Traded @ OpenEx, Coinex, Cryptsy BRAND NEW WEBSITE!! on: March 20, 2014, 08:15:14 PM
did a lil more work on opensourcecoin.org today

one day next week i'll set aside a time to really make the website pop, and add more useful information. eventually i plan to build a fully featured block explorer for OSC, something like blockchain.info

try to bear in mind i'm busy most of the time with OpenEx, but i still will not neglect OSC.

Did you ever try using http://insight.bitcore.io/

9/14/15  =  9/1415  =  9/11!

This logic resembles the law of fives.

Why not use other numbers?

Why would I use other numbers?  These aren't my numbers, it's merely the date I chose as the next and biggest economic collapse the US has ever seen.

All I'm doing above is adding up the digits of the day and year [14/15] which add up to 11 or 9/11.

That's it!

It was just an observation and it could be just a coincidence but I thought it very interesting that the date I had chosen for the next collapse stood for 9/11.

Running out of time for iXcoin to hit $10 this month.
