941  Economy / Economics / Re: Increase in stable coins adoption might just be the key to crpyto dominance. on: August 28, 2023, 06:46:45 AM
The thing about stablecoins is this.... it was developed to mimic fiat currencies and that is it's ultimate downfall. Other Crypto coins have good volatility and that help people to make good profits, if they use Crypto currency as an investment. (A lot of them even beat inflation)

The stablecoins are used to park money, when there are too much volatility and that does not increase it's utility. There are also more benefits to other Crypto currencies, like Smart contracts and side chain developments.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here is a tight slap to bitcoin haters on: August 28, 2023, 06:24:51 AM
The "Bitcoin is Dead" narrative are pushed from "controlled" media..... and it is basically driven by Bitcoin's competition. The powerful people behind these media groups does not want Bitcoin to succeed, so they use the media to publish FUD articles to scare people.

That sites is as old as the mountains, but it is still a "golden oldie" and still very applicable to this day. The trolls and competitors and haters should all be redirected to that site, when they go onto social media.  Roll Eyes
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China crackdown against gambling streaming on: August 27, 2023, 09:54:54 AM
Everyone thought that Bitcoin mining would collapse after the Chinese government effectively banned Bitcoin mining in China and it did not happen.  Roll Eyes The Chinese citizens found alternative ways to continue mining, even if it caused them to relocate to other countries.  Grin

We also know that the Chinese citizens are very clever citizens and a firewall are not stopping the things that are banned in their country. People find ways to circumvent these measures, without the government knowing it.

The positive thing is... if they relocate to another country, then their taxes will go to another government, where it is allowed. (They can gather coins and take gambling holidays in countries where it is not banned)  Grin Grin Grin
944  Economy / Gambling / Re: Concept of Halal Casino on: August 27, 2023, 09:42:55 AM
I do not think this is in any way related to gambling, but rather a subtle way to spread information about the Muslim religion and how they should practice their religion.

The Muslim religion does not allow their followers to gamble, so those people should not even hang out in a gambling section of this forum. If they need answers, they must go find it in their Quran or their religious leaders.  Roll Eyes

Let's just talk about gambling here...  Wink
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: invest what you can loss. on: August 27, 2023, 09:32:05 AM
We repeat this like a mantra on this forum and to our family and friends... but nobody listen. The moment when they buy coins with money that they cannot afford, then they need that money and have to sell prematurely and that is when they occur losses.

You have to "time" the market to sell exactly at the right price to maximize your profits, if you are forced to sell before that time... then you have to expect that you are going to have losses or a very small profit.

The people who do this..... blame Bitcoin for their losses or small profits and they turn into haters.  Roll Eyes

~snip~
Now burning methane gas to produce electricity, might not be the most environment friendly option, but it is released into the air in any way.. so why should we not use it?

Perhaps because we should not give additional arguments to those who use it to portray Bitcoin as one of the great threats to our environment, no matter how meaningless it is if we take into account the facts from all relevant research. Those who mine BTC of course do it for profit, but I believe that they should always strive to use clean and renewable energy sources, although even these energy sources are not something that does not leave an impact on the environment.

The less oil, methane, coal and similar fuels associated with Bitcoin, the better for all of us in the long run.

Well, the methane gas that are being produced are going into the atmosphere and it is going to waste. If you can use that to generate electricity and that is more environmental friendly than burning coal or in some cases Diesel generators.... then that is a positive thing.

I think they said that they are not allowed to push that electricity back into the grid for some reason, so they are using it on-site to power their Bitcoin miners.... so they are using an alternative power source to mine.... and that is a positive thing.  Wink
947  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 26, 2023, 04:39:05 PM
I think one of the biggest mistakes people are making is to forget to adjust their budget according to inflation. They get below inflation increases every year and then they keep on spending at the same rate.

They also do not make provision for inflation in their savings.. so they draw too much from their savings and that quickly reduce those savings and it eats into their capital. (Always try to invest into something that gives you more than inflation)  Wink
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What micro games is best for you? on: August 26, 2023, 04:32:24 PM
I like to play original games like "Tome of Life" and "Scarab Spin" on Stake.com, when my gambling budget is low.... I seldom win anything note worthy when I play them, but it keeps me entertained for hours.

I also have a "Crash" & "Dice" combo strategy... where "Crash" is the feeder and "Dice" is the tool for wagering. It is a high risk strategy, but most of the time it pays... and I can wager for a few hours.  Grin Grin Grin
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think we need to start asking people if...... on: August 26, 2023, 04:19:54 PM
That is exactly what I did at work....

I asked them if they were willing to give 15% of my salary in Bitcoin (because that was what I usually converted myself) and they agreed. Then I went around and asked a few food merchants in our area, if they accepted Bitcoin and three of them did.

Now, I get bitcoins as part of my salary and I spend some of it on food for lunch. It is so satisfying to oil the system and to keep Bitcoin going by spending bitcoins.. and not just hoarding it.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
950  Economy / Economics / Re: People keep talking how weak dollar and how bad usa economy getting on: August 25, 2023, 07:48:24 AM
I think the USA and some of the western countries are going to receive some push back from the BRICS countries, because BRICS are growing and more countries are joining it.

The USA are not the only country in the world that were affected by the impact of the war between Russia and the Ukraine. The Covid pandemic started a global meltdown in the economy of all the countries....and the war just made things worst.  Tongue

Hi there, I have difficulty logging into my account for the past few days.

It seems that freebico.in has been blocked in Singapore. I couldn't even visit the login page. I have tried on a few of public internet and the result is the same- blocked.

Is there any reason for blocking user access in Singapore?

Have you tried to bypass that by testing if it will login via a VPN? I know Freebitco.in has implemented KYC verification lately, so they might have implemented region restrictions too?

Do you gamble at other casinos too? .....and are they restricted too...? It might be a cloudflare restriction and not a restriction from the site it self.  Huh Huh Huh
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shared idea on Bitcoin scarcity and it's relation to halving on: August 25, 2023, 06:44:00 AM
I think the Bitcoin "scarcity" for Dummies, can be best explained by thinking of the old Gold miners.

They dug tunnels into the ground, trying to find Gold channels and then excavating it and using hard labor to extract it from the earth. They know that there are a limited amount of Gold in the earth, so they competed with each other to get it.

Bitcoin was designed by Satoshi Nakamoto to simulate the same concept, where a limited amount of tokens are hard-coded into the protocol and people are competing to mine it. Satoshi also made sure that the block reward will decline over time, to simulate the depletion of the resource... like Gold.  Grin

We have to admire Satoshi's brilliance, if you look at this whole concept.  Grin Grin Grin
953  Bitcoin / Press / [2023-08-22] Bitcoin Mining Startup Raises $13 Million to Turn Trash Into BTC on: August 25, 2023, 06:32:34 AM
https://decrypt.co/153346/bitcoin-mining-startup-raises-13-million-to-turn-trash-into-btc/

"Nodal Power has secured a substantial $13 million funding round to continue converting methane gas produced by landfills into electricity, which is then dispatched to local electricity grids as renewable power."

"powers 500 miners for 40 petahashes per second (PH/s) of capacity."

"A recent KPMG report suggested that the volume of flared methane in the U.S. and Canada could potentially power the entire Bitcoin network."

Now burning methane gas to produce electricity, might not be the most environment friendly option, but it is released into the air in any way.. so why should we not use it?

954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Stay Safe and Avoid Scams When Gambling Online on: August 24, 2023, 07:14:54 AM
The thing is... if you do not provide legit information when you sign on.. and it turns out that the casino is legit.. then you might not be able to withdraw later on.. when they validate your KYC information.

This has happened to me before... I created a "test account" on a legit site and I deposited funds to test it... and I won a large amount.. then they asked for further KYC information and I was "red faced" because I provided fake information when I created it for the "test"

I now do proper research before I create an account to prevent that in the future.  Grin
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Personal favorite on: August 24, 2023, 07:08:07 AM
This whole post smells fishy.... the Bitcointalk account were first registered:    July 27, 2017, 03:38:10 AM ...... and it has been idle for many years... now it suddenly pops up and it advertises a dodgy casino?

I tried the site... and it was not stable for me... but it might have been my VPN connection to the site. I will be very cautious to deposit money there.... it looks like a fly by night operation.  Roll Eyes
956  Economy / Economics / Re: What Actually Drives People/Gov to Adopt New and Bold Decisions on: August 24, 2023, 06:07:33 AM
We live in a world with a growing population and diminishing resources. A lot of governments and powerful people realize that and they are trying to find ways to feed their "voters" and also to provide energy and water.

The people (voters) keep them in power and they pay taxes.... the taxes pay their salaries, so they will do anything to keep the voters happy, so that they can benefit from that. (The powerful people behind them, want to make money from the resources that are provided... and some even pay huge bribes to the government officials to gain access to those resources)  Roll Eyes
957  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-08-22] Coinotag - Did the Recent Bitcoin Drop Create a Buying Opportunity? on: August 24, 2023, 05:40:17 AM
Well, people are not just talking about buying on the dip, they are also making bets on where the Bitcoin price will be in the near future. https://cointelegraph.com/news/adam-back-bitcoin-price-bet-all-time-high-halving <=== he is pretty confident Bitcoin will hit an all-time high of over $100,000 before Bitcoin's halving in 2024.

So, if his prediction is true, then buying at $26 000 now, will give people a significant profit in 2024..... but time will tell if he is right or wrong.  Roll Eyes
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin at this Price limit its Global Adoption? on: August 24, 2023, 05:31:50 AM
You do not have to own and hoard a significant amount of Bitcoin to use it as a currency. You can buy a couple of Satoshi for a dollar or two and still be able to use it.

On the other hand... if you want to buy it as an investment, then the same thing apply.. you buy small amounts on a continuous basis, until you have a significant amount of coins. (Rome was not built in a day.... you build it brick by brick over a long period)  Wink
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 23, 2023, 07:15:45 AM
There are some casinos out there that have a complex KYC process....

I saw examples where people cleared the Level 1 and 2 and they thought that was enough, but the moment when they won something big and they wanted to withdraw it, then the casino force them to KYC to a higher level.

This is where the stalling tactics starts, with the casinos not validating the documents for months or sometimes not at all... because they do not want to pay out the withdrawals.  Roll Eyes

So..yes, be very careful with the KYC verification.  Roll Eyes
960  Economy / Gambling / Re: LEGIT CRYPTO/PAYPAL COCKFIGHTING CASINO!!!! on: August 23, 2023, 07:05:28 AM
I doubt the authenticity of the OP. A few days ago, they posted a topic searching for a cockfighting casino, and now they're promoting an underground casino that uses PayPal. It doesn't make sense to use PayPal in this context, as there's a risk of chargebacks and the payee can dispute the transaction and reclaim the paid amount. Regardless, for those who are interested, it is crucial to carefully consider before using such a platform. Moreover, why would anyone bet on animal killing when there are other options that provide the same kind of adrenaline rush?

I sincerely doubt you have ever experienced an actual adrenaline rush in your entire fucking life. Please tell me the most adrenaline packed experience you've ever had in your life. Winning a battle royale in fortnite doesn't count. Real men need real fucking action. Not all of us are just content to play fucking video games, and hang out on bitcointalk.org. I should've known a forum like this would be filled to the brim with a bunch of basement dwelling losers. Probably all eating chicken sandwiches while you act horrified and appalled by cockfighting

Real men do not kill animals for fun..... I am a hunter and I kill for food. (That makes me a real man)

You come here and promote some underground operation ..... which are illegal in most countries. Real men... have legit sites that are marketed in public. (No hide and seek strategies and posting under a newbie account)

You know animal activist will close down the operation, if they track it with the information that you provide here... I think you should move on and try other platforms, if you think everyone on this platforms are "pussies"  Roll Eyes
