941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Claim BCC from Blockchain.info wallet on: August 01, 2017, 11:25:49 AM
As long as you have your private key you can gain bcc. You only need to have bitcoin before the hard fork. You can export your private key to grab free bcc as I understood.

I don't think that Blockchain provides private keys. When does the fork coming? Is it too late now or not? (i mean they said 12:20PM - but in which GMT (+0?). I've curently 13:16 PM in my country)
Blockchain.info seems to support private keys
The first result, I found from google:

943  Economy / Services / Re: Care4Me Avatar & Signature Campaign [Earn BTC & CareCoin] on: August 01, 2017, 11:08:17 AM

944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So the Bitcoincash will have lower transaction fees? on: August 01, 2017, 10:43:57 AM
Did anyone already gain Bitcoin Cash into his wallet?
945  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: August 01, 2017, 10:40:57 AM
I also don't see any Bitcoin Cash, but I think it is to early to expect the "new bitcoin". You need to have a wallet where, you have your own private key or what supports the split.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have $10 to invest? on: July 31, 2017, 01:13:16 PM
I invest in promising ICOs that come with innovative projects like f.e. Solar DAO with worldwide solar parks or CareCoin that brings together nurces with patients. So I can support interesting development projects and also gain good profits even with little money in the future. And I save a little amount on "old" altcoins like ETH, ZCASH, DASH, LTC and Doges ( Smiley ).
947  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will happen after SEGWIT? on: July 31, 2017, 12:58:19 PM
Yes, I also aim for a happy ending for BTC on August 1. More interesting and a bit harder to predict will be a possible hardfork in November. But BTC is strong and stable. It is accepted on many places all over the world, so I see a very good future for Bitcoin.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite type of gambling? on: July 31, 2017, 12:52:10 PM
My favorite type of gambling is a game with strategy on the game itself or a game what can be done with a bot for example dice game.
With strategy games like poker or sportsbets the prohabilities to win can be increased a bit with knowledge and skills, I think.
949  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it safe to join hashflare.io ? on: July 31, 2017, 12:38:06 PM
Hashflare seems to be one of the three or for serious cloud mining services that exist, but the ROI is far away. So you should be very patient to make profit on longterm. I wanted to fasten the mining power but went although down because of mining difficulty and the fees got up.
950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Fun Poll for BTC vs BCC on: July 31, 2017, 12:32:11 PM
I also will not dump BTC or BCC or a third coin that will maybe come for free on next split in November. Only if I get BTC 1:1 for BCC Smiley.
951  Economy / Economics / Re: War on cash in the EU : very bullish for BTC on: July 31, 2017, 09:23:30 AM
Yes, holders of Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies will take profit from EU cash war. At least as long as governments and financial institutes will not have implementet their own cryptocurrencies. I guess, this will take 10 to 20 years Smiley.

953  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Safe to keep coins on exchanges? on: July 30, 2017, 09:47:38 PM
There is besides the security aspect another reason, which could be argued against  keeping the coins with an exchanger: some exchangers like for example poloniex don't like that and demand customers to actively use their services. So, before you keep your coins at an exchanger for a longer period without activity, you should first read their tos.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost my bitcoins on: July 30, 2017, 07:29:09 PM
Isn't mBTC the same currency as BTC? If yes, then missing amount should be still in the wallet from where btc was sent, or did I get something wrong?
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can Electrum users access BCC? on: July 30, 2017, 07:08:53 PM
In case you haven't seen this, there is a fake "Electrum Cash" wallet going around, and I wouldn't trust that at all because it's not approved by the official Electrum team.

Electrum has delivered the following statement:

https://electrum.org/bcc.txt

So given that there is no official support, I only see the www.bitcoincash.org full node as the only option to access your BCC.

My question is, if you have your coins on your Electrum wallet, and if you don't have enough time to download the blockchain before August 1st to get a full Core client running then get the coins on the full BCC client (I see a lot of people saying that they can't do it in time), then how can these people access their BCC?

As far as I know you can't import the seed from Electrum into Bitcoin Core (even tho it supports HD format now so im not sure)

I also heard importing private keys is not safe and you should avoid that.

What's the solution then to access these coins?
Looks, like you can gain bcc also in electrum in a quite easy way. As preposters already descriped, you should create a new electrum wallet as I understand the step by step tutorial, I found here:

956  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Panic 31-J on: July 30, 2017, 05:02:57 PM
That was the risk of the UASF BIP148 idea. If UASF BIP148 took traction, this would mean that the legacy chain would be wiped out forever, and only BIP148 UASF chain would survive and that would become de-facto BTC.

The good side is that you avoid the possibility of 2 bitcoins forever, the bad side is that if you are on the legacy chain and you sold your 148 coins for BTC you risk lossing it all.

Luckily, BIP148 is now out of the picture. I wouldn't worry about BCC at all.

If you want to worry, worry about november's supposed hardfork to segwit2x... now that 's something I don't see clear at all. I hope the NYA camp gets convinced of the mistake of hardforking in 3 months.

After Aug 1, will BTC and BCC be on the same chain ?
And does the supposed Nov harddork mean the possibility of having 2 bitcoins on entirely different chains or nodes ??

Hardfork = 2 different chains. So you can consider BCC to be an altcoin. It may share the same blockchain up to the point of the split, but from now on, BCC is an altcoin. BTC remains the original bitcoin, so sell your BCC in exchange for BTC at our own peril.

If in 1 nov there's a hardfork to segwit2x, there's a possibility we'll have 3 freaking bitcoins. I hope the segwit2x gets nowhere and they decide not to hardfork because we'll see a price crash again.
Another hardfork in november also could bring us a second free interesting altcoin. But can't imagine it would let bitcoin crash.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Poloniex down? on: July 30, 2017, 04:34:36 PM
A few months before poloniex seemed to have problems with ddos attacks, so that no order could be executed for hours. But the last time I didn't recognize any problems.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: effect of bitcoincash to btc price? on: July 30, 2017, 12:38:38 PM
No, i think bitcoin cash is not enough supported to effect bitcoin price. More important for bitcoin price is, how smooth the transactions will work after August 1.
For my opinion BTC will continue its upturn. But I will hold gained Bitcoin Cash also.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Under $10 Investing Question on: July 30, 2017, 08:40:30 AM
I like your idea to buy a convolute of cheap coins and hold them long enough. If we would have done for example at beginning for this year for doge and bytecoin, we also would be reach. BCN was 0.000005 $ and dogecoin was 0.00002 $. So also many new cryptocurrencies with meaningful projects behind them give a good chance for high profits and to support innovative technologies and developments.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: "YObit", "CRYPTOPIA", which is the most trusted exchange office? on: July 30, 2017, 06:10:26 AM
I use Yobit, Cryptopia, Livecoin and Bittrex to buy new altcoins. Had no problems with deposit and withdraw on all these exchangers yet. All four have a faver feature for me. Cryptopia with its nice freebies on chatbox, yobit with its investbox and ico listings, on livecoin ICO must pay a lot to get listed, so that the odd for scam is very low and bittrex with its high volumen, many tokens and lending market.
